The location is very practical . Hospitality and English spoken
Great place
Hôtel correct.
Très bien
Wc istuin vuoti. Muurahaisia kylpuhuoneessa. Ilmanvaihto huono.
Price and nearby shopping
Correct for the price, this is not a luxury place. Everything was ok but nothing special. Hotel could do with a bit of renovating but then the price is reflective of that. Bed was comfortable and we got a good sleep.
I had a ground floor (21) in January and temperature in the room was very low. In the bathroom was temperature even lower. When I complained at reception desk, they answered me it’s winter time, so cold should be expected. Such a bad behavior.
It’s only 3-minute walk to the palace and close to restaurants and supermarket and fruit store. The only concern is the ventilation of the room and I saw mold buildups on the tiles of the shower room. The staff immediately cleaned it after I bring out this problem.
We had a nice stay. The hotel is situated in the city center close to the castle. Friendly staff and good breakfast. We had a good size room for our family of 4.
Good location; tricky a bit to get to (as the street was closed to traffic). You can’t leave an air conditioner on while you are gone, and the room does not cool down quickly.

Leuke plek en goed bereikbaar
The bathroom had mold between tiles, and the room was very small.
Personale professionale disponibile e gentile
I use cpap machine to enable me to breath and sleep soundly. Unfortunatly, the light and electricity went off on the night of June 9 2 24 to a total darkness, not even fire light backup, not even a backup generator. The hotel was not prepared for such a bad situation. Could not fall back asleep because of the shock of waking up not being able to breath. I called the office and they claimed that never happened before.
No AC, but had a relatively thick comforter, too hot to sleep.
Rapport qualité prix et service très bon. Un personnel très jeune et réactif. Je recommande cette hôtel très bien placé.
Great position for palace and town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms a bit small but comfortable. Heating control not very effective.
Good location and a good value
Excellent location, close to the Chateau, bars and restaurants. Friendly helpful staff and a good but basic breakfast. Nice quiet rooms which was a bit unexpected given its central location.
location is so good.
Location of hotel was perfect to everything where you would want to go and places to see. Lots of restaurants nearby. The only negative was the size of the rooms. The bed took up the whole space. My husband and I could not pass each other at the foot of the bed because the space was tight. Barely room to store luggage. Few amenities.
Clean but small room. Underground parking for 15€ Excellent breakfast. Very convenient location in the city center. Short walking distance to the Chateau. We chose Fontainebleau as a first stay overnight after landing in the morning from the States and it was a good decision.
The location is fantastic, the price is very reasonable, and the room is very functional.
Pleasant hotel within easy distance of chateau
Hotel with very basic room. Unfortunately our room wasn't cleaned after the first night, so didn't get fresh towels. Overall OK, served the purpose.
Basic hotel amenities but great location and clean rooms
Perfectly adequate
Great location. Helpful & friendly staff. Very good breakfast option Rooms a bit small but fonctionnel On site parking a bonus
Standard Ibis hotel. Location is good, a little pricey. Issues with the shower hanger.
Ontbijtbuffet ok. Inrichting, vloerbedekking, styling vreselijk. Parkeergarage dramatisch krap voor iets grotere auto. Tenslotte bedwantsen beten opgelopen. Ieuw.
Good clean functional hotel at a reasonable price. My first choice whenever I’m in Fontainebleau. Friendly staff and ideal location for tourists.
Parking available in the underground parkade but very tight spaces. Very good location close to the Chateau so we were able to walk and leave our car parked in the parkade. Rooms were clean and comfortable
Wonderful time showing family France!
Good location. Friendly staff. Nothing much else to say.
Electrical outlets didn't work, towels were paper thin, and room couldn't be tighter. Parking hard to come by.
Lovely stay in a lovely area, wish there had been complimentary coffee or tea though :(
Untidy & Dirty Bed, Dirty Reception lobby. No lift - Carry bags 3rd floor by stairs - Traumatic, Unimaginable in present time.
Ibis is always solid
very modest resources. for the price not a bargain. have stayed in tents with more space
Nice, clean hotel centrally located. Good off-street parking. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff.
Location was perfect for the palace, and centre of town. Nice and quiet.
In the heart of Fontainebleau with underground private car park. Good breakfast with nice selections. Very close to the Chateau for sightseeing and not far from Paris for resting after travel from the US. Small room but fine for the lower price.
Great location very comfortable room and bed and excellent breakfast
Comfy, clean and well appointed rooms. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Conveniently located for the Chateau and Restaurants/Bars.
The hotel was ideally situated in the town centre, less than 200m from the Chateau. It’s surrounded by excellent places to eat and is easy to find. Parking is close by but is via an underground labyrinth; not suitable for really large vehicles or over 2m high. But it was linked directly to the hotel. The only issue we had was that our room was on the main street and we had the normal cacophony of very late evening and very early morning ‘city’ noises. For an October stay, it was unseasonably warm and the air conditioning wasn’t available. Keeping the windows open was necessary but starved us of sleep because of the noise. But a good hotel otherwise.
ibis Château de Fontainebleau is in a great location. It is very near the Castle and many restaurants and shops. There is a parking lot near the hotel, and the hotel has it's own gated garage for 10 Euro a day. The hotel parking space is limited and the size of the parking space is very tight. We had a small car and had some difficulty getting in and out the garage. The room was small and sufficient. The shower was strong except the shower door only half covered the shower. We couldn't avoid making the floor wet, but the half shower/bath door is common in Europe. As Americans, we don't understand why they don't make the shower door fully cover the shower. The hotel didn't provide hand towel, wash cloth, and hair conditioner. They had all-in-one shampoo/hand soap/bath gel. The toilet tissue was very rough. That's why I couldn't give them 5 stars.
