Reviewed Jul 20, 2026Pleasant stay, staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable. Very happy with the bed and mountain view.
Hotel looks dated and in need of refresh - Well used carpets with stains, water condensation and mould on bathroom ceiling. Pool area has lot of potential, but seems like a lack of care stopping it from being great space and that kind of goes with the whole hotel.

direkt am Meer aber leider kein Badestrand, einmal im Wasser und nie wieder für einen Strand mit sauberen Wasser muss man schon ein Taxi nehmen

Reviewed Apr 4, 2026I like the location. I once lived in Vung Tau, know my way around. Due to an accident there I live with a wheelchair and need to be in close proximity of facilities. The REX is walking distance to the small city beach. It has a beautiful view over the South Sea where the local fishermen stay. The big beach (Bai Sau) is presently undergoing an amazing face lift. Close by is the Lotto Mall.
A minor point, the REX swimming pool has only one step down into the water.

Reviewed Mar 18, 2026This booking was for the older style room (renovated recently) with a balcony - great view, very clean, slightly dated decor but still good. I then moved to the new wing which I prefer - with safe, no balcony, but very new looking and again comfortable and always clean. Lovely staff who can’t do enough for you - great breakfasts with big selection and an amazing swimming pool which I love. WiFi always seemed good. The location is right on the front beach so you can get to everywhere you need to.
Nothing really - if renovating again could make sure bath is more level with the tile surroundings as hard to stop the water going on the floor. We liked the com văn phòng but even more dishes would be brilliant.

Aunque está en primera línea de Mar, la zona no tiene playa

Steps for getting in and out of the swimming pool were not actual steps but rungs which made getting out of the pool unsafe.

No chairs on the balcony to enjoy the sea. The toilet seat was cracked and needed replacing. The room was very dated. The pool was visible from 2 streets so not very private. The fridge froze everything even on the lowest setting.
