Charlottetown Inn & Conference Centre

The location was great. Within walking to many attractions. The staff were pleasant and helpful. After reading some poor reviews due to the construction, it was a pleasant surprise to see such a nice hotel and room.

The fridge in our room was noisy.

Downtown location was great, the staff member we meet when we arrived was lovely.

Took 5min for the shower to get warm. The breakfast basket fruit had been there for a number of days. We did not get the room type we booked.

Staff were awesome & location was great so that we could walk to supper, show & drinks after

Would have been nice to start morning with nice coffee with actual cream

Renovated room with full kitchenette and nice size bathroom/shower. Perfect room if you were staying longer on business.

The bed was brutal, lumpy and felt unlevel. Upgrade the pillows also.

Breakfast bar in room. Bed was very comfortable.

Yoilet plugged first thing when we arose. Had to use lobby bathroom.

Location and super clean. Excellent staff.

Immaculate. Clean, great location

The pool was cold

Room was a good size. Location was good.

Under construction and lack of access to facilities

Très belle chambre et très bien situé

Rien

Great location to see great sights

It was wonderful

One of the few accommodation facilities i ever stayed at, which gets you more exercise from the reception-lobby to the room, than one gets to travel there in the first place....very positive experience mind you! The ideal location for anyone who has an out-patient surgery appointment scheduled at the nearby QE-Hospital, easily reached by cab.

Nothing that is in the direct control of the Hotel management. All good.

The room was very cozy and the bed was extremely comfortable

Location

Room bed was very uneven

Not to bad for short stay

The pool and the room os too far. Also the lady staff is kinda absentminded. Like, while asking directions the indian lady while point only the direction without telling which direction it is. Kinda rude for the guess.

The location was great. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

I thought with the name of this hotel and the price, that it would be great place to stay. Unfortunately not so. There was carpet pulled away from the door so that was our first indication. No stand to put luggage and no closet to hang your clothes. The mattresses were not comfortable. It was dark and dingy. We were going to stay another night but changed our minds

No breakfast, wasn't told about renovations

Booked 3 rooms with 2 Queen beds in esh room. Only one room had 2 beds

Très ordinaire

Rester prise dans l’ascenseur 2 fois

The location was ok. Breakfast was a cookie, cereal bar, muffin, apple, orange and apple juice which was in the room upon arrival.

Air conditioner was in the window of the bathroom which supplied the entire room. Loud to say the least. The room had adjoining doors on either side which were not sound proof.

No breakfast because it was under construction

It was under construction

Localisation

Barre tendre…. Muffin sec et pomme molle.

The room was clean.

There are two buildings in the complex. If you stay in the one across the road from the check-in desk, and you’re out past 10pm, they lock the building down and you can’t get in, even with your card key. You have to go across the road and use the tunnel back to your side of the street. Considering I had my 81yo mother there to see Anne of Green Gables, it was an unbelievable inconvenience, especially for what I paid.

Nothing

Nothing

It was close to downtown and an easy walk there and back.

It’s being renovated so the rooms were not ready. And by that I mean, I think they had just finished tiling the bathrooms and floors before we got there. It smelled like drywall dust. It was clean but very minimally. The wifi was horrible and the hairdryer in the bathroom only blew cold air!

Very clean, noticeably renovated

Matress was very soft

Everything was fine. Good service when registering and facilities were very good.

Hard to adjust room temperature but did not cause much discomfort.

Do well located spacious, wonderful beds. Quiet.

Nothing

Portions of facility closed because of construction. Not informed until after reservations were made and paid for. Site should have been more transparent and/or offered a partial rebate based upon condition of premises.

Location

Under construction. Access to rooms was awkward.

Location was walking distance to the waterfront. We have a kitchen, which was a bonus

It was in renovation

Perfect location, near great restaurants and just down the road from the theatre. Staff was excellent, everyone was very nice and helpful.

The location was ok for my needs, for a tourist spending their day in town, it would be very good.

The construction forced people to go the long way around to access the suites opposite the office, but it was a minor inconvenience.

Location Price

Room was newly renovated and bed was comfortable. Room had a kitchen with full size fridge.

