Canalta Hotel Brooks

Everything was super!! We had a problem with the heating/v cooling system, but Alayna was great to resolve the issue.

There HAS to be instructions for the heating/cooling system. We were treated SO WELL by Alayna at night. Eva was great in the morning.

Heel schoon, prima prijs/kwaliteit.

Het hotel is wel wat gehorig, maar omdat het voornamelijk als doorreishotel wordt gebruikt, gaan de meeste gasten op tijd naar bed. Daardoor is het ’s nachts gelukkig rustig.

Great breakfast. We loved the bedding, super soft and comfortable. The room was really quiet. Excellent experience. No complaints.

The staff was great!!! The front desk staff when we checked in was very kind and made sure everything was comfortable and satisfactory for us. Breakfast was very good. The b’fast staff was attentive and very pleasant.

We could not stay in the hotel as they had double booked the room we initially booked to someone else. They only had a room with sofa bed while we reserved a double Queen bed room The staff was apologising and proposed to book a room in am hotel of the same chain next door But we had to pay extra for this new room as the new hotel was not having the same prices As this is the only city in the sector we were having no choice

Great staff, breakfast, and facilities. I know, it sounds a bit generic, but I actually mean it. The hotel is new and stylish, the pool is nice and clean (my kids said it was much better than the beach nearby), and the staff do their best to help you. A board game room for bad weather and high-quality coffee at the reception area (free of charge) are extra pluses, and I'm quite picky about coffee.

The only drawback, and the reason my review is not a 10, is paper-thin walls and doors that provide virtually no soundproofing. It takes just one family loudly coming back at midnight to ruin your sleep (including their kids excitedly running down the hall). This is beyond the hotel's power to control the level of respect some people pay to their neighbours, but my family was unlucky enough to have three (!!!) such families. (Kids staying up until midnight? Seriously?) Also, I could hear a guy two rooms down and across the hall sneezing. Back to my point about paper-thin walls. Again, very minor, but very annoying, especially when you're almost asleep.

Room was hot, air conditioning kept stopping when it got to 21°C and no matter what the thermostat was set otr changed to it would shut off and not cool the room off. Was very uncomfortable.

The pool was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful and my kids loved the game room! The breakfast was delicious!

It was crazy messy during morning breakfast. And your guests was really loud until the night. If you have a kids your trying to find nice and quiet place

The rooms were nice and clean.

Eyes were burning from chlorine in hot tub , need to fix the issue there, also breakfast was ok there was cross contamination with potatoes and bacon being together in one serving tray.

It was great value. Everything was very clean and modern. Comfortable bed and pillows.

Everything about this hotel makes the stay enjoyable. There are carts available at the door to move all the luggage of a family. The rooms are spacious and have a big comfy ottoman to put your feet up. There are plenty of outlets to plug in devices and chargers. The pool has a tube slide, and the cherry on top is a games room with board games and an arcade to enjoy with family and other guests. There's even a mini-puck room. My kids made friends with two other families and enjoyed the opportunity to hang out with them. Its' too bad we couldn't have stayed longer. There's a McDonald's and Montanas within short walking distance and the included breakfast offers practically everything. This is the place to stay in Brooks.

If there was any fault to find it would be that the fridge doesn't have a freezer section.

We really enjoyed our stay at Canalta Hotel. The room was very clean, breakfast was good, and the pool with the waterslide was a huge hit with the kids, they absolutely loved it! In the evening, we sat by the outdoor gas fireplace, which was a really cozy way to end the day. Overall, everything was great and we would definitely stay here again.

Everything about this stay was exceptional. Friendly staff, clean spacious rooms, a great breakfast, and the pool and waterslide were so much fun! The family games room was a fun bonus, as well. It was also a nice perk to have a discount at the Montana's, a 1 minute walk from the hotel.

Pool and hot tub were unavailable, but we had been advised in advance via email. We could hear the room above walking around quite early in the morning. Also the smell outside isn't pleasant due to a large feed lot nearby.

The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The staff were helpful and respectful. My kids enjoyed both the pool and the mini stick room! That was a great addition to the hotel especially for our hockey kids to give them somewhere to play rather than the hallways!

The proximity of location

I didn’t have any dislikes

The location was extremely convenient for our stay for a U5 hockey tournament we were attending in Brooks from Drumheller. Complimentary breakfast had an exceptional variety available and all hot items were very fresh. Thoroughly enjoyed this meal prior to our drive back home. The pool was lots of fun for the littles and a great way for them to release their energy. Absolutely would stay here again!

Breakfast was very well managed and the attendant was very friendly and efficient in cleaning off tables and making sure everything was fresh and well stocked. Nobody went hungry.

It was all good.

The pool and waterslide were the main attraction for the kids, but the 5 am breakfast was a game changer for traveling with a toddler. He’s an early riser and not being locked in our rooms early in the morning and able to get started on breakfast before the morning rush made a huge difference.

Very pleased to see the renovations taking place at this time. You will hold the standard as in "raise the bar" in Brooks for sure. Thanks to your Management, Staff and work crews.

We were unable to attend breakfast due to a time commitment.

Everything was just fine. We arrived just after midnight and there was someone at the front desk to greet us and do very prompt check-in.

Good hut pool and games were closed due to renos, Booking.com did not warn us before booking.

Show up to find that the pool is closed for renovations, which is the only reason i booked here for the kids. Despite no mention of this during booking there was no discounted rate for loss of services

Helaas was het zwembad en de fitness niet op tijd klaar voor renovatie. Bovendien hadden ze ook last gehad van de storm. Dat is overmacht
