I camerieri è tutto in generale
lovely hotel very clean and food good plenty of choice. Busy but still able to get food and drinks with not much queuing ( like some reviews say ) no problems. entertainment not that good at night ( sound problems ) and i think mini disco should be on earlier. lovely having 7 pools ( wished they were not so deep ) i’m only 5’ 2 “ there was a quiet pool by our block Quinta but really needs sign up to say adults only because some children are very noisy (only normal ) my grandchildren were with us age 8 and 3 they went into the other pools ( more fun for them ) all said we had great time an location was great
We stayed for a a 7 night stay, the outside of the hotel has a warm welcoming feel. We arrived to the hotel at around 14:15pm (transfer time form airport is around 1 hour 20mins) reception is welcoming, warm and has a very relaxing atmosphere, however on check in we were then told it was till 15:00pm so we were happy to wait and went to the snack bar and got a drink come 15:00pm our room still wasn't ready and wasn't ready again until 15:55pm as you can imagine after flying and being in the heat we were sweaty and feeling dirty. Our room was a little set back from the pool areas which were perfect, the rooms were nice and clean, air con worked perfectly and the rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels we had no complaints. There is a wide range of pools to choose from and our daughter loved them all however, two of the main pools are very deep at 1.9 Meters and 2.3 Meters and the slides led into the 1.9 Meters my daughter can swim but didn't feel comfortable going down the slides or swimming without a ring in these pools, they are way to deep. The pool to the side was much party and we spent the majority of the time in that one, at night around the pools were left in a mess with floats and toys which let it down quite a bit, also let it down was the people reserving sun beds from 05:00AM in the morning even though it says not to reserve which was annoying, we attended breakfast and never had an issue getting sunbeds apart from when day. The food was hit and miss, it was great but wasn't awful, was annoying that they would have nice food but not much to make a meal, i.e., chilli but no rice? which got annoying. The entertainment was fab and we cant complain on any of it, it was brilliant every night. The area was ok with the beach a short work away however the beach was absolutely rubbish and very rocky, Cala N Bosch is a short walk away 10 minutes and is much better and nicer and the harbour is lovely it really comes to life at the evening. As many have put this isn't a four star hotel and is more of a three star. Seems things that could be improved it is the area around the pool at night, the food, and better control of sunbeds, apart from this we had a super holiday together, but we wouldn't return to Menorca due to how expensive it is when there.
Firstly, my advice would be to ignore every negative review - especially regarding food/drink system... Drinks: On the drink system, personally I think that this amazing. The token/drink system means the hotel is one of the cleanest I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. No stray cups, no errant plastics and staff who are focused on serving their customers as opposed to having to clean up mess! Food: When it comes to the food, there was always a massive salad bar as well as hot offerings. Some reviews mentioned cold food? This seems absurd considering the 2-3 chefs who were cooking fresh and to order every night! Location: The location of this hotel is fantastic. Even with a pram, the local beach is approx. 2-3minute walk from the back entrance of the hotel, and the Marina is approx. 8-10 minute walk. The Marina (which we visited 2 days running) is full of shops selling souvenirs, trinkets and the necessities as well as yacht side restaurants with tapas galor. Furthermore, simply a 2 minute step away is another stunning, sandy beach to enjoy swimming, castle building or even snorkeling. Facilities: We travelled with a 4 year old, and this hotel had so much to offer! The splash park, slides and multiple pools were on the agenda every day. But what we didn't expect was his excitement to attend the on-site kids club daily. The younger club, based central in the hotel ran a range of activities and games for children up to 5 years old. Initially as a nervous parent, we only let him join in for 30 minutes (with 10 minute checkins), however it got to the point that he was excited daily to find out what they would be doing next and by the end of the week, he was attending for much longer. Credit to the kids club team and thank you for your kindness and care. Overall: Our stay at Sol Falco was amazing. Without a doubt, we would recommend this hotel (and already have). Thank you to all involved in our magical family holiday.
This was our first visit to this hotel, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. We booked through TUI as a family of five, which meant we originally had to reserve two separate rooms. On arrival, we asked if it would be possible to have interconnecting rooms, and the reception staff changed this for us without any issues, which was a great start to our holiday. The hotel and pool areas were spotless. Every morning there were teams of cleaners working hard to keep everything immaculate. We were up early having 3 children so didn’t find getting us beds any problem, there seemed enough to go around. The food in the main restaurant was excellent, with plenty of choice and themed evenings that catered for everyone. The pool bar menu was a little repetitive, but we’ve found that’s fairly typical at most all-inclusive hotels. A great idea the hotel uses is a token system for drinks cups. You exchange your token for a cup at the bar and then swap the used cup back for either a clean one or your token. It worked really well and kept the pool area tidy, with no discarded cups attracting flies. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The beach is less than a five-minute walk away and is absolutely beautiful. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and the harbour is only around a ten-minute walk. It’s well worth a visit, especially in the evening. We didn’t spend much time watching the evening entertainment, but there seemed to be a good variety of shows and activities on offer. A few tips for future visitors: ● If you enjoy a cup of tea first thing in the morning, bring a travel kettle, as it’s €3 per day to hire one. ● If you’re travelling with young children, take armbands or other swimming aids, as the pools are quite deep. ● There’s a handy shop in the hotel that sells pool toys, inflatables and other essentials if you need anything during your stay. Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to return. We’d happily recommend this hotel to families looking for a clean, friendly hotel in a great location.
This has been a fabulous holiday for 5 adults and 3 children. I emailed the hotel before we came asking for adjacent room near the splash pool, and they certainly ticked that box, thank you !! You have made our once in a lifetime holiday exceptional!!! My suggestions to improve the hotel would be to implement some sort of app/system to communicate with the guests. We had 2 power cuts during our stay but heard nothing from the hotel. There was also a sudden change in the rules regarding inflatables in the pool - which coincided with a meeting of the company execs! The pools are deep, so bring inflatable rings, although there are plenty of goggles and inflatables left from other guest. Also umbrellas for shade again we acquired 3 during our stay. The food- the buffet is plentiful and varied, and there are tables inside and out. It can get busy, so pick your times to avoid the rush. There is wine and glasses available during lunch and dinner. We had gold bands because we booked large family rooms, so we could have bottles of wine rather than draft at meal times and we could queue separately for the bar ( which was a blessing as the queues did get big at some times)
My wife, daughter and I stayed here in July and whilst this hotel has some elements which would merit a four-star rating, it fell short in other areas. On the plus side, the hotel has excellent swimming pools and lovely grounds, gardens, and is near a really nice beach. Our room was clean, and whilst quite basic, did have the essentials. Food was mostly good although quite repetitive. They did have branded Coca-Cola drinks on tap and you could also fill drinks bottles at one of the many mineral water stations in the complex. The staff were excellent but unfortunately there just weren't enough of them. The biggest issue was the air conditioning. In our room. It was very weak and only marginally got better in the second half of our stay. One night was so bad that we asked for a couple of electric fans which they promised would be delivered to our room, but never arrived. In the main building the air conditioning was almost non-existent. Hence, with the weather being so warm outside, it was very difficult to find anywhere inside to keep cool. Another issue was that in the restaurant area you are left to find your own table. With a four-star rating, we would have expected this hotel to assigner us a table rather than having to battle with other holiday guests, walking up and down the restaurant, just to find a clear table. There were not enough staff to clear the tables and relay them. Sadly, on one evening a piece of chicken teriyaki that I thankfully didn't eat, was raw in the middle. Whilst it's good the hotel provides lifeguards, it would be beneficial if they could make their signage clear for the water slides. Our daughter fell foul of one of the rules, because it was not clear to us that she couldn't use the middle green slide. Once the lifeguard clarified the situation, we were happy to oblige - with our daughter using the outer two slides instead. All the staff were polite and courteous, but this is a hotel where you are very much left to your own devices. When the hotel experienced a power cut one evening, there was no sign of any management to advise guests of what had happened. Instead, it was a waiter who told us. One element the hotel did really well was with its entertainment staff, who are all very enthusiastic and engaging with the young ones. Our daughter particularly enjoyed mini disco. They also laid on many other activities for guests to participate in. This added quite a lot of fun to our holiday. Overall, this is a hotel which has potential but needs to take a much more personal approach with its guests. Whilst the facilities may merit this hotel being a four-star, the service and their approach to looking after their guests (plus the weak air conditioning), unfortunately doesn't.
Room was cleaned to a good standard and beds were made daily, we stayed in mansion and another family in our group stayed in hacienda they had ants and found a couple of cockroaches which the hotel arranged it be cleaned immediately , but we had no issues in our room. Apart from the fact the air conditioning kept going off in the middle of the night and we would wake up sweating with condensation on the mirrors. The aircon was very on and off. Power cut during one of the days meant we couldn’t get certain drinks this was not communicated well by management only passed on by word of mouth from other holidaymakers. Understand Spanish is the main language spoken, but a lot of Italian was spoken and French, and hardly any English which meant sometimes we did not understand what was going on with entertainment especially for the kids. However the entertainment staff were fantastic real stars of the hotel ! Shows were very good enjoyed them all . I don’t feel this is a 4 star hotel , buffet was very hit and miss some days lots of variety other days not so much not many choices for children and yesterday had 3 trays of Brussels sprouts !! Pools good but too deep and at one pint floats were banned from the water then unbanned very confusing . Never see the jet 2 rep seemed to be more signage and engagement from altos and club corralia would ah e loved some more involvement from let 2 being more visible and more information on excursions the information was mainly Spanish french or Italian so could not see or understand what was available and when asked they were fully booked. Overall hotel more of a 3 star but great hardworking entertainers could not fault them and one in particular really tried to make sure we were involved speaking English aswell as Italian French n Spanish very impressive when doing the sangria making yesterday. Pools too deep couldn’t enjoy slides as was in one for 1.9 metres too deep too stand up n support a child .
