Facilities are great for a family stay with kids. Very Good pools. We were a party of 14 and it was a nice 3-day stay.
Restaurants food quality are less than average, and they are somehow expensive. Try to go for dinner outside the hotel.
Beautiful scenery
Water activities close (including outdoor pool) at 5pm.
Booking.com didnt make it clear that breakfast was included in the rate
the balcony
the ac was not working well and the tv not letting us play netflix
The breakfast buffet options were good but we ordered from the menu instead. The food was done to our specifications and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The facilities are well maintained and the amenities are ideal for all age groups.
We were there to celebrate a big birthday and it would’ve been nice if that could’ve been acknowledged and celebrated in some way by the hotel staff. Also, the onsite upscale restaurant only opens Thursday through Monday, so we had to go offsite to find one to have the birthday dinner.
Our room was missing a light filtering curtain. The room needs more proper lighting. Also, the phone in the room was not in working condition to call the front desk.
Great family stay! Wonderful views, beautiful pools, and great activities for kids all day. We had a blast and will be back.
It was very clean, friendly staff, exceptional customer service
It will be great if breakfast was automatically included
This was a good getaway close to home. The hotel staff was friendly, check-in was easy but the rooms could use a bit more cleanliness. The room smelled dirty and the bathroom floor had footprints on it. The headboard was worn/peeling. We ordered room service from Water's Edge. It was served in a cardboard box and no appeasing to the eye at all. Jade at kids camp was AMAZING!! My boys loved. She kept them busy and entertained while I enjoyed the spa. They didn't want to leave at pick up!! The spa was ok. Guests should be reminded the relaxation room is for relaxation. There were a group of inconsiderate women who were talking loudly about work which killed the entire vibe of a spa Day. My treatments were aromatherapy massage and facial. I was a little disappointed in my massage because the masseuse but my facial made up for it.
Beautiful resort, great service. Dog friendly, with special touches for our 4 legged family member, like a dog bed and treats
Relaxed at the spa which was delightful. Definitely do again we enjoyed the outside pool which is lovely the room was comfortable and clean
This place is worn out… Everything in the room was unacceptable… Rugs were frayed headboard on the bed was falling apart and had huge chunks of the vinyl backing gone the patio in our room that we paid top dollar for was full of weeds, mold, and had no privacy whatsoever.
This is the worst place to enjoy dinner or lunch. The experience was the worse The service in dinner at the water edge restaurant was deplorable and disgusting. I typically will give the benefit of the doubt but I can’t say that here.
We left some money for a tip for housekeeping in the AM and noticed that tip was gone when we came back from breakfast even though the room was not made and we were checking out soon. When we came home we discovered some expensive jewelry had been stolen from my wife’s bag. We only got a ‘sorry’ but no follow up while knowing someone when into our room with a key. Beware.
Exceptional ambience great location outstanding service Overall sprawling property with beautiful views. Rooms had wonderful water view and very well maintained.
The facilities are good, clean and we had a lot of fun. I am hesitant to return because I got a flat tire from the wooden bridges and did not realize it until I left. I went across the highway to Mr Tire and paid $116 for a new tire. The employees at Mr. Tire told me that nails from the wooden bridges have caused many flat tires that they often have to replace.
Superb
Pricey but worth it
We had a lovely time at the Chesapeake Bay Hyatt. The staff was warm, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed both cocktails and light dinner in the Michener Library. The room was spacious and clean. We had a light breakfast but did not look at the buffet so not sure about that. Overall it was a nice experience.
We had a great little weekend getaway. Really enjoyed the pool (they could use some more umbrellas for shade) and the cabana one day. Loved the 2 Queen Bed room with full balcony - sleeping with the screen door open for breeze felt great, room was clean and bright. Had some great meals in Cambridge. Looking forward to going back.
The rooms are comfortable and spacious. And very quiet. I never heard any noise from adjacent rooms or people walking in the hallway.
Everything is all in one place. Very convenient for multiple activities all in a close proximity
Facilities are a little worn down. Broken pool tiles. Ripped headboards on beds. Dead fish and washed up clothing laying on beach
Second time we stayed at the this resort. The property is beautiful. Staff is service oriented. Great place for family or couples trip.
