Nice quiet location, very pleasant rooms. Parking for a very affordable price if it can't be free. Good variety of breakfast options.

Restaurant too expensive for what it offers (not unexpected). Very nice service tho.

The location though pretty far from Oslo city center is good for the view from above over the city and the quietness and surrounding nature. The rooms are ok, the bed is quite comfortable, bathroom is big. The breakfast is good but not fantastic. You can park on site for 140 NOK/24h.

The fact that they charge 250 NOK per person to use the indoor pool. The atmosphere feels a bit cold.

Badet var utdatert, dusjen var ikke noe god,og man må stå i badekaret og dusje. Vinduene på rommet var gamle og vinduskarmen var full av sparkel og malingen flasset av flere steder på vinduskarmen.

Wunderbar gelegen. mit der Bahn ist man in 40 Minuten direkt in der Innenstadt von Oslo Variantenreiches Frühstück. Gute Parkmöglichkeiten

Helt ok boende, trevlig vy över byn. Rent på rummet.

Det var väldigt svårt att ta sig hem från byn på natten. Fick bli en taxi för 1000 Nkr. Kuddarna var alldeles för tjocka.

Le fait que la piscine soit payante non précisée sur le site, le fait que l'hotel soit à 1Km avec une montée de la première station de métro et surtout que les trottoirs soient inexistants ce n'est pas indiqué sur le site.. c'est totalement intolérables donc non adaptés par les moyens de transport en commun seulement accessible en taxi !!! je peux ajouter que le personnel était économe sur les explications à l'accueil et peu au service des clients.. a noter que les explications écrites à la réception ne sont pas en anglais mais en norvégien et détail pas de chaine internationale (que anglais allemand pas espagnol, italien ou français ... )

The Aircon in the room does not work, I asked twice at reception about this on two separate days and nothing happened to resolve the issue. You have to ask yourself why does a hotel put winter duvets on a bed in the summer in the middle of a heat wave and the Aircon in the room also does not work. I’m can also say that lunch and dinner are not very nice at this hotel, breakfast is fine.

This historic hotel is located in a truly scenic setting, surrounded by nature and a peaceful atmosphere. With stunning views over the Oslofjord, a sense of tranquillity, and a spa area, it is an ideal destination for anyone looking to disconnect from the busy pace of everyday life and demanding work schedules. The breakfast and dinner were both enjoyable, and the beds were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Very professional service at the reception. The hotel staff were friendly, professional, and highly accommodating. They provided all the assistance I needed, including helping me locate the ironing room and finding a pair of scissors so I could remove a loose thread from my shirt. Overall, this is a wonderful place to relax, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of the Nordic nature.

The shower facilities felt somewhat outdated, with visible dents on both the bathroom shelf and the room table. The hotel is located in a fairly remote area. If you do not have a car, the metro station (T-banen) is the only practical transportation option and is approximately a 15-minute walk from the hotel. From there, it takes around 30–40 minutes to reach the city center by train. The hotel also offers a taxi transfer service. While the walking route is pleasant in good weather and when traveling light, it can be quite inconvenient and exhausting after a long journey, especially when carrying heavy luggage.

The small table area next to the lobby was nice for breakfast, if you could find a place. The drinking stations were nice- you had to use touch screens on an i-Pad and it worked well - hand sanitizer was provided. There was a very nice view from the outside terrace. The second room we got was fine. I think we got some kind of up-grade although it looked exactly the same in size but there was a better view. Some of the staff at reception (Mr. Nikolas and his lady boss) were really nice and tried their best. You could borrow umbrellas free of charge.

We choose the hotel as it is located in the forest above Oslo; we were looking forward to a nice and quiet place in nature. The first night was a disaster- obviously there was a wedding and music was blasting away until the early morning. We did not get any sleep before 3.30am. At breakfast the next morning there was no space to sit - we waited in the lobby to grab a place as soon as someone left- we had to clear the left-overs away ourselves as service was quite limited/overwhelmed. The buffet looked as if scavengers had been around, around the drinking fountains there was litter and stains and a lot of the food has not been filled up, so we had to eat the rests of the wedding party. Overall a more than unpleasant experience. Large groups of guests and individual travellers are not really compatible; management should inform guests in advance and leave them the choice. Unfortunately we had paid in advance, otherwise we would have left after that night. Individual travelers should not be treated as “second class guests” but with large groups in-house all the focus was on the m and the individual guests were just some add-ons. Another unpleasant experience was that, as soon as we had paid, the price dropped. Not very nice either. Ther restaurant/breakfast room lacks atmosphere- there are mainly extremely big tables, as the hotel caters for groups. Somehow it had the charm of a station cafeteria. On day 3 our room had not been serviced when we came back late afternoon. Some tourist info, like hiking options in the area, would have been useful. Some staff did not even greet when passing you at breakfast or in the hallways, not a great sign of hospitality. Chair in room had a hole. You have to pay extra for parking.

