Good hotel for business trips to Barbados.

Nothing in particular, bit outdated maybe. Could use a refresher.

I liked the location, the staff and the fact that I could turn off the air conditioning.

I didn’t like my small and very low bathtub that did NOT have a shower hose. It was difficult to shower without making a mess.

Breakfast was great!!! The Beach next door!!!

The air condition is not friendly to be manage. The auto option is too long when it is off. The bath tube floor is completly dirty with a black color, the bed matress is hard, as old used and is not comfortable. No room service.

Breakfast was amazing and exactly what I needed before a lengthy flight. The room was spacious and clean with a tempting view of the pool. The staff was pleasant and courteous.

Der Preis für die Übernachtung ist extrem überteuert.. Beim Frühstück gab es kein richtiges Brot oder Brötchen, nur Toast, der Rest war ok.

Der Standard des Hotels ist super und auch die Lage. Das Frühstück Buffet war vielseitig und vieles wurde frisch zubereitet. Der Pool und der Aussenbereich waren auch perfekt.

- shower was absolutely useless, hardly any water and either v hot or cool - AC was very very loud you had to turn it off to sleep - we booked to include breakfast but reception tried to charge us again and then questioned our booking and said breakfast was for only 1 person. - breakfast buffet items were cold

Lokalita není hodna názvu hotelu, příchod na pláž nedůstojný a chybí lehátka. Personál je neochotný až arogantní. Vyúčtování ubytování a služeb probíhá podivným až nepochopitelným způsobem. Hotel se snaží účtovat příplatky, které mají dle nabídky být v ceně ubytování.

Všechno. Příště do tohoto hotelu nepojedu.

The breakfast was decent but overpriced. The location, in the middle of nowhere, was a serious downer. and the ionly nearby restaurants served middling food at outrageous prices.

This hiotel caters to people en route to somewhere else. It is way over-priced, but compared to the insane prices of beachfront properties, it's a relative bargain.

El Desayuno esta muy bueno. El salón es muy ruidoso y no es grande, por lo que optabámos por salirnos fuera aunque hiciera mas calor para estar mas tranquilos.

es hotel que esta bien, pero que para ser Marriot, no cumplió las expectativas que teníamos. Si fuera un hotel de menos categoría estaría muy bien todo, pero pensábamos que iba a ser mas cómodo y tener mas servicios ( por ejemplo el bar y la cafetería y el desayuno era un todo) en resumen la expectativa no se correspondió con el hotel, aun asi es hotel que esta muy bien.

The location was perfect, I didn't do a breakfast package but it smelt and looked delicious the presentation was beautiful. The room was nice and spacious very tastefully decorated, the linens and bedding was impeccable and the bed was super comfortable. The black out shades was a bonus and so was the nice comfortable couch. I think this experience has converted me from being a HH member, I'm moving over to the Marriott.

There was nothing for me to dislike

Everything was perfect. Breakfast, cleanness, hospitality, services, and close to many restaurants and markets.

It's expensive.

Upper balcony has lots of bird poop that attracts bugs. Ask to have balcony wiped down.

It was great. But i wish there was at lease music when someone is relaxing outside, music from different culture, there was quite a mixes culture staying at the hotel, It was great to see and be part of such a mixed culture.

Breakfast buffet was fantastic, menu was good. People were fantastic!

Its a consistent experience staying at courtyard Barbados, friendly staff, quick check in and check out. Very comfortable beds and quiet rooms. Close to great restaurants and the ocean boardwalk.

Excellent customer service, yummy food, would definitely stay here again! The staff were very kind and I really appreciated that.

We celebrated my wife's birthday and we were very impressed with everything. First was the staff at the front desk who were very accommodating. Then, when we opened the door to our room, it was a wow moment. A little later, a member of the restaurant at the Marriott was happy to lend me a knife to cut the birthday cake. The location was great too, we simply had to cross the street to the beach. In all, we had a very pleasant and memorable stay

The room was amazing staff was very nice and helpful. The location was in proximity to everything which was a plus.

Breakfast was costly and when we got to the room it was realized the the fruits were sour and the eggs lacked seasoning. The pool was a little too shallow should of had just a bit more depth for taller persons and adults.

Great location and clean. Staff in bar/restaurant area need additional training but overall a good stay within walking distance to several areas.

Breakfast was good. Lots of choice. We really liked our room, with the separate sitting area and the two balconies

As with all hotels and restaurants these days, meals are too large.

Nice property and much to my suprise the food was pretty good. What I did not like is that after over 2 weeks leaving the hotel I still cannot get an explanation for a $70 US charge on my credit card.

I stayed here for a business trip. I am most disheartened that the hotel would have assigned me to what I later learned to be the noisiest room in the hotel. The AC unit kept humming all night and the room vibrated all night due to equipment on the roof. It felt like sleeping in an airplane, but worse. After calling the front desk at 2 am, I was provided a new room the next morning. However, no one really conveyed any apology for my inconvenience of having to pack up and move in the midst of a business trip. The customer service in general is poor. The staff, in exception for the maids, acted like I was a bother to them. I won't be staying here ever again, and I strongly suggest that you don't.

Nice hotel

A friend and I had a brief stay at this hotel and it was lovely, just what we both needed … rest and relaxation … the room was clean and modern looking and the bed was comfortable. The food was nice and the staff very pleasant. My only complaint was the pool area which needed some care and sanitation. We were planning to go in the pool but changed our minds based on the uncleanliness of everything in that area including the pool. However, over all it was a very decent stay and we will return.

Overall, my stay at the Courtyard was a pleasant experience. The staff provided friendly and attentive service, especially during breakfast, where the buffet was well-stocked and enjoyable. The only area for improvement would be the in-room televisions, which appeared quite dark and made viewing difficult regardless of settings. Updating the TVs would definitely enhance the guest experience. Otherwise, a solid stay and I would consider returning.

