Crown Columbia Hotel; BW Premier Collection

Such a beautiful boutique hotel! Gorgeous rooms, awesome staff, and a stunning lobby and lounge. Great views of the Columbia River. This hotel exceeded my expectations with style, atmosphere, and cleanliness…pet friendly too! I know in some other reviews, people complained about the view of the “factory” - if you have been to the area before, Teck is a prominent fixture in the town…hard to avoid that! Others mentioned the unhoused in the area - unfortunately that’s society right now, and this hotel has gone above and beyond to provide a safe environment for their guests. Absolutely loved my stay at this hotel and would highly recommend for anyone coming through the area!

The suite was awesome!!

Nothing to be done about the location in proximity to the smelter. Even though it wasn’t a problem.

It was a small suite with a walk-in closet and two fridges. Staff helped us secure our bicycles. Beautiful view of the river. Comfortable beds including an excellent fold-out couch bed.

The town was dead even though we were in the centre perhaps due to smoky conditions. Staff was not able to help us find adequate dinner on a Saturday night.

For the $400 room price a bit more of a breakfast could be included, or vouchers for breakfast. Coffee and frozen muffins were are not the vibe the hotel gives. Also not even a bottle of water in the room. Those are very minimal cost items in a room that we slept in for 7 hours and paid a high rate for.

We stayed at the Crown Columbia Hotel, BW Premier Collection in Trail during our annual Father’s Day motorcycle ride, and it was a great choice. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well kept, with a nice updated feel. The staff were friendly and easy to deal with, check-in was smooth, and the location worked perfectly for our route. After a long day on the bikes, it was exactly the kind of place we needed — comfortable rooms, good atmosphere, and no hassles. We would definitely stay here again on another ride through Trail. Great spot and easy to recommend. Five stars.

Very clean and nicely decorated. Great location. All of the staff were so friendly and professional. The lounge off the lobby was a nice place to have a glass of wine before dinner. The fitness centre is clean and has good new equipment. Even the inside stairwell was clean and bright and actually nice to use.

I booked a room that said it had 3 beds on the booking but the hotel didn’t have any of those rooms .The hotel did manage to change our room to one that had 2 beds and a sofa bed .But the hotel info was wrong on booking.com site

Everything about the hotel was superb. The lounge was unfortunately closed when we were there, which I was really hoping to check out. Nice continental breakfast and coffees. Staff were all extremely helpful. Decor and cleanliness were all wonderful. The room was terrific, large kitchen area and seating area, separate from the bed area. The bed was very comfortable.

We were lucky with parking to get a spot out front, but otherwise would have been not ideal (distant back lot). Had a bit of trouble with the TVs in our room, remote wasn't working right, but it was fixed quickly but still had some issues. Minor inconvenience.

This is a beautiful hotel! Most hotels will advertise queen or king sized beds and when you get there they are double beds at best. These were truly king sized and so comfortable!!

The Crown Columbia is one of my favorite hotels. The property is quiet and clean. The staff are friendly and attentive to all guests needs. I prefer to have access to a kitchen when travelling and the suites at this property have the perfect size kitchen to feed me (and sometimes my teens when they join me for a trip). But best of all are the beds...most comfortable mattress providing me a restful sleep every time I'm there.

Comfortable bed; pullout couch not so much. Greatly appreciated the bar in the bathroom. Quiet location. Handy for getting around in town. Appreciated the laundry facilities.

Pull out couch is old style with springs under the mattress. Not comfortable. Newer models like our one at home are foam based and way more pleasant to8 sleep on.

Disappointing for grab and go breakfast. Store bought muffins and granola bars. Would be nice to see sourcing from a local baker perhaps for these things. Also no instructions how to use the Nespresso machine. The cocktail bar was disappointing. Went down for a cocktail, only to find out they only serve wine and beer. And no bartender. You advertised a cocktail bar. This was not that. A glass of wine was $19! That’s ridiculous. We are from the Okanagan and can tell you we would have just brought our wine, if we had known. Ended up having drinks in our room instead. Also disappointing because we were looking forward to enjoying the beautiful architecture in that room. Might consider staying at a different hotel next time even though the hotel was beautiful.

I was amazing. The outside of the hotel was very old. Built in 1929. It has an old Hotel sign on the roof. I was skepital ot htis facility until we walked into the lobby. When we registered and took the elevator to our room It was amazing the difference from the outside of the building and what Best Western did t0 the inside of their building. we were very impressed.

I was able to get a parking space right out front. But those spaces are limited. Otherwise you park behind the building.

Nice reno of an old (1929) hotel in the heart of Trail. It's quiet, clean, spacious, the beds are comfy. Ask for a river view room.

Very nicely renovated, spacious suite and good value. parking was easy and free. Staff were friendly and helpful although sometimes the front desk was empty. Not a big deal though as they responded when needed. Best place to stay in Trail I'd say.

On the plus side: room was unexpectedly huge. Price was very reasonable. Very clean. Our Check-in gal was excellent and very helpful. Con’s: the expected Best Western Premier breakfast didn’t exist. A Keurig coffee dispenser with room temperature simulated cream and a packaged muffin, was it. Also, no on-site dining whatsoever. This is a very old ( single elevator ) hotel, with renovations. Can’t figure out why this is rated “premier” when the other BW 2 blocks away - which looked and seemed to have it all - is rate as a “plus”. Would not stay here twice

The renovations both inside the hotel and the rooms were well done and looked modern, crisp, clean, well coordinated. The check in person was lovely and helpful. The parking was close and plenty. Right along the river and a lovely river walk as well as the community market right outside on Saturday mornings.

the outside of the building was outdated and didn't match the much nicer and updated interior. BW stays usually have breakfasts and this only had granola bars, apple and muffins. The coffee was good though.

The hotel itself was great. We only dealt with the front desk person. She was very good. Our only concern was the area of town. We were warned that we should not walk i certain nearby areas. As to family resraurants in the area: o e "bar & grill" where you were compelled to listen to kereoke wailing. Food good, atmosphere seedy.

We stayed in a suite with 2 kings. Plenty of room for our kids to spread out. Friendly staff and super comfy beds.

I arrived sick from our flight and the staff was very accomodating with extra towels and sheets. We kept adding days on to our stay and we were able to keep our same room. No problem. Excellent hotel in downtown Trail. Very walkable.

This is a wonderful hotel to stay at in Trail. Perfect location and the staff and rooms are great.

This is a great hotel in the perfect location in Trail, BC. We are staying for 14 nights in a suite with a kitchen. Spacious and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Not far from Red Mountain, so great for skiing accomodation off the hill. We have stayed here on a few occasions and will continue as our son lives in Montrose. Well done Crown Columbia!

We travelled with our two pups. We had a double king suite, gorgeous room, full kitchen. All we could need.