The hotel was absolutely spotless the rooms was basic but had plenty of space for our things and our grandaughter, the food was good plenty of choice, now the negatives the pools are to deep we ended up at the side pool all week, twice we at to get our beds changed due to loads of ants In both beds give the hotel they sorted it out twice the entertainment we didn't see. our grandaughter cried as the minI disco was so loud hurt her ears we did go to reception even after that it was unbelievable loud even for us we wouldn't return
We went here with a child that can’t swim and one that isn’t a great swimmer and to our misfortunes all pools were incredible deep and weren’t even able to use the slides as the slide pool was 1.90 m deep and weren’t able to stand in it to catch the children we ended using all week the only pool small enough 1.50 m deep that was overly crowded so to the same reason, the room cleanliness wasn’t the greatest, in 7 nights spent there our bedding was only changed once , we run out of hand soap on the second day and the staff never replaced it as couldn’t be bothered to check on it the floors were constantly dirty and there were mould in the bathroom, there is only one bar serving the drinks and constantly massive queues many times to ended not getting a drink because of it and the big majority of the staff including the entertainment team could not speak English the children’s had no idea what it was happening end ended leaving early from the she because of it!
Just returned from our holiday with our grandchildren, daughter and partner. I had reservations with being an all-inclusive stay and noticed some negative reviews.. but I have to say everything about this hotel is pretty good and extremely well organised.. Firstly the rooms aren’t massive but absolutely fine for 2 adults and a child. The shower room was big and shower quite powerful with shower gel and shampoo fixed to the wall. Rooms were cleaned every day to an adequate standard.. Beds I thought were very comfortable with a small tv on the wall but only one English news channel which was fine for us. Balcony quite small but ok and handy for letting towels dry on the line provided. No kettle but you can hire one and also there is a charge for the safe. We stayed at the Mansion block on first floor behind the relaxing pool which was lovely and quiet. Please note no lifts but only ground and first floor rooms. Pools were lovely and so many to choose from. They are deep but the the big oblong pool is 1.50m in depth. This is about as shallow as it gets for a swim I’m 5ft 6 and could stand up which was nice. splash park very good for the little ones.. armbands and Swim jackets advised at the main pool with water slides are 2.30m-other side 1.90m in depth. You have to keep an eye on them when using the water slides to check no-one comes down and lands on a child at the bottom of the slide.. Pool towels provided and they give you a card to change them every 3 days before 10.30am at the clubhouse. Food all-inclusive was good bare in mind you’re never going to get restaurant quality with any all-inclusive but I enjoyed the chicken wings and everything was better than I expected.. I’m just not a fan of all-inclusive but honestly I couldn’t fault it.. if I was being picky then I would say queuing for the coffee machine was a bit annoying towards the end.. just got fed up walking around and queuing but that comes with being on all-inclusive stay. Plenty of sun beds but need some more sun parasols.. I didn’t have trouble finding some but it was getting busy towards the end of our holiday and lots of people were looking for shade. Kids club was fine but Spanish spoken.. was a bit difficult for our little ones but they still enjoyed the dancing at times. Yes it does get hot in the main building with only fans on the ceiling.. Overall we had a really lovely time. A week was ample for us but have to say a big thank you to everyone who works in this hotel they all do an amazing job and very well organised.
I stayed at Sol Falcó in June/July 2026 for 2 weeks. We were a family of 5 ranging from age 4 to 70. On arrival at 1pm check in was really quick & straight forward and the Reception team checking us in were really friendly. We were informed our room would only be ready at 3pm but we could start to use the facilities. Due to house keeping we only managed to get in our rooms at 4pm - it was annoying as we’d been up since 2am but nothing major. Rooms are quite basic, quite small and not much storage for clothes and suitcases for 3 people - but we managed. House keeping refresh your room every day - make beds & change towels if required. It didn’t seem at any time they do a deep clean. We had issues with ants & cockroaches - we came in one evening to an infestation of ants on my 4 year old nieces bed!! She wouldn’t sleep in the bed for the rest of the holiday so shared a bed with her mum. I reported this to Reception and asked could the sheets be changed and could our rooms be sprayed - later that day after the cleaners had been in I checked and the bed hadn’t been changed as you could still see where I tried to kill the ants! We woke up on 3 occasions with a cockroach in our room and then one morning a dead cockroach on our balcony and 100s of ants eating it - AWFUL.. Cleaners DO NOT CLEAN the balcony! We had to physically show her the cockroach & ants so she’d clean it up as they don’t even check the balconies! FOOD - The food is not bad but it is COLD and I mean cold! Regardless the time of day it’s cold… Cold beans, cold chips, cold gravy/sauces, cold vegetables!… It seems the food is put out about 1 hour before the meal times & the hot plates just don’t keep it hot. For breakfast I’d suggest eggs or omelettes as they are made constantly but other meal times prepare for your food to be cold! There are micro waves but you shouldn’t have to heat your food up even if it is buffet style service it should still be at a decent temperature! There are a number of swimming pools doted around the hotel and we never had any trouble getting a sun lounger regardless the time of day you went to the pool. The pool where the slides are gets busy than the other pools but there are ample sun loungers around. Please be careful of the pool that the slides land in as they are quite deep! Personally I feel that the depth of all the pools are too deep. You can’t stand up in them unless your above 6ft tall - obviously the kids pool and splash pool are very shallow for the kids but there’s nothing in between so either ankle deep or above your head deep! Haha! The entertainment is really good, we enjoyed some really good shows during our stay and the entertainment team are really nice and friendly. The hotel is close to the 2 beaches, the marina where there’s loads of restaurants if you want to eat out and there’s loads of supermarkets close to the hotel. Although the hotel is nice and has good facilities and the in a great location, it’s unlikely I’d stay here again due to the food - not ideal eating cold food for 2 weeks!
First impression very good, until you come to dine, all looks great visually but everything luke warm or under cooked nothing ever hot even if your first in restaurant, when you pay nearly £8,000 for a family holiday at a minimum you expect decent warm cooked food, the bar also restricted drinks beer poor only one available unless you buy bottles, cocktails out of a machine, the entertainment was poor for kids the evening kids disco was Repetitive all in Spanish no translation, like other resorts we've been to,the main evening entertainment was poor except the Michael Jackson evening, but that finish at 10.30.then nothing even though bar till 11.30,should be some dj on playing music ,pretty poor overall, will not recommend to anyone or ever return, the rooms very basic ,not cleaned properly, swept or moped, ants on terrace or balcony, dead cockroaches on balcony very poor.
Établissement bien équipé Bon petit dej
Propreté de la chambre à revoir ( odeur d’égouts et douche bouchée ) Buffet midi et soir trop cantine
Where do I start? This was the first holiday abroad with our 4 year old and it was perfect from start to finish. From the location, to the staff, to the facilities and entertainment. It really was great for a young family. Located a short 10 minute walk from the Cala n Bosch harbour with many restaurants and bars and the main beach and only a 5 minute walk to the smaller but idyllic Son Xoriguer beach with a small selection of restaurants, it is in a quiet location but has enough around you if you did want to venture out. The hotel has a handful of bus stops nearby where you can catch the bus to the nearby Ciutedella which is only 25 minutes away. The hotel itself has a total of 7 pools, and as pool fans ourselves we thought we would try them all but we were so happy with the central offerings we stayed by the large saltwater pool and splash pool all week. The splash pool and water slides were a huge hit with our son, but just to note the pools are deep so if you have a child who is not a strong swimmer a life jacket buoyancy aid is recommended. If you don't have one then no need to worry as these and numerous other floaties are available at the onsite shop as well as at local shops! There is a big schedule of entertainment events throughout the day and evening, great for the little ones! We joined in some of the daytime events (like the water carpet/inflatable water slides/foam party) and we enjoyed watching the pool dances and the water sports in the saltwater pool every day. We did take our son to the kids disco and the main entertainment but we rarely made it to the end as it does start very late (8.30pm for the kids disco and 9.30pm for the main entertainment). The entertainment on offer was great fun and we enjoyed them all (I especially loved the abba seagulls!) it looked as though there was a variety of entertainment on offer and this was changed up after we left. The food on offer was the best food we have come across at any all inclusive we have visited. Such a huge variety on offer and the bar in the food hall meant you could pair up your lunch or dinner with a jug of sangria (if desired!). Food is not piping hot, because you are eating from a buffet style restaurant, but hot food is not freezing cold, it is the perfect temperature to eat once you sit down! For all inclusive, There is a snack bar available by the pool where you can help yourself to snacks throughout the day (just beware of seagulls if you venture back to your sunbed). To claim your all inclusive drinks you are given a token each and once you use it for a drink you need to keep hold of your cup and return it for tokens or another drink. The system seemed strange at first but was fine once we got used to it! There were also soft drink dispensers by the bar, and a cold water tap by the snack bar! We requested in advance to be away from loud areas (the pools) and to be on a first floor. We got exactly what we requested, it was lovely room with the comfortable pull out bed for our son. Perfect size for all of us! It was quiet yet it was still perfectly close to the central areas. We loved our room and location. The one thing that worried me most before we arrived was the sunbed situation as you hear at some locations this can be a nightmare, however, my concerns were settled immediately, as we arrived midday and there were plenty of sun beds around for us to use. If you want to get a sunbed (and shade) near the splash pool, you will need to come down to the pool earlier as these did go the fastest but there are still sunbeds available around the other pools if not! The staff at this hotel were all warm, welcoming, friendly and kind. They all make you feel at home and so comfortable. Everything about this holiday has exceeded our expectations, we are so happy this was our sons very first holiday experience and we have already spoken about coming back with our wider family members as we think they would all love it! Thank you Sol Falco! You have been a dream!