It was a nice place to stay

Yes, I paid $450 / night for this hotel that has motel size and quality rooms. Website says "stylish" bathrooms........ yes, with plastic shower curtains, old style bathtub and aging bathroom fixtures, shower with anemic pressure and tiled floor! Yes, I paid $450 / night for this hotel with an uninviting, decrepit pool overlooking the parking lot and main road. Yes, I paid $450 / night for this hotel for noise levels from traffic, maintenance, construction that will make a concert seem like silence. Yes, I paid $450 / night for this hotel that does not include breakfast even though I am a lifetime Platinum elite member, not that the breakfast is worth having at $33, being the same boring, tired, inedible Western fare with juices that are nothing but sugar water and stale bakery items. Yes, I paid $450 / night for this hotel for a toilet flush that did not work properly, had to call a plumber 6 times in 5 days who insisted on "teaching" me how to use and fix a flush! Yes, I paid $450 / night for this hotel that has a taxi racket going on right in its lobby with drivers sitting and waiting for their prey at highly inflated prices, all supported by the hotel. At this price level I could have enjoyed a luxury stay anywhere in the world instead of a budget property that purports to be a luxury hotel. I have never paid this kind of a price for a Courtyard, which is a midrange brand, anywhere in the world. And of course, just as the Courtyard in Port of Spain, they are stingy in honoring the benefits to their most loyal and elite Bonvoy members (upgrade, breakfast). At Port of Spain the excuse was "not a full service" hotel, here the excuse was "no executive lounge". What does an executive lounge have to do with breakfast, it was being served in the restaurant. Of course, they would rather milk their members of the insanely priced $33 breakfast! Oh, and if you need your laundry done, be prepared for $26 for trousers and $20 for shirts. I get my shirts done in NYC at $2. The Caribbean is a big ripoff that trades on the gullible Western tourist from the USA, Canada and the UK who have money to throw around. These impoverished countries are making hay while the sun shines with exorbitant prices for everything. Stay away, it is just not worth it. And finally, Joe-Ann / Kelly-Ann, please do not bother responding with generic responses if you are unable to address specific issues mentioned above.

Overall it was good. Staff and service was excellent. The property itself could use some updating, it’s a little dated. In house food options were pricey. Wish it had more local cuisine options.

I have stayed at the hotel thrice, and will go back there regularly. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and have stayed in all levels of hotels within the brand, in North America and the Caribbean. The hotel is consistent with Marriott's Courtyard brand of hotels. In fact, it is better appointed and has better staff than several of the Courtyards I have been to in Canada. It is important to manage your expectations. It is a business hotel, not a resort. It is not beachside, there is no entertainment (except *certain* guests sometimes...iykyk!) and the assumption is that it is a soft, practical and supportive place to land when you are away and an off-site office when you need it. When I travel, I like to 'go to the party' but return 'home'. This hotel is *not* the party. But, the good people at reception can tell you how to get there, if you need it. The staff were patient and attentive: they gave me curated lists of places to go nearby (and far away, when needed) to explore the beach, cultural sites, and local cuisine. The reception and restaurant staff were fantastic. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe, cared for and looked out for appropriately. My breakfasts were wonderful. I generally eat local fare wherever I go - so I ordered the Bajan breakfast a la carte, or ate the local foods in the hot plates. I can't speak to lunch or dinners, as I typically ate offsite for those. The beach is a very short walk across the street (look both ways!) and is not very busy. There is security there, beautiful water and sand and if you swim around the rocks, lots to be seen below at low tide (bring goggles). My room was a standard Courtyard room and I was happy with it. I got all the linens I needed, all the electronics worked, and the front desk was attentive to my needs. Staff were also welcoming with family and friends who visited me during my stay. In response to some of the lower reviews of this hotel, I'll say - it's important to manage your expectations and choose the hotel that matches the experience you want. This hotel is priced appropriately for what you receive and it is not a resort. The staff are very responsive to your needs. If something isn't working, raise the concern, and it will be addressed quickly. If you're looking for an experience where you are being waited on hand-and-foot by Black people who you can treat poorly, go somewhere else (and stay there) :) See y'all next time! Great staff! Treated locals and tourists alike! There was one waitress who looked for us everyday on our stay. Made us feel lovely! Everyone was super friendly and the food in their restaurant was superb!

The room facilities aren't super modern but well kept, tidy and functioning.

Following a diverted flight due to fly to London, but went back to Barbados, we had nowhere to stay and were exhausted. We made this last minute booking and the staff were exceptional. They managed to turn the room around 4 hours before it was due to allow us to sleep. They allowed us to grab a pass to the pool so we could try and nap on the sunbeds before the room was ready, they helped get us a taxi to the airport. Ultimately they showed an immense duty of care - we will be forever grateful to them for this!

The staff were friendly and very accomodating, from the receptionist to the cleaning staff. The room was modern, clean and well lit. The quesadilla and burger we ordered were great as well. Even tho the property is not located on the beach, the beach is literally across the street and very convenient. I'll definitely stay at Marriott again.

The hotel was much more of a business hotel than a vacation hotel, but we had a pleasant stay. The room was average, even though we are titanium members and used our suite upgrade, we received a balcony room on the pool level. What really made our stay here was Andrea and the amazing F&B team! My husband left his phone in the taxi on the way to the hotel and Andrea was able to get it back for us. This was the first of many stellar interactions with the F&B team. The beach was a quick walk across the street and there were several restaurants within waling distance. Honestly, there was nothing wrong with the hotel, but I do feel it was overpriced for what it was. Next time we are in Barbados, we will stop in to say hi to the F&B team but most likely stay somewhere else.
