House keeping left a lot to be desired. Twice during a two week stay they didn’t clean my room. Carpeting needs cleaning in room. Twice their supplies were left in the room. I actually appreciated it cause I used them to do additional cleaning. Housekeeping needs much more attention to detail.

A warm welcome from this beautiful hotel. Staff exceptionally courteous and helpful. Fabulous breakfast.

The bed was the worst one I have ever slept in. A slab of concrete would have been more comfortable.

Beautiful property. Very well kept and as an American it was a great British property. Just like in the movies. I did not get a chance to use their new spa but it looked amazing. Room amenities were above average as well!

Comfortable, convenient, lovely staff and brilliant breakfast

From the moment we arrived we were treated royally, our car being taken to the parking by the valet, our bags and other things in a trolley to our room too. It was made so EASY! At Receptions we were really welcomed and given a 2 drink voucher. Anything we asked was done immediately! And our room overlooking the sea with balcony was AMAZING!! (A Junior Suite) Worth it!!

Had a wonderful time at The Grand and a fabulous meal in the restaurant. Best pina colada I’ve ever had too!

Lovely stay as always at the grand - we had our dog with us and having the dog bed and bowls in the room makes travelling with him easier. The dog treats were a nice touch too and he loved them. Central location, easy access to beach, shops, bars.

Superb Traditional Hotel. Food in Cyan restaurant very good as was the buffet breakfast in the dining room, comfortable lounge bar. Bedrooms extremely well furnished together with elegant shower/bathroom.

Had a great stay, staff very friendly, our room was very clean. Breakfast was amazing, so much to choose from and the cocktails went down very well.

The staff were excellent and made our stay special and enjoyable. We stayed for our ruby wedding anniversary and the hotel made it memorable with chocolates, a bottle of wine and a complimentary drink at the bar.

The Grand Brighton lived up to it's reputation and we had a wonderful time staying at the hotel. The room was excellent and the staff extremley helpful and welcoming.

Cheaper than the Hilton Metropole, bedroom and general hotel was also in a much better condition, staff were very friendly and helpful, and above all, our dog was made very welcome. We are already planning our next trip here

It rained in the room. That was unique.

Was a little underwhelmed to be honest. Its not as close to the pier as you'd think. Everything seemed a very long walk away. Prices are a bit steep for things and room service is not 24 hours.

Great stay at the Grand, the room we were given was beautiful with a balcony and sea view, a complete surprise as we booked a room out the back.

The location of the hotel was great just a short stroll to the beach shops and restaurants. It’s an old building and parts were looking tired but the rooms were lovely and clean with comfortable beds. The bathrooms were clean spacious and fitted out to a really nice standard - we had a fabulous time - only negative was price of parking at local NCP and it would be nice if the customers could get discounted parking

Lovely decor in the hotel, rooms are simple, clean and tidy. The carpet on the stairs and hallway leading to our room on the 1st floor could do with replacing, as it’s very worn and torn in places. Breakfast is fantastic, such a huge selection, from fresh fruit, freshly cooked omelettes, English and continental breakfasts to pastries and yoghurts. The staff are professional and helpful. The only quibble we had was with check in, as we arrived an hour early, our room wasn’t quite ready, so that was understandable, but, the check in staff said we could wait in the bar and would call us when the room was ready, which we thought was no problem as it was our fault for turning up early. But, an hour wait turned into two, as I was told we’d been forgotten about, due to the high volume of visitors being checked in. The staff in reception were polite and apologetic, but, I still didn’t want to waste my time sitting in a bar a lot longer than I had planned. Overall, I would definitely stay again and feel the majority of staff should be commended for their hard work and professionalism.

Beautiful hotel. Room was large, well arranged and looked recently decorated. Everything was perfect. We also had breakfast on the two days. Delicious with lots of choice and friendly staff throughout.

I have stayed at the Grand several times and have always enjoyed my stay. Staff very friendly and efficient. Made to feel welcome on arrival.

We changed hotel because the previous one was terribly dirty. We found this one available and we were so happy to have booked with them. Every staff were absolutely gems. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Door men were really helpful and so kind. Check in staff went out of their way to make us feel good! I would recommend this hotel to everyone wanted to stay in Brighton.

Dropped off bags in the morning (as we had a spa booking). Asked at reception if room ready at 2. No, it wasn’t, but “would be ready before 4”. Asked another member of reception staff if we could get our bag, only to be told it was in our room that was very much ready. I hope the original woman at check in was happy with her power trip ‘win’. At check out, the guy in the reception area was more engrossed with the conversation with a colleague than to smile or say good morning/hello. Service aside, we had a nice stay. The newly refurbished room was clean and comfortable. Due to the service levels, we wouldn’t stay at this property again.

We were welcomed by Poppy on reception who was very helpful and professional. Room lovey and breakfast choices were amazing . Great stay at this total.

Rough around the edges. We had a lovely stay at the Grand. There were a few occasions during our stay where we feel the service could have been better. We would probably return, but only for the sea views and beautiful architecture.

