La struttura è molto carina, avevamo scelto una camera con angolo cottura, veramente molto comodo. Affacciata sul mare e sulla piscina. È presente un ristorante dove abbiamo mangiato molto bene per pranzo.

Unico neo, il mare in questo punto non è caraibico, ma molto posso e non pulitissimo purtroppo. Le piscine un po' datate

Everything about the hotel was comfy - staff, location, room, the surroundings Great value for money.

There are a limited number of parking spots, so not always guaranteed a spot on the compound. There is a car park opposite that can be used if needed. The pools close at 7pm, which i think is a bit early.

I specifically booked a room for 1 adult and 2 kids (16 and 11), got a “studio” with 2 small single beds which looked nothing like photos on Booking.com, grotty and run down. When I asked for an extra bed, staff demanded I pay extra (and blamed Booking.com for misinformation which is nonsense). Out of principle I refused and at least we got the money back and went somewhere else. They also “helped” to arrange the airport transfer which was double the normal price for a taxi on this distance.

Very clean and nearby the local shops

I was on the top floor and my view was amazing opened the doors and felt like i was in the sea. I liked that there are two pools to choose from and that there are gardens so you dont just have to lay by the pool.

The hot water could have been better. The shower glass was not big enough for the shower.

It is a great location, central to many things. The room and property was clean . The staff was excellent.

I liked the amenities and the closeness of the location to the beach and town. The daily housekeeping was awesome. The staff was very helpful and warm. The cost was worth every cent spent. Overall the experience was a really good one. I would choose it again

The staff at this hotel were all AMAZING!! I stayed here for 9 days with my 3 year old twins and every staff member went above and beyond ... always saying hello and checking on my girls, very attentive and I couldn't have asked more. The ladies that work here are an absolute credit to the hotel and I can't thank them enough x

The receptionist are wonderful and friendly. The property is in a perfect location to restaurants and other local venues.

The long wait for breakfast order to go into kitchen and then waiting again. 1st morning was 1hr 40mins before we got the food we ordered so I bought my own foods from Masseys for the rest of the days. Many other people got up and left. Shame cos when one lady came on shift it was brilliant

Check in was quick and easy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was exactly as in the photo. The bathroom was clean and satisfactory. The kitchenette had all necessities for preparing any kind of meal. Good vibes.

My reservation was booked twice by the hotel, at a higher rate. Printed proof of price upon booking made resolving the issue hassle free. Traffic noises are constant due to the location on the main road. (Not a problem at the pool or beach). Parking is available but very tight.

The location was perfect along the main road with the option to take a bus instead of taxi. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. I like the friendliness of the staff also. The food at the restaurant was simply delicious.

It may be a good idea to have the restaurant look like they are part of the staff by having on a uniform. It looks better instead of street clothes.

Very pretty pool area. Buildings have quaint curb appeal. Access to the beach, buses and taxis, and a few different restaurants as well as a grocery store in walking distance. Staff were very friendly, especially Reggie, who was willing to help with any sight seeing need!

Limited hours at the on site restaurant. A/c was functional for the bedroom and sleeping, which is fine as we were out and about for most of our stay. If you are someone who likes to have a cool room to home back to, it’s not going to happen!

Ocean front room, great views with two pools which worked great for us- I love the ocean and my husband prefers the pool - they were steps from each other. Staff were all friendly and some truly made our stay ( Reggie, Joseph and Latoya were spot on, there was another lady on the security team who was a true sweetheart), The kitchen was stocked well enough. You do need to buy all your own food/drink and this may be an issue for some but Massy is just up the street so we had coffee and breakfast on or ocean view patio each morning and cold cheap banks ( not bar prices) in the evening. I did see some complaints about bathrooms in need of repair or lack of warm water however this was not a noted issue for us. Also the elevator functioned perfectly the entire time. The location was ideal we mostly stayed at the semi.private hotel beach but Accra/ Rockley beach was a few 100 meters away and Worthington Beach was not far either. Many food options in close proximity to fit all desires - commercial food truck, street food ( home cooked meal served from a van at 20 BBD a pop and enough food for two days), restaurant chains( Chafette / Bubba/ KFC/ Burger King / Little Caesars) or finer dining at Champers/ Tapas etc. Oistins is also a quick bus taxi Ride away. Can't speak to the onsite restaurant. All in all we were quite satisfied with our choice

