Best Western Plus Emerald Isle Hotel

Great location on Beacon, the main street on Sidney, easy to get to and from the airport. The rooms are spacious with a tea/coffee area and bathroom with the sink separate from the toilet and shower which is convenient with multiple guests in a room. Beds are super comfy and the sitting area is nice too. The breakfast is the BEST. Always fresh food and the egg cakes are so delicious.

was expecting that we would be able to get a shuttle to airport. there were several people trying to get to airport but we were all trying to get taxis and there was only one available . For a motel that expensive that is close to airport, there shoulld be a shuttle.

The staff at the front desk were very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were nice. Free breakfast included a few hot items with various breads, cereal, coffee, juice, milk. Location was very convenient right across the street from grocery stores and only 10 minutes from the ferry terminal.

The air conditioner was the portable type and pretty noisy. It didn't have a temperature setting, just a warmer/cooler setting.

It really surpassed our expectations, there was everything we could wish for and more, the staff was super and very professional. The receptionist was great and could help us with our requests where to find restaurants, etc.; The staff at breakfast were terrific at finding a spot for us to sit or answer any query.

The cleaning staff forgot to clean the fridge, there was debris of previous food (most likely produce) left. There was no spoons or fork or knives to use for the microwaved food. Wish there had been a swimming pool or even a jacuzzi to relax at the end of the day, but our grand-son was able to enjoy the gym for 20 minutes as it was very busy and it made him very happy.

It is a reliable and consistent. Staff friendly at the front desk. Breakfast is excellent. Egg bites were perfect! Great value.

This hotel was excellent overall. The staff were welcoming and always willing to assist. The rooms were quiet, nicely appointed and very clean! There was abundant choices for breakfast. This is a well run Best Western location and I would highly recommend same!

Sehr kleines Bad. Der Duschvorhang ist auch nocht mehr zeitgemäss, die Badewanne ist weder zum baden noch zum duschen wirklich gut geeignet. Das Frühstücksangebot war ok. Aber der kleine Raum ohne Fenster ist für den Übernachtungspreis nicht akzeptabel.

Fantastic hotel! Our room was immaculate, updated, had everything we needed including a very comfy king size bed. Super convenient location, great breakfast included, even treats in the lobby. The manager checked us in and went above and beyond, very much appreciated. Thank you so much, we'll be back soon !

The property was close to the airport and ferry. Incredibly kid friendly and one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. I would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was pretty good, and the breakfast room, despite not having any windows, was clean and cheerful. The location is great - right across the road from the local theatre. They texted me when my room was ready, and the staff were very polite.

The rooms have a somewhat outdated feel, and the bathroom was VERY small. To be honest, the cleanliness of the bathroom could have been better, as I noticed a few stray hairs on the floor and around the shower area. The smell of cooking breakfast was not ideal for me as I was showering in the morning... Perhaps my room on the 1st floor was a little too close to the kitchen!

Our go-to hotel in Sidney. We had such a wonderful stay at the Emerald Isle. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed—the staff remembered my daughter, and our dog was recognized and treated with special amenities, which meant so much to us. The rooms are generously sized and incredibly comfortable, with every in-room amenity you could need. One feature we especially loved when travelling as a family was having two sinks with mirrors outside the main washroom—so handy when getting everyone ready, especially with teenagers. Breakfast was fresh and generous with an expansive offering, and we loved being so close to the waterfront walkway, along with the amazing local shops and restaurants nearby. Highly recommend Farmer’s Daughter—we were lucky enough to catch their Wednesday fondue night and it was such a fun, delicious experience. I was also excited to learn the hotel has a co-working space attached. It’s an incredible space and allowed me to get some work done away from my family, which was a huge bonus. It was cold and icy in the mornings during our stay, and the maintenance team took excellent care of the outdoor walkways and parking lot, which we really appreciated. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

For the most part it was great. Bathroom floor could have been a bit cleaner, but other than that, the room was excellent.

The Best Western Plus Emerald Isle Hotel served its purpose as our last hotel prior to departing home the next morning. With the ideal location comes a room rate that is higher than overage, so bear in mind that the value proposition may not nearly be as strong for some. Breakfast offerings were good including a few select hot items which was appreciated. Please be aware there are displays around the site (rooms, breakfast area, etc.) with a QR code to offer gratuities to staff who went above and beyond; fair warning as this may be off-putting to some. Our stay overall was reasonable, was within Best Western standards (generally clean, friendly staff) and is indicative of its current ratings online.

We were only at the property for a quick overnight. The rooms aren’t fancy but nicely furnished and super clean. The bed and linens were very comfortable. Included breakfast selection was varied. Not a lot of tables in the breakfast room but we were there early so it wasn’t a problem. Staff onsite was friendly and there are several amenities available including bikes, fitness centre and laundry but we weren’t there long enough to use them. Would recommend as nice spot to stay.

We had 6 rooms over the Thanksgiving weekend for our family get together. All rooms were on the main floor, all super comfortable, clean and spacious. It was really convenient to have breakfast included. Location was great, walkable to shops and restaurants.

Would have been nice to have some variety in the breakfast offering over the 3 mornings we were there. Housekeeping provided was very minimal.

This is a great property! Friendly staff. Complimentary breakfast was a surprise. Laundry facilities a surprise. Fabulous, hot drink machine and daily cookies.

Air conditioning units cycle like a small car starting up.

Very clean, safe and quiet place to stay. Bus stop and grocery stores are walking distance from the hotel. I definitely recommended this place to stay👍👍👍.

We were in the annex, which turned out to be a plus. The fitness room was convenient, and the room was very quiet. Only caveat was the room was a bit dark, the view out the window was of a cedar fence. The room itself was very clean, nothing to complain about. The hotel is located so a stroll to the town center or to the piers is a 10-minute walk. Harmony deserves special recognition for her help in extending our stay.

The single most important disatisfier was the price, or value for money. For what we paid, we would've expected a larger room, larger bathroom facilities, more updated too.

The room was beyond reproach. The staff were friendly and engaged. The breakfast far exceeded expectations. We were so surprised, we had minimal expectations from a Best Western but this felt like a high end hotel. Cannot recommend highly enough. Expectations blown out of the water!

A great spot with safe ground level parking, friendly staff and a lovely breakfast buffet included. A fraction of the price of a downtown Victoria equivalent and convenient to airport and ferry.

We loved the clean quiet room and firm beds. We travelled by bike and appreciated the options of keeping our bikes in our room or in hotel storage. Loved the excellent breakfast and wonderful staff running the breakfast service.
