Best Western Plus St. Simons

The room was nice and spacious, but we did find a couple of dead roaches. The pool was nice. Breakfast was good.

Didn't like the constant smell of smoke from cigars, weed, cigarettes all around the property. There was a couple of families that were very loud and would yell across the property at each other.

We like the location of this hotel and that they offer breakfast. Our room was a king suite and a great size.

There were no pool towels and the mini fridge in our room hardly worked. We had the temp set to the coldest but it barely kept our drinks cooler than room temp. The TV's look like smart tvs but will not allow you to connect to cast or allow netflix to work, so you are left with local cable channels only.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. My recent stay was highly frustrating due to a severe lack of basic room service and poor maintenance oversight.Housekeeping and Room Service BreakdownNo room servicing: Room service never came to service my room or pick up the trash during my entire stay.Front desk runs: I was forced to walk down to the front desk every single day just to request basic amenities like fresh towels, toilet paper, and shampoo.Room Damage and Safety ConcernsBroken furniture: When I opened the door to access the small refrigerator, the entire television stand panel and structure came completely off.Safety hazard: While maintenance did come to fix the stand, they left behind a sharp, old nail on the floor. Leaving hazardous debris behind is completely unacceptable and a major safety risk.For the price paid, you expect basic cleanliness, functioning furniture, and a safe environment. This hotel failed on all three fronts. I will not be returning

We stay with Best Western Plus when we visit St Simons Island. It is quiet and secluded.

We love it. I honestly can't think of anything we didn't like.

The Front Desk staff were very kind and accommodating. I was impressed with how clean and comforting the lobby area was. The hotel is being managed and maintained very well. That is why I do not need to choose another place to stay when I am on St. Simons Island!

The pool and hot tub were relaxing.

We could smell sewage strong in our room the first night we were there due to all the rain. I reported this to the staff when we checked out.

The bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable. Only complaint we had.

We really enjoyed our stay! The property is beautiful, surrounded by lush vegetation and lovely gardens, and we especially liked the pool and hot tub area, although unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to enjoy them. We traveled with our little dog, Maca, and everything was very pet-friendly and comfortable. The breakfast was also very good and a nice plus. We definitely want to come back and stay a few more days next time!

The only minor inconvenience was the Wi-Fi. We had to log in again quite frequently instead of reconnecting automatically. Other than that, we had a great experience.

The rooms where very clean, and very nice. The staff was very friendly,and very helpful. Location was perfect. Didn't have to travel far for fun or food!! I highly recommend Best Western plus!!!

From friendly staff at check in, great location to Beach, Shopping and Restaurants! Valerie did a Great job at Best Western Plus..for the Breakfast Buffet, I definitely made a new friend & look forward to seeing her on our next stays. Leanne, Manager of Houskeeping, was on top of it, and Kathy, mainly took care of our room and needs. We left, considering them, ( & all we met) as friends to see again ! The Pool was Beautiful and well maintained, daily. Mark & I loved our week there and can't wait to reckoned it to our friends looking for The PERFECT PLACE TO STAY ! Keep up, what you're doing & hope to see YOU ALL AGAIN SOON !

The bathroom door should have a latch to help keep it closed ! We'd liked to have a small table..rainy day or evening, to play cards, the frig door opened on wrong side, & could be bigger, if possible.

The pictures don't lie. The place is beautiful and the room was very good, the bedding and towels was upscale and the room was very clean 👌. The staff was very nice and made my stay the best, they realy made me feel like I was very important to them and not treated like anything less. The braekfast is fresh.

We hadn't planned on staying there when my wife told me we need to get a room. I went looking and I was lucky to find the best western plus the area where the hotel is located is very nice, which I guess should be expected from saint simon's island the breakfast was bear minimum, but it did have eggs. Sausage biscuit and gravy, you can make waffles it also had oranges apples for fresh fruit as well as cereal and milk the hotel had a very nice pool and hot tub. Only one elevator for the hotel, so I use the stairs a lot. Actually one night, I went to go into the stairwell, which was outside and something moved under my hand it happened to be a squirrel that ran upstairs that scared the c*** out of me

We had an awesome experience at this hotel and I will definitely be going again! The pool stayed clean and I can confirm that it got skimmed and cleaned every morning we were there. The location was a perfect drive to the beach to build up anticipation for the trip. The only things we had problems with while staying here was housekeeping not getting us the appropriate towels for showering and we couldn’t exactly get the tv to work because it wasn’t connected to the internet, so I would recommend bringing a console of your own if possible. But, overall, the trip was excellent. Everything was clean, the hostess was incredibly friendly and helpful, and we will be going back for another vacation!

Our 2nd time here and we love it, both times our experience was excellent! Staff was very helpful and so nice, rooms were perfect and the breakfast was great, no complaints what so ever, will definitely be back.

Great pool & hot tub and good breakfast that wasn't the same everyday. We loved the biscuits and gravy and the regular sausage. Had an amazing coffee machine in lobby 24 hours a day. The staff were all friendly and housekeeping checked to make sure our room was clean.