As mentioned in other posts gym amenities are limited ( 2x treadmills, a recumbent bike and a weight machine) but there is a great board walk that many run/ walk for exercise however if you lift the gym will definitely not meet you needs. The street noise can be heard from some rooms but we just closed our bathroom door and that helped reduce it. One morning house cleaning staff were quite persistent when knocking on our door in order to gain entry to clean the room. This is the only incident that bothered me. I am on vacation and don't expect to have someone persistently knock on my door to clean nor do I expect it to happen before 9 am. Point for hotel to consider.

Outdated appliances and fixtures. Need to update payment polices. No prepayment was charged. Card on file wouldn’t work even though charged and pending. Created stressful check in. Gym needs huge upgrades and better upkeep/cleanliness.

Top Unterkunft direkt am sauberen traumhaften Strand.

Prima hotel pal aan het strand met mooie tuin en zwembad met direct uitzicht op zee. Kamers met eigen keuken, wel ietwat outdated maar voorzien van alle gemakken, mooi groot balkon met zeezicht. Op 600 meter loopafstand klein winkelcentrum met supermarkt en restaurants.

Wij kwamen net aan vanaf de luchthaven met zware koffers en kregen een kamer op de 3e verdieping, de lift was kapot dus mochten we alles zelf naar boven dragen, niet echt een warm welkom. Wij hadden een tweepersoons kamer met tweepersoons bed geboekt maar bij binnenkomst in de kamer bleken er 2 losse/aparte bedden te staan, dit werd na melding bij de receptie uiteindelijk wel hersteld en tot tweepersoons bed omgetoverd.

Das Hotel liegt an einem schönen Strand, der Meerblick ist grandios. Ein gepflegter Garten umgibt es. Die Zimmer sind praktisch, gemütlich und landestypisch eingerichtet. Die Mitarbeiter an der Reception sind sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich.

I'm actually unhappy awarding two stars. We love this hotel for its location and views. The staff are helpful (most of them) and the on site cafe is perfect - run by a beautiful friendly woman and her team. So why two stars? We booked this hotel this year because we've been here before. Price wise it was no cheaper than other locations. We arrived from the UK to find that the lift was not working and we were placed on level 3 (top) no porters and no alternative but carry two cases up three flights. Reception were totally disinterested. We later learned that the lift has been broken since March. No pre warning that there were building works in the hotel (builders were all decent guys and no problem) but building noise all day every work day. No water one day and again no real interest from reception (pressure returned after builders left for the day!) This is a great location and a good hotel and it didn't dampen our enthusiasm for barbados - BUT i would have expected advance notice and reasonable alternatives to be offered due to builders and lift. Sorry

We had a great stay in Blue Orchids hotel. If you're looking for a good hotel, clean room, excellent view and great location - it's a place for you. It's not luxurious by any means but that's not what we needed. We've stayed in the area before and enjoyed Blue Orchids more than our previous accommodation (Worthing Court) due to the outstanding view from the balcony. The rooms are spacious and have everything you might need. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and ok bathroom. The staff are very friendly and happy to help. The only thing I would not recommend is the hotel restaurant - small portions, service fee added on top of the bill and compared to options you have outside the hotel - mediocre and expensive. There are loungers and umbrellas available on the beach and two swimming pools you can use. Not much noise from the road although you can still hear the cars during the day. The lift didn't work which did not bother us but I have seen some reviews with people very disappointed by that so if it's important to you - maybe ask for a room on ground floor. Wi-Fi in our room worked but was a bit spotty - we were on the 2nd floor (or 3rd floor if you consider ground floor 1st) but some guests from the floor above us said it did not work at all in their room. We will definitely come back if in the area. Good budget friendly option.

nice hotel. But the staff really need to be train properly like Sharon and melissa just loud and unapproachable. But the hotel was nice, food was amazing the lady's at front desk were lovely. I had a lovely room attendant name Shanee did a nice job with my room.

