Best Western Plus Oceanside Inn

Our stay at Oceanside Inn (Best Western) started very well. Robert at the front desk gave us a warm welcome and kindly waived the early check-in fee. Everything went smoothly until after we checked out. A few hours later, I realized we had accidentally left three jackets hanging in the closet. I called immediately. Todd was very helpful, checked the room himself (there had been no guests after us), and suggested I call the next morning in case housekeeping had set them aside. The next day, Beth told me housekeeping hadn’t found anything. I asked her to check again because I was certain the jackets were there, but I never received a follow-up. Later, I spoke with the manager, Carolina, who simply repeated that nothing had been found. I asked if they could review the security cameras, as three jackets don’t just disappear. Instead of showing concern, she laughed and said there was nothing they could do and that it was my responsibility. Two of the missing jackets were matching Brazil National Team jackets that my husband gave our son as a birthday gift. They were very special to us. I also filed a report with iLeftMyStuff.com but received no response. What disappointed me most wasn’t just losing the jackets—it was the complete lack of empathy, accountability, and effort to investigate. Because of how this was handled, I give this experience zero stars and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Guests should be able to trust that lost belongings will be handled honestly and professionally.

Where do I start? 3 days of absolutely no internet connection. The room was not very clean to start. The corridors are absolutely filthy. The carpets should have been replaced 10 years ago. It is obvious that they have not been cleaned / shampooed in many years. One elevator was broken (and looking at the sign, its probably broken for years). The other elevator works but is the slowest elevator I have ever encountered. Furthermore it is very choppy as it stops so likely long overdue for service. You get this uneasy feeling of getting stuck in the elevator any minute. Hot water was insufficient. The toilet barely flushes , if you don't hold the lever for a very long time it does not flush at all. It costs $200 to replace the entire toilet alas, they keep the malfunctioning toilet in place. The AC unit sounds like a jet plane making it really hard to fall asleep. This also should have been replaced years ago. The towels are of low quality and they smelled bad. To add insult to injury. I requested a late checkout to noon so that I can attend the conference and take my bag after the conference and they said no (the male employee in the morning wearing earrings is belligerent in his attitude). So I had to miss out on an important presentation so I can return and retrieve my bag.

The front desk clerk Tracey was phenomenal. Such a delightful heartwarming personality. She made our stay!

Tiene un pequeño bar muy hermoso pero su menu es costoso..en el tiempo que estuve en la piscina no vi ningun huesped hacer ordenes.

How the bathroom looked

Check in was great. Tracey was the best. She gave me the best orient to the property, even walked me down the hall to show me where to enter back into lobby after parking. During breakfast, Scott was attending and he really is a gem. We only stayed one night before we flew home but the interactions with Tracey and Scott made this a memorable stay. They both are assets and should be rewarded for going above and beyond. Our Room overlooking pool was cool.

Only one Elevator, tiny bathroom in room, water damage on bathroom door. Had to pay to park in their parking garage. A/C in room didn’t get cool enough, it kept us from sweating at least.

Me gusto mucho la habitación era con vista a la piscina. La habitación muy cómoda muy limpio el hotel el personal muy amable de echo mi inglés es un poco malo y ellos con mucho respeto tuvieron paciencia y me ayudaron .

Realmente no sé qué decir q no me gustó … porque la pasé muy bien .

Chambre agréable, jolie décoration, propre. Proximité de la plage. Accueil chaleureux du personnel de la réception, la politesse des femmes de ménage, merci à eux !

J'ai été particulièrement déçue de cette étape. L'hôtel a clairement besoin d'être rénovée et les équipements renouvelés. Les espaces communs extérieurs ne sont pas du tout à l'image des photos Booking. Vieillots, abimés, sale (l'espace fumeur à l'arrière de l'hôtel fait clairement peur). C'est dommage car l'établissement à du potentiel mais pas exploité. Le balcon de notre chambre ne donnait pas envie de s'y installé pour se détendre : peinture écaillée, vieux mobiliers, dont une baie vitrée donne sur les ascenseurs ! Une galère pour se garer pour faire le check-in.

Me gustó la ubicación del hotel, el desayuno y la atención del señor que ayuda en el buffet en las mañanas. Se nota su ausencia cuando no está.

