Reviewed Sep 19, 2026The breakfast is ‘next level!’ It’s why I choose Thon above others! When other hotels cut corners, Thon goes over and above to create a breakfast spread worthy of winning your business against far nicer peers!
My shower drain was clogged. Thankfully my bathroom also had a tub with a floor drain in front of it that allowed the overflow from my shower to drain before overflowing into my room.

Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Posizione perfetta attaccata alla Stazione Centrale e al binario dove passa il treno per l’aeroporto. Bella vista sul fiordo, il teatro dell’opera e il museo Munch. Colazione ottima con dolce e salato e parecchie centrifughe/succhi. Personale molto disponibile ed estremamente gentile. La mia camera era molto grande e ho apprezzato la macchinetta per il caffè e il bollitore. Bello il balconcino e il bagno enorme. Tra l’altro è un hotel molto silenzioso e il riposo è assicurato

Reviewed Sep 12, 2026The location of this hotel was great. It was adjacent to the train station and within walking distance to downtown, the Opera House and the Munch museum. We had a good dinner one night in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet is outstanding. The window opened and street noise was not much of a problem.
Nothing - I would stay here again.

Pricey but not unusual for Norway.

Breakfast was a huge excellent spread but during weekdays it ends at 10 AM. Having had a late night & jet lag we almost missed it. The check in gentleman was a little chary with information—seemed tired of dumb questions asked by worn out travelers.

The elevators required a bit of patience during peak times. We were fortunate enough to have a room with a balcony overlooking the city. The guests next to us used their balcony to smoke outside. The fumes forced us back inside.

Breakfast with no proper coffee, only the "American style" even when you ask for espresso. It seems the Hotel was designed for Middle-Eastern ppl (and run by). Even a toilet seat is for midget size ppl ... Despite marked with "Parking" if you drive here, have to use public parking as the Hotel doesnt have any ... This Hotel more like a "railway station Motel" not for tourist or business, just for stay for a night, but for that it is way overpriced.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026Locatie direct bij station en bij centrum en haven. Gezellig en dichtbij. Personeel was aardig. Kamer was erg mooi, ruim en schoon, niet gehorig en leuk uitzicht. Fijn bed.
Lift naar de 4e verdieping deed het de tweede dag niet. Ontbijt ter plekke was oke, maar had meer divers en vers verwacht, zoals meer soorten fruit. Voor glutenvrije en lactosevrije producten, daar miste ik de lactosevrije yoghurt (alleen soorten melk). Omdat we vroeg vertrokken, kregen we een papieren zakje met ontbijt mee. Dat was niet best. Een besmeerde (wel glutenvrije) boterham met beleg met een appel en pakje drinken. Het pakketje was bevroren en erg karig. Het papieren zakje werd vervolgens helemaal nat, omdat het bevroren was geweest. De boterham was daardoor niet lekker. Voor zo'n luxe en vrij prijzig hotel, had ik daar wel meer van verwacht.

Die Verbindung des TV zum HDMI-Zugang war sehr störungsanfällig. Der Service an der Rezeption behob die Einschränkungen aber immer sofort persönlich!