Had the most amazing time at the Grand Hotel. Great value for money room with a sea view incredible choice at breakfast. Staff were all very polite and helpful nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be staying again in the very near future. The hotel is on the sea front near to the lanes and jewellery quarter plenty of bars and restaurants. Great place to stay

I saw on their facebook account that they giving some treats to their guests who are celebrating birthdays.I called 2x to informed them, I even purchase their wine, but no treats or greeting card when we arrive. Only then when a room service staff gave the ice bucket that I requested, I asked her if their really giving those kind of treat. She came back with just 4x chocolates, which is fine, I guess. Considering we stayed for 3x day 2 nights, had breakfast for 3. They even gave us the ugliest room. Down to last corner. No view and no balcony. Reception and concierge wont even greet you, just "hello" I even said "good morning" to them. I called room service 3-4x no one was answering. No toothbrush & toothpaste and no slippers. We have to call them to make a request. Didn't refill the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Mind you their are so tiny and we have to share it for 3 days for 3 pax. Breakfast was good. Bellhops are nice.

Lovely building and staff courteous. Overall calm atmosphere in a very busy hotel. Shower tray was not deep enough and flooded the bathroom floor; maintenance were sent to ‘fix’ problem, but no improvement made.

We had a fabulous stay at the Grand for our 40th wedding anniversary, the room was fabulous. Spotless, roomy, comfortable with a very large soaking tub in the bedroom. It also had a sea view and balcony (Pavilion room). The hotel arranged a bottle of champagne and card on arrival which was a lovely treat. We enjoyed breakfast in the conservatory with sea views and the food was delicious with a great choice. Our maitre,d was super attentive he was an Italian gentleman who’s name I can’t recollect. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful especially Laura who checked us in. The cocktails in the bar were very tasty. We will certainly be back. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Our room was very comfortable and quite big, nicely decorated and furnished. Bed was very comfortable and large. Barhroom again was very comfortable and modern. Overall our stay was very nice and we look forward to returning very soon.

I had a newly refurbished room which was very nice and had a large balcony facing the sea. But the highlight of the property is the staff, all helpful, kind and friendly.

Asked at reception what was the reason for visit was. mentioned it was my birthday when we got to room found we had been upgraded to a large room with balcony. Can thank you enough.

We visited for a short couples break for a special occassion, we were greeted with complimentary chocolate and drinks. The staff were super friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was comfortable, clean, spacious and relaxing. Food was tasty and freshly prepared.

Probably the loveliest hotel we have stayed at for our anniversary. Lara at reception was wonderful- super excited we got a free upgrade - the staff go out of their way to make your stay happy and comfortable. The Grand is definitely grandiose without being ostentatious or pretentious. Holds all the charm of Brighton and is very special. Thank you.

I paid £580 for a Junior Suite which I shared with a friend, and I paid £435 for an additional room for another friend. I emailed ahead and asked if I could get an early check-in. Having extensively travelled, I know these are not guaranteed. I checked-in anyway and waited, and watched dozen of other guests checking-in early while I was kept waiting whilst the room was cleaned. I asked why multiple other persons were able to check-in whilst I was being kept waiting. I was just fobbed off and told that check-in wasn’t until 1600hrs on at least two occasions. Yet still dozens of others were facilitated. My bag had been placed in the room so I know it was unoccupied. Not the service you expect when you have just paid £580 for one night. Not impressed. The shower was faulty too. The water ran out of it like a bath tap. Also the water from the bathroom sink tape tasted like dirt. DO NOT BRUSH YOUR TEETH WITH IT. The hotel also billed my credit card two extra times overnight for the same fee. They also put a service charge automatically onto the price of the drinks at the bar. A pint of beer was £8 something. That’s central London 5 Star prices, not a tired looking 4 Star hotel in Brighton. This is a tired looking hotel possibly living off a reputation it may have had up until the 1950s. Not impressed at all and we definitely will not be returning. Not good service, or good value for money. They also need to replace the carpets around the staircase. It’s worn through

Technical problems with the new computer system made the check in a bit difficult but we were let into the room. Unfortunately without the room key, we couldn’t use the air-con. It was a new room and there was a leak in the bathroom although this didn’t cause us any problems. We always stay at the Grand when in Brighton and will continue to do so. Staff, as always, were excellent and helpful.

No upmarket restaurant for this quality hotel. Bedroom excellent but no bed turn down offer. Some areas very tired and not attention paid to keeping standard. Housekeeping a good standard. I will come again as position very accommodating for my need. Hope can improve.

Unfortunately we didn’t get much sleep.. room was next to an outside noisy air con unit - constant noise all night, ironically the air con in the room was not cool enough! It’s a shame as the hotel is iconic and beautiful. Perfect location. Check in was OK although 1 of the rooms in a party was not available until after 4pm

It’s in the name! A Grand hotel. The best hotel I have stayed in the uk. Greeted by a lovely gentlemen who help with our luggage and was very helpful. We stayed in a junior family suite and the room massive it was also clean, modern with a lovely sea view you can enjoy from your balcony. Breakfast was very nice with lots of options with very friend staff, like the rest of the Grand Team.

Beautiful hotel on the seafront. Had a vintage feel even though it’s been updated and renovated. Room was spacious with luxury toiletries and robes. Would definitely recommend and book again.

The service during our stay was second to none. The concierge helped with our bags during check in and check out which was really appreciated. The hotel were also happy to store our luggage the day of check out. The room was recently refurbished to an excellent standard. Will definitely be back.

Have seen it on tv and wanted to try it out. Not quite what I expected. But, very nice and expensive.

Another good stay in Brighton. Love the location & the weather was great, so that was a bonus!! My only disappointment was we never had a bath in our room which I would have expected.