This place is absolutely amazing for a family (kids 10 and 12) getaway. It has all the resort vibes and amenities you’re looking for. Really great and very clean pools. That said, it is severely lacking in the food and bev department. Overpriced, under seasoned food, and prepackaged/old poolside food. Plus missing several breakfast food items at the market…generally just a meh dining experience for all meals.
The resort and grounds are very well kept, tons of things to do so you're never bored, golf club is great, staff is super friendly and accommodating. Food and drinks were really good- lots of options on site and close by. We really enjoyed our stay!
🌟 Absolutely love our yearly trips back to the Eastern Shore of MD! 🌟 My husband and I both grew up here, and now that we live in Virginia, we can't resist bringing our kiddos for a "taste of home." 😍 It's always a delightful adventure with tons of fun activities for the little ones. 💖 Can't wait for our next visit! 🥰🎉

The pools
The adult pool has a partition where the kids can swim. Prefer to have an adult pool only. Taking into consideration that there is kids swimming pool and another indoor one for kids.
This was our second stay at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay and, unfortunately, our experience was very mixed. The positives first: our Petite Queen Suite was spacious and comfortable. However, the beds were quite small for ‘queen beds’. The recreational facilities kept our family entertained, and the premium parking option was absolutely worth it for the convenience. Unfortunately, the food and beverage experience fell far short of expectations. While the fly problem was slightly improved compared to our previous visit, flies were still everywhere throughout the property. At the breakfast buffet, there were dead gnats on the fruit, which raised serious concerns about food safety. Dinner in the main restaurant was disappointing- the food quality was poor, two different meals contained a hair, missing food items were never followed up on, and the servers often seemed unfamiliar with the menu or service procedures. The takeout window was consistently slow, and the main bar appeared dirty during our visit. This is a beautiful resort with great amenities and plenty of potential, but the dining operation needs significant attention. Better food safety practices, improved staff training, cleaner food and beverage areas, and more attentive service would make a tremendous difference. Until those issues are addressed, it's difficult to recommend the resort based on the overall experience.
Beautiful hotel and well kept grounds. Clean rooms. Beautiful riverfront. Olga the bartender. The hotel food was good.
We booked a king room but received a twin queen because there was an issue with the king room. They apparently had no other king rooms for us. We also did not receive compensation for the downgrade and the staff took forever to resolve. We were told the queen room would have a view of the water but we overlooked the parking lot. The hotel outside pool closes at 5 pm in the summer - not ideal for a hot summer day and evening.
This is my family’s 2nd stay and we loved it just as much as we did the 1st time. It’s clean, there’s a lot to do as far as keeping the kids entertained, we love the pools and the docks…. We stay around the same time both of the years and it’s extremely hot so the pool is a must!
I so wish there were microwaves in each room, I don’t know if I could have requested one for a fee, but having one in the room would be nice.
Beautiful resort, friendly staff, great experience. Hoping to return in the fall and take advantage of all that's available on property.
The location is beautiful! Food was very good. Hotel was very nice with lots of things to do for kids. Pools are beautiful however closed too early. Staff was extremely pleasant however some were inconsistent with answers regarding time open for food, pools, & bars. I would go back!
Hyatt Recency is a beautiful resort with an outstanding view of the Chesapeake Bay. There is lots to do from the pool to water sports to a spa.
This was a quick summer getaway for an eastern shore local and family from out of state. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations!! Gorgeous hotel and a beautiful room with a beautiful view of the Choptank River. We had a petit suite that easily accommodated our group. I got to view a stunning sunrise from our room balcony. Sunsets were visible to the left in the evening. There were plenty of dining options and every meal was superb!! Activities were plentiful for all ages. We loved this stay and will be back in the future. Parking is a challenge in the summer.

Favorite quick getaway. Beautiful location with consistently good amenities, service and offerings. We have been visiting this resort for many years and always impressed with what it provides. Expansive grounds for exploring or just lounging. Staff is attentive and friendly.
The landscaping and waterside view were nice.
Dinning, the quality of dinning overall experience was very poor. The crab soup should have been hint of crab because it lacked crab meat. Chicken entree was pink and undercooked. Crab dip was so salty we could not eat it. Those that chose the buffet noted that the food was cooled down and not appealing. I left dinner hungry and thinking of calling doordash! Not worth the money at all!!!
