Great National South Court Hotel

The room was clean. The staff welcoming and professional. The hydration station was really refreshing.

The pillows were too firm. The toilet seat was loose. The view from the window was less than expected.

Das Zimmer war sehr ungepflegt, das Bettlaken hatte einen Fleck, die Bettdecke hatte einen Riss. Der Fön ist total unpraktisch in der Schublade im Schreibtisch im Zimmer befestigt. Der Schreibtisch ist so niedrig, dass die Beine nicht mehr darunter passen, wenn man auf dem Stuhl sitzt, auch wenn man nicht groß ist. Es ist keine Lüftung im Bad, es bleibt nach dem Duschen stundenlang nass, auch wenn die Tür geöffnet ist. Daher wohl der merkwürdige und unangenehme Geruch nach Feuchtigkeit. Die Ablage im Bad ist vor der Toilette angebracht, gegenüber dem Waschbecken, wo eine Ablagemöglichkeit fehlt. Der Aufenthalt hat uns überhaupt nicht gefallen, wir würden nicht wieder hierher kommen und können das Hotel auch nicht empfehlen. Der hohe Preis war dafür in keiner Weise angemessen.

The location was good as my husband had an appointment at University Hospital Limerick which is only a few minutes away by car. Breakfast was nice and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

I thought the room and en suite were a bit dated and tired looking but for the purpose of our visit to Limerick it didn’t really matter.

Es un hotel muy viejo. Las habitaciones son antiguas y los muebles son muy viejos y rotos. Lo peor fue el baño, no estaba muy limpio y está completamente desactualizado. Bañera vieja, lavabo muy viejo, olores... Todo da una sensación de muy mala calidad y no es confrotable para estar.

The newpaper bed was comfortable but bed stuck in a corner the hotel is not very clean and noise outside window at three o clock

The breakfast no brown soda bread tea cold fruit in bowl didn't look fresh the room.was dark for breakfast I like light our bedroom the window broke and the decor needs updating water all over floor from shower

Un po lontano dal centro (20 minuti) e personalmente non ho trovato molto comodo il letto, però solo io, le altre due persone che erano con me lo hanno trovato comodo.

Excellent base for touring the south west of Ireland. Easy to find, close to the motorway, grocery, chemist and reasonably priced fast food nearly. Staff were lovely, good variety of cooked and continental breakfast. On the Bone restaurant did very good food. The hydration station in the hotel was used daily to fill water bottles. Room was a good size and well stocked with tea, etc. Fast wi-fi.

Bathroom in our room could do with a few minor repairs, but overall everything was functional and clean.

Have stayed in this hotel many times over the years whilst on business and have always found the staff very friendly and efficient, a very handy location with a good selection of food in the restaurant.

As always the South Court didn't disappoint. Brilliant, welcoming staff, the lobby is lovely and everywhere is spotlessly clean. The free parking is a great bonus too. Both The Curry House and Off The Bone serve great food. Highly recommend.

Fantastic hotel in a great location and spotlessly clean. Staff are so welcoming. We have stayed here many times visiting family in the area and would not stay anywhere else. Food in Off the Bone is great.

Hotel location

Paper thin walls so very disturbed night and kept awake until 2 in the morning. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you want a good nights sleep

Stayed there recently for a work event.staff were lovely. Room service was delivered quickly, and food was tasty.

My mother and I had a wonderful, relaxing stay and had nothing to worry about due to the well-ran hotel it is!

Staff is friendly and helpful in general.

No hot water for the first night. Rooms are not well soundproofed, and someone had been quite noisy in the corridor during the night.

Stayed here for a concert Great offer available B&B, 2 course dinner( great choice offered and it was delicious) shuttle bus .I'll be back again definitely...staff were so nice friendly and helpful. Room so comfortable

Had a lovely Birthday Meal in Off The Bone back in March. The food was delicious! Loved the Ribs & Wings Board & the Banana Colada. The staff are so friendly! In particular Elizabeth, Liliana & Aundrea.

