A collection of villas set in a stunning garden park rather than a single hotel block, which gives you real privacy and an atmosphere you won't find in a standard five-star. The staff are the standout — genuinely attentive, warm and quick to solve anything: they charged our car on request and came to collect us in town when we were caught in the rain. We ate in all the hotel restaurants and everything was delicious; the newest one is well worth booking. Our room in the main villa had a beautifully renovated bathroom and that timeless Italian character you come here for. Dog-friendly in the true sense — ours was treated as a guest. The gardens are incredible, and the other guests are unusually friendly, which adds to the family-villa feeling. Being family-owned shows in the standard of care.

Nothing that affected our stay — but worth knowing what you're booking. This is a historic, family-run villa estate, not a modern resort: entry-category rooms in the main house are on the smaller side and the style is classic rather than contemporary. Larger rooms and villa accommodation are available if space is a priority. The occasional small detail differs from a big international group, and for us that's a feature, not a fault.

Highly attentive and friendly staff, many areas in and around the hotel where you can sit, rest, relax and get food and beverage service, extremely nice beach club, quite. Breakfast buffet absolutely top. Food quality and choice on highest level.

Beautiful grounds. Spacious rooms. Helpful bellman. Staff reached out before our stay to ask if we had any specific requests which was highly appreciated. Bikes arranged for us by reception staff with no problem (beware the shop closes at 7 pm so if you’re looking for an evening rental let them know in advance)

The room we got was modern (unlike the classic style shown in photos) which was honestly a bit disappointing as it did not reflect the hotel’s historic beauty. Service overall was quite slow. More importantly, there is a huge price/value mismatch with this hotel unfortunately. The room had no amenities. No water no coffee machine no water boiler no toiletries. They charged us for things that should have been provided for free by a 5 star hotel! For example we requested a coffee machine to be brought to the room, they told us over the phone it would cost €3. At checkout we paid €25 for it which was ridiculous. On top of that, the coffee you order at breakfast is at extra charge :/ The beach club was nice but as hotel guests you have zero advantage over outside guests (except being able to send charges to your room) The hotel itself is beautiful but unfortunately these small details ruin what could be an amazing stay

The new building is connected to the beach club by an underground passage, which is very convenient and safe for children. The beach club itself provides everything you need for a comfortable stay and is well worth the price.

L’accueil, indigne d’un 5 étoiles. La plage payante. 1000€ la nuit et vous devez payer 170€ de plus (250€ le lendemain) pour accéder à la plage privée! Et encore, sur les plus mauvaises places (plus de 600€ en front de mer 🤷‍♂️). Rien d’indiqué sur booking 12 euros le petit pot de cacahuètes en mini bar. Très, beaucoup trop cher, pour la prestation proposée.

Our stay was truly exceptional and memorable. Everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were absolutely very polite, professional, attentive, and always willing to help. Every request we had was handled promptly and with great care. Their hospitality and dedication made our stay even more enjoyable. We felt genuinely welcomed throughout our visit and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an outstanding experience

The bed mattress wasn’t that comfortable although they changed it when we asked them.

I chose this hotel based on a friend’s recommendation, mainly because of its private beach. What I didn’t expect was that access to the beach comes with very steep extra charges — sunbeds start at €150 per day depending on their location. When you add this to the already high room rates, the value just doesn’t add up. Reaching the beach is also inconvenient: you have to walk or get a cart across the street, which takes away from the “private beach” appeal. Once there, the food at the beach bar was disappointing and well below expectations. On the positive side, the hotel itself is stylish, the décor is beautiful, and the breakfast was excellent. However, our room was extremely small — we could barely open our suitcases — and the hotel layout feels scattered and oddly designed. Several other travelers told us that there are very good hotels right on the beach, closer to the city center, and at much more reasonable prices. Overall, hotel Augustus is chic and visually impressive, but between the cramped rooms, scattered design, hidden costs, and underwhelming beach experience, it doesn’t live up to what you pay.

The Augustus Hotel exceeded my expectations with its elegant charm and top-notch facilities. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring a smooth check-in and offering assistance whenever needed. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and beautifully designed, providing a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The hotel’s amenities were impressive, featuring a stunning pool area, a well-equipped fitness center, and a relaxing spa that offered a range of rejuvenating treatments. Dining options were excellent, with a variety of cuisines that catered to all tastes, served in a lovely atmosphere.

We don’t have enough wonderful things to say about our stay here. It was the final of our three stays in Italy and it was perfect in every way. The hotel grounds for starters are immaculate and expansive. All the plants and trees are grown in and so well taken care of. Parking was easy and our luggage was taken up to the room right away. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful as was the on demand hotel shuttle that takes you to town whenever you want. Our suite was spacious with a large wrap around balcony which we enjoyed. The breakfast was delicious and full of fresh and local options. The dinner and lunch were amazing as well. The hotel boasts one of the nicer gyms we have seen with brand new Technogym equipment. And finally, the beach club is a must. An easy walk from the main hotel and it has a wonderful restaurant which also offers delivery to your cabana. The grounds on the beach again were immaculate. We will definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was outstanding and it far exceeded my expectations. The location to the beach and the center of town was superb.