Amazing Father's day Weekend at Hyatt Chesapeake Bay. We've been coming back to your property for years and we always love it. The property itself is amazing. There were 2 weddings so we didn't get to have a late check out but it's understandable. We had the pleasure of being assisted with their amazing staffs Kei at Frontdesk,Milan at Breakfast and the Asian male server at Dinner. Their all wonderful ❤️
Excellent. Welcoming. Professional. Clean. Looking forward to returning. From the moment I pulled up to the hyatt until I left, I was made aware that I was in for a memorable vacation.
Love love love this place! Repeat customers and each time has been great. The location is unbelievable- so much to do and explore. Everything is super clean. Rooms and hallways always clean and smelling great. Really enjoyed our stay and will be back soon
Great experience here. Love the amenities. We had a family suite with bunk beds. Weddings and the room next door were a bit loud but not much they can do about that. Bring earplugs. It’s worth it for all the amenities. Everything was clean and service was attentive. A true resort experience.
Very nice location, great service but the rooms need a bit more upkeep. It felt dusty, the vents were dirty and the min-fridge was broken. Breakfast at the restarurant was lovely and the facilities looked nice (gym, pools, spa) although I did not get to enjoy them due to lack of time.
I would give this resort a 3.5 stars. The room has a nice view of the bay. The kitchen doesn’t stay open past 10 pm. The headboard needs to be replaced or repaired. The spa at the resort was good. I will give Spago a 4 out of 5. The facial did not use steam but hot towels to steam which is a bit disappointing. The massage was good. I enjoyed the shrimp and grits at the breakfast and the Chesapeake hash . Both are delicious. The housekeeping service is fine but the first day I went to the beach, breakfast, the gym to workout and the spa and my room was not cleaned by 3:30 PM which I thought was odd. I went to get away for a few days and relax so mission accomplished but it could have been better.
Stunning views!
Amazing experience; it felt like vacationing out of the country. Great location, near a variety of stores. I highly recommend! Make sure they don't book you near a conference room. Way toooooooooo noisy!
The rooms were very spacious. The pools were very nice and clean.
The property itself seemed a bit dated for what they are charging. The front desk staff were not very friendly. The food was not great and service was very slow by the pool area.
In past years, we've enjoyed our stay. However, this year was an anomaly. We stay here as the resort is the host resort for the Ironman race. Things happen, so I want to be fair. We will be back. We hope the issues we experienced this time are corrected. I completed the survey and won't air issues here. Again, this is not the norm.
This was a first time staying at a Hyatt Regency Hotel, and it did not disappoint. The place is beautiful, both inside and outside. Everything is beautiful and incredibly clean. We had a room with a balcony which was very nice. The people that work there are the most polite and friendly people to interact with. Everyone was very helpful, cheerful and friendly. The food we had there at two of their restaurants was delicious! I would definitely return to this Hyatt because it was such a nice experience.
The area is lovely. I would encourage any visitor to prepare for the low "low step in" tub concept for the shower. Also, the shower nozzle is a standard model without a sprayer. Room renovations would benefit the property. The property is absolutely lovely.
Our neighgborhood lunch group of 11 people got together for lunch at Michener's Library. In trying to make a reservation days ahead, I was told that it is "first come first served and there are no resevations." I called three times to try to alert the restaurant that a large party would be dining there and was told that no accomodations would be made for that. I was not even put in contact with the restaurant itself. Upon arrival, I asked an employee about seating (since no one greeted us), and was told to sit anywhere, but that they would not move two tables together so we could sit as one group. It took a long time for the wait staff to appraoch our two tables, to bring water, and to take our food orders, At times the waiters had to be prompted to attend to the tables. Perhaps the staff was short-handed, but service was very slow throughout the meal. Had I been able to reach restaurant personel, they would have known that a large party was expected and could possibly have brought in more staff. The food was fair, not what is to be expected from a Hyatt, All in all, it was not an enjoyable experience.