The staff there are really kind and we are thankful for that. The room had some issues. The sink wouldn’t drain well, the air conditioning units kept leaking on the floor and the floor really needed a good mop. So many stains and crumbs. I hope the next time we are there, it’ll be a little cleaner.

The room was dirty - the floor was FILTHY and there were dead bugs on the floor. The shower curtain rod was barely attached to the wall. The bathroom faucet is positioned too far from the sink and water runs all of the counter if you have it on a trickle. Several electrical outlets were blocked by furniture making them unusable. The A/C unit was incredibly loud.

Great decor. Friendly staff. The king suite was spacious and comfortable. The bottom floor rooms in front of the pool are noisy innthe morning. The room was extremely clean. The breakfast bar is good, but the cereal choices are very limited. 24 hr coffee is amazing! Fast free wifi! It is central on SSI and close to everything. I feel I got my money's worth.

We were there for the celebration of life for my Boss . It was also mine and my wifes 40th anniversary celebration and She loved and enjoyed the hot tub and the pool as well. The girl working the desk when we checked on friday evening was awesome.

The fact that we had to leave sunday and go back home to get ready for the work week.

Management turnover. Parking lot was filthy. Pool area was filthy The pool water looked murky. Was told that the pool service was only Wednesday and Friday or 2 days a week. Also lost us as a customer. We had been going there for 4 years and because we were concerned about the property. New manager told us that we would have to find other accommodations that she canceled our next visit Labor Day weekend. And also my friends that had reservations as well that weekend. And also the breakfast was minimal and she was acting as the cook and the manager. We have found other accommodations and hopefully the hotel will withstand the customers opinions and their concern as well. I think it was a poor pissed decision to cancel us out. But that’s ok. It will be ok. We were only voicing our opinion because we noticed something was not right as we pulled into parking lot. If the property is not kept up. Best Western will lose a lot of customers. It will become run down and look like a dump. That’s my personal opinion. Apparently the new manager does not like constructive criticism. Thank u and have a great day!!!!!

Outstanding experience overall. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We showed up with a kids baseball team and they handled it so well. We loved the pool, kids had so much fun.

Every employee at the Best Western hotel on St. Simons Island was friendly, kind, and genuinely helpful. It's becoming rare to find hotels that still offer complimentary breakfast, so the delicious breakfast served each morning was a wonderful and welcome surprise. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely choose this hotel again!

We have been staying at this Best Western for 10 years, and we love it! The staff are always great and helpful. The breakfast is amazing. We have been in many of the rooms and love them all. The pool area is peaceful and beautiful!!! It takes less than five minutes to drive to town!!! Love Love

The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. They changed the towels and trash daily, unless you had the privacy sign on the door.

I liked the price, but…

…I got what I paid for. We had to use Raid thanks to the bugs that kept coming in. The sheets, blankets and towels had stains. There were no plates and very few bowls one morning for breakfast. Folks were eating from napkins, which also ran out. So is the “plus” for “plus” bugs, “plus” stains, “plus” issues at breakfast, etc?

We choose Best Western hotels usually because they have exterior doors and that is convenient for our dogs. Very pretty pool area and hot tub, which the jets were not working. Air conditioning was noisy but I would stay there again.

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was cozy, clean and well stocked with towels and amenities. The staff were super friendly, the breakfast was breakfast. The lady keeping breakfast stocked was awesome! Will definitely stay here on my next visit to St. Simon.

The room, I'm sure it was amazing when it was new because it's cute but it has so many details, even a fly was welcoming us 😔 , the AC is very noisel and the shower was clogged. When I talked to the guy at the reception, (night shift) he said there was nothing he could do, the fly was normal in the room, and for the shower, he needed to make a note for the day after, but it was never fixed anyway. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner. Personally, I also bought my soap. The elevator has an intense pet store scent 😄 I had to cancel a first booking, so when I made the second one, I double-checked the first one was canceled, but the hotel canceled my brother's. Thankfully, I had a cancelation number, and the girl at the reception in the morning was amazing and made the change. Also, they removed the late cancelation fee, which I HIGHLY APPRECIATE

I rented this resort again for one of my sons. It is the best place to stay on the island. The breakfast was a big hit, as always. Only thing, the hot tub wasn't working. But that was ok.. I will re-rent this for every family member that comes and sees me, Everytime.

This is probably the friendliest and warmest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. From the minute you walk in the lobby and are greeted by the person at the desk, to the staff making the breakfast, to housekeeping and anyone else you encounter they’re smiling and friendly and helpful and professional. I’ve stayed here a few times and it’s always been a pleasure. The rooms are clean and well cared for. There is a lovely pool area as well.

The hotel was in a very beautiful location, the room was nice and clean and the beds where extremely comfortable.

The swimming pool and hot tub needed to be cleaned, there was dirt and leaves all on the bottom of the pool and bugs floating on top.