This hotel is definitely a 10/10 We stayed for 5 days and everyday was brilliant 👏 The rooms are clean n comfortable we did pay for a pool view and was looking at a massive tree all holiday. The pools are lovely always somewhere to sit the drinks are good the cocktails come out of a machine these are not in with the all inclusive but are only 5 euros each The rooms are cleaned daily You can get Beach towels from reception and lend a iron. The food is good always something different to choose from we went out most days for breakfast round the marina. Over all we have had a brilliant stay and will be back with the kids in September. Think we have found are new holiday spot
Stayed here in June 2026 for 7 days and was slightly nervous due to some poor reviews. our expereience is, however, entirely positive. We checked in around midnight and there were cold cuts and drinks available in the restaurant. I found the food to be excellent with a fantastic choice of meat, fish, vegetables, pasta, rice etc which was a great relief after some of the negative reviews. The hotel complex is well laid out with 7 pools (of various sizes) set in beautiful landscaped gardens. Beds were made daily but towel changes depended whether or not you wanted them done, we didn't as we prefer to save our planet. The hotel is beautifully clean and fresh. There's only one bar but with plenty of staff the waiting times were short. There's a token system in use ( you get one token each on arrival and exchange it for a drink at the bar, when you return your cup you get either another drink or your token back) which is a great idea as it stops people getting multiple drinks, A good choice of branded spirits and the beer is San Miguel The main splash pool is quite busy and won't suit everyone but there are other options. We are in our 70's and had our 4 year old grandaughter with, she loved the main pool but was also happy to use the others. Our experience of the entertainment was limited mainly to the mini disco but we did also see a couple of good shows. Overall a great experience and would definitely return
Pepe, Jose, Gabriel and Angel were amazing bar staff and extremely friendly and helpful. They are an credit to the hotel.
Starting positively, all the staff were brilliant and did their best to create a nice environment for the families. The pools are lovely albeit very deep (1.9m) which is what the kids water slides go into. The kids splash pad is brilliant and we were especially grateful for the smaller baby pool which was warmer. The resort is quite big with a number of pools dotted around but there is only one bar which can get quite busy. The food was honestly abysmal. Repetitive, tasteless & boring. Always some sort of pork dish, chewy beef, dry chicken, some sort of meat content in a sauce. Pigs head!? Dried out tasteless pizza every lunch and dinner. If you want to lose a few pounds, eat here for a week. I was beyond hungry every day. The only thing that was enjoyable was breakfast but you can’t go wrong with pastries, cereal & yoghurts. If you do venture out for an edible meal, I’d recommend “La Fontana” 10 minute walk away on the Harbour. The token system they have works well in my opinion, it prevents people leaving their cups everywhere in the pool area and it wasn’t time consuming or anything. Our room was ground floor and was infested with red biting ants. Multiple times we had to ask for our floor to be cleaned. The balcony wasn’t cleaned once during the week we were there. One of the days the ants were eating a cockroach alive under my 2 year olds bed. Dead ants stuck to our feet meaning we had to wear shoes 24/7. Buses to the local city come every 1 hour so time it right and don’t wait in the scorching heat for 40 mins like us. The beaches nearby are lovely but get very busy so you ought to get there early. There’s not much opportunity to do excursions unless you hire a car. Nothing to do in the area for my busy body toddler. The kids “”playroom”” near the restaurant is an empty room with a few bean bags, 2 small baby toys and a chalkboard with no chalk. Completely desolate. Not one book, not one other toy. There wasn’t enough floor staff in the restaurant clearing tables for the volume of people in & out. Boiling hot metal slides in the play area. Toilets aren’t restocked enough. Wouldn’t recommend at all.
Meraviglioso, l’ambiente ideale per una famiglia!
Avrei voluto trovare più opzioni plant based. Almeno 1 yogurt, 1 croissant, 1 dolce ogni tanto, 1 hamburger…. Purtroppo c’è pochissima attenzione per il cibo sano!
Family of 4 visiting hotel in May. Family rooms are downstairs on ground floor. These rooms have a small outside area out the patio doors. This area isn't gated off, fine if kids are older but for young kids they could easily get access to the pools. No shelter from sun (or for us in May it was rain) in outside area as there is no balcony above. Family rooms have adjoining doors which can link two rooms together for bigger parties. This made our room very noisy, we could hear every word the family next door said. Rooms are very basic and quite dated. The pools were good for older kids, the slides are great. Pools are deep though. We saw the lifeguard jump in at least once every day! Baby pool is very small, it's just a wee paddling pool. Breakfast and lunch was always nice. Dinner was very repeptitive, no theme nights. We ate out four nights of the week as we were eating the same lunch and dinner most days. Staff in restaurant were always nice. All inclusive snacks during the day were fine, crisps, fruit, sweeties and usually burgers or chips. Mini disco was good, our three year old loved it. The indoor bar area where the entertainment is was really busy at night. We had dinner quite early so always got a table, but there were families standing by 9/10pm. Some nights only one barman so bar queues were very long. The all inclusive drinks system is ridiculous here, you are issued tokens when you arrive. Using these to pay for a drink, you then need to queue again to redeem your token back when you return your glass! Small playpark which the wee one loved. Indoor kids playroom is very small with nothing in it. Location is good, the beach and entrance to the marina is about ten / fifteen minute walk away. The marina is gorgeous with lots of restaurants to choose from. Small supermarket out the back which was handy.
If you want a holiday for children, with pools, lovely food, clean hotel, close to a beach and beautiful surroundings, this is the place for you! Hotel - set within beautiful landscaping, endless little birds and a little town close to it. Hotel was lovely and clean. It has a great little shop on site selling gifts, pool toys and other bits and bobs. Food - lovely food on the whole, we enjoyed the themed nights of Mexican and Chinese, as well as the usual general nights. Food was warm enough - some have moaned the food is cold. We didn’t experience any cold food - it’s not boiling hot, but what do you expect from a buffet! Pools - there are pools everywhere! All lovely and clean. Yes they are cool as some have complained about - but who wants a hot bubble bath in the boiling sun?! After 10 seconds, you quickly adapt and it’s lovely to be in the pools when the sun is out. Entertainment - great entertainment each night. The usual random assortment from Greatest Showman songs, to Chinese Visual illusions to magicians. We enjoyed them all. Beach - two beaches either 5 or 10 minutes walk away. We are not beach people so didn’t go much - but nice to be so close. Local area - within 10 minutes you are in a harbour/marina area with endless shops and restaurants. It really comes alive a night! Drinks - drinks are done using a coin system. You are given a coin, you trade the coin for a drink in a reusable plastic cup. Once finished, you trade your cup for another drink in a fresh cup or get your coin back to use again next time. Room - a lovely room overseeing the splash pool in our case. Perfect size. Very clean. Cleaners came in daily to make beds and refresh the room. In all, it was a lovely hotel and a lovely relaxing holiday. Before we left, we booked to go back again! You won’t regret it.
We have just returned from a family holiday with our four year old grandson. We arrived at 22.30pm and check in took over one hour with only one member of staff checking in over 20 people, which for a very tired four year old was not good. The positive of the late check in was that there was food available for us which was unexpected. We asked for two rooms together which they did accommodate us with an adjoining door to the two rooms. The rooms were cleaned everyday and towels changed every other day. We were all inclusive and the food was of good quality with a wide selection each day. Alcholic drinks were available throughout the day but the bar area did not provide glass so all drinks were in recyclable cups which wasn't ideal for an evening when you wanted a glass of wine. The facilities were very good and had a good selection of pools and splash area. Overall we had a lovely holiday, however certain areas could be improved to make it better.
Our return trip after a first visit last year. The reason for our return was the high quality entertainment and we were not disapppinted. The range of activities is great, we loved aqua gym, pool party, magic carpet, darts, water basket, water polo. The kids disco was great and not too repetitive with same songs evey night like other places we have been. The Greatest Showman was brilliant and my son loved the kids being on stage dancing at the end....a real party atnosphere. The thing that really stands out though is the manner of the entertainment staff; they interact with guests with warmth, sincerity and kindness and this is led by Juan Carlos who models these values everyday. Antonio, Luon and Giulio were exceptional at the afternoon dance activites and went above and beyond to include my son, who absolutely loved the sessions. We had a LOT of fun playing some of the water sports and darts with Ivan and we LOVED Aitor's dance moves at the pool dance and aqua gym. The food standard was lower than last year but there was still enough options fot us, albeit not too hot, as others have said. The hotel is very clean and tidy and well maintained. We didnt mind the token system for drinks. The life guards are brilliant and have a good balance for safety vigilance and also fun and smiles with guests. We all loved the pools and especially the slides. Location is perfect with a 3 minute walk to the beautiful beach and we enjoyed kayaking along the coves. We were very very sad to leave and will definately be back! Thank you to the entertainment team for creating such happy memories!
Our 2nd stay at Sol Falcó and it didn’t disappoint. The location of the hotel with its proximity to 2 beach’s is amazing, The food is really good with lots of choice and always fresh with great kids selection. All the staff are warm and friendly and can’t do enough to make your stay as nice as possible. We made great friends with most of the entertainment team and they were amazing with our 9 year old boy going out of their way to put extra games on they knew he enjoyed etc. Special mention to Juan Carlos, Antonio, Aitor and Ivan who we knew from the previous year and Giulio and Loan who are a superb addition to the team, both really fun and positive with the children. We will definitely return next year!!
Large complex, everywhere really well maintained. Rooms were OK - although air conditioning not working for first three days we were here. Pools are good, larger pool great for kids. Staff are lovely. Unfortunately the poor reviews for the food & bar were correct. Food was poor choices, repetitive & lukewarm Only having one bar for such a large complex was ridiculous - long lines at busy time. Long walk from accommodation to get a drink during the day. We had a room next to one of the smaller pools - would have been really good to have had a small bar nearby. It does seem that only having one bar is a way to stop.guests going for drinks. Wouldn’t recommend hotel unfortunately.
First 3 days the food was cold, complained 4 times before any improvement, No reserving sun bed was a joke,by 7am every bed was occupied with towels, the bar queue was erroneous with only one bar, drinks token that you get a drink then they give you your token back after returning your recycled cardboard cup. On the positive side the staff were all friendly and polite, the hotel was clean. This is not a 4 star hotel and we will not be returning.
Having read reviews and prior research.. all my concerns were put to bed within the first hour of arriving. The hotel is beautiful, clean and has a lovely chill family vibe. My 3 year old has loved the pools, the discos and great evening entertainment. So far the food has been spot on, better than we could have hoped! Gorgeous nearby beach, we hired a car as we love to explore but are finding everything we need right here!
