Really needs outside work very dated and only one elevator Godchelp u if it goes out
Was close to where k needed it
Has nothing to offer smells like cigarettes and had ppl smoking in the halls and in their rooms that lingered everywhere
Just loved our stay here…clean and comfortable and the staff were delightful.
Couldn’t stay longer!
I was really glad to leave. All the areas were dirty and neglected; there were few towels, and the bed linen wasn't clean. There were cobwebs in all the hallways and dead insects along the way. I want my money back.
Broken elevator and terribly dirty stairs, dead insects in the hallway, cobwebs in the rooms, a shortage of towels, dirty bed linen, and a poor breakfast. I want my money back.
Lower price
Everything was old need some restoration
Friendly staff. Everything and everywhere was clean.
A bit dated and needs some renovation but everything was in good working condition
Location
Facilities are old and tired.
Rien Insalubre, chambres sales et vieilles
Chambres pas propres
Fridge and microwave No breakfast
Very dated. Shower fairly clean, but certainly not like the one on line photo. Mattress had stains on corners that looked like a massacre. Barely able to see over the balcony that didn't have a chair. Inside furniture was old and stained. The Exterminater was on the way out as I arrived. Staff was very pleasant.
Location close to main Street and right on the water.
The hotel is very dated and needs a fresh new look.
Location
Staff, nobody on desk at check in or out Dead bugs on all windows in hallway no cover ,exposed structure and wires under AC pillows are terrible and small hallway smelled like ass
Location was good
The first room they took us smelt so bad we had to leave the room, the receptionist said it was because of allowing dogs to stay. We looked to cancel and get another hotel but all were booked up. They gave us another room that was slightly cleaner and didn’t smell.
Location
Location is alright, but you get what you pay for. Everything else is between "needs improvement" and "meh" at the best
Toast sec!!! Confiture ou beurre arachides...café pas bon.
Nice staff,great location
The building needed a little TLC
The bed was okay
The common areas smelled like old, musty carpet, and the entire interior of the building feels run-down and poorly maintained. I've stayed at many budget roadside motels over the years, but this place stood out for all the wrong reasons. Although it's not a motel, it certainly felt like one. The walls were patched and poorly finished, the paint throughout the building was old and worn, and the furniture looked outdated and heavily used. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I would not stay here again.
The location
The hotel is outdated and in a very poor state. I can’t believe people are running such businesses in Canada. A big shame for the town of Smiths Falls and the Canadien touristic industry.

The hotel staff member was uncooperative and didn’t acknowledge & didn’t accept the confirmed reservation made via Booking.com. Furthermore, despite failing to honor the booking terms regarding the room type, they stated that they prefer dealing directly with customers rather than through third parties like Booking.com, even though the Booking.com rate was lower, and claimed they were not obligated to provide the requested room, even if the reservation was confirmed through a third party. The matter did not end there; the refunded amount was less than what had been charged to the credit card. Despite presenting a confirmed booking and requesting the remainder, the hotel refused and cancelled the reservation, citing the unavailability of the room specified in the booking.
The friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of our room.
It would have been better if we had had access to the balcony.
Location was good nice view of river
Room was smelly had to open window and balcony door , paint was peelioff the ceiling

Yes the property is a bit old but it was clean comfortable staff were super pleasant and the view from the balcony was fantastic.
The building is clean but outdated and worn out. The location is ideal! The staff were great.
How out dated and dingy it was
Quiet
All was good
It was great to have a walk around and see so many cool things within walking distance.
The scenery is amazing. The staff was great
The room smelled like cigarette.
I like nothing about our stay. Receptionist was very inconsiderate and unproffesional. She wanted mw to take the stairs all the way up to fifth floor in to my room with my big box.
All of it including the breakfast. Just breads and bagel and very awful pan cake that the machine was not even working. False advertising.
Good view and location
Shower head leak

poor
I booked one night for 118, but charged on my credit card 233. You are a scam.
there was hardly any milk for the cereals. always empty.. breakfast was terrible
The staff were professional, friendly, and helpful for special requests.
The rooms need much more attention to detailed cleaning.
Located central to Smiths Falls right on the river. Attentive and helpful staff who accommodated my request as a cyclist. The room and linens were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Coffee machine in the room and pleasant aroma shower soaps
During check in, the room rate was higher than was shown at the time of my online reservation.
The hotel staff were lovely. The hotel itself is a lovely location but very dated. It was clean and there were decent breakfast options, although nothing gluten free except the juice. I had a lovely view from my room of the river, which was lovely.
I missed gluten free options for breakfast and ended up having to provide my own, even though breakfast was included.
All the rooms and the lobby and breakfast area faced on to the Rideau River and a park scross the river
Breakfast was what I was expecting: filling. Site was conveniently located
Everything was okay
The view outside
Rooms dirty. Cobwebs in the corner, of the room. Stains in the carpets. It was pretty Nasty. Needs some updating would not stay here again.
Very pleasant staff, gorgeous location very near by beautiful areas for walking and relaxation, beautiful views from presumably every room, felt safe the whole trip. Great wifi, and fantastic AC in the room
Extremely run down property. Like very extremely rough. Not dirty but in poor repair. Toilet runs if you don't wiggle the handle, bad leak in the shower, moldy bathroom, extremely worn carpet, balcony door doesn't lock... But it's also the cheapest option in the region.
Nice view
Nice view
Nice, perfectly clean and quiet, old-style simple Hotel directly on the Rideau Canal. Perfekt for the arrival night before taking over a house boat with „le-boat“, who have their station just cross the canal. Very friendly front-desk staff on check-in.
J’y vais à tout les année pour le confort et prix tres abordable
Price and location
Very dated
La gentillesse du personnel. La localisation, proche de tout. Les chambres qui donnent sur la rivière. Le débit d'eau chaude dans la douche. Le petit déjeuner continental.
L'hôtel est un peu vieillot.
Location.
I found small animals inside my room and they told me they weren't pests. I asked to be moved to another room. Apparently, they also charge more to your credit card when you request the deposit.

Room not very clean bathroom was dirty and shower had mold in it.
This is a conveniently located, quiet economy hotel. It is clean, the staff is friendly (like Khan) and, the breakfast is good. Don't get me wrong: the hotel is very dated- it was a grand hotel with amenities like a ballroom when built, probably in the 50s. And, it could use some capital improvements in the rooms and hall ways, such as new carpets or wall paper. But you will get what you pay for- if, you don't mind a worn chair or tear in the curtain, it is a good choice. If this bothers you, stay at another hotel on the other side of town...but, you will pay 3 times as much.
good heat breakfast so so
resturant was beside so had to go out to get there
bed was comfy, staff good, location good
it's very old, not very clean, we had a balcony but it was dirty and the window was very dirty, carpet dirty, huge water stain on ceiling, elevator small and it broke.
The breakfast was fine, casual and pleasant with a lovely view of the water.
The building, once very beautiful is in need of a a little TLC.
