To the Sugar Bay team, thank you for making my stay a pleasant one. I truly enjoyed my time at your hotel in Saint Kitts. The only thing I wished for was that my room could have been a little closer, as the distance from the main areas was quite a walk for me. Other than that, my room was clean, neat, fresh, and smelled wonderful. I was also very impressed with the receptionist at the front desk. I unfortunately don’t remember her name, but she was professional, understanding, friendly, and extremely helpful with communication. She is definitely a top-tier receptionist and deserves recognition for the way she treated guests. One thing I would mention for future guests is the pricing through Booking.com. The initial price shown does not always include all the taxes and fees, so if you are traveling on a strict budget, keep in mind that the final amount at check-in may be a little higher. Overall, I had a great experience. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but everything was still clean and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised that we didn't experience any loud noise or major disturbance from the work. If I return to Saint Kitts with my family, I would definitely stay at Sugar Bay Hotel again. Great location, we rented a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit with kitchen, dining and living space.

Cest un peu vieux mais c'est bon pour les gens qui ont besoin d'un endroit de petit prix . C'est comme un quality inn trois étoile. Je crois qu'ils font une rénovation de l'établissement.

It was a central location where everything can be found. Shops, restaurants, everything

The only negative was breakfast, Lunch nor dinner was included with this stay. But don't worry there are lots of food stops very close by. The biggest issue was the smell of the seaweed. So strong you can smell it slightly in the rooms.

I did not take the breakfast since it was off the premises.

Room a little tired

The first room was not nice at all. Dark, facing walls when sitting outside and personal items were stolen from our balcony. The next room was much better, facing the garden.

Management did not care, when we reported the missed items. Not a slite sorry or understanding, how dissapointing it was for us.

The location is perfect. Walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets, and the Frigate Bay beach. Short drive to the airport and ferry terminal in Basseterre, and the Timothy Hill attraction is very close. You can walk, but it's along the highway. It's very easy to get a taxi, even without the help of the hotel staff. The taxi stand is a short walk from the hotel. The room was very spacious and clean, equipped with a very nice kitchen... microwave, fridge, coffee maker, kettle and stove, with cutlery. It was a nice surprise.

The only downside for me was the presence of those noisy lizards associated with the Caribbean. As a Caribbean national myself, I really dislike them, but in the tropics with beautiful weather and flowering plants, I suppose it's expected.

The location was great. There was a small grocery store and lots of restaurants to choose from.

I was happy with the location. Especially as its close to all the shops and food establishments. Lovely people. The cottages are lovely and cleaned every morning. Gardens are looked after very well.

The only thing's that would have been nicer is if the beach was cleared of the seaweed, even if just a little by the opening and repair to the entrance in to the beach itself as the steps are a little dangerous. Also there could be some shelves in the warddroves in the cottages as the one top level is really and too hight to reqach without stepping on a chair. But overall we loved it at sugar bay.

The location is perfect. I had a sea view room looking right at the sea. The staff were super friendly, the room was big and comfortable with all the amenities you could want: small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The patio came with basic furniture and the bed was a king and very comfortable and the room was cleaned daily. The main pool was lovely and there were several smaller ones as well. The beach was right there but I did not want to swim in that rough water, but the beach was very walkable. Also, although the hotel has no restaurant, there are numerous choices of restaurants within walking distance.

Although the location beach side is perfect, it comes with the usual problems of deterioration from the constant assault of the salt air. Some blocks are being renovated, but some parts still need some upgrading/ renovating. Rust is a major problem which they need to keep up with.

We had ocean view . It overlooks the beach and the breeze came in so we didn’t need air conditioning. Also housekeeping did a great job everyday getting the room cleaned.

Some of the units need updating. Also the beach on the property was dirty with plastic bottles and fishing nets and gear strewn around.

Well manicured grounds. They had 4 pools, lots of options - they provide pool towels and all other linen. Beach was a 10 min walk, calm and clean, perfect for kids in Frigate Bay. There was no breakfast, but you could buy vouchers at the hotel with your room for the value of USD$16 to redeem at Rituals. The restaurants are right next to door and a short walk away (2 mins), a variety of food is available. I bought no vouchers so I would have the freedom of choosing where and when I could eat. There was a mini mart on the compound where I bought bread, cheese, drinks, fresh fruits, it's equipped with all essential eats and drinks, if you don't want to spend the earth. Very convenient. Lots of eating places - Wok and Roll - delicious Thai/Chinese food. Indian restaurant integrated in Hotel, Lebanese and Sushi place and Pizza Boys. Our last night we went to Rock Lobster 5 min walk away delicious but a little pricey. Most place accept credit cards and you need to have cash for souvenirs and taxis. There was an ATM in our hotel, but I didn't use it.

Room service was good, but could be better in making up beds fully..(out of habit I always just pull the sheets over) and neaten up. Supplies/ Toiletries can be replenished, but there were very helpful once you asked. No major complaints.