Recently back from a week stay at Sol Falco with our nearly 5 year old girl. Hotel facilities and cleanliness could not fault and made for a relaxing and comfortable stay. First few days the pools were freezing but became bearable as the week heated up weather wise. Great slides for the kids - a choice of x3 which dispatch you into a very deep pool so as many reviews have poi ted out, ensure your little ones have a floaty vest! Kids mini disco every night followed by different entertainment each night, which was pretty good. Food in general was at best average, so dont expect too much in this department, the offering could certainly be kept warmer! No issues with service, apart from large que building up at the only bar that was open. As for the resort, found it lovely with a smaller but very pleasant beach located only a few minutes walk to the rear of the hotel. Harbour is nice and only a ten minute walk max with a decent selection of bars ect. Larger beach next to harbour with crystal clear water. In all honesty i would recommend this resort and hotel for any families, but deginately room for improvement in the food.
The location is OK, not bad. 1 week is suffice, enough time to see everything around. Plenty of shops around the hotel within easy enough walk. We paid more for a better room due to it being our first holiday with our 1 year old. The "XTRA Room Solarium", let me tell you now save your money and don't be tempted by this room 🤣. The standard room isn't far off the same size, the only difference being you get a better space on the balcony. I would give the cleaners the credit for doing a good job cleaning our room, and I'd say you notice the entertainment room ( the main part of the building) being cleaned well in the morning. Other than that i'd say the rest of the cleanliness is again, OK. NOW THE BEST BITS. The hotel advertised 2 bars at this hotel. There is 1 drinks bar and 1 snack bar. So just understand that there is 1 bar to serve the whole hotel. And because we had the pleasure of living through covid, everyone queues like they did during covid times. The queue today backed up right up to the reception (another part of the building 🤣) Let's talk more about the bar... You get 1 token pp when you arrive, these tokens are used to get your beer or drinks at the bar. Once used, your cup then becomes the token. You cannot have another drink (unless you buy one) until you return the cup to the bar. However, you have to covid queue again sometimes depends who's on the bar, to swap your cup back into a token, or you just take your cups to your rooms. Absolutely brilliant idea to keep the pool side clean, and no cups lying around everywhere. But that means there are no cleaning done around the pool. So yes there isn't cups around but, there are food, wrappers and other rubbish. I think that the tokens is a way for the hotel to cut costs on cleaners throughout the day around the pool, and recycling ♻️ There's a few pools on site, all of which are FREEEZING! And VERY DEEP. Pack a rubber dingy for the kids and you, and arm bands. You won't touch the floor never alone the kids. The slides and splash bit is very very basic. Nothing to exciting. If you're in the middle of packing your suitcases, make sure you pack a microwave with you. All the food is cold 🥶 . I'M BUZZING FOR WARM FOOD! 🤣 A few people including me have had a day in bed because of the food. (Seems to be a 24hrs thing and you'll be ok) Noise is calm in some areas, and the main pool is obviously busy. The good thing is there are many swimming pools dotted around the hotel and hey tend to be nice and calm. Put it this way. I won't be coming back here. 💯
Week away with me and my 4 year old daughter. Be warned menorca airport is busy for queues with the new system of finger prints and if you have kids you have to queue to go through passport control anyways. The hotel is decent enough especially for young families. Felt the cocktails were watered down with ice. Food became very samey and felt the Choices weren’t great. Room was always kept spotless and we were close to all the main stuff right by the kids pools as someone has mentioned the pools are very deep at 1.9m and 2.3m take a float or armbands for little ones. Didn’t really do many excursions but talking to other guests the bars around the marina were pricey at €12 euros a cocktail !!!. Games rooms wasn’t that great either my little one did love the park tho. Also have a kids mini disco every night which was good.
We recently stayed at Sol Falco in Menorca as a family with our 4-year-old. Overall, we did enjoy our holiday, but there were definitely some areas that could be improved. The location of the hotel is excellent. There are plenty of souvenir shops within walking distance, a beautiful beach directly behind the hotel, and a marina nearby with lots of restaurants and bars. Personally, the marina wasn’t really my favourite as it felt very touristy and the restaurants weren’t amazing, but it was still convenient to have nearby. The hotel itself is very clean and visually lovely. The decor has a modern boho feel and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned daily and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was pleasant. The main downside for us was definitely the food. We booked half board but ended up barely eating lunch or dinner there because we really struggled with the quality and selection. I’m honestly not a particularly fussy eater, but I found most of it quite inedible. Breakfast was okay on the days they served pancakes, especially with Nutella, but these were only available every other day. There also wasn’t a great fruit selection, which is usually my backup option when I’m not enjoying the main food choices. Another issue was the drinks setup in the restaurant — no tea or coffee was available at lunch or dinner, and one morning only one coffee machine was working out of several. There was also no proper breakfast tea available at all, which as an English person was disappointing! The rooms themselves were nice, however we paid extra for a pool view and were placed quite far from the main splash pool and main facilities, which was disappointing as that was the area we specifically wanted due to travelling with a young child. The pool view we did get was lovely and quiet, but not really what we expected. Another issue was that there are no lifts. We were on the third floor and carrying our sleeping child in the pram up three flights of stairs every evening was really difficult. One of my biggest frustrations was the lack of a kettle in the room. You have to pay an extra €3 per day just to hire one, and then provide your own tea bags. For many British guests, having a tea first thing in the morning is a basic comfort, so this felt unnecessary. We also found the drinks very overpriced considering they were all served in plastic cups. We were not all inclusive, so we paid full price for everything — around €6 for a Baileys coffee, €6 for a beer, and roughly €10 for a rum and coke. I understand the use of reusable cups around pools, but being served every drink, including wine, in plastic cups throughout the entire holiday really took away from the experience for me. Another major issue was the sunbed situation around the splash pool. Breakfast starts at 8am, and even when we arrived between 8 and 8:30am, every single lounger was already covered with towels despite many staying empty until the afternoon. We regularly had to drag loungers from elsewhere just to sit near the children’s splash area with our son. For families with young children, this was incredibly frustrating. The splash park itself is brilliant, but the pool at the bottom of the slides is surprisingly deep, as are most of the other pools. Overall, Sol Falco is a clean, attractive hotel in a fantastic location with lovely staff and great facilities for children. However, the food quality, lack of basic room amenities, plastic cup policy, and ongoing sunbed issues would make us think carefully before returning.
How do you start a review like the..... By being honest. Our room was dirty and full of ants, hotel reception did help by providing an aerosol ant killer, not great for a 17 month old baby boy. The aircon did not work and could do with a heppa filter change, it smells. The baby bed was dirty, our son slept with us in the big bed every night. Twice we had to ask for our room to be serviced and then ask them to come back to empty the bins. The food is terrible, always cold, bland, and boring. The restaurant is clean due to amazing staff. The bar works on a token system, for your token you get a poor substitute alcoholic beverage in a dirty plastic cup. One bar in a complex this size is a joke, consider using the games room next to the pool as a sports bar. The main meeting/bar area is like a scene out of 60's, old tired wicker furniture cramped together, god know how you could fill every seat. Entertainment is shockingly bad this is where good entertainment acts come to die. The animation team work hard, but need lots more practice! This hotel is not geared up for the UK tourist. Im looking forward to going home.
So firstly, book a room with sun loungers as the rooms in mansion are tiny with dark balcony as shown in the photo. Air con didn’t work. You are given 1 token each to get a beaker to drink from so be prepared to queue even to return your beaker. 3 euro a day to hire a kettle with no cups so if you like a brew you need to bring a mug and spoon with you!! Arrive in the restaurant early as the basics run out very quickly, hot drinks, milk etc not refilled. Food average, we were only here for 5 nights thankfully. Definitely not enough staff to refill hand wash in toilets etc and mid way through each meal the restaurant was carnage as tables are not cleaned. Kids splash area opens at 10.30 and the water is freezing. Beware that the pool next to the splash is over 7 feet deep. This isn’t a 4 star hotel so don’t expect anything special. They have a kids play room which is pretty much toyless!! Overall I personally wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Expensive with Jet2. Not worth the money.
BEST HOLIDAY EVER All of the staff are incredible, the entertainment was incredible, the food was amazing, the rooms were amazing and air conditioned and amazing. Everything was incredible. Warning though, the main pools are very very deep so be careful if you have little ones. The smaller pools around the resort are perfect depth though!
We rented a car from sol to be delivered to our hotel the minura in Cala Galdena Menorca, They were on time the car was clean and the driver who delivered it was very nice, Paperwork took a few seconds and he showed us to the car and that was it , we had a wonderful time driving all over Menorca. We fueled up full tank and left it on the car park across from the hotel to be collected. So thanks to Sol Car hire we wouldnt hesitate to use you again next time we are in that area. Mary & Simon from England.