There was no comfortable seating in the room. The hotel is under slow renovations which was NOT disclosed pre-booking. To get from the only entrance and exit at front desk, one has to haul luggage down a dirty flight of stair then down ramp tunnel under the street. Housekeeping came only every 2nd day. Breakfast is packaged muffins, Costco chocolate covered granola bars, juice and an apple or orange. Coffee is in the room.

Good

Building location's proximity to downtown and hospital was good. The room was well equipped with a kitchenette and kitchenware. Heating/AC was good.

The room had a mildly unpleasant smell. It was very inconveniently located far from the parking lot with no available staircase exit to the parking lot around the North building. The room could only be accessed via the hotel lobby, down a stairwell, through a tunnel crossing the street, and up an elevator. The room was not well soundproofed, with people in the adjacent room sounding as if they were in the hallway screaming at my room's door. Wifi was intermittent even when connected but good when it was online.

It’s fine

but didn’t like how I gotten woken up by people who were doing construction

Location

We had stayed here before total different experience. Most likely we'll not stay here again.

Location to event.

Breakfast wasn’t available.

Location was great for touring around the west half of PEI. Nice to have the option to prepare our own food.

Location n staff

Renos but is needed

Location

Bugs

Terrible rooms are falling apart, door handles falling off ,stains on the bed sheets will not be returning ever to this place

I value that the staff moved us to another room, since the original room we booked did not have hot water

Breakfast was the worst of all my stay, only huge amounts of bread (and the quality of those was not very good because the bagels were hard) cereal, waffles and that's it, no eggs or protein and the room was okay, except for the noisy electricity gear did not allow me to sleep well, so unfortunately that ruined my experience mostly

Location is excellent..check in clerk was friendly and efficient...they had no issue with us checking in a bit early..

It got noisy around midnight for about an hour or so

It's going to take a lot of time and money to update this timeworn and rather dreary place. The renovations look pretty good so far, but the structure still has a 1970s institutional feel. The breakfast was in a windowless basement room and was nothing special. I'll come back in a year or two when the renos are done and see if things are any better.

Good location small crowd

Our toilet did not work at all during our stay. Asked for a credit of some sort….said they couldn’t accommodate because we booked through your organization.

Was disappointed that there was no bacon or sausages for breakfast

More options to choose from

Great location, got to do lots of walking. Comfy bed

All of the damages. Light in the room ripped out. Bathroom door peeling apart. Plug for nightstand behind bed was loose and didn't work. Bugs in the room.

Clean room

Room was very hot even though the air conditioner was on there was no cooling down the room fans were not placed so they could help cooling it down

Propreté

Tapis

Breakfast area was across the street; had to walk in a tunnel under the street to get to it. My room was fine.

The potatoes with breakfast had too much seasoning on them.

Walking distance to downtown, gym, pool, parking and breakfast included!

A little bit dated but the renovations are happening and it will be very nice when complete.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was alright. The rest of the building looks like a disaster. The say they are under renovations but it's been years since they started and he building looked better before.

Most of the buildings with the exception if the rooms are a mess.

Everything. Biggest mistake to stay there! Room smelled absolutely disgusting; cigarette or dope and mold, 2 green bugs on the bed, toilet would not flush until holding handle down on second attempt, ALL of the bedding was completely wet with dampness in the room. Should be reported to Health department or licensing board. Overcharged!!' Ventilation dirty/outdated/loud. Windows sealed shut!

Location was the only positive

The shower would not shut off after use, toilet overflowed during a 'pre flush'. The construction was unsafe and did npt look like it was even being completed, hot water tap in kitchen would not work. Mold in shower, felt very unsafe as hallway was noisy

room was ok good. no dirt or dust to see. but over all i can see it at old hotel and need some upgrades. (can see renevation in tunnel and baisment looked more or less given up. one thing bother me, the smell in the elevator in building across the road. but still i was happy with the room and the location, and lovely staff

We like the room and location

Nothing

Staff were very friendly, the beds were comfortable and I love the location. Perfect to walk anywhere downtown.

The breakfast selection was really non existent. Maybe add a few more options. Also it is taking a very long time to finish renovations. I was there in July and they still had the same amount of work to do. There also was no snack vending machine as listed (water leak in room where it was supposed to be).
