Perfect locatie, mooi centraal en schoon. Appartement heel mooi en handig.

Woonkamer zonder Airco en dat in warmte van Curaçao. Echt stom. We waren de hele dag dus geforceerd om in slaapkamer te blijven die wat koeler was. Ramen en deuren kon je ook niet openen, want het wordt alleen maar warmer. Teleurstellend.

We booked a package tour through TUI that included a stay in a two-bedroom villa at the Papagayo Resort. Unfortunately, our flight was delayed by more than 24 hours, so we didn’t arrive at the resort until the following evening. I had called the day before to let them know we’d be arriving a day later. Upon arrival, I even spoke to the same person at the front desk who told me he had answered my call the day before. To our great surprise, they had assumed we weren’t coming anymore. As a result, there was no welcome package, no food, and no drinks after a two-day journey. Tui hadn’t notified them, but I had personally informed them. The villa is okay but has clearly seen better days. The amenities are really minimal for cooking and living in the villa. Room service only changes the towels and takes out the trash during your stay. The resort’s front desk isn’t much to speak of, but the staff are friendly. A lot of people from outside the resort come to party there on the weekends, which unfortunately brought along a few undesirable individuals. Security clearly saw what was going on but did nothing about it. Personally, even though I had a fantastic trip with my family, I wouldn’t choose the Papagayo Resort again. Upon check-out, the credit card deposit was not released by the front desk. Now, after three weeks, the funds are still on hold, awaiting automatic release by the credit card company after 31 days. I contacted the resort but unfortunatly never received any reply.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Papagayo Beach Hotel, not only because my GoPro camera disappeared from my hotel room, but because of the way the situation was handled. My GoPro was inside my suitcase before we left Room 414. When we returned, it was gone. It was never taken to the beach, a restaurant, or anywhere else outside the hotel. From the very beginning, I felt that my report was met with skepticism rather than concern. Instead of being treated as a guest reporting a serious security incident, I felt I was expected to prove that I had even brought the camera with me. The attitude was dismissive and, at times, disrespectful. It was only after the police arrived that the hotel staff became noticeably more professional and respectful in their interactions with us. What disappointed me most was the hotel's final position. Rather than acknowledging that a guest's belongings had disappeared from inside a hotel room, the hotel concluded that its investigation found no evidence to support that a theft had occurred. At no point did they acknowledge the disappearance of my camera as an actual incident. As a guest, this left me feeling that my experience and concerns were simply dismissed. I understand that an internal investigation may not determine exactly what happened. However, that does not change the fact that my GoPro was inside my suitcase before we left the room and was missing when we returned. I expected the hotel to recognize the seriousness of that fact and to stand behind its guests, even if the investigation could not determine how the camera disappeared. Until this incident, our stay had been enjoyable. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled completely overshadowed our vacation. A hotel of this category should not only provide excellent facilities, but also demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and accountability when guests experience a serious incident. I hope Papagayo Beach Hotel reviews both its security procedures and the way it treats guests who report incidents like this.

I Love this island as a First time visitor but this resort was Not for Me and my Wife, nothing wrong with what they offer it’s just not for me. The bungalow/villa is just Way too Hot and humid as only the bedrooms are air conditioned and sorry but that’s just not gonna cut it on an island that is consistently hot and humid as they use vented door panels for open up the entire living space, bathrooms are hot, limited uncomfortable furniture. This is not a bad place just not for us.

My first time in Curaçao and my experience would have been much better had I chosen a different resort. They have location in their favor being right across from Jan Thiel Beach Club but that’s about where it ends. We rented a two bedroom villa and the villa is pretty open and spacious but insufferably hot. The wooden doors were a hassle to open in the attempt to catch a breeze and when they were open birds flew in. There was one fan blowing the humidity around, a ceiling fan would have probably worked better, instead there are hanging lanterns to attract perching birds. When we asked for an additional fan we were told there is only one per unit. The porch is nice and spacious but really not helpful if the air is still, when the wind doesn’t blow it’s just hot. Luckily we had a car and could explore the island but forget about returning from a day out and coming back to a cool comfortable space. When I was off the resort and needed to reach out for assistance via WhatsApp, I never got a response. I tried email and nothing. The trash can was broken in one bathroom, they don’t provide wash cloths but luckily I bring those from home. The body wash and shampoo are literally sample size so we had to buy soap from the market. The beds don’t have blankets, only sheets, the tv is tiny and although it says Netflix and Amazon Prime, neither of those worked. The only time I felt remotely comfortable was in the bedroom but there’s no tv in there to even watch a movie in the air. The resort could use major upgrades .The pool wasn’t clean and needed repair. We saw a kid get hurt on jagged metal around the edge of the pool. The front desk has a sign that says restaurant but no restaurant is open there. The Beach Club was the best part of this stay. I will most likely visit the island again but NOT here. For the price we paid I would not consider this “luxury”.