This was our second trip to Sol Falco . We loved it so much in 2023 we came back this year . It was just as good . Improvements have been made to the decor etc . One of the main reasons we came back to this hotel was due to the lovely staff , from reception to cleaners and animation team. We were very pleased upon arrival when we realised it was the same staff throughout . Anna on reception was immaculate , friendly and helpful . I would actually like to personally contact her if management see this . You can tell her my names Jack from uk and I came with my family at the start of October . My email is jackspark90@outlook.com if she wants to email . Just to thank her . The food and atmosphere was slightly different this time of year as we came in June last time . It was just as good and we were happy . Our little boy loved the slides , the pool, the table tennis etc . Rooms were cleaned and fresh towels everyday . This hotel is a genuine clean and lovely place to create memories with your family
I will start my review by explaining I had worked on the island over twenty years ago as a holiday rep for a large but now defunct UK holiday company for two summer seasons. For this reason I have always had a fondness for the island and have returned a few times since, but my most recent visit was my first proper holiday there in a considerable time. Whenever I have visited in the past I have chosen Cala'en Bosch because it is perhaps the resort with the most amenities and choice on the island. I booked a week's holiday at Sol Falco since it was actually a really good deal. Originally I was going to take the half board option as it was similar in price to self catering for the same dates, then I saw it was only only £20 a day more for all-inclusive, so it seemed a no brainer even if we were out exploring during the and ate lunch elsewhere, then we would still have our evening drinks included. We arrived via coach transfer in the early afternoon of the 27th of September. Our transfer did have a number of stop off's but that isn't a reflection on the hotel. We were checked in, given two card keys to our room, an all-inclusive band and two cup tokens as well as a map to our room. Being a couple in a family complex, I had emailed in advance to ask if they could allocate us a room in a quiet area or by an adult pool if they had one. The room they allocated was on the first (middle) floor of the Hacienda block just outside of the main block and did have a view of the small pool and even a little bit of sea in the distance. The room was very simple. Two single beds, a sideboard with mini fridge, fold out chair/bed and a side table. The balcony wasn't very deep, but was the full width of the room and had a table and two chairs. The patio door lock was a little tricky but we got used to it. The black-out curtains in our room didn't quite meet in the middle but the sheer curtain did, so the light still woke us in the morning. The wardrobes were large, with a few hangers, but I bring my own as back-up. Instead of doors, your clothes are hidden behind a curtain. The bathroom had a narrow glass partitioned shower cubicle with hand-held shower or rainfall function. The floor in the shower cubicle had no grip at all, it was flat slippery plastic and you really had to be careful. We had a sink/vanity with plenty of storage beneath and a toilet. Plenty of toilet paper provide. The hotel do have pump action bottles of shower gel and shampoo if you want to save space in your luggage. The maid tidied round and replenished what might have been required, but one morning she knocked at 08:45 which I thought was too early, and when I say knocked, that's all she does, you don't get chance to even reply, she knocks and then she's in the room. So it does pay to use the do not disturb sign, but I didn't think I would be disturbed at that time. The room had good air-conditioning and the do not disturb/clean my room sign was inserted in the slot meaning it was on when we returned to our room without the need for leaving a key. There is one large buffet/dining hall for all guests to use, off from that was a hacienda style semi-open air patio with water feature. We ate all of our meals there, as the main dining room was large and the noise travelled. I managed to eat three meals a day, there was always something, it wasn't amazing, but it was ok. I liked that it wasn't all burgers, pizzas and nuggets, there was a variety and there was always meat or fish being cooked directly from grill to plate. You could help yourself to water on tap or the fruit juice machine even when it wasn't a breakfast service. I tried a number of soups as there were always two options at lunch or dinner, and I did find them to be bland and tasteless, as was the butter margarine that I would spread on the bread rolls - it was like a waxy nothingness. If you were all inclusive you could get wine and beer from a small bar at the end of the buffet near the desserts. There was also a self service soft-serve ice cream machine. There is one central bar that serves the whole hotel daytime (including as a pool bar) and night up until around 10:30pm when the evening entertainment finished. There are usually only two bar staff serving at any one time and another staff member running about getting stock. There wasn't really a defined queue, so it was pot-luck how quickly you were served. I will say though this hotel needs a specific coffee bar. All coffee is freshly made and it isn't time efficient to have two bar staff making cups of coffee whilst the queue is growing larger. A separate coffee bar away from the main bar for hot drinks would in theory reduce the queue and also time stood when queuing. The all-inclusive drink system works on a token system. You are issued with one each. You take the token to the bar, request your drink, you are given your drink (in glass in the restaurant), in a plastic tumbler in just about any other instance. You return glass/tumbler for your next drink or your token to be returned, simple way of reducing wasteful plastic. However it's a bit sad that you end up drinking beer, mixed-spirits, wine or cocktails all out of this rather child-like plastic tumbler. There is a snack bar behind the main bar where all-inclusive guests could help themselves to sweets, crisps, burgers, hot dogs, nuggets and chips. Very often these were sat out for a long time and were dry and inedible. The hotel has a massive family pool with some small water slides and a tipping bucket. There are daily activities for both adults and kids. There is a swimming pool for lengths as well as smaller/quieter pools in outlying accomodations blocks, it's a really large complex. Something that I did notice about the complex was the number of access points from outside, meaning kids could literally walk out of the hotel or someone could come in very easily. It's not particularly secure. You can walk straight from the family pool area out to the road bypassing reception very easily, so if you have wandering kids, you'd have to be very vigilant. There was a gate in front of our block that leads down a path to the Son Xoriguer beach in five minutes. This gate could be opened by anyone from 7 years of age, it wasn't locked. I can't say that I really noticed much in regards to security. I think a complex of this nature, attracting large numbers of families would be set up more securely, with all access being limited to a central point. On the note of families being the bread and butter of the hotel, I expected to see many families during our visit, that isn't an issue for us, but I did see questionable parenting practices, that isn't an issue the hotel can be held to account. To give some context to this, I saw numerous people who thought it was appropriate to face-time their friends and families on speaker phone from their table whilst eating their meals, paying no attention to their kids who were usually propped in front of an ipad. I have no place telling anyone how to bring up their kid, that's their business, but having the most inane and vapid self-indulgent non-conversation at volume whilst others are just trying to have a pleasant meal says a lot about the kind of clientele that gravitate here. Had this been a one off, I probably wouldn't even have mentioned it, but I really got tired of seeing people do this at the table or walk around the hotel with with their phones not to their ear but on speakerphone at arms length conducting their private business in public. I didn't see any of the well-mannered Spanish or French doing this, it was actually embarrassing. Paying all this money and you can't just be in the moment and enjoy your surroundings. Other than that, the hotel manage to cater to those who want a one-stop shop of everything on-site for all their needs and who might never actually see anything of Menorca. Having lived and worked there, I did hire a car and got out to check out more of the island, which I recommend anyone to do, it's a stunning place. If you can't do that, there are buses regularly into Ciutadella for a change of scene or the lovely little marina where you will find the central resort amenities of Cala'en Bosch, it's around a twelve minute walk. At night the hotel do put on a show, I saw two. The Mongolian dance troupe/acrobats and also a magic show, both of these were impressive, but basically it's 45 minutes and then it closes. On the Tuesday after our third night of our stay, I received news of a family emergency at home, so we had to cut short the trip there and then, it was a shame as apart from some of the negative points about the bar/token system and some of our fellow countrymen, the hotel was growing on me. I never even made it into any of the pools. In summary, I would recommend this on a bed and breakfast or half board basis, all-inclusive could be good value if you are a budget-minded family but as a couple I really wouldn't. At its heart this hotel is really geared up for families, it's not dreadful if you are a couple or a group of friends, so don't rule it out if you get a good deal, but I think there are other options in the area that may suit better
Hospitality was good, staff were nice and accommodating. Hot food options were not great. Flavourless, stale, overcooked and just really not a 4* standard. Drinks were good atleast to make up for the food. People in the entertainment were great and hospitable, so kudos to them. Overall a decent experience, but would probably not hurry to go back
First of all, in my opinion, this is not a four star hotel with only one bar for the amount of people is crazy I know it’s a family hotel some days the Restaurant look like a poor café the food was always cold when asked about this they said the guests like it like that but not the British would never go back to this hotel , our room was short of some maintenance. The one thing about this hotel that was good was the staff.
Très bel endroit, bien situé, buffet varié et bon, et tout le personnel est très gentil !
Les lits pas très confortables…
Here now.First few days ok. However have noticed some of the food stations shut now.less choice. Meats chewy at times. Some undercooked. Same dishes reused time and again. No plain yoghurt for breakfast last two days..no eggs this morning .only cold omelette. Hard sausages...Seems standards slipping by day. Shame as pool is nice and staff nice. Room is good too. Just the food a bit disappointing as time goes on.
We’re here at the moment and must say I’m really disappointed. The food is not the best always cold and most of the meat is undercooked. Rooms are ok What shocked us most was watching the cleaners mopping the floors in the bar/ restaurant area and putting the dirty water into the fountain which is in the middle of the outdoor seating area of the restaurant 🤮🤮 Usually have 3 holidays a year and must say this is one for near the bottom of the list. I do take most reviews with a pinch of salt but definitely wouldn’t recommend this one.
This was a return trip to the Sol Falco for us, though it was 2015 last time we were here. The hotel's obviously had a refresh in the intervening years, but basically it's the same, though the Flintstones theme has gone, no bad thing to be honest. Same goes for the resort, I didn't see any big developments, which is in perfect keeping with Menorca's reputation as the more quiet, tranquil and authentic Balearic holiday destination. We travelled with Jet2 who offered the option of a ground floor family room with its own small patio, sunbeds, table and chairs. We also emailed the hotel separately to request a room that got the sun in the afternoon. This is exactly what we got, so full marks for that. The hotel is made up of separate blocks, three stories high, but no lifts, so be sure to specify your requirements if you have any mobility issues. The room was fresh, no problems with the fixtures and fittings. There was a fridge and a safe (€18/week for the safe), no kettle or tea coffee making stuff, but you could hire a kettle for €18/week (We brought our own travel kettle and coffee). We used the fridge to store soft drinks and water that we'd bought from the local shop, just being lazy as the 300m round trip to the bar from our patio made the small extra expense worthwhile. The room was generally very clean but the loo could've done with a loo brush running around under the rim to make it spotless, and the top of the shower head would benefit from a wipe down, though I liked the big walk-in shower. The beds were two singles pushed together, I prefer a double, but slept fine anyway. There was a TV that had several English language news channels. As we travelled after the schools had gone back most of the hotel guests were older couples (like us) and families with pre-school age children and babies. This was a good mix and again fitted the laid back vibe of the hotel. We tended to lounge around by our room but there seemed to be plenty of spare sunbeds around the pools at any time of the day. As some others have noted the pools are around 1.7m to over 2m deep, lifeguards were present, but just be aware. We only went in the oblong pool at the rear of the hotel, at around 25m long and 1.7m deep (I'm 5' 11'' and could touch the bottom OK) it was great for getting a few lengths in, although we were probably in the minority as most of the time we had the whole pool to ourselves, which was great. The hotel was popular with Spanish guests from the mainland, who maybe outnumbered the Brits, I also heard a lot of French spoken, but obviously no problem getting by in English around the hotel and the resort. From experience I'd put the quality and variety of food in the top third of hotels we've visited. Always good meat/fish options, I had no problem filling my plate, only thing I missed was something like a wholemeal French bread at breakfast, but think that's just a regional thing. Outside the hotel we enjoyed a walk down to the marina and a wander around the shops and bars that surround it. It's not massive, but there's all the essentials down there, once you've done a lap you will have seen almost everything that Cala'n Bosch has to offer as most of the surrounding areas are residential. A round trip from the hotel is about 2km, just right for an after dinner walk. There's a lighthouse on the south western tip of the Island about 1km further on which marks a popular spot for watching the sun setting over Mallorca. If you're an early riser then just a short walk out of the rear of the hotel you can also catch the sunrise viewed from the Cami de Cavalls trail on the small headland between Cala'n Bosch's two beaches. The Cami de Cavalls trail goes around the Island and the path to the East and North of Cala'n Bosch offers several kilometres of uninterupted rugged coastline, appropriate footwear required if you want to venture along these paths though. We walked to Cala Blanca, the next resort heading North along the West coast, this was a 19km round trip, a good half day walk to stretch your legs. Can't comment on the evening entertainment as we generally went out after dinner, also we did not spend any time down at the local beaches, but overall we enjoyed our week here and would have no problem returning at some time in the future.