Hotel rooms are dated, tired and in need of new furniture and fittings, broken toilet seat, ripped chair and a cooker that we had no confidence using. The towels are old and worn out. On arrival our room had an issue and we had to spend the first night in a different room living out of a suitcase. This was up 2 flights of stairs and the lift does not work. Apparently hadnt been working for ages! We kept our beach towels for the whole holiday as whenever we asked for more at varying times of day we were always told 'you've come at the wrong time'. Went without a tea towel for 3 days despite requesting replacement at reception. Trued to do a currency exchange but they wouldnt accept a card payment, I was told sharply that it was 'cash for cash'. We were on the ground floor and there was rubbish left outside our room every morning. To be honest everything was TOO MUCH trouble for the reception staff and with their apathetic attitude towards us we gave up speaking to them. We paid extra for a sea view, when we arrived we realised that every room has a sea view! The security and maintenance staff are the best thing about it. Would never stay again, waste of money even for a 3 star hotel.

Pros; Good location! Within walking distance of small mall and shops. Starbucks opposite! Fantastic view of the beach from my room. I had a nice evening meal and cocktail in the restaurant Most staff helpful Cons; No welcome drink on arrival or in the room I was on the third floor and the lift was not working. According to staff it hadn't been working for over a month. No menus in the room or QR code on the fridge as they suggested Kettle head was cracked. This was reported but I never got a replacement No tea and coffee in the room as with most other hotels. You have to bring your own. Room needed and deep clean and updating. Old fixtures and fittings, cracks in floor tiles. I had a leak in my toilet on my second day Very poor WiFi. Had to log in a few times a day everyday whilst there. Raised the with the front desk. They took a security deposit of 350 BDS that I was told was a hold. The money actually came out of my account straight away! Only got it back a few days ago and it was less that what was actually taken from my credit card. Manager never got back to me when raised as a concern. Still trying to resolve For the record I travel to Barbados minimum of once a year so I am no novice when it comes to staying in hotels. It was my first time at this hotel due to having to book a hotel last minute to attend a funeral.

This was our first stay at the Blue Orchids. After spending 10 days here, we can understand why we met other guests who have stayed multiple times at the Blue Orchids. We found all of the staff friendly and helpful. Super location in the Worthing area. Able to walk to beaches, to restaurants when we didn’t feel like cooking and for grocery shopping. When too far to walk, it was easy to catch a bus. Will be back!

Excellent ocean view room ideal for overnight stay 20 minutes from airport. Champers restaurant nearby outstanding for dinner and lunch. Tika bar nearby great for drinks.

The elevator to my 4th floor room was broken (not operating). The dining room is now run by a young couple who have an excellent chef who prepares excellent cuisine. I have stayed at the hotel for many years and always come back.

This is a cute little hotel on the water. It has 2 pools and a small beach front.

We are repeat visitors to Barbados and to the Blue Orchids as are most guests which says it all 💙

Excellent little property by beach with pool and access to sister property, Coral Mist. Low key and by bus stop which you can hop on to for access to a lot of the Island. St Lawrence Gap 10 mins walk. To walk along beach towards Hilton & Carlisle Bay about 45 mins walk. Bridgeyown 10 kins from Carlisle Bay. We are repeat visitors so don't want to say too much about this hidden gem lol rty Coral Mist

A traditional Caribbean vibe and not the current plastic copy and paste version. It is now my favorite place to stay when visiting Barbados.

The property itself is the best. Perfectly placed, quiet, well maintained . The rooms leave a lot to be desired…the elevator was broken for the entire month and no repair in sight. Pillows and linens are old and worn. Kitchen is basics only if that, often in need of repair. The working staff were lovely and friendly.

The elevator was not working and we had to climb every day all 4 floors and even the Airconditioning was not working. I should get some refund because of that.