God frokost!

- Spectacular location. Simply magical, like from Twin Peaks - The metro ride to the hotel is very picturesque - Proximity to hiking trails, Holmenkollen ski jumping hill, the famous Frognerseteren Restaurant - Staff, breakfast, rooms - The view! - Not sure if I got lucky with the dates but it was very affordable

- Long metro ride from the city center, and a 10 minute walk from the metro station (Voksenkollen). Not a problem for me (quite the contrary actually) but people with disabilities might find it challenging to get there. Also, the road from the metro lacks a sidewalk on some parts (it is not very busy though) - The above was kinda compensated by an e-scooter station being at the hotel (Bolt and Voi) - thanks to which I had the most amazing scooter ride in my life on the surrounding roads. - No shops in the immediate proximity, closest one was at the Besserud metro station. Again, not a big problem with such a beautiful metro ride!

Fikk ingen informasjon når vi ankom hotellet, utenom hvilken etasje rommet skulle være på. Var sliten når vi ankom, så vi tenkte vi bare skulle ta noe enkelt i restauranten deres, der fikk vi kun bestille buffet kl 19. Buffeten besto stort sett bare av laks, fiskepinner og noe pulled beef pluss masse tilbehør som er positivt. Når jeg skulle betale for buffeten antok jeg rundt 6-700kr, for 2 personer. Det endte på 1170 med en heineken 0,3l. Noe som er ekstremt høyt priset i forhold til utvalget på buffeten. I tillegg måtte vi betale 250 per person for å bruke bassenget deres. Det var ikke noe airconditioning på rommet, så jeg våknet midt på natten helt våt i svette, selvom vindu var åpent for fullt.

Hienot maisemat, upea rakennus, monipuolinen ja hyvä aamupala, sängyssä oli hyvä nukkua.

Inntrykket var at hotellet begynte å bli slitent med tanke på vedlikehold. Buffeten som ble servert var ikke verd pengene. Lite og rart sammensatt utvalg.

Alt var kjempe koselig og fint. Veldig fornøyd.

Dit hotel staat op een hele mooie locatie. Vanaf het terras aan de achterkant ontzettend mooi uitzicht en concert van vogel geluiden. De dag erna was er mist, dus we hadden erg geluk dat we het mooie uitzicht week gezien hebben. Op loopafstand van de metro. Zijn we zo naar het centrum gegaan.

Privelistea de poveste. Intr-adwvar o locatie bine pozitionata și cu o panorama asupra orașului Oslo. Dacă vreodată vom mai avea ocazia sa ajungem prin Oslo, cu siguranta alegerea va fi Soria Moria.

Lokalizacja, zależało mi aby hotel był poza miastem i faktycznie był. Widok cudowny. Hotel miły. Sauna i basen super.

Obsługa hotelu i niezgodny z umową standard pokoju z uwagi na zaplanowane w hotelu wesele. Personel uznał, że nic nie robi sobie z pokoju który zarezerwowałem i da zwykły mały pokoik. Jako zadośćuczynienie zaproponowali lunch. Drugi aspekt, na recepcji w momencie przyjęcia do hotelu obsługiwała mnie 3 tygodniowa Pani starzystka. Otrzymałem pokój. Potem mój standard pokoju miał zostać podniesiony z pokoju standard którego nie zamawiałem na superb. Niestety po udowodnieniu personeli w tym managerowi hotelu że pokój nowy który miał być lepszym nowy z inny widokiem - uwaga …. był na tym samum piętrze, na tym samym korytarzu 3 pokoje dalej. Takie zachowanie jest karygodne. To oszukiwanie klienta mimo wprost informacji ode mnie, że jest zupełnie inaczej. Po udowodnieniu personelowi, że to jednak ten sam pokój stwierdzili że ok no tak wyszło. Smutne, bo naprawę fajne miejsce, większość personelu super, natomiast pierwsze wrażenie pozostaje. Szkoda, bo duży wyższy potencjał. Szczególne osobne podziękowania sa pomoc z ładowarką. Naprawdę ten aspekt na najwyższym poziomie.