Friendly welcoming and helpful that applies to all the staff, from the reception desk to the gardeners. We had requested a ground floor sol room, more than happy with room provided and even had a shower chair and supports in the bathroom area. Room was cleaned everyday by excellent team of cleaners. Eating and drinking is definitely value for money, plenty of each available. The restaurant is spacious and lots of seating for the bar area. Clean and well looked after pools. Loads to do the entertainment team will get you involved or leave you in peace if you wanted to just chill and watch. Beach is very close down a avenue of palm trees .
Second year in a row staying at this hotel. We just love it. Cannot fault it. Nice and clean, great friendly staff and perfect location. I emailed to ask for a room where we were located last year as was the perfect location. We were given the room next door, which was ideal. No doubt be booking again for next year.
This hotel was booked through Tui as an all inclusive holiday, the three of us all had our own rooms next to each other in the Rancho Block this is the closest block to the beach, we were hoping for a sea view but sadly this was not to be as we had trees outside our balcony meaning no view at all. That said there were many trees around the hotel so many room had no views. the rooms were a nice size, clean and modern, fridge and an excellent shower, the room was serviced everyday. This is quite a large complex spread out over a large area, but as it is only a maximum of three stories high it does not feel large. The restaurant is large as it need to cater for lots of people, on our first few days here we never had any trouble finding a table and there was always plenty of food, but later into the week it became a lot busier and finding a table was not so easy and food would run out, there is space to sit outside by one of the pools in the BBQ area or a courtyard within the restaurant. The choice of food was vast for meat eaters and vegetarians, there was all the usual chips and pizzas but there was always fresh meat and fish , ( my favorite was the pork cheek in red wine sauce and the lamb shank), this was so tender it just fell of the bone, quite amazing when they cook such huge quantities of food they can do this so well. Fresh fruit was there but you had to be careful what you chose as some of it was hard and unripe. For a hotel this size and the amount of food to cater for so many people, it was really good, my only real complaint is some of it could be cold, but there is a couple of microwaves available to pop your food in and give it a warm up if you want to. Evening entertainment was the usual kids club stuff, which we gave a wide berth to, but there was always a show after that for the families, which was always outside entertainers not the hotel staff. Bar staff are all quite friendly and a shout out goes to Gabriel, really friendly and chatty even to us Brits. There are seven pools around this hotel the large main pool with the slides, one note of caution to the main pool two out of the three sections are deep water both nearly 7 feet deep, so small children have to be supervised, there are lifeguards but they tend to concentrate on the slides, a large rectangular pool just around the corner to the main pool, the rest are dotted around the complex they are much quieter and relaxed if you want to just chill. Not so easy to get a sunbed around these though as the towels seem to appear about 7am. The entertainment staff around the main pool were always busy and of course very up beat, another shout out to Nadia and Ivan. Your energy was just incredible. I really liked this hotel, I thought the token system for the cups for your drinks worked really well, no cups being left all around the pool area, kept it nice and tidy. Did we enjoy this hotel? Yes would we recommend this hotel? Yes Would we stay again ? Yes
I’m not sure why people complain about the token system. It’s simple- you are given a token per person, you hand them in you get drinks all day if you want. When you’re done you simply tell them, they give you back the tokens and you do the same the next day. It’s clearly to stop people leaving rubbish all over by using reusable cups! It in no way affects the all inclusive experience. The staff are lovely, really get involved with guests but don’t pester if you say no thank you. Rooms, clean, good facilities. Beds made and floors mopped daily. Pool is looked after, fun for everyone and very clean. Food is varied and there will be plenty for you to eat. Great transport links with a bus stop outside the hotel. Marina is less than a 10 minute walk away. All in all a great hotel. Lovely experience and already looking at coming back next year.
Great hotel, so many things to do! Kids club was great, adult entertainment also great (didn't always run what they advertised) but still did some good stuff. Clean hotel, wide variety of food and very tasty. Didn't even struggle with a toddler who is allergic to dairy, he ate really well. Good labels for allergens. Lots of pools, great splash park and 3 fun slides, only complaint is no slides for smaller kids as the pool is deep at the other side but my almost 2 year old did manage with his floats on. Rooms had everything that was needed. Not a huge amount to do in the surrounding area but it is right next to a bus stop with buses every 30 mins to a bigger town so we went there a couple of times. If you want a relaxing holiday with some hotel activities this place is for you.
Hotel was amazing! Staff wonderful. Cleanest hotel i have ever visited. Every inch was cleaned daily. Amenities were incredible, always something going on if you wanted it and if not there were quiet areas / pools away from the action. Food was better than most. Service at the bar was efficient super friendly. Entertainment was varied and good. Loved it! Coming back next September hopefully!
We have just returned from a week's holiday at Sol Falco and had a brilliant week. I want to start with my faults and my biggest one being the slides. The slides are accessed from the ankle depth splash park which is amazing for kids. There is noone manning the slides on the access end so nothing stopping toddlers accessing if eyes taken off them. We arrived and on our first day I took our 3 year old son in the splash park, he wanted to go down a slide. He can't swim and he's little so he went down on my knee. Maybe I should have checked but I assumed the pool on the other side would be shallow or at least be able to stand up. I think it was 1.9m I couldn't stand, I quickly realised it was going to be deep and lifted my son but we both went under. No lifeguard came to help or any on lookers for that matter. My husband was on the splash park side so he couldn't see us.nit was terrifying. A few parents said they had had similar experiences or something said they had seen the other side first so wouldn't let their children down. My mistake for not checking maybe and assuming but the alarming thing is if a child who can't swim is playing in the splash park and sees all the other children going down the slide they may think I'll go too and then they can't stand up or be seen. The slides aside, the food was great, entertainment was good and the beach and marina are in walkable distance which was lovely.
Tout !
Le buffet n’est pas le meilleur…
We’ve just returned from a great family holiday took 3 & 6 year old. Very clean, great food, huge complex so it didn’t feel overly busy, rooms and bathrooms are a good size, 10 mins walk to marina and 5 mins walk to beach. Tubs of Ice cream is included in the all inclusive but you do have to pay for ice lollies or branded ice creams. Drink tokens worked great as it meant the bar tables were kept tidy. We did find that there was more food my children would eat in the snack bar (beige food lovers) so they would have their tea early there and then have pudding when we ate in the restaurant later in the evening. Only downside we found was entertainment was too late in an evening and could do with one pool with a shallow end as all the pools are very deep not a problem for our 6 year old but our youngest wasn’t keen he stuck to the splash park or the small pool next to the splash park. Would return again the kids loved it. Our transfer from hotel took about 1.5 hours as we were last drop off but on way to airport it took around 1 hour. There is a bar round the corner that has a bouncy castle, trampolines for the kids we liked going there before going out for tea.
I was genuinely concerned before we arrived, having read a few negative reviews. I now wonder what on earth people expect for the money! We cannot fault Sol Falco, it was a brilliant, family friendly resort. The staff were incredible, so helpful, assisting us with room changes and acquiring a wheelchair to support with my mother in law. The evening entertainment was great and kids club was excellent! I was really worried about the food but didn’t need to be. Yes, it was fairly basic but I genuinely don’t know what people expect from a 4* buffet. There was fresh salad, fresh pasta and grilled meat/fish options every night. The snack bar may have been samey but after such a huge choice at the 3 meal times snacks weren’t necessary anyway. The token system for drinks meant that there are no cups littered around and the resort stayed clean and tidy, I didn’t see it being a major issue having to walk over to the bar to swap tokens for drinks and vice versa. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back.
C’était propre et calme.
Le snack bar pas top, j’aurais aimé qu’il propose des croques monsieur, des frites et pour l’après midi des glaces.
Great week stay in July 2025. Clean hotel, good amount of slides and swimming pools. Excellent entertainment for kids & in the evenings. Always lots going on. Food was average for an all inclusive wouldn’t expect any different. This hotel was AMAZING for my son who has multiple severe allergies. Spoke to the chef and they made fresh meal for him every time as we couldn’t risk cross contamination from the counters. All in all a great week away! Thank you
This place was lovely and clean, great food, beautiful gardens. polite staff. great location. Rooms where bright and airy. The only problem was the 3pm check in. So if you have a early morning flight you cant get into your room till after 3pm. New one on us... never heard of this and not great if you have little ones. Also the slides. We had a 3yrs old with us. The pools that theses slides go into are not toddler friendly !!! Great outside eating area and inside was very noisy. and too busy. The small pools dotted here and there are great ! Tho you will find idiots putting there towels down and not coming back for 4 / 5 hour's. A lot of French and Italians so do not queue as these people do not know the meaning of this ! Sorry !