Staff was excellent. Super friendly. I opted to do included breakfast and the give you a credit to to cafe next door. You can get everything and the portions are great. The location is great, everything is close by and the taxis are inexpensive

Clean and neat, well maintained.

One particular day the water was not available for 2 hrs in the morning around 5 am.

Place needs to be renovated. Courtyard torn up the garden view is actually a 3 grill view. Jacuzzi don’t work. Had 5 laundry dryers but only one worked was told they were awaiting parts. Staff was very very very nice and is located near the happening scene in Brigette Bay. Overall pictures shown during booking is not what you will see when you arrive.

We are about to Check-out , We can Say Everything when Well , We have no complaints or issues with our stay ...The Pools were Very Clean , Room Service was every day ...

Staff were very helpful, after initially putting us in an upstairs room backing onto several very large and noisy industrial restaurant extractor units. Moved us to another location and then sorted out broken toilet and TV. Was a great location for restaurants and bars on the strip.

Hotel was very run down and had a lot of building work being carried out. Room toilet and tv were broken and the beach was completely unusable, firstly with no swimming signs warning of the dangerous currents and huge mountains of rotting seaweed that absolutely stank and made any access to the water impossible.

A good base from which I could explore the island. Frigates Bay is well serviced with a number of excellent restaurants and in fact the “Indian Cuisine “ located above the reception of the resort produces wonderful Indian dishes definitely worth checking out

There are no restaurants or bars on property, however, plentiful off property.

It is a quiet place with dinning options within walking distance. There is beach access but you can not get in the water. The staff are exceptionally nice and helpful.

. It was quiet calm very peaceful setting. When in need of assistance service was readily and available. Was cozy and comfy atmosphere.

We loved our stay here, the property wa nice and spacious! The staff were lovely as well, definitely recommend!

The only negative was there was no a/c in the main living area and kitchen of the cottage. A/c was solely in the bedrooms. It was sweltering hot. Pools were nice. Good eating nearby, recommend Rock Lobster.

Great hotel, clean, friendly and helpful staff. Shop on site, close to beach, bars, restaurants. What more could you ask for, will definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything! 🫶🏾

It was quiet and safe!

This property have absolutely everything you needed. It is outdated but everything you needed is in the room. The staff is very nice and helpful for all requests. It is a grocery store with duty free drinks right by the entrance. Two pools are clean. Please note that hotel is located on Atlantic site which has A LOT of see weed and the water is rough but you have a frigate strip by 10 min walk from the property that offer public beach with the crystal clear water. Also recommend the other beaches but it will be a cab ride for 25 dollars. Rock Lobster and Boozies restaurant were my favorite and a close proximity. Overall, the stay was pleasurable.

Breakfast at the sweet & savory spot up the road towards the Marriott was remarkable. Definitely have to eat there again!

We loved the free style outdoor pool. The landscaping was beautiful.

The hotel is nice but a little outdated compared to others. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The air conditioning was perfect! There is no bar / shop in the hotel but plenty just outside. I would recommend and stay again.

The staff were, almost to a person, excellent. Because I am slightly handicapped, they went out of their way to help me and make my stay comfortable and easy.

I wish there had been breakfast on the property.

My stay was smooth and pleasant. The facilities are great. I loved the room with the view at the pool and the garden. It included the essentials (coffee machine, water heater, micro, fridge) , wifi was overall great , there is an atm inside the hotel which I was happy to use as it was compatible with my revolut card. Frigate public beach is nearby , a big super market is 5' walk from the hotel and there are plenty options around the hotel regarding food. The staff was great as well ! I met a few very kind and always willing to help front desk ladies who answered all my questions with a smile.

The price was of value for the property. The facilities in the 'studio' apartment were basic but ok.

I would consider the plugs in the kitchen. I was unable to plug in toaster and kettle safely. It would be great to develop a small beach area for seating but I also saw ow difficult that might be. No need to wash all the towles everyday but I had no sign I could put on the door .

Excellent location! Nice pools. Good price for the area. Stayed in 2 bedroom villa and it was very nice! Some maintenance is needed on the property but overall it is a nice, budget friendly property that I would return to again.

I didn't like the fact that I had to leave a deposit after I paid for the room. However, I did enjoy my staying there!

The property does not look like the pictures. It needs a lot of updates. There is no beach on the property like the pictures show, rocks everywhere and no way to get down to the area of the “beach”. The staff were friendly, the pools were nice

This property needs a general renovation. It’s in a very good location but it has never upgrade in over 15 to 20 years. Staying for a night yes but to enjoy a vacation stay, NEVER

I booked the studio so I'd have a kitchen. Loved that the small grocery store was right outside reception to purchase food to make during my stay. Saved a lot of money. Bed was very comfortable. Room was outdated but it was nice.

The place seemed run down. The lawn was not mowed. The reception building looked run down. It felt a little seedy at times.

all was good, the staff was friendly and helpful, room was comfortable, only stayed one night, didn't try the breakfast or food.