Very walkable to Chateau and town Centre. Breakfast was good and also the food we ate from the 24/7 cafe was good.
Very friendly staff. Good parking. Good breakfast.
Ideal for a visit to the Fontainebleau Château- very close to the large town car park and all the town amenities food etc!
Very good value for money especially considering a wonderful breakfast is included. The rooms are small, but adequate and the air-conditioning worked well. We would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay near the Palace in Fontainebleau.
We stayed here after a wedding. The 24 hour check in was great since we did not arrive until after midnight. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good and everything tasted fresh. Highly recommend.
Good quality hotel in good location. Parking will prove costly if you stay for a period of time
Very friendly and helpful, clean and professional
Amazing location, minutes from the chateau!! and parking too, it would have been nice if it was included in the room rate.
The hotel room was generally fine, but there was no toilet brush. Since European toilets are more often designed with higher sides that lead to the exit, the result can be pretty ugly. I had to use a plastic bag to cover my hands to clean the toilet. When asked at the reception desk, the reply was, "we have no toilet brushes." Also, there was only one towel for each person. Otherwise, the stay was just fine.
Great little place. The beds were super comfortable and the hotel was recently renovated. A nice place to stay. The rooms aren't very big for north American standards...but that is expected. Only amenity that was missing was there was no laundry facility. Laundry service was available, but it was a little pricey. A laundromat is about a block away. Overall, great place and great value. Would recommend.
Very nice hotel, close to downtown and INSEAD. The staff were very friendly and my overall stay on a week was very comfortable and relaxing.
The hotel lobby is nice and clean. The staff is friendly, plenty of parking nearby, walkable distance to chateau and all the restaurants. The rooms are nicely decorated, with modern fixtures and furniture.
We enjoyed the little village and had wonderful pastries and cakes. The Fontainebleu Palace was worthwhile visiting. The gardens were just as nice but unfortunately, it was raining when we were there.
Hotel and the staff were great - we arrived to town at midnight, and the staff took care of us diligently, made us food, and made sure we have what we needed. The rooms were really small, and when we first arrived, our room and the hallway smelled of body odour, which was not nice.
Great location. Close to Fontainebleau. A lot of restaurants. Close to shopping. Clean room but might be small for some people.
Perfect for Real Tennis at the Palace
This must be one of the nearest hotels for a visit to the chateau. Parking is available beneath the hotel but very tight turns
This was a well priced hotel for a couple of nights whilst we visited our daughter who is working in Fontainebleau - very well situated for the chateau and town centre
good location. downside was difficulty to unload luggage from car as rhe garage dies not have lift access nor main extrance door side has sufficient parking enabling luggage offloading
Chose hotel due to its close proximity to restaurants and bistros. Chateau was only minutes away. Unfortunately it was pouring with rain and did not get the opportunity to sight see
The hotel looks very tired from the street and does not improve much on entering. You cannot make a cup of tea or coffee. Although it is complementary you must ask e receptionist and she wil make it for you. Considering we arrived on a Sunday and there was one person only on duty with the phones ringing and people arriving you don't really want to ask. Rooms are very tired and reek of disinfectant or something . Very unpleasant. A couple of hours of fresh air fixed that problem.
its tucked away in a side street -staff is friendly -room can be better and its not sound proof -the chateau is very close -good location but its not three star -no coffee or tea in room -the town is pretty and quiet but expensive -I think it can be done from paris as a long day trip though it will be tiring
Stayed for 2 nights. Good value for money. And a very nice breakfast!
From the minute we arrived, the reception was lukewarm to say the least. What is not made clear is once you park underground you will then have to haul your luggage up 4 flights of stairs, something they could easily have said before you parked. Our room had a flashing, faulty lightbulb which had still not been fixed when we returned after the day out. The fire extinguisher beside our room was on the floor ( with part of the wall) when we came back from lunch and overall the hotel seemed poorly cared for. Hygiene was seriously dubious with a yellow stained toilet seat being the ultimate gross thing. Breakfast was good though!
Great location, good value, simple and clean.
We were only passing through overnight but had a good experience, staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the hotel was close to lots of restaurants.
The hotel is good, but some facilities are old. A bit noisy and can clearly hear people were talking in another room. All in all it was a good experience, no major issue. Happy to stay there again.
Very comfortable, central, quiet and satisfactory.
Quite difficult to find and cost of parking made it expensive for the quality provided
Great service, confortable, quiet room and good breakfast
Was tempted to pick the other hotels closer to the Chateau, but changed my mind instead. This was really close to the train station (though it's actually after a driveway leading to the hotel - so I missed it the first couple of times). With a luggage, I was really glad to have stayed here instead of dragging it 7km to the ones at the chateau. Room was really clean and functional. Liked it and would recommend it.
