We have been here many times, we love it. It’s such a great little long weekend escape in winter and summer. Always plenty to do here. They have bikes available, tennis court, great pool and gym, not to mention the great walks around the area and the beautiful beach. The rooms are like little tree huts set in the most beautiful bush. The rooms are also clean, comfortable and very private . Restaurant is great too.

Breakfasts were great. The heated floor in the bathroom.

No parking near our unit.

Everything. Perfect romantic getaway for us. Restaurant and bar are fantastic. Good location , easy parking. Check in staff are so lovely. Love the 11am check out time.

L'accueil, l'emplacement, la tranquilité, la propreté de la chambre, incroyable, magnifique. La serveuse qui s'est occupée de nous, au restaurant, pendant notre diner était très serviable, très gentille, souriante. C'est de plus en plus rare dans le domaine de la restauration

La personne qui nous a accueilli au restaurant était un peu froid, pas accueillant du tout.

This is my happy place in the forest . It is very special to wake up in the rainforest with a bellbird singing among other birds.The bed was very comfortable. Our dinner was lovely although very expensive.

Amazing hotel resort with an incredible restaurant, very welcoming staff and all kinds of facilities to use. A great getaway that makes you feel so far away from the city, so peaceful and serene. Each of the rooms is in its own treetop cabin

Traumhafte Lage, wunderschöne Chalets im Wald. Sehr freundliches Personal, gutes Restaurant. Nur 5 Minuten vom Strand entfernt, beheizter Pool un Tennisplatz. Wir hatten nur 2 Nächte und wären gerne länger geblieben.

Very quiet and room was above expectations. Loved the towel warmer and under floor heating.

We have just finished our stay at the Grand Mercure Puka Park Resort, Pauanui Beach, which is part of the Coromandel Peninsula, a two hour drive from Auckland. Instead of hotel rooms, they have spacious cabins set in bushland. The staff couldn't help us enough, the food and facilities were excellent, the first thing that stood out was how clean the facilities and cabins were. We had such a good stay, we will be back soon.

コロマンデルあたりの海を車で巡るのにいい立地でした。 ご飯はブッフェ形式でした。種類は多くありませんが、美味しかったです。 お部屋は綺麗で私の泊まった部屋は2人部屋が、隣り合っていました。家族4人で両方の部屋を使ったので、他の人の部屋からは距離もあり、他の人のことを気にせずに過ごせました。レストランなど他の設備から部屋に行くには外に出ないといけないですが、スタッフに言えば送迎もしてもらえます。 一番よかったのは日本語を話せるスタッフさんがいて、近くのおすすめビーチを教えてもらえたのがとてもよかったです。（教えてもらったビーチは最高に綺麗でした）

近くに飲食店はあまりなさそうでした。 ちょっと扉の開け閉めの音とかが大きく部屋に響いたのが気になりました。

Amazing facilities and such a unique hotel. We loved it. Room was perfect and balcony amongst the trees was so nice.

It is on a steep hill but they have golf carts to help transport guests up. Not a negative just an fyi.

The cabins are in a great position in the forest. They are kept to a good standard. Were clean and well presented. Sadly the food was not great and could be so much better in a place with such a lovely location and lodges. The Sunday buffet is particularly poor. The à la carte weekday menu is better. There are some good eateries down in Pauanui. Breakfast is mediocre. The little frankfurter type sausages à particular low point! The pool is nice and not busy, also the free laundry facilities à big plus. The staff were friendly but did not seem too knowledgable about the area.

We have stayed at Puka park at Pauanui many times and love it. On this trip we met many new staff they could not be faulted. From the front desk Heather, Lauren,Said, and Stef they were fantastic could not do enough for us and a special mention for the maintence Manger Grant who is obviously well respected by all other staff helped me get my foldable electric in the boot of my car way outside his job description also made sure I got back to my room on top of the hill.You will read reviews of the hill go and see the front office staff for a lift in the golf cart and they seem love getting out of the office to get in the beautiful fresh air of the rain forest. No one every moaned about having to take exactly the opposite. Thank you Puka Staff see you Anzac weekend. Tony Scott

Room was lovely, bed was nicely firm and cushy bath robe provided. We ate in the restaurant which had been highly recommended. My lamb was tasty and a smallish portion, while my husband’s venison was a very small portion. The sauces were very skimpy in volume. Too small. The portion sizes of the accompanying veggies/ potatoes was very stingy. We tried dessert which was lovely, but again was way too stingy a portion, especially for 25$NZ. We left hungry. Would not recommend dining here.

Wir waren positiv überrascht das jeder Gast sein eigenen kleinen Bungalow hatte. Es waren große Zimmer. Wir haben uns Fahrräder vom Hotel ausgeliehen um die Gegend ein wenig zu erkunden. Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend vorhanden.

Der Kaffee aus dem Automaten ging überhaupt nicht. Haben uns am nächsten Tag einen Cappuccino beim Personal bestellt. Der war in Ordnung-- diesen musste man selbst zahlen.