Rooms - Request a quiet room if you’ve young children. Pool noise otherwise for naps will be loud. - Request a ground floor if you’ve a pram as there’s no lifts. - When leaving things on the balcony to dry (there’s no clothes line), be mindful of people flicking ash from above as for 2 days my items were full of ash. FOOD. - You will not go hungry! Really good food. - Dinner is not until 19:30. We have a 1yo who goes to sleep at 7, so we had to play around with this. - There’s a snack bar between meal servings. The food was mainly “freezer food” and was quite cold unless you got a fresh serve. There’s always bread items / deli items out all day for the all inclusive guests. - Decent breakfast. - Very good lunch. - Some themed meals in the week (Mexican / Oriental). - Meals times 7:30-10:30 / 1-3 / 7:30-10:30 DRINKS. - Token system. Token for a drink / glass return to get your token back. You can get cocktails with the all inclusive also. Entertainment - This is in Spanish & Italian. - It is dated and a little cringe but nice and happy staff giving it their all. - The mini disco isn’t until 8:45pm - so a very late start with small children. Other. - No sunbed saving stated but harder to find a bed after breakfast. People would save a bed all day and not use them until late in the afternoon - doesn’t seem fair. - Dated indoor entertainment area. - Kids area next to the restaurant only had 3 baby toys in it. There’s an adult and a kid sized door that that kids open and shut - be cautious of little fingers getting stuck. - No bath / shower only (my baby doesn’t like the shower). - Very clean resort. - Super family friendly. - Friendly staff in the restaurant / around the pool. - Deep swimming pools. - Myself and another family got stung by a wasp around the pool area - no staff were able to assist with my sting. I was told to go to the lifeguard by 2 lots of staff but they don’t start their shift until the pool opens at 10am.
Best family holiday! We have been on holiday many times but this holiday was the best by far! The food was amazing. The entertainers really went above and beyond and their effort was exceptional especially on the 2 night they did their own show- very talented. The receptionists, the maids, the bar staff, the people working in the restaurant were all very polite and always smiled. Was even allowed inflatables in the pool!
Our first time staying at sol falco and a very enjoyable stay it was. Hotel very clean and rooms pretty much cleaned/new towels every day. Restaurant definitely worth 4* as food was fantastic with lots of choices. Splash park was great for all ages and other pools around the hotel grounds. Token system for drinks was abit of a hassle at times but got on with it. Entertainment day and night was very good for all to get involved. Hotel a short walk to two very beautiful beaches with shallow waters with great views. Marina 5-10 minute walk with plenty of restaurants to eat out.. Quiet area but that didn't bother us. We would definitely stay again at the sol falco in the future. 👍
I went to Sal Falco with my family at the end of June 2025 into July. Overall it wasn’t bad but there was a number of things which caused frustration. The positive things were the food was nice, good variety and there was plenty of it, there was always room somewhere in the restaurant. The snack bar at lunch was also nice and always stocked. The kids also loved the pool (I’ll come back to this) and the room was acceptable and clean with good air con. The grounds are lovely and green with lots of flowers. The staff clearly work hard and care about the guests to service them and keep the complex clean. Things which we found frustrating are below: 1) the water which comes out of the taps in the restaurant tasted like pool water, if it’s treated or filtered I’m not sure, but it wasn’t nice. This is also the only water available so we had to buy big bottles from a nearby shop. 2) the token system for your drinks is a good green idea but annoying. You exchange the token for a plastic cup which almost becomes your new child for the week, as you have to look after the cup and exchange back for your token when you don’t want another drink. It’s just another thing to remember and not ideal. 3) if you have children who can’t swim, beware the slides are entered from the kids pool which is shallow for toddlers, but the steps lead directly to the slides…which end in the deep end of the adults pool. Bad design here so be careful. There are lifeguards but I didn’t always see one on duty. 4) don’t wear anything white in the pool, it will turn yellow. Sun cream perhaps or pool chemicals. Not sure. 5) we had to move room due to noise from another room next to us, the walls are paper thin. 6) the entertainment wasn’t great, most of it was in Spanish meaning anyone else couldn’t really follow what was going on. 7) There is only one bar for the whole complex. If you choose to spend the day at a pool which isn’t the main pool and you want a drink, you will have to walk to the bar which will take some time. The bar also gets busy with only a small number of staff. Like I said, overall it was good but i wouldn’t say I was completely relaxed for the reasons above.
I have just returned from a weeks stay at The Sol Falco. Before I write what didn’t go so well, I think it’s only fair to write the positives. The hotel is clean and tidy the grounds are beautiful with lots of greenery. The only restaurant in the hotel is buffet style with a variety of options, the hotel staff are very friendly. Our first room before we moved was clean, we were sharing with our two daughters (13&5) however, I wasn’t prepared to pay an extra 500€ to upgrade. We were initially put in a connecting room with next door’s family having a young child, which woke us all up all hours of the night, we were subsequently moved after day 2, second room was a lot better and quieter as there was no connecting door. Whilst I understand families with young children are placed on the ground floor, I fail to understand how placing to unknown families in a connecting room is acceptable - they won’t want to hear us as we certainly don’t want to hear them and their screaming children, this was not an enjoyable start to the holiday. There’s filtered water around the hotel however this tasted awful and very chlorine like so we just bought bottled water from the store a short distance from the hotel. I personally feel the alcoholic drinks are watered down, I can’t comment on the premium drinks but certainly the non branded. Drinks are placed in plastic cups including wine.. expect at dinner where you can have a glass. I know people complain about the token system however I understand the concept and wasn’t the biggest issue. If you want to secure a sunbed make sure to get up early otherwise you’ll luck out. A lot of the entertainment and animation was in Spanish so we felt excluded from that - we did spend a few evening away from the hotel and went to the marina which has lots of lovely restaurants and lovely views. The hotel is nice for the reasons mentioned above and the female receptionist did deal with our initial complaint very well however unfortunately this wasn’t the hotel for us.
I was a bit concerned about the mixed reviews but we went ahead and booked (myself, my sister and 4 older teens post GCSE/A levels) because the price was really good for all inclusive, compared to other places own the resort which were just B&B. It's a fraction of the price of a 5 star all inclusive with multiple restaurants, and I think that should be remembered when reviewing. For teenagers to have drinks and food whenever they wanted saved me a fortune! I'll try and summarise... - We had no problems getting sunbeds by the 'olympic' (25m) pool away from the kids area. the pool area was clean and tidy and beds comfy. - The entertainment programme was great and my teens loved getting involved with aqua fit, pool dance etc and watching the evening shows. It was a lot of fun without being too loud. - The token system for drinks was GREAT. It saves waste and stops people just going to the bar and ordering as many drinks as they like, then leaving cups lying round all over the place. You take your cup back, you get a fresh one with a new drink, simple. I don't understand why people complain about the system, and the bar at the buffet does serve drinks in proper glasses (serving glass by the pool would be dangerous). - Cleaner came every day and made the beds etc. We could change pool towels every 3 days but didn't bother as we could easily dry them on the balcony. It's so wasteful when hotels allow people to take as many pool towels as they like each day then just leave them lying around of someone else to clear away. Shower was strong and the AC worked well enough (and they don'r make it go off when you leave your room). - We paid for an 'extra' room so had access to the nicer wine and bottled water which was great. However, we were also very happy with the drinks option outside of that, and the bar was very efficient even though there was only one. We never waited for long. - Breakfast and lunch buffet gave us what we needed and the decor/furniture was really nice (lovely outside area at the back for brekkie). Considering the amount of children there, it was really tidy and staff were cleaning tables all the time. not a great queuing system and kids had their fingers in the sweets but that's an issue with the parents not the hotel. The lunchtime KFC style chicken was so good!! - We had already decided we didn't want to do buffet dinners so ate out at the marina and the few restaurants down at the beach. Given how good the price for the hotel was, we didn't mind doing this. The beach is a few mins walk and is absolutely gorgeous. The marina is quite buzzy and is only a 10 min walk. - The grounds were lovely and there were plenty of quiet places to be by a pool if desired. However, even the main bar area never felt over crowded and noisy - it was just the right level and actually I found all the families with toddlers etc were considerate and didn't allow children to be running around everywhere. There was a nice mix of older people too. All in all, we had a great time, we didn't expect top end luxury as we hadn't paid those prices and really enjoyed the experience (actually more than I have enjoyed a 5 star in the Caribbean!). If you support a place that doesn't want to be wasteful, doesn't want cups all over the place, and you don't expect a clean towel every 5 mins then you'll be very happy with how it works. My only one piece of feedback for the buffet - some hand sanitiser stations for when you have touched all the serving cutlery etc.
OK this is a beautiful looking hotel and the lay out is fantastic so many place's to eat and drink, we stayed at Rancho and had no problems with the room ,good size for the 2 of us and fridge but no kettle, cleaned ever day ,we had a small pool with sunbeds really nice. FOOD Great if you like your food pink, most not cooked properly, even the chief when asked for well done cooked gave the meat a extra 10 seconds, luckily one of them liked the same music as me and as if by magic I got the meat well done. Thre choices we amazing loads of meat every day yeah a bit repetitive but Carn complain, very nice omelets at breakfast, super choices of chilled drinks, lovely outside courtyard to eat. STAFF Brilliant apart from the bar staff, you went to the bar and queued then some of the Spanish guests went to the front and got seved, do they not have to que . Number of people in the que shouted out but no took notice, and slightly grumpy to us bits, I spoke with a number of people who commented on this . TOKENS Sorry but this not a good idea, when u arrive first check in you receive TOKENS depends on how many is in your party, when you go to the bar give the token over to the bar staff and you get two plastic cup's full of what u asked for, then if u carry on drinking repeat the process then when you don't want anymore drinks take your cup's back and u are given tokens back. Then in the day sat around the pool you need a drink travel to the bar no forgetting your tokens and get a drink when u have finished u have a choices do I take the cup's back and get your tokens or take the cup's back to the room and then take them out with you in the evening, what a load of rubbish, sorry to go on but this is a holiday. KIDS CLUB was really shocked after hearing some British guests complaining about sending their kid's to the club and they left because the entertainment team only spoke in Spanish, not good for kids from other nations as well. OVERALL Feel a bit annoyed because it's a really lovely looking hotel let down by a number of issues and this is not just me it was quite a few other British guests said the same.