Very accessible location from the M20, plenty parking in close proximity to hotel entrance. Spacious, airy lobby area, relaxed atmosphere. We were 3 adults and the room was perfectly sized for the 3 individual beds. No bedside locker for third bed which was understandable but missed it. Extra towels had been supplied. Full menus for onsite restaurants were in the room which we appreciated. We booked direct with hotel and got B & B for 3 adults for the price of room only in next closest priced hotel in that area. Our room, bathroom and all public areas we accessed were spotlessly clean and well maintained. We had no issues with any noise disturbance, our stay was restful. The highlight for us was the friendliness & helpfulness of all service staff, even those obviously going on/off duty whom we crossed paths with were courteous and friendly. The food in the Gastro bar was delicious for dinner and breakfast.

My stay at the great national south hotel was truly amazing from start to finish I can't compliment the staff there enough from reception to bar restaurant and room attendants they were all a pleasure to deal with and I have to mention the bar and restaurant staff who were after putting in a long day were still smiling and polite at midnight my room was spotlessly clean and spacious and the grounds around the hotel were although not huge were maintained to a high standard the whole atmosphere around the hotel was warm and friendly. We had a lovely breakfast the following morning with again lovely staff and a great choice to suit everyone. The location of the hotel is not ideal as you aren't within a reasonable distance to the city centre but it didn't affect us as we were going to a concert in thomond park and the hotel had a shuttle service laid on for an extremely low cost. I would highly recommend this hotel especially if you are going to a concert or event in the city as I'm sure the shuttle will service is an option. The value for money is excellent considering hotels in the city were nearly double the price with no breakfast included. I had a wonderful night's sleep in the south court and I would definitely stay again.

Dated bedroom, bathroom in need of major refurbishment as some tiles were cracked, paint on the bathroom door was yellowed and peeling, cover on the vent and bath sealant were brown with age. There was no hot water all evening

I recently stayed at the Great National South Court Hotel for business and had a fantastic experience. The room was one of the new Club Rooms, one of the best hotel rooms I have stayed in. The staff were exceptional throughout my stay, friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The food was another highlight. I had dinner in Off the Bone Gastropub, and the quality was outstanding. The menu had a great selection, the service was excellent, and breakfast the following morning was equally impressive with plenty of fresh options. The hotel is in a great location with plenty of free parking, making it ideal for business travellers.

All the staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and polite. The man at reception was very nice and very helpful. The hotel is easy to get to from the motorway. The food is delicious and a good selection and price. The hotel entertainment in the bar that night was amazing. If they’re not regulars then they should be. Brilliant musicians and singers and interacted well with the audience in the bar.

Stayed here recently attending an event , great value concert package . The room was spacious & clean , beds very comfortable . We had breakfast & dinner included , good bar food & service was very friendly , portions decent . Complimentary parking which is a great bonus . Overall very impressed & would stay again .

I stayed at the Great National South Court Hotel in Limerick for two nights, from 24 to 26 June, and had a very pleasant experience. The night porter was especially helpful, as I needed to arrive and leave during the night. The hotel also has a large car park, which made parking very easy. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a fantastic bed that provided an excellent night’s sleep. The hotel restaurant was also very good and convenient after a long day. Overall, a good and comfortable hotel with helpful staff. I would definitely recommend it.

We arrived down to the National Great Southern hotel on the Lewis Capaldi concert package. From the moment we checked in, the Staff could not have been any more friendly and helpful. The package included 2 course meal, a cocktail transfer to and from Thomand Park and Breakfast. Transfers to and from the Concert were excellent. The Concert finished at 10pm and we were back at the Bar for 11, where there was live Music which was excellent and at one stage everyone was either Dancing or singing, including Staff, which is a great thing to see. All in all it was great value for money and we will definitely be back for another Concert and Stay.

Location, options for food, room size, staff. my father was in hospital nearby and I wanted to stay close for a couple of nights , my first day checking in when asked was I there for work and I mentioned my dad, I was upgraded to a suite which was a lovely gesture after such a long day.