No me gustó que nadie del personal hablara español. Se dificulta pedir indicaciones cuando no se maneja inglés fluido.

O estilo do banheiro com porta de vidro, impossível ter privacidade.não gostei deste estilo. Outra coisa que impede o descanso, o som dos restaurantes do hotel e vizinhos começam com som além do normal , chega a incomodar, um pouco alto das 8 h da manhã até a meia noite, quem quer descansar,nao é bem complicado. O café da manhã é serviço a la carte… gostoso , porém com escolhas bem restritas..

On the second day, I found a roach and they need to do upkeep on the bathroom.

Staff was really friendly especially Mr Scott super sweet a little chat every morning was good to start the day. The breakfast was good kids loved the pool...beach is just a 2min walk we had a good vacation Bed was really comfortable 🩷

Personally I think parking should be included or at least be cheaper 😅

La ubicación era muy buena y también el desayuno. Prácticamente acceso directo a la playa desde la parte posterior del hotel.

Había mal olor en algunos sectores (uno de los ascensores y pasillos). La habitación tenía microondas pero nada de vajilla apta para su uso por lo cual era prácticamente imposible usarlo, al menos para preparar alguna comida sencilla

Hotel necesita mantenimiento. En general el mobiliario esta desgastado. La cama es cómoda. Agua caliente y aire acondicionado funcional. Nada para destacar de la habitación ni de los espacios del hotel. El desayuno es adecuado, variado y abundante para los esperado. El gimnasio no esta bien equipado. La ubicación es excelente. El personal del frot dexk y del desayuno fue amable.

La limpieza es demasiado básica y se siente insuficiente, el mobiliario viejo y el gimnasio. Me parce costoso para el tipo de servicio.

The pool kept closing early? All 3 nights we were there it closed at least 2 hours before they said it would.

Great location, good breakfast, extremely pleasant staff. We enjoyed the balcony even though it wasn’t a great view.

Rooms were not clean. I woke up to a fake eyelash stuck to me in my bed, which neither of us wear. There was hair in the soap holder in the bathroom and the floors weren’t very clean. Elevator is very sketchy.

Ofrecen sillas y quitasoles. Cuando las solicité me dicen que no tienen. Ir a la playa sin quitasol es realmente una tortura.

Das weitere Personal war extrem unfreundlich und hat es noch nicht einmal für nötig gehalten unser Good Morning zu erwidern, noch uns überhaupt anzuschauen. Das Hotel ist für eine Nacht ok, wir werden jedoch nicht mehr dort zu Gast sein. Die Klimaanlage pustet direkt gegen das Bett, was dazu führt das diese quasi unbrauchbar ist, wenn man im Bett liegt.

Rm: 322 Double queen: clean and neat AC, TV & Heat worked perfectly! Room window view was not good but that didn't matter. Breakfast was wonderful and the location was excellent! 7- 10 min walk to Las Olas Beach 2.5 mins Drive. I felt very comfortable with 3 small people and me. Overall, it was fine and would do it all over again!

I just wanted to reach out and say how much I enjoyed my time recently. Honestly, everything was great, but I especially wanted to highlight how much I loved hanging out by the pool it was truly refreshing and the perfect spot to unwind. Beyond that, the entire team really made the experience wonderful with their super friendly attitudes. I wanted to give a special shoutout to Cristina, who was behind the bar. She was incredibly sweet and polite every time we chatted, and her lovely demeanor really brightened my day! She's truly a gem.

We had such a wonderful time overall, and we truly enjoyed our stay! Everything was absolutely lovely. The only thing we wanted to mention, and it's really just a minor observation, is that we did notice a few little bugs decided to share our room with us during our visit.

El aseo en ascensores y pasillos debiera mejorar, el aseo de las piezas se lo saltaron 2 de 6 días y hubo que pedirlo en recepción.

Les chambres sont spacieuses à l' exception de la salle de bain mais qui reste fonctionnelle. La salle de déjeuner est sympa. Le personnel est agréable. Parking sécurisé.

J'ai trouvé les abords de la piscine pas très propres. Dechets laisser par d' autres clients sur les tables des transats.