Tuvimos una estadía hermosa en Papagayo. Nos hospedamos en las villas, que son cabañas amplias, cómodas y muy bien equipadas. La cocina cuenta con todo lo necesario y el servicio de aseo diario fue excelente. Un detalle que agradecimos mucho fue que nos permitieran ingresar a la habitación antes del horario de check-in, sujeto a disponibilidad, lo que hizo mucho más cómodo nuestro primer día. El hotel cuenta con una playa muy bonita, un restaurante propio y, además, hay varios restaurantes cercanos que no pertenecen al hotel y ofrecen comida deliciosa. La ubicación es buena; sin embargo, es importante tener en cuenta que varias de las playas más conocidas de la zona están aproximadamente a una hora en carro. En general, disfrutamos muchísimo nuestra estancia y sin duda volveríamos.

Heerlijke ruime villa met alle faciliteiten. Het personeel is ook fantastisch! Met name Kimberly Richardson heeft ons verblijf extra leuk gemaakt! Bedankt boor de fijne tijd!

Together with my wife we had an excellent stay in one of the beautiful villas (number 104) at Papagayo Beach Resort. There was a large porch with a beautiful sea view, where we were joined by e.g. troupial birds, bare-eyed pigeons or the blue tailed emerald. The living room had long wooden folding doors that could only open to two sides, creating a beautiful view. The two bedrooms had air conditioning with mosquito nets around the beds. There was daily cleaning with new towels. We were not bothered by noise disturbance. Minor defects in the villa were resolved immediately. We had expected the restaurant at the beach resort to be open, but it is closed. However, there are various facilities, including a Papagayo restaurant at the hotel on the beach across from the park. The staff at the reception, including Hector, were very friendly and helpfull. All in all, good value for money.

Nice big Appartments, great location just near Jan Thiel Bay.

The place was very welcoming and friendly. My lady and I had a great time, the bartenders were all great, but a special shoutout to Frank 🫵🏻 ✅, he makes the best drinks 🙌🏻. Best regards, Johan

Close to beach facilities

Old, maintenance issues, way overpriced

Our stay at Papagayo Resort turned into a nightmare. During our stay, we discovered that approximately US$11500 worth of cash and personal belongings had been stolen from our accommodation. The stolen items included cash, jewelry, clothing, perfume, and even ladies’ underwear. We have an official police report documenting the incident. What disappointed us even more than the theft itself was the way management handled the situation. Rather than showing genuine concern and conducting what appeared to be a thorough investigation, we felt our concerns were dismissed. After we reported the theft to the police, management became uncooperative and we received little meaningful assistance. We were even made to feel as though involving the police was the wrong decision. We understand that no hotel or resort can guarantee that theft will never occur. However, guests should be able to expect management to take such a serious incident seriously, cooperate fully, and do everything possible to assist. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. This incident completely ruined our vacation. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this resort. If you choose to stay here, I strongly recommend keeping all valuables secured elsewhere and never assuming that items left in your room are safe.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. Our experience was extremely disappointing. During our stay, several of our belongings went missing. We reported the incident immediately, but we felt that the theft was not taken seriously by the resort. Instead of supporting us after we contacted the police, the management became hostile and seemed resentful because we involved law enforcement. Rather than helping us, we felt ignored and unfairly treated throughout the process. Based on our experience, we did not feel that our belongings were safe at this resort, and we cannot recommend staying here. I hope the management will take guest safety and theft reports much more seriously in the future.