We have just got back after a 10 night stay. The hotel is alot bigger than the photos show and is like a town. The hotel itself is lovely, nice refurbishment in all areas. The outdoor area is well kept. The staff in the only were all lovely apart from some of the reception staff which were abit grumpy. The cleaner who cleaned our room was really lovely and did an amazing job who cleans Aldea 204. Pool area Lots of pools to chose from, the issue is when we went the hotel was very full and literally never any spare sunbeds. We had an issue one day because alot of people use the hotel beach towels ( all the same towels) and some foreign people took ours and had an argument with me. The entertainment staff came over and tried blaming us and said "let's not get angry over a towel" after the foreign man snatched and shouted at me. Bar The token system is very annoying, we had to ask for more tokens from reception as we misplaced them. Then you get every single drink in a plastic cup (including wine) which I think some drinks should be in a nice glass. The cocktails were really lovely just a shame they weren't in a nice glass! Snack bar Poor choice of food for the British people alot of batter vegetables and leftovers from breakfast. Restaurant There is one restaurant in the hotel , lovely decor. The restaurant is extremely busy, there was lots of nationalities when we were there with no manors, everyone was all over the place pushing in for food, not lining up. The hardworking staff were run off their feet because it was that busy, not being able to clean the tables quick enough. Also not very good for people with allergens as lots of the food labels were from the meals before, also people putting food into over food and cross contaminating the food. There was a couple of themed nights, Mexican and Chinese food which were the best nights, others were very repetitive. We ate out a few of the nights as we got bored of the food. The deserts were very repetitive too. There is not much choice for children either unless it's pasta, chips or pizza. The breakfasts were nice, lots of food to chose from, the pastries were my favourite. Children's club This was the highlight, my daughter had a lovely time at the seeds children's club. The staff looked after her really well. They work really hard and need some praisement for that. Entertainment We went to the mini disco a few times while we were there which we really enjoyed. We never actually stayed up for the later entertainment as it was too late for my 1 and half year old but it looked good. Overall The hotel has lots of potential, I think there's just a few things they could work on. I think also it ruined it for us abit as I didn't realise how big the hotel was and how busy it would be. If we went and it was quieter it would've been a must better experience.
We booked this holiday as a family to celebrate a family birthday. We booked almost a year in advance so we were thoroughly looking forward to it. The hotel is rated as a 4 star, it is far from a 4 star and definitely missing a little luxury. The bedrooms are basic, very basic. They are clean. The pools are extremely deep and this is not clear when booking. All swimming pools are around 1.9m depth minus the splash park and kids small pool. Around the pool area is not well maintained and often litter blowing around. There are seagulls often swooping to get food they can grab. One of the days we were at the pool a little boy came out of the pool and was sick at the side. This wasn’t cleared immediately as you would expect, instead a few cones were placed around it. We complained later at reception as this had been sitting for some time. The food in the restaurant is repetitive, bland and boring. One of my daughters has dairy allergies. There are signs informing you to speak to staff of allergies. I communicated in English and little Spanish however, after asking 3 members of staff I left and had to speak to a jet 2 rep. The rep then helped source items. We are out a number of times during our 10 days as the food choice was so poor. The entertainment team at this hotel are a credit to the hotel, they are constant and full of energy! Unlike the hotel bar and reception staff who were often grumpy and unhelpful. This is the first hotel I have stayed in that uses a reusable cup return system. Great for around the pool. Not for sitting after dinner with a glass of wine in a plastic cup. I totally agree the reusable plastic glasses have a purpose during the day. But please, please for a 4 star resort, give people a glass to drink out of at night!!! 2 out of our 3 rooms constantly had issues where the keys would stop working, they would have to walk back to reception to get them sorted before returning back to their room. This happened on numerous occasions. They were constantly advised it was due to the card sitting on a phone, they made every effort to keep phones and keys separate and it still happened. We think this is a hotel issue, not our issue. The staff were always fast to point out it was our issue even when one person had the key and another had the phones. We had a great time on our holiday as we made the best of what was in front of us however, it could have been much better if the standards of the hotel and staff were improved.
Thankyou for the most amazing holiday we have been very impressed by your hotel amazing staff from check-in at reception to the staff in areas of the hotel .we where with our daughter and her 5 year old son Reggie I think that everyone in the hotel will know him as he tride to speak to them all in some cases they did not understand him .the food was very good always something for the pickle eaters and always plenty of fruit .the pools where very clean and tidy at all times the life guard s where definitely on the ball all the times saw several things that happen when people not watching there children it's command sense not to swim in pools where the slides come down into .and last of all I would like to sat the entertainment was spot on some realy good entertainment had by all the show the entertainment crew put on was very good indeed and the kids club was so good Reggie could not wait to get to it twice away he fell in love with all the female staff there and I would like to thank them all for there cear for Reggie while he was with them .thank you all for a wonderful holiday we will be back
Myself, partner and 3 year old son came to Sol FALCÓ beginning of June 2025 along with my parents for a week all inclusive. The holiday resort was beautiful and clean it really did exceed our expectations. Bar and waiting staff were efficient and the entertainment team really were excellent. They had a fabulous energy and were great with the children. They always seemed to be working so hard with a big smile on their faces. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable ( even the pull out bed ). Just be aware that the shower gets very slippy my son became nervous of showering as he almost fell. plenty of swimming pools to choose from and lots of chill areas throughout the hotel. Food was as you’d expect with an all inclusive you will always find something you like. Plenty of options for children! The only con I found was the snack bar which was open when the restaurant wasn’t, in the AM it was breakfast type items eggs ect which would go cold really quick and in the PM burgers, chips, pizzas which again were just cold. I would have liked more cold options with a snack bar such as sandwiches, bagels that kind of thing as you have plenty of hot options at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Evening entertainment was great, the one night they had a party on the terrace which was brilliant with live music, Saxophone player and acrobatic performances a really great atmosphere. Location of accommodation was great just a 10min walk to the harbour and a beautiful beach with plenty of shops in the surrounding area. I would definitely return to sol falco. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
I visited this hotel on June 6th for 7 nights with My partner, my two children (2.5 years and 7 months) and we stayed in a bottom floor family room. The room was basic but clean and maids changed towels and bedding most days. The hotel itself was spotless, the pools always clean and nice temperature. The food was not bad, however we found most of it lukewarm and regularly had to use the microwave in the restaurant to heat our meals before eating. Quite repetitive choices but it did the job. Entertainment was ok, but quite late considering it’s a family hotel. The reason for 3 stars is purely down to the air conditioning, (or lack of) and the attitude of some reception staff. We arrived late on a Friday night, realised the rooms air conditioning wasn’t working and decided to address in the morning. We went up the following morning and was told, it was broke and they were waiting for an engineer. 2 days later and multiple trips to reception we were told it was being turned on that day, apologies were made but we were just happy that we didn’t have to suffer with it being 26/27 degrees in our room, at night, with 2 small children really struggling to sleep in it. That night around 5pm an engineer came to our room, held his hand up to our vents and immediately left saying “I’ll come back” … he never returned. That night at 11pm my partner went to reception and said it was unbearable, which it was! 4 humans in a small room, no ventilation (our balcony area opened straight up to a deep pool and our front door was on a main walkway so there was no chance of us leaving doors open to try and get some fresh air) they promised that tomorrow there would be air con and offered us a new room if we wanted. 11pm was too late to be packing everything up and moving plus it made no sense if the air con in the building was broke? The next day we went to reception AGAIN (quite possibly the 10th/11th time asking for something to be done) and we were rudely told that on the terms and conditions it states that the air conditioning DOES NOT get turned on until June 15th and I should have booked a different hotel if I wasn’t happy. 🙃 We were again offered a new room, which confused me because if the air con wasn’t on, then how would we benefit from a new room?? Plus why were we told it was broke and being fixed? Anyway we were now 5 days into our stay and were leaving in 2 days. I asked reception if there was a fan we could have and was promised a fan would be located and would be waiting at reception for me in a few hours. That night I went to reception and lo and behold… no fan! No recollection of the conversation, and no help or concern for the conditions that my children were having to try and sleep in. On our last full day, we came back to the room at 10pm to a tall fan in our room and it helped ALOT!! It was just a shame we couldnt have had this given to us at the very beginning (we would have happily paid for one should we have been told the truth about the aircon from day one) when I asked why we weren’t offered one at the beginning I was told they only had 15 fans in the whole hotel and we had to wait like everyone else. No thought going out to the 100’s of guests in the hotel who have paid £1000’s to stay at this hotel, with small children, in a heatwave. We came home and checked our terms and conditions and in the very small print it stated the air con doesn’t go on until June 15th. In my opinion, as a family orientated hotel, this should be at the top, in bold writing, to make sure families can make the right decisions for their holiday knowing the full information. You shouldn’t have to trail through small print to find a pretty vital piece of information that could change your whole experience. We would have maybe gone a week later OR chose a different hotel if we had been made fully aware of this air con date! 2 of the female staff on reception were trying hard to be helpful however there was one male receptionist who quite frankly had zero empathy and was god damn rude. He acted like I was putting him out by asking for some answers after being lied to for the whole week about the air con ‘being fixed’ Honestly if we had had a better experience with the air conditioning and the communication regarding it, this would have been a 4/5 star review for sure!
We liked the location, kid programs ,pools
The room didn't have coffee ,tea, or kettle in it. We could have paid for having a kettle in our room. We had to pay for a safety box which is insane. Staff did not accommodate the late check out request and there wasn't any information given about available services. Food wasn't great ,no proper selections for children.
Everything was lovely
Excellent
Hotel great for families, kids pool and splash pool good with lots of floats and toys . Rooms clean and fresh although basic - towels changed every day we wanted them, and cleaners in room every day. Shower only in room which was fine for us but my son slipped as no mat in the shower , this might be good for safety for young children , not sure if there were any rooms with baths but could be tricky for people with babies and very young children. Evening entertainment was varied and on every night seemed good but we didn’t go every night . Kids disco was great my son loved it although didn’t start till late 8:30-9pm. Food was good for Spanish all inclusive plenty and varied choice for adults although food was never very warm, kept on hot plates but didn’t seem to work very well. Only down side was lack of choice for kids with it being a family oriented hotel it was disappointing, myself like many others whilst we were there struggled for kids food my son lived on pizza and chips and some other picky bits, even chicken nuggets were only served one night whilst we were there. The snack bar wasn’t great it looked a bit dried up and was left out all day my husband and I didn’t have anything from it but my son ate the pizza and chips . All in all though good hotel . Resort was lovely and only a 10 minute walk from hotel as is the beach .
