The interiors were gorgeous. Everywhere you looked was instagrammable. Both pools were nice for different reasons. No shortage of lounges and the poolside service was wonderful. The mandatory swimming caps took a moment to get used to but everything about the space spoke to hygiene and wellness so it made sense. One definitely can't take themselves too seriously in a swimming cap so it helped break the ice.

I didn't like leaving. It was one of the reasons Ischia took highest ranking in Italian holiday highlights.

Il mio soggiorno è stato top in tutto. Accoglienza, camera fresca e pulitissima, prima colazione eccellente con tanta scelta tra dolce e salato.la Spa mi ha rilassato in modo sublime tra piscina termale,sauna e bagno turco. Mi sono poi regalato un massaggio decontratturante ed è stato eccezionale. Le piscine nel parco sono di una bellezza unica tant'è che ho rinunziato ad altro parco termale per godermi il parco dell'Hermitage. Location unica e strabiliante con Procida e Vivara sullo sfondo dalla mia camera,un vero paradiso. Al Bistrot a pranzo ho gustato del pesce di paranza freschissimo e una buonissima cheesecake . Spero di tornare presto e merito di ciò va anche al personale, tutti bravissimi, professionali e corretti. A presto

Il servizio Bar. Sarebbe bello prendere un aperitivo bordo piscina ma purtroppo il servizio non è fornito di “finger food” e snack. Inoltre non dispone di sandwiches o panini per un pasto meridiano frugale, se non dopo le 15 con una scelta veramente limitata. Alternativa? Il ristorante aperto dalle 13. Cocktail alcolico servito in bicchieri di carta. Ritengo che tali servizi non appartengono a una struttura 4 stelle

La struttura è molto vecchia e la stanza non era quella delle foto prenotato e le lenzuola non li campiamo anche se sono sporche

Le piscine sono piccole e hanno orari purtroppo , l'ascensore è molto bella con la musica, ma purtroppo c'era una sola per il traffico che c'era . Hotel Hermitage lo consiglio l'atmosfera è il panorama è veramente bellissimo.

Beds comfortable and great size. Outside thermal pool with views of castle. Coffee was good. Clean and lots of space around inside and out. Lady on reception was knowledgeable and excellent. Air con worked well in room.

Breakfast was average, some good options but far too many pastries and better savoury options would be good. Location is ok but nothing special. Ended up walking further than expected to get to main town.

Odlična lokacija, razgled na Castelo Aragonese iz balkona, rahlo odmaknjeno od mestnega vrveža in mirno, da se človek lahko v miru odpočije. Lepo zasnovan park z termalnimi bazeni in teraso. Osebje zelo prijazno in ustrežljivo, zelo hitro odzivno ko potrebuješ pomoč.

That you could not bring outside food. Peoppe get hungry during certain time and there is no market in hotel or food available, sometimes they want to eat in their room. Maybe instead of saying no food, they can be charged if itd a disaster in the room with the food.

Big room with great view. Very comfortable bed and good location. Lovely breakfast and nice pool.

Hotel offered to call us a taxi and gave us an estimated price but when we were charged it was 45% more expensive as the taxi driver charged us from the hotel call and started the meter- very annoying so be wary when booking taxis through the hotel. We reported no soap in our room and was assured it would be refilled- we left still with no soap!

La gentillesse du personnel, la qualité des infrastructures (piscine, spa) et de la nourriture (restaurant), le confort des chambres (la literie pourrait être améliorée) et la vue du balcon. L’offre « mezza pensione ».

Pas de bouteille d’eau fournies chaque jour malgré les fortes chaleurs l’été. Pas de salle de sport comme mentionné dans l’annonce. Quelques frais inattendus tels que les serviettes et bonnets de bain obligatoire pour la piscine et le spa.

L'insonorisation de la chambre n'est pas top et elle est un peu vétuste Je trouve que le petit-déjeuner est souvent le même

Overall the hotel was great. fabulous amenities a pool with bar, a thermal pool both in which you need to wear swim caps though a rock pool to massage your feet. Reasonably priced spa I got a customized massage for 9O€ for 50 minutes. Our package included daily access to thermal spa Turkish bath and sauna. The breakfast and staff in restaurant were amazing. The gardens we're well maintained and rooms were spacious