The resort was absolutely beautiful; the staff was friendly and helpful. I was there on Business but would go back for a personal stay with my family
Back in 2012, I spent a day here as part of a team building exercise making and launching cardboard boats, and thought I'd really like to stay here. My wife and I finally made the thought come true. The Hyatt Regency is located in Cambridge, part of Maryland's Eastern Shore, along the Choptank River. This is an upscale resort that has a golf course, a beach, a small marina, two outdoor pools and an inside pool, so the atmosphere certainly says luxury. I really liked our room, even though there were a few small issues. I used a 'Guest of Honor' reward, so we were upgraded to a petite suite. This enormous room had plenty of storage space in the unit, and included two end tables, a dresser, a table/desk combo with two chairs, another small table, a comfortable chair, a king-sized bed, a very large TV, and a sofa. The room had a balcony, and you could see the Choptank. Let's talk about some of the issue. You could not see the TV from the sofa, so we had to move the two chairs near the TV. The two chairs, which looked very good, were uncomfortable to sit in. We had to constantly sign-in over and over to use the provided wi-fi. The wi-fi would not work with my Chromebook because the Chromebook would only accept secure requests (https:) while the sign-in system used the older and un-secure http standard. Despite a phone call to housekeeping at 3:30pm, our room was never cleaned on the second day. The resort is a little on the expensive side but is probably comparable to other similar resorts. As I had other Hyatt rewards to use, I only paid for one night, which ran to about $335 with taxes.
I attended a conference at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort and I cannot recommend it enough. I brough my daughter along to make it a proper family vacation and while I was working, enjoying the food and air conditioning, she was having the time of her life. She spent her days going down the waterslide, playing connect four on the lawn, playing miniature golf, and drinking virgin pina coladas by the pool. At sunset we enjoyed walking the pier and watching the rays approach the levy followed by roasting marshmellows by the fire. This resort is 100% worth every penny and has a little bit of everything for everyone. The staff are the best, most thoughtful crew and I cannot recommend the OG burger enough.
Amazing Upscale Escape, that’s a must do! Everything exceeded my expectations, including the facilities, activities, and staff were utmost kind, patient and helpful
The HYATT has been horrific to our family. My daughter was supposed to attend a Nationals Dance Convention and injured her ankle. I called 26 days before we would be arriving to cancel. They cancelled our reservation but will NOT refund $700 of my deposit. She CANNOT dance. The hotel is SOLD out in FULL and people are waiting to book that room yet they will NOT refund my money and will NOT have a manager call me back. They keep saying a manager will contact me and they never do! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
It is a lovely facility. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay in every respect, as I have the last several years.
My wife and I spent a few days here on a baby moon. The view was incredible, the pool was beautiful and relaxing. I already want to come back. Our room faced the water and was very spacious and comfortable. Food and drinks were good. They have a good grab and go coffee shop on premise. Definitely useful for coffee! The gym had enough equipment for most people. Overall I would recommend. Especially if you live in MD!
We had a fantastic stay at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay! We traveled with a group of 32 family members ranging from newborns to grandparents (65+), and there truly was something for everyone—making it well worth the cost (which is very reasonable for a 4-star resort IMO) and the nearly 3-hour drive for us. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable for families, especially the waterview rooms with walkout balconies. One thing we really appreciated was the microwave available in the lobby for heating up kids’ food, baby bottles, and more—it’s such a thoughtful touch. There are plenty of great activities for kids, including a beautiful indoor pool with swim-in movies and other organized activities that kept everyone entertained. Overall, it’s an easy resort to recommend for a fun, relaxed, and family-friendly getaway.
I go every year with my family and love this property. Dawn the concierge went above and beyond to decorate my son's room for his birthday. Travis was so friendly at check in. Charles the bellman was a joy as well. My boys love the pool and video games. Definitely recommend!!
This hotel is so beautiful and very relaxing to stay at. Staff are also super friendly and helpful. There are tons of activities to do on site and the pool area is lovely. We also had dinner at the newly reopened Blue Point Provision Company. The service, ambiance, and food were all wonderful.
If you think golfcourse, spa and welness is your thing for a romantic getaway… think again. This is a Disney like resort with kids in mind. Rooms and services are good but not for a weekend for a couple in love
Too much family style
This is a great facility with activities for families with children. The location is amazing - views, and the layout of the facility takes full advantage of the natural beauty.