Blue Orchids is the best vacation location in Barbados. The view of the ocean from your balcony is spectacular and you can walk to any and all amenities. Sure the property is a little dated and sometimes things break down BUT the dedication of staff (cleaning, reception, management, reservations and maintenance) is outstanding. They are pleasant and competent.

Good convenient location, on the beach close to restaurants etc. This beach has a rough surf not great for swimming. Good security features around the hotel. Rooms are quite tired looking, sheets are thin and worn, whole hotel could use an update but comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Staff are very peasant and helpful.

Fantastic location. Lovely staff. A little bit run down, elevator seems permanently out of order, and everything smells a bit too much like chemical cleaning products. But overall a decent place to stay at a decent price in a wonderful location.

The property is beautifully located. The sound of the pounding waves was amazing. Apartment was well appointed. Everything you need to make yourself a great meal if you choose. Close to grocery, Rockley Beach, lots of dining options. It is also located at the end of Worthing beach and has lounge chairs available for the guests. Pleasant staff. Would definitely stay again

My partner and I loved everything about this oceanfront property. We had a 1 bedroom apartment in late January. The rooms were spacious with a large, comfortable patio from which we could relax and view the ocean. Its a small, quiet hotel with a very efficient and friendly staff you could be on a first name basis with-front desk, housekeepers, restaurant staff, groundskeepers, concierge- all were wonderful. The quality of food and service at the restaurant was excellent, and the prices were affordable. We happily ate there several times. We ate out when resident friends took us out but my best dining experiences were at their oceanfront restaurant. The small fitness center suited our needs. They provided loungers, umbrellas and towels for the beach, which was only a few steps away from our room. The wifi was good and although we didn't watch tv, there was a nice selection of channels. It had a full service kitchen equpped with the essentials. Convenience stores, banks, boutiques, restaurants, St. Lawrence Gap and other beaches are within easy walking distance. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel.There were security guards on the property and lots of staff around to answer any questions. I was sick one day and they provided everything I needed for a speedy recovery. The ride from the airport was about 20 minutes. I wouldn't change anything about Blue Orchids. Thank you for making my hastily planned vacation a true hit.

The lobby area was very small,dark and unattractive and we became concerned. We entered our room and were thrilled. The room was beautiful, large and clean. The pool and beach also beautiful. We had a wonderful stay

So happy we stayed at blue orchids beach hotel. Room very comfortable, huge bathroom, extremely clean, overlooking the pool and gardens overlooking the ocean. Restaurant and bar staff so friendly and fun.

Our 2nd time at Blue Orchid. Was allocated room D206. The room was fine but road noise really bad. Changed to C block & much better. Reception staff were really helpful. The rooms are very clean but do need a good coat of paint. Location is great. Loads of places to eat nearby. We loved Park cafe & Lemongrass Express. Tiki bar, Champers to name a few. Lovely pool area and amazing beach. Hope to come back one day & will definatley stay in same place.

The worse hotel we have have ever been too. The elevator didn’t work so we had to drag our suitcases up four flights of stairs. The ground floor room offered instead did not have much of a view and felt tucked in a corner but we were told it’s an “upgrade” to the higher floor. The front desk person was beyond rude and unwelcoming. She did not walk us to any of the rooms were offered. Instead passed the keys and pointed the way which was unfamiliar to us and not accessibility friendly. When we mentioned our dissatisfaction, she thought it best to argue with us. No apologies were given. The bed is not well set up. It has the flattest pillows and “king” bed of two twin bed pushed together. The bathroom toilet is super noisy after being flushed. The kitchenette is poorly done as well with shabby looking appliances. The overall infrastructure is deteriorating. We give this 0/5 stars. Would not recommend. The worst customer service and overall experience ever. Not worth the listed price. Do not book here.

We had a nice time here. The facility could use an upgrade but it is a clear 3 star hotel. Seats on the beach were in short supply. We mentioned it and were told that we could have asked for more...who knew? Overall, I would go back for a short stay.