The men at reception we're exceptionally rude, we asked for towels after a nights walk to shower and he argued with us that we couldn't have more than what the room offered until the next day. With 2 small children at 4 and 2 I thought this was ridiculous even though we offered to pay for the laundry service the females However we're polite. The security yelled at my children when they were laughing in pool I appreciate children can be loud but they were simply having fun in pool Our shower was not cleaned properly upon arrival when we notified reception and showed photo they didn't apologize this is not the service I would expect from a 4 star

Lovely well maintained garden setting. Restful with superb old school customer service throughout. Attentive friendly staff. Mandatory swim caps in pool a bit tedious. Location is 20 minutes up hill from pretty coast. Busy traffic on the way. Good supermarkets. Our room was 50 steps down from lowest lift floor. Not ideal for those with mobility issues. Transfer from and to airport was 3 hours not the 130 minutes Tui quote. Walk to bus. Bus to port. Walk to ferry. Wait. 50 minute sea trip. Walk to bus to hotel. With ID delays on way out, a 2.5 hour flight ended up an 11 hour trip door to door. Food ok. 4 course dinner with good choices. Lots of fish. Breakfast all the continental pastries, (never seen so many cakes) cereals, cold cuts, fruit, Fried eggs cold! Hot plate not working. Superb coffee/teas. Pizzeria served best pizza ever! Wonderful waiters and bar staff. Great drinks choices/cocktails. Great spa treatments. A get away from it all retreat. No Tui rep on site and no Tui info board. All trips done via Tui App. Some might feel isolated others may enjoy the away from it all do it yourself vibe.

Good location, close to local bus stop and 10 min walk to Main Street. The garden are well kept and colorful. The loungers at the swimming pools were comfortable.

The reception staff was rude and unhelpful. No complimentary drinks in the room upon arrival. The beds are hard and very uncomfortable. No iron, broken safe. Expensive pool drinks. The breakfast is the same everyday. The food is mediocre and has no special dietary food available.

Spa was ok. Was much smaller than I expected and the relaxation room was very basic. Food was ok, only had one evening meal and we didn’t like it (and we’re not particularly fussy). Breakfast was good. Wed booked the hotel to visit Ischia so it was great for that and the pool facilities outside were good. You just need to be prepared for some of the relaxation, terraces and pool areas to be up and down steps.

We booked two rooms directly through the hotel’s website: a Junior Suite and a room with partial sea views. Prior to our arrival, I called to confirm parking availability, which was positively verified. We arrived by ferry with our rental car and used GPS navigation to reach the property. Unfortunately, we inadvertently entered a ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone) and received a fine. While we understand that ZTL zones are common throughout Italy, we respectfully suggest that properties in these areas include clear navigation guidelines or warning notices on their websites to help guests avoid unexpected penalties. The front desk staff’s initial response could have been more informative, though we recognize this as an opportunity to enhance guest communication and pre-arrival guidance. Accommodations & Service Despite this minor inconvenience, our overall experience was highly positive. Both rooms were modern, meticulously maintained, and spotlessly clean, with fully functional air conditioning. The staff proved exceptionally accommodating and promptly addressed several additional requests throughout our stay. Dining & Facilities The breakfast buffet was exceptional, offering a wide and thoughtful array of freshly prepared options. The property features two outdoor swimming pools with comfortably warm, well-maintained water, complemented by beautifully landscaped gardens. We also utilized the spa, where the staff were courteous and professional, and enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere of the indoor pool. On one evening, live music was hosted on the grounds, adding a lovely and relaxing touch to the experience. Location & Accessibility The hotel’s location is highly convenient, with several restaurants and a public beach within easy walking distance. Additionally, the property provides a complimentary shuttle service to another nearby beach, and a bus stop located just steps away made island exploration straightforward without the need for constant driving. Conclusion Overall, we had a wonderful stay and confidently award this property 4 out of 5 stars. The combination of comfortable accommodations, attentive service, excellent amenities, and convenient island access makes this a strong choice for travelers. We would gladly return and recommend it to others.

This was my fourth time in Ischia and staying at the Hermitage. I love this island and the Hermitage offers a fantastic location (easy walking to the port/Ponte, and a bus stop very near), friendly and welcoming service and the most delicious and abundant breakfast. I always stay in the same room which is charming, cool, and has a lovely view. My only "downside" is that you can't have breakfast outside but apart from that it's a great hotel!