Huisjes zijn enigszins gedateerd. Last van mieren/vlooien/muggen in de badkamer en in de slaapkamer zoals aangegeven bij receptie. Pestcontrole werd ingezet maar gaf geen verbetering

Gostei sim, no entanto, um dos quartos estava com o ar-condicionado muito fraco, solicitamos para ajustar no entanto os funcionário foram visitar e falaram que estava normal, mas era nítido que ele estava fraco. Neste mesmo quarto a única tomada estava quebrada, pedimos para arrumar mas não foi reparado. Ainda, a geladeira não fechava direito e consequentemente não gelava muito bem. Do resto estava tudo ok

Wij zijn enorm teleurgesteld over onze ervaring bij Papagayo Beach Hotel. Juist voor onze laatste twee vakantiedagen hadden wij bewust gekozen voor een ontspannen verblijf aan het strand. Na een uitgebreide check-in bij een bijzonder ongeinteresseerde baliemedewerker arriveerden wij rond 12:00 uur op het strand om te genieten van de beachbeds en verkoeling in zee. Tot onze verbazing bleken echter alle strandbedden bezet vanwege een privé-evenement. Hierover was ons vooraf niets medegedeeld. Ook bij de omliggende strandtenten konden wij niet terecht, omdat deze eveneens overboekt waren vanwege een openbaar evenement. Het zoeken naar alternatieven heeft ons veel tijd en energie gekost. Omdat wij alsnog zo veel mogelijk van onze laatste vakantiedagen wilden genieten, hebben wij direct gevraagd om onze boeking — die pas bij check-in was betaald — te annuleren en te storneren. De baliemedewerker liet ons in de hitte wachten, waarbij we zelf om een glaasje water voor verkoeling moesten vragen. Eenmaal ter plaatse kregen wij van de manager wel begrip voor de ernst van de situatie. Men gaf aan te willen kijken of er ergens nog een extra strandbed geplaatst kon worden op het al overvolle strand. Voor ons voelde dit echter allesbehalve ontspannen en zeker niet passend bij het verblijf dat wij hadden geboekt. Wij hebben daarom aangegeven onze vakantie niet verder te willen laten beïnvloeden door deze situatie en hebben verzocht om annulering. Dit bleek volgens de receptie niet mogelijk vanwege het beleid van het hotel. Wij vinden dit zeer onredelijk, aangezien ons vooraf niet is verteld dat wij geen gebruik zouden kunnen maken van de voor ons belangrijkste faciliteit van het hotel: de beachbeds. Uiteindelijk hebben wij besloten te vertrekken, omdat wij onze laatste vakantiedagen niet wilden laten verpesten. Via deze weg verzoeken wij dan ook nadrukkelijk om restitutie van het betaalde bedrag. We zijn nog in afwachting van de uiteindelijke oplossing van het hotel.

We had a wonderful holiday! The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The location is beautiful and peaceful, with great facilities on the park. The cottages were clean and well maintained. Everything was well organized and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!

Sliding doors were not easy to manuever

Our trip to Malaysia had been cancelled a couple of days before departure due to Middle East war and we booked very rapidly to Curaçao without knowing exactly about the destination. What a beautiful surprise: the island is just amazing and the hotel is just perfect! We spent 10 days in a 2 bedroom bungalows, with 2 bathrooms a perfect kitchen and very tastefull furtniture on the big terrace. The kids had fun and the parents too!

Location is nice but not enough places with shadow on the beach compared for example to Mambo beach. The house is cleaned properly every day with new towels and soap (if necessary). The rooms are big but outdated. It needs a refreshment. Bedroom airco's are quiet and good. No noise from outside when sleeping. Some staff is friendly and willing but not all. (One security guy at the gate was very friendly to us and the other one was not paying attention at all. He was doing his own thing. In our home, the oven was not working well and they promised a new one if they could find one. I guess they couldn'd find one because we didn't hear anything after that. The owner planned his wedding in the hotel and some services were out for us for almost a week. This wasn't mentioned to TUI way in advance so they could only inform us one day before arriving. TUI payed us a percentage back which was OK and accepted but this was not nice from the hotel.

There is only 1 parking spot per apartment. I don't think that this is very bad, but if per apartment there could be maximum 2 parking spots, that this will be better. Or a parking space a little closer by.

Se podría mejorar el sistema de ingreso al sector de la playa de los huéspedes, debido a que si se te olvida la tarjeta que muestra que alojas en el lugar te quieren hacer pagar el ingreso o cobrar las reposeras (son insistentes).

We loved out two bedroom villa. Our daughter had her own room and so did we. The one space living area is fantastic and spacious. A view of the water and the beach right across the street with just a row of wonderful restaurants!