As a resort, I expected to feel the resort environment, the hotel is getting old, needs a lift and some C&L. Amazing location, unfortunately the maintenance is not there, the service is good, the price is too high. I was charged over $50 for a resort fee, but no benefits for that resort unless the front desk did not bother to explain the benefits of this fee.
I have been to this resort many times and have never been disappointed. It's beautiful, clean, and has a very friendly staff. Everyone can find something to do—you can't ask for more. I will definitely come again. My only wish: Hyatt, can you build more resorts like this near DC?
My second time here. This time, we stayed during a quiet winter week, which was fine with us. The hotel was not crowded. Our room was on a high floor and had a water view. We enjoyed the indoor pool and whirlpool every day. We also did the s'mores outside and it was a lot of fun and romantic. We stopped by the game room every day and played ping pong. Our rate included a full breakfast in the restaurant daily, which was so good. We played pool off the lobby every night. Locally, the town had a bunch of restaurants that we tried including a BBQ place, Mexican, and a small Italian restaurant.
We have just completed our millionth trip to the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay. Our kids call it our “second home”….. Always the most fun time had as a family with something for everyone (ages 12/11/8/4). Arielle at the front is the most incredible, always helping us out with any needs we may have (and the best staff all around). Jess, who is in charge of the entertainment, is unbelievable. She made a very rainy Memorial Day Weekend so much fun for the little kids, with endless indoor activities. The lifeguards and staff at the kids club are so kind and the entire time you are there you feel relaxed and as if you have flown to a resort far away. We look forward to coming back in a few weeks.
Lovely space and clean and spacious rooms. The property is beautiful and a lot to enjoy. will definitely return with my family next time, this stay was for business.
Wonderful hotel. Beautiful inside and out. Great staff and amenities. Everything was perfect. The food as well was terrific.
Great experience and beautiful facility. My family really enjoyed their stay. We had a gorgeous water view - it is worth the upgrade!
This was our first stay at this property. We chose it because it was an easy drive from home. Spent the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and I’m doubtful we’ll be back. We are WOH members and have been to many different Hyatt properties stateside and internationally. This being a AAA Four Diamond resort had my expectations high. The listed property amenities seemed promising however much work needs to be done to live up to being considered “luxury”. There was no valet and no bell service. Our room showed much wear and tear. The headboard was ripped in multiple places and there was a giant stain on the carpet. Though stated in the website, there was no chair side service for drinks or food at the pool. Only one of the listed poolside restaurants was open during our stay and was not open at all on Sunday which meant if we wanted drinks or food while at the pool we had to wait until noon and then go all the way to the other side of the hotel for service. How can there be no food or drink options available at the pool on a weekend day? The main restaurant, Waters Edge, needs a full retraining in service. No host to assist with seating each time we went and we had to search for someone to help us find a table. What was the point of making a reservation? When our food arrived we were missing an item, and by the time it finally got to us we were already done with our meal. The table next to us had multiple issues with their order and ultimately left. The food itself was ok but nothing special and the dinner atmosphere felt more like an Applebees than a restaurant at a Four Diamond resort. We did not travel with children so this didn’t effect us, but I did notice the activity pool and waterslides were closed all weekend. When I asked staff about all of this they said it was like this before Memorial Day, however I had called before booking and specifically asked if all the amenities and restaurants would be open this weekend as I didn’t want to book if they weren’t and I was assured the entire property would be open. My husband had arranged for flowers to be delivered to the hotel for our anniversary but the staff had no idea what happened to them once we got delivery confirmation. We’re still waiting for this issue to be resolved. We did enjoy sitting by the pool and the adults only hot tub. The drinks and service at Michener’s were good too, especially the charcuterie and espresso martinis. But none of that’s enough to make the 3 hour trip again or justify the cost.