Very nice hotel in walking distance of Ponte and Porto. Don't understand criticism of lack of a shuttle bus. All staff efficient, professional and kind. Restaurant staff run dinner service like clockwork and work really hard. Food is good, rooms are clean, and pool areas lovely and relaxing. Didn't use the spa. Special mention to my maid Cecilia. She managed to unlock my bathroom door - which had jammed shut with me in it -where others had failed. Changed room after that. Went from a rather dark one to a nice bright one. AC was really noisy though and when you turned that off, you could hear a noise like someone playing the bongos coming from a pipe on the balcony. So a bit quirky but not end of the world. No light on the balcony was a shame as it was a lovely size and would have been a nice place to sit and chill after dinner. A few tweaks and it would be 5 stars

It’s is hard to put into words how good this hotel is. This was our second time staying at the Hermitage, and will certainly not be our last! Absolutely wonderful hotel. The highlights are the staff, all of them are extremely attentive; from reception, wait staff, housekeeping, and they all have a ‘nothing is too much’ attitude. They made our stay truly special. The food is second to none, and there is a fantastic drinks selection on offer including local wines and cocktails. Breakfasts are wonderful (and you’re spoilt for choice - pastries, cereals, cooked breakfast, and cold meats) and we really enjoyed the newly opened Terrazza for lunch. The facilities are wonderful, the pools are kept immaculate and the sun beds are comfortable. Well worth a trip to the Spa! We had massages, body scrubs and more and it was well worth it. I wish I could give the hotel and all its staff more than a 5* rating. Thank you all, and see you next year.

"Family room" was a large bed and pull out couch. The bed was amazingly comfortable. However you could feel the bars through the mattress of the pull out couch. Not enough hooks in the bathroom- not really enough room for family of 4.

Bel hotel bien décoré, extérieur agréable, belle chambre avec balcon, bonne literie, excellente insonorisation des fenêtres.

Des détails qui manquent pour en faire un vrai 4 étoiles: bouilloire, machine à café, bouteilles d'eau, peignoirs, chaussons etc... Personnel à l'accueil pas très chaleureux par contre très agréable au restaurant.

Bellissimo hotel , molto ordinato e pulito , tranquillo , ha due piscine con acqua termale , una 28 gradi, mentre l' altra più calda e tranquilla posizionata su un i terrazzamento raggiungibile con delle scale . Non abbiamo usufruito della piscina interna e spa ma visitata ed era molto bella , la nostra camera era superiore nuova e pulita, personale gentile ( non troppo )

Location was good, close to beach, restaurants and shops. Only about a 15 min walk. Special shout out to restaurant service staff, they were exceptional, Giovanni and Antonio were the best.

We opted for a half board, which means a set menu. Didn’t see any other choice really. Food was ordinary, sometimes it was what we had the day before but reconfigured, and most times served cold. Breakfast was good, if they improve their evening meal it would be a really great place to stay.

On arrival at the hotel we was warmly greeted after spending the day travelling. We was here to spend 3 nights at the hotel for our honeymoon, The hotel is really nice, there is so many areas you can sit and relax in peace and quiet, the pools are all well kept and a good temperature. We had lunch at the restaurant one day and the food was great quality also, I would definitely return to the hotel as we had a comfortable and great time. There is just a couple of points for improvements: Breakfast is typical style however it would be nice if the warm options was hotter as they was always slightly warm, also if items was refilled more quickly most days we arrived around 9am and most items was not refilled. On the pool there is some sunlounges that require cushions but these was not on or available to find. People smoking on balconies, we could not have our balcony door open as you could constantly smell cigarette smoke and it would come into the room if the window/ door was open, to make it enjoyable for all guests they should stop people smoking on balconies and provide smoking area within the hotel areas.

A nice property a little further out than I would have liked. taxis are not easily got. Some areas of the hotel slow open blaming weather or low season. From my perspective May is not low season.

The property was beautiful. The pools were lovely. The staff was attentive and friendly. The breakfast had a lot of choices with both sweet and savory options. It was a short walk to the castle and wonderful restaurants. We would stay there again.

Hotel davvero bellissimo! La cosa che mi ha colpito di più è stata la vista sull’isola, semplicemente spettacolare, mi ha lasciata a bocca aperta. Anche il cibo è stato super e lo staff estremamente cordiale e disponibile. Un’esperienza che non dimenticherò!

La cucina è da rivedere totalmente; ho prenotato mezza pensione. Ho consumato solo la sera dell'arrivo ed è stato un disastro , i giorni successivi non abbiamo utilizzato il ristorante ma ho preferito andare in altre strutture .Eccessivo personale Stagista , alla richiesta di una bottiglia d'acqua sono intervenuta 3 persone !!