We have just returned from two and a half weeks stay at Blue orchid/Coral mist. This was our first time staying in this location and first self catering holiday in Barbados, we usually do all inclusive hotels. Blue orchid does not have glitz and glamour, what is does have is real Bajan charm and warm hospitality from every single member of staff we came into contact with. Many guests return time and time again which speaks for itself. Located on a sandy stretch of beach with beach beds and umbrellas for guest to enjoy along with 2 small swimming pools to lazy away your days. The apartments and suites are serviced daily by the splendid housekeeping team and are fully equipped if you want to cook a snack or a meal. There are plenty of places close by to eat out and a large supermarket, bank, bakery and duty free department store close by. My only negative comment would be that the onsite restaurant, which is not actually run by the hotel, has the exact same limited menu every single day, sad because the food is good but it lacks something which would make you want to eat on site in the evenings perhaps it could have an occasional happy hour to get guests interested.

We loved it. Clean basic accommodation, pretty green garden/courtyard and pool and lounging area. Directly on beautiful Worthing beach. All rooms have wonderful balconies with an ocean view. Kitchenette was convenient. Friendly helpful staff, great location and value. Lots of food options nearby. Public transport stop is just outside hotel. Blue Orchid and Coral Mist while technically separate properties, are essentially two wings of the same hotel.

Lovely hotel great position on the beach staff very efficient and friendly,the only thing I would warn people of is the surf on the beach,the waves are very big and there is also an undertow that could be dangerous if you were not a very strong swimmer..Enjoy but please take care don't worry because there are two very nice pools and beaches to the east without so much swell..

What a wonderful stay on south coast Barbados. Blue Orchids staff were so friendly and helpful, I felt I had known them my while life. The property is just as described, maybe even better! Grounds beautifully kept, pools warm and clean, sunsets views, relaxed atmosphere. Stay here, you won't regret it.

Ocean view and wenesday happy hour was great.

Location is what brought me here. 2nd time I’ve been here, but I preferred the 1st time because of our room was in better condition. Rooms are worn down and water pressure and temperature was a problem,hot water took at least 3-4 minutes to get somewhat hot. And the balcony was hot like an oven with no wind. But great location.

Great apartment in a good location with lovely staff all round. We really enjoyed our 10 nights at the blue orchid, we booked a package with virgin which was good value for money. Our room was tucked away in a corner with side seaview which was very clean, comfortable and quiet with a lovely balcony. We recommend the worthing food square with all different choices of food and the supermarket was about a 10min walk with everything you needed. Sunbeds and beach towels are available. We just want to say a huge thankyou to all the lovely staff we came in contact with especially, monica our lady who serviced our room, mario and liverpool for passing friendly chats, reggie for the car hire and chantel and ladies on reception. We are hoping to return in the future.

Enjoyed our stay here very much, yes parts of hotel very tired looking, but our studio apartment was very clean and comfortable, with a great sea view, very good value. The staff were always smiling and very helpful. My only disappointment was the breakfast we prepaid for was expecting a continental breakfast, choice was a tea, coffe, bagel or cake or porridge, anything else was extra. Most days we didn't bother.

We’ve just had 10 days of paradise at Blue Orchid/Coral Mist Hotel. From the moment we checked in the staff here have been warm, welcoming and made sure we’ve had the best time with a level of service provided that they should all be rightly proud of. I’ve read other reviews and yes the hotel is a little dated compared to some of the modern white, glossy ones, but what you get here is a perfect location and space with a step from your room to the beach, views to die for and a large, well equipped room with everything you need including a huge balcony, coffee maker and a large fridge freezer. A special thank you to Darren on the bar, Reggie for helping us with car hire and excursions, George for his warmth and help with where to visit on the island, the lovely lady who kept our room spotless and the ladies on reception for looking after us so well. We loved it here and don’t want to leave! Thank you Blue Orchid/Coral Mist for a dream holiday! We will be back xxx

The staff, the view, everything.

A lovely property right on Worthing Beach. Easy walking distance to shops and other places. Very good value for a 3 star hotel. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the sea also. Worth a visit.