Overall, this is a beautiful property with high potential that is long overdue for updates and renovations. Renovating the bathrooms in the hotel rooms should be the first priority. The water pressure was very weak, and water took a long time to heat up. Bathroom fixtures like the shower head and the faucet were loose and not fixed securely to the surface. The exhaust fan is very old and ineffective. Definitely not a luxury experience. The amenities do not seem to be very well maintained. For example, the mini golf area had leaves and debris all over the place that could be easily removed with a leaf blower each day. There are no dedicated pickleball courts. Currently, they are just taped lines over the existing tennis courts. This makes playing difficult for either tennis or for pickleball because of the overlapping lines. Would love to see dedicated tennis and pickleball courts in the future. Service at Michener's library was very slow and inattentive, despite the restaurant not being busy at all. It took about 10-15 minutes just to get two draft beers. The quality of the food is very mediocre for the price. There are a lot better options for food in the area outside of the property. There was a donut in the showcase of Bay Country Market that had a hair on it. The staff was also sort of rude, and the service was slow. Unfortunately, my wife and I were not able to use the spa, as all of the services were booked out for the entire weekend. All we really wanted to use was the sauna and the steam room, which was only available with the purchase of a separate spa service. Would have been nice to have access to the sauna and steam room, in general, without requiring a spa service separately. We would have had no problem paying for access to just the sauna and steam room, separately from the other services, but this was not an option. I really hope the Hyatt prioritizes renovations and improvements to this property in the near future, because it is a beautiful waterfront property that would be one of the best hotel experiences in the area if treated with more care and attention.
I never knew this hotel was here in Cambridge, MD. As you pull up to the facility you are wowed by the combination of nature and architecture. The rooms are huge, clean and super cozy. Not to mention for the prices are fair for the experience that you get. Can't wait to visit for leisure.
Spacious rooms, ample lighting, caring and attentive customer service, and well kept hotel grounds are a few of the reason to stay here. For work, the floors are well cushioned, it's easy to navigate through the hallways, and the acoustics don't bounce all over the place.
The resort is awesome… lots to see and do!
The bed was very uncomfortable! For the price it should have a comfortable bed.
The outdoor views and walking paths were very nice.
My room was on the ground level, only a few dozen yards from the ground level pool tables and bar. There was very little courtesy for guests who were there for the purpose of getting a good night's sleep. I eventually called the front desk (which I had to do from my cell phone bc none of the buttons worked from the room phone) at 11:00 pm to ask if they have a curfew on the pool tables. They told me they would close the double doors between the pool tables and the hallways of the rooms. Either they didn't follow through with this or the closed doors made no difference because I could still hear people playing pool from my room. And when I say playing pool, I don't mean just their conversation - I mean I could hear them shooting and the balls knocking into the table, etc. I selected this hotel so I could get a good night's sleep before an open water race that I had to wake up at 5:30 am for. I don't think I got to sleep until after 12:30 am due to the noise. Moreover the beds were not what I would expect from this level of hotel. The sheets were some terrible unbreathable fabric that were incredibly hot. If you plan to stay here I would highly recommend that you request a room AWAY from the ground level and any other amenities that are on-site. The rooms are not sound proofed at all. Next time I plan to save some money and stay at the Holiday Inn across the street.
The food selection for lunch and dinner needs more variety between the two food venues - they were the same the only difference was that one was a grab and go and the other was a sit down.
Food selection see above comment
Perfect site for a conference and a quick getaway. Local to a lot of amenities. Lots of things to do at the hotel (arcade, fitness room, sauna and pool - inside and outside, walking trail and spa)! The view of the water is amazing and relaxing. I can not believe I have not been here sooner.
We love this hotel, so many things to do, great indoor and outdoor water pools, kids friendly, comfortable room and relaxing atmosphere
Amazing place from the minute you walk in the door!