Let start with something positive, the people are very nice! They do their best within the constraints that is a obvious cheap tourist trap. The villa was falling apart, it was dirty. No airco in the main living space. They were so cheap not even our Nespresso cups were replenished, they told me they only provide it for 1 day, spent 1800+ dollars for 4 days, can't even get complementary coffee cups, lmao. Also they clean some things when there is room service but the leave the sponge completely dirty... i dont even wanna know what the cleaned with it. I could go on how horrible it was... but just look at the photo's Also, the 'sea view' is just a joke.. maybe one or two villa's have a nice view across a busy road towards the sea... but the one we received.. i guess technically you could see the ocean in between some other houses... DO NOT GO HERE.

To start, I want to say that we loved Curacao! It was easy to navigate, perfect weather and lovely people. However, Papagayo Beach Resort fell short. I wanted to love it but it just didn’t impress. To start, we stayed in the biggest villa they had — 5 bdrm presidential. The 5th room was on the bottom floor and was unusable because it had a constant sewage smell. The washing machine was broken for 5 out 7 of the days we were there. We repeatedly told reception and finally on the 5th day, they suggested we go to the resort laundry room to do our laundry. They overcharged us for a pick up at the airport and when I caught it, they didn’t offer to refund me but told me I could have a credit to spend at the resort. The restaurant at the beach resort was permanently closed. The closets smelled so bad (every single one), you couldn’t put your clothes in them. They left only one dishwasher pod a day — we were staying with 4 kids and although repeatedly asked for extra, never was addressed. I’d send messages to reception on WhatsApp, they often didn’t respond for days. The kitchen was there but zero cooking supplies, not even basic salt and pepper. If you wanted to cook, you needed to purchase absolutely everything. They gave you one beach towel per person at check in and you needed to walk all the way to reception if you wanted fresh ones. Furthermore, upon check out, you needed to carry the towels back to reception, they wouldn’t collect them from the villa. The pool was great to have but was highly chlorinated and hard on the kids eyes. They took a $1500 deposit upon checkin that I was told would be returned at check out but then was told it could take up to 20 days. And lastly, the credit they left from overcharging me was completely forgotten and they attempted to charge me again on my ride back to the airport. I had to find the emails and resend them to prove myself. I feel like I have babbled through this entire review but as you can see, NOT impressive. And I gave many opportunities to correct all the issues and was continuously ignored. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place.

The Highlights: The infinity pool is absolutely world-class—it was the highlight of the trip and perfect for the kids. We also loved the design of the villa; the wrap-around deck and the indoor-outdoor living concept really let us soak in the Caribbean breeze and made the space feel huge. Villa was cleaned and towels replaced daily, so no issues there. ​The Downside: Unfortunately, the experience was dampened by a serious presence of tiny ants, specifically in the kitchen and bathroom. It made it impossible to leave anything on the counters. Bring sealable bags. ​Final Thought: A beautiful resort with a great layout.

Location was good. Atmosphere good. Villa was basic, clean. More functional space would be nice. There was no functional table in the extremely large living room. This would have been nice to eat, play cards etc. Hooks in bathroom to hang towels did not work. Towels kept falling. Shelf in shower to place toiletries needed. Coffee and tea was not replenished for duration of stay, which I thought was unusual given the price of the stay. Value: villa was overpriced. Must have a car to explore all the beaches on the island. Area was quiet and no noise concerns. Reception staff was exceptional. They were always willing to help. We loved Leochnella and Rayno. They always went the extra mile to help. Beach and beach infinite pool was paid public access so much busier than anticipated. Beach was not ever tidied. Garbage on the sand, chairs don't get wiped. Overall, the amenities were a bit disappointing given the cost of the villa stay.

Adoro a villa… espaçosa, bom gosto, camas confortáveis… adoro o silencio delicioso! Não tinha nada de mosquitos… jardim maravilhoso, bem cuidado!

Chuveiro também tinha q ter mais pressão. E deveria ter opção de mais iluminação na suíte principal. Acho que está na hora de fazer uma manutenção intensa no piso de madeira.

Wonderful stay. Mrs Francisca treated us very well at reception and check in. The view was amazing! Everybody was super friendly and helpful.