The location is fabulous, however, the steps to the room gets old. A lot of up and down. I was in room 14. I suggest getting the rooms on the lower side of drive. The setting in the woods was excellant.

Steps. As I age, I dislike exterior steps to the rooms. There were 20 or more and getting to everything required more steps.

We loved our accommodations beautifully surrounded by nature.

Beautiful scenery and a nice pool and tennis court. Lovely cabins.

Had a 5 course dinner at the restaurant and only one course was good. Staff rather confused and disorganised (although nice) during most service. Had to review all charges and correct.

Very steep walk to the room although they did offer a buggy service that we could have used but did not.

La situación es inmejorable, la piscina está muy bien y hay muchas facilidades por parte del hotel, de hecho nos han ofrecido palas para la playa, toallas y mucha información útil para nuestra estancia. Un agradecimiento particular a Anna.

El desayuno es algo pobre, con calidad pésima del café y poco donde elegir. Nuestra cabaña era de las más altas y no era tan fácil acceder, sobretodo con las maletas. La estructura en general es algo antigua y no hay posibilidad de elección de otro restaurante o bar en el pueblo. Las camas son de sofá, me esperaba algo mejor

Super Anlage im Wald. Zimmer sind wie in Baumhäusern angelegt und sehr gross. Im Bad war sogar ein beheizter Handtuchhalter und Fussbodenheizung. Geschirr vorhanden. Grosszügiger Balkon und beheizter Pool mit kostenlosen Handtüchern. Super freundliches Personal und tolles Frühstück. Wir wären sehr gerne länger geblieben.

Parkplatz etwas eng. Man kann das Zimmer nicht vollständig abdunkeln.

Locatie is op 10 minuten lopen van het strand. Restaurant is prima.

Wij hadden veel last van kevers. Die zijn er echter maar 2 weken per jaar. Pech voor ons dus.

Beautiful chalet in the trees. Lovely deck to enjoy the view. Nice size room and bathroom. Swimming pool and spa were great. Facilities were good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Food was average. More variety for cooked breakfast would be good especially if you stay longer than 2 nights.

Room size was good and located in the bush with a big balcony. Very quiet. Bathroom was great.

Supplied cups and plates with some cutlery but no sink, hob or microwave. Expected us to wash the cutlery in the bathroom sink. No full length mirror. Not enough lights. Tv programs were poor.

Beautiful oasis surrounded by lush forest and hills! Luxury accommodations in a treehouse setting. The staff were very helpful. The pool was wonderfully warm and the hot tub relaxing after a day visiting nearby sites and walking trails.

The pool had to be closed by 8 pm because light attracts Christmas beetles this time of year.

Staff were wonderful and very friendly. The place is in a fantastic location. It was comfortable, peaceful, and lovely being up in the trees.

The pool was under construction.

Restaurant couldn't cater for garlic/onion allergy. No attempt to find any alternatives and advised ALL food was pre prepared. Obviously a very average kitchen. Not even children's menu of fish and chips as they had garlic/onion seasoning. When complained the night before they promised to sort it but nothing changed

Fantastic location, free bikes, very good breakfast! Reception staff excellent and very accommodating. Well equipped rooms.

The pool was closed due to maintenance (unfortunately booking doesn’t give details to hotel so they couldn’t inform us). Dinner was average compared to a very good breakfast. Overall staff very polite and accommodating. Unfortunately due to a mistake on our side with the booking (only one person booked for breakfast). The breakfast staff called us out on this in front of all guests at the buffet, and although the situation was resolved very satisfactorily - we feel that discretion should be maintained when addressing this type of situation.

We were a bit surprised that our chalet was such a long way up steep steps! My husband has two artificial hips and really struggled!

The space was beautiful I like the setting being up in the hills.

Very restful setting. Wouldn't suit people with a cessibility issues although a buggy can be booked for transport to and fro. Comfortable and convenient accommodation.Great shower. Loved the private deck overlooking bush. Beautiful pool area. Would go again.

Tranquil setting, very tidy premises, amazing views and friendly staff. Thanks Heather and Zade for looking after us on our stay. Note to guests restaurant and in-room dinning closes at 8:30 currently and no robes or slippers available. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - we will be back for some more cedar hot tub!

The property was beautiful. I wish we had more time to explore the restaurant and bar but we were on a tight schedule.

I didn't like the parking. It may have been a detail I overlooked when booking, but you are forced to drive around to your cabin, unload, go park the car a distance away & hike uphill back to the cabin. After a very long day this is a bit of an inconvenience.

Great place to stay set in beautiful bush surrounds. Fantastic facilities with friendly and welcoming staff.

Wonderful place

One of the tree branches were touched our room’s roof, making noise during night time.

Enjoyed the facilities available however was disappointed by the fact that I booed a room with a king size bed and it was made up of 2 single beds joined together. Also instead of a king duvet we were given 2 single duvets which kept dislodging when we slept. My partner and I were very disappointed and frustrated as we specifically paid more to book this room and the Tv was not programmed so we could not even watch TV. Hopefully the hotel will get in touch and try to make amends.