Simply amazing place!!! Barely you would find better location high above Oslo for the shortest midsummar night:-) Foxes give you a good night here (really truly, met them in front of the hotel at white midnight).

Unpleasant surprise was non-adjustable aircon in my room, I would never expect such annoying thing in Oslo forest, OMG why? Just open the window and breath fresh forest air! Long black hair in my sink while I have no hair, well, what to say...

Vi hadde et helt fantastisk opphold på Soria Moria Hotell. Beliggenheten er helt nydelig med flott utsikt og rolige omgivelser. Hotellet var rent, pent og veldig hyggelig. ansatte alle var utrolig vennlige, imøtekommende og gjorde sitt beste for at vi skulle trives. Servicen var førsteklasses, og vi følte oss virkelig godt tatt vare på.

Vi hadde egentlig ingenting å klage på. Oppholdet levde helt opp til forventningene, og vi satt igjen med bare gode opplevelser.

Die Lage ist super toll. Frühstück ist ausreichend.

Die Portionen im Restaurant sind für den doch sehr gehoben Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Die Zimmer, speziell das Bad ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Der Pool/Wellnessbereich müssen ekstra bezahlt werden. Es gab Mängel am Geländer( sehr lose)aber Bilder machen zur Dokumentation ist verboten.

Het ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid en de bedden zijn goed.

De sfeer in het hotel, kil en zakelijk. We hadden inderdaad een rustige kamer, ver weggestopt aan het einde van de aanbouw. Uitzicht op een muur. Kamer was gerenoveerd, badkamer nog niet.

Sehr schöne Zimmer/Bad, „Wellnessbereich“ besteht „nur“ aus einem Pool und einer Sauna dafür sehr schön und Modern

Superb location and facilities. The best hotel gym I have ever seen, compact but really well thought.

I did not know that there is an extra charge for a swimming pool and sauna.

Dåligt bemötande vid incheckning, var svårt att förstå vart vi skulle, fick inga klara besked förutom att en hiss var trasig. Rummet hade fotavtryck på väggen bredvid sängen, fruktansvärt äckligt. Fick gå ner och klaga och fick ett nytt rum. På natten var det ravefest på hotellet så vi kunde inte sova, när vi sa till i receptionen på morgonen fick vi veta att; ja det var ett sällskap som hade fest.. När vi återigen kommenterade det vid utcheckningen fick vi höra att det skall vara tyst vid 23, festen pågick till minst klockan 2. Receptionen beklagade det inträffade men kunde tyvärr inte göra något mer. Dottern beställde en dyr drink i baren en så kallad mule, där en av ingredienserna är lime, när drinken var färdiggjord fick hon frågan om det gick bra med en apelsinskiva istället för lime för de hade tyvärr ingen lime, det skulle de ju sagt innan! Hela resan blev förstörd av ovan nämnda fadäser, min dotter och jag hade sett fram emot en fin vistelse då detta var en resa vi gjorde innan jag skall påbörja behandlingar för en sjukdom och detta var den enda ”semestern” för mig i sommar. Till Soria Moria kommer vi aldrig tillbaka!

Wspaniałe miejsce! Przepyszne śniadania i cudowna część spa. Sauna przy basenie ma niesamowity widok! Bardzo wygodne łóżka!

Jedynym minusem dla mnie jest lokalizacja. Czas oczekiwania na zamówioną TAXI to około 30 minut. Brak chodnika przy drodze prowadzącej do stacji T-bane.

Très bel hôtel avec de belles vues des terrasses. On s'y sent bien. Les repas étaient bons.

I've stayed at the hotel before for work conferences and remember thinking that the food was rather forgettable. However, I recently attended the Sunday Buffet and was impressed by the selection and value for money. The appetizers/cold dishes were very good. My favourite item in the entire buffet was the mussels. However, the choice of main dishes/warm dishes was very limited and odd. For example, they served a chicken curry but had no rice to accompany it. The highlight of the buffet is the dessert table. There were lots of options and they were all good. My favourite was a delicate and intricate pavlova plate that was composed of at least 8 different elements and the pecan pie. It's difficult to be unhappy with a meal when you get unlimited desserts. The atmosphere was also excellent. The dining room has stunning views and the hotel grounds are beautiful and perfect for a post-dinner stroll. I will definitely be returning for the sunday buffet in the near future.

The views from the hotel were stunning and the swimming pool was very clean. The view from the sauna has to be seen to be believed. The food was very nice, in particular the salmon and scrambled egg open sandwich. There were lots of choice for the breakfast.

The room was of a good standard, however the view could have been nicer, all we could see were the rooms opposite.
