Chalet Saunton

The apartment is modern, spacious, beautifully furnished and very clean. The view is incredible. You can sit inside or on the balcony and watch the surfers all day. One night wasn’t enough. The hotel next door is great for a drink and the Beachside Grill serves excellent food.

Location. View. Clean.

Rain leak. Need to provide a tea towel. Need hooks for wet towels.

Complete wow factor. Incredible views, feels like you’re on top of the world! High spec facilities, very comfortable stay. A real treat.

The view is exceptional. I doubt there is a better view in North Devon

I booked and then within 2 hrs I needed to cancel as I had the dates wrong. The host was completely inflexible even though I have stayed a number of times before. Due to the booking dates being unable to be changed whilst I was there I needed to work and although there is a dining table its difficult to use when everyone else is on holiday. I expect many people are in the same boat and it would be great to have a useful desk on one of the rooms. Also the drains in the main room loo cupboard smell - to a significant extent. The drains needs a good overhall.

Die Unterkunft war gross aber nicht sonderlich schön eingerichtet. Z.T. wirkten die Möbel schmuddelig und die Outdoorlounge war etwas abgenutzt und alt. In den Küchenschubladen war Chaos- alles irgendwie zusammengeschmissen. Die Wohnung war bei Bezug auch schlecht gereinigt- überall noch Spinnweben und der Wasserkocher war innen durch braun und nicht zu nutzen. Ausserdem roch die Wohnung penetrant unangenehm. Ausserderm fiel auf, dass alle anderen gebuchten Ferien- Objekte in dieser Preiskategorie je ein Willkommenspaket im Kühlschrank aufwiesen (Brot/Butter/ Milch etc.) welches bei Saunton Beach leider fehlte. Fazit: für eine Nacht war es ok, da man sich nicht lang in der Wohnung aufgehalten hat- aber Preis Leistung hat leider überhaupt nicht gepasst!

Amazing view! Lots of space

We loved our stay in the Penthouse at Chalet Saunton. The apartment was amazing, and the location was perfect. We needed assistance during our stay and were helped immediately.

There were no faults. It was perfect. We would love to stay again.

With the weather being outstanding the apartment can get really hot

It is a well thought out. beautiful space. APT 4 is ground floor from rear of property where main building entrance is...yet at the front, all the advantage of being first floor with lovely balcony overlooking Saunton Sands. Appliances great...shower lovely, veds very comfortable...

We were there for a birthday but no corkscrew/ bottle opener, hairdryer or bioethanol for the media wall fireplace.....no first day milk or tea bags and couldn't find a tea cloth for small wash ups ....so tiny things but a bit disruptive if you are only there for a short stay.

Fabulous apartment. Spotless, spacious and with gorgeous views of Saunton Sands. Well equipped with a great bathroom and shower. Love the provision of cleaning products and cloths in the kitchen and tea and coffee in the cupboards.

Das Chalet Saunton hat eine sensationelle Lage mit Blick über den Strand. Das Penthouse ist sehr geräumig mit vielen verschiedenen Sitzgelegenheiten und sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Hier konnten wir entspannte Tage verbringen.

Alle Türen im Haus schließen sehr geräuschvoll, auch wenn man versucht, dies leise zu tun.

Spacious apartman with beautiful views and great location. Very peaceful.

Place is a bit more backdated than on the photos but still very nice with a tight parking spot. No toiletries or any little welcome back or anything at all. For the price per night it is normally a must at most of places with similar price range, location etc. Could be just me as used to get an extra gesture which makes arriving a bit nicer, in my opinion of course. Doesn't affect a good stay thought. Views are just amazing!

There wasn’t any numbers on the apartment doors so you had to guess which one was the number allocated.

Stunning vjews, incredibly spacious, modern, clean, well-equipped, great use of space (mirrors to reflect the sea), and a fantastic balcony. Easy communication with staff. Very accommodating and friendly. Just minutes from one of the best beaches in the UK. I could have stayed on the balcony forever just watching the waves roll in. And… dog friendly! Would definitely come back!

Coffee machine and Bose speaker didn’t work. Bed felt a bit hard.

Absolutely stunning, both inside and out.

Light switches were difficult to work out which switch was for which light but not an issue at all.

Beautiful property and perfect location. Views of the beach were amazing and we loved the easy access. Enjoyed the comfortable beds, modern, clean and spacious bathroom and big TV with Netflix subscription. We loved spending time on the balcony, however, initially struggled to stop our dogs from going to visit the dog next door until we made a temporary blockade. A screen or larger planters would have made this easier. Also only having one parking space was difficult as we came in 2 cars. It was suggested we park in the hotel next door, however, this was £20 per hour and the beach car park is strictly no overnight.

The spacious apartment is perfect for the whole family. Kitchen appliances are top range, bathroom, living room settings were above our expectations. When you all wake up and enjoy your breakfast looking down to the seaside is absolutely breathtaking. The living, dining room and kitchen is a huge open space which elevates the luxurious experience.

Nothing to dislike

Location was fantastic looking down the length of the beach and the apartment was beautiful from the inside. Lovely warm welcome as well and handover of keys and induction was perfect.

Their balcony is open to the next door apartment. It seems that the owner does not wish to address that as he fears the aesthetics will be compromised. The result is that pets can wander into next door and we came up with the agreement with our neighbours to create more of a barricade on a temporary basis. I am sure a suitable planter or something equally aesthetically pleasing could be found to resolve this