It’s a bit of a maze - but the staff is friendly and always helps along the way ❤️
Breakfast was amazing
Nothing
Pools, game area, waterfront,
Food could be a bit better. Mostly the price we paid increases our expectations. Price to quality is off
We arrived around 7pm, 2 days before a Passover event apparently, just a couple days for Spring Break for my daughter and her friend before their track schedule picked up. Upon arrival, I asked for a late check out and was denied due to the event. I informed the agent that it as my first visit as he pointed out the window, at night, to tell me where to get breakfast. He then handed me an activities sheet of sorts, no real activities and I had to ask for map, since I had never been here before so how would I know where to go. I then asked if it was possible to get a tour since I am a travel agent and was told I could walk the grounds and take videos on my own because the event space was being prepared. No bellman to help with bags, they also did not seem available or ask to help during check out. Restaurant was closed except a dismal buffet, well what was left so we had to Door Dash food and nothing but fast food nearby and open. On our 2nd day, when we had to go to Walmart to buy popsicles because the story closed at 12noon, Charles was very nice and gave us a ride on the golf cart to the parking lot. We had to buy a box of popsicles they melted in the fridge, maintenance guy was nice, tall, brown skin with dreads, he pointed out that it was more like a beverage cooler. We had lots of cold snack food, which we ended up throwing out because I didn't trust it was kept cold enough. But we paid a resort fee and had no access to snacks without leaving the resort grounds. At the one open restaurant, Sarah was nice. Emma was even better, she went out of her way to call and get us the late checkout that were were previously denied, and gave us a free pizza after hearing how bad our experience was. We ended up there that night because the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed and we were told by an older woman at the front desk, that they had the same food across the street, my daughter and her friend wanted fish & chips. They did not have the same food at all, but instead the same food we had at lunch, which while it was good, we wanted something different. The grounds are nice, the girls had a good time in the pool and playing tennis. I was approached but someone I assume was a manager, I informed her about our experience and was promised points on my account for another stay during the summer months, I have yet to see these points, but not surprised as this happened with another property I booked a group. As a travel agent, this hotel may go on my do not sell list.
Everything about this hotel was incredible. We were meeting some family to celebrate a birthday and my only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.
Amazing visit. I took my son for his birthday. They recognize it was his birthday and accommodated us with an upgraded suite. Very helpfull with accessories my son wanted. I love the hot tub!
The pool
limited access to the hotel restaurants
It’s a beautiful resort property, even in the off-season. We were able to use the guaranteed golf package and had hoped to be able to golf outside, but the weather kept us in at the simulator which was still wonderful. We were very appreciative of the adults only outdoor Jacuzzi which was the perfect temperature on a cold March day. We enjoyed both restaurants that are open in the off-season and appreciated a birthday surprise from the food and beverage manager that we chatted with. Many of the staff that we spoke with have been working there for many many years, which speaks volumes of the resort and its management. Also note that I have celiac disease and there were multiple GF Options in the restaurants. We loved our experience here and can’t wait to go back.
Location good with some decent local food spots around. Overall the Resort appeared to be good, wonderful views and vibe. That said, honestly disappointing given that this is a AAA Four Diamond resort. We expected more for the price. The room showed noticeable wear — the headboard was visibly peeling, which felt unhygienic to the point where I didn't feel comfortable resting my head against it. We also never received fresh towels after room service, a basic expectation that went unmet. For what you're paying at a Four Diamond property, these are things that simply shouldn't happen. The resort has a lot of potential, but the room quality and housekeeping need serious attention before we'd consider returning.
Good for a 3 day weekend. Probably a bit more lively in the Summer. But overall, we had fun. Food service was hit or miss. One night was not good, the other night was really good. Activities are limited in March due to temperatures.
Nothing
Terrible service and guest service. I found a piece of bread under the bed and a nail on the floor of the room. This is unacceptable.
Indoor pool was awesome. Room, view was awesome. Bar, Bartender were great.
Lobby table outside Shops was dirty.
Beautiful resort and so many wonderful things to do. Hotel clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The spa was perfect and my treatment was outstanding. Can't wait to go back in the summer to take advantage of the outdoor pools and activities.
This was a Great Experience. It has beautiful views of the Chesapeake Bay!! The temperature was in the 40's, and we walked to the pier. It is reasonably priced!! Pleasant staff. All your needs are at the resort.
Lovely place, very proper, and attentive staff. Had a little hiccup with the bar tender but it didn't spoil my stay due to the professionalism of the other staff.
Great resort, but rooms can add microwave for reheating. Rooms are well appointed and cleaning services are excellent. Parking is a bit farther but not a serious issue unless you need the car daily or frequently. Free parking is good.
Great easy escape !!! 3 hours from NJ and not much traffic Breakfast is great ,pass on micheners grill . I wish they had breakfast for dinner
This resort facility shines . . . Even during a Maryland Eastern Shore winter. The venue is in top-notch condition, the staff is most attendant, food & beverage was outstanding, and there was a plethora of activities for people of all ages.
My stay was absolutely Amazing, the rooms were very clean, the check in at the front desk went very easy, and the food alongside the helpfulness of the staff was expectation worthy and I'd visit again.