The villa was clean and your staff was wonderful. However, the villa is NOT air conditioned. Only the bedrooms have AC. This made the trip miserable. Having slatted, exterior doors and walls lets the warm air blow through 24 hours a day. This also allows sound to travel from each villa to the next villa. I tried watching the 1 TV, in the main room, at 10 pm but neighbors complained because they could hear my TV. It was NOT loud. So I had to stop watching TV. No TV in bedroom, why? Very disappointed. Then there's the ants. EVERYWHERE! I had to keep cookies and chips in the refrigerator to keep ants away. Set down your plate to eat and ants are on it within 5 minutes. Plus there's the mosquitos because the villa is wide open. For the price it was a good value.

The service was not good, welcome minibar empty despite they promoted as included in the price, as well as other stuff that is offered but not available once you are in the hotel. The managers should pay attention to those small details. The location and arounds are good.

We had a very pleasant stay at Papagayo Resort. My family and I felt truly welcome from the moment we arrived, and we enjoyed an amazing experience throughout our visit. A special thank you to the wonderful team at Papagayo Resort. Daya, Cinoly, and Nela were especially helpful and made our stay even better with their kindness and excellent service. We really appreciate everything and look forward to visiting again!

I celebrate my birthday with family. The villa was very comfortable. We had a great time at Papagayo. The breakfast was also very good.

Fantastic accommodation (bungalow 304) with a private pool in a beautiful location overlooking the garden and sea. Service-minded staff at the reception (Anissa Landiz). Daily cleaning, fresh towels and bath towels provided daily. Minor issues (loose shower head and loose decking board) were resolved within a few hours by maintenance. Relaxed and peaceful atmosphere throughout the resort. Disappointing experience at the beach club restaurant (at the hotel).

We had a wonderful stay at the resort — the villa was absolutely amazing and perfect for our family. Unfortunately, our experience was slightly overshadowed by an issue after we left. I realized at the airport that I had forgotten my jewelry box in the villa. I called the resort immediately, and they confirmed they had it and just needed my details to ship it back. While I appreciated the quick response at first, I never received any updates afterward and had to follow up multiple times over the next few weeks. After three weeks, I was finally told there would be a shipping cost — something that was never mentioned before. It’s now been a month and they have yet to send it or respond. I wish I could have left a much better review.

Exceeded all expectations. We stayed in a villa on the resort. The villa was really big, airco in the two bedrooms (2 separte beds for the kids and a kings size bed for us). No airco in the living room, however a really big fan was present. We could open the sliding doors all the way up, therefore providing a really big enhanvement of the living surface when the porch was included (extending 2 sides of the villa). It was a relatively short walk to the beach side. Various restaurants providing a really great ambiance. Beach access was included --> the standard Jan Thiel Beach but also the salt water infinity pool. Standard sun bed provided. Different styles of restaurants available from haute cuisine to a beach vibe with picknick tables in the sand. In the evening a great ambiance. Service was excellent, everything was clean. Superb price quality ratio. It was quite calm, no noise troubles whatsoever. I would really really suggest going here. I rented a car and visited multiple beach resorts and beaches. I would very much endorse using Papagayo as a main stay. Little advice, if traveling from Europe time zone: take an overnight flight!!! We traveled back to NL at 16:35 local time, flight was 8 tot 10 hours. This way, you will get tired in the plane at around 9 in the evening local Curacao time and you can sleep (hopefully, at least the kids will). When arriving it will be around 08:30 local NL time. This way you really beat the Jetlag!

Very nice and clean accomodation very modern. I really liked it there, i enjoyed the food ,the staff the vieuw , like really everything.

Acomodação confortável e funcional para famílias, são 2 quartos com sala e cozinha completa. Fiquei durante 1 semana com minha esposa, 2 filhos pequenos e minha mãe e o espaço nos atendeu super bem. Além disso, a limpeza ocorreu todos os dias e a equipe foi bastante atenciosa. O uso do beach club também foi bem tranquilo. Superou as expectativas.

Prima locatie, dicht bij het strand en fijn dat we ons eigen plekje en stoelen hebben op het strand. Inchecken verliep soepel met duidelijke uitleg over de faciliteiten. Goede wifi die niet haperde zoals af en toe weleens gebeurt op het eiland. De bungalow was verder ruim en schoon met een fijne airco in de slaapkamers. We hebben geen gebruik gemaakt van het ontbijtbuffet bij het restaurant maar wel geluncht. Lunch was prima maar een beetje aan de duurdere kant.

De badkamer benodigdheden zoals douchegel, shampoo etc. zijn wel erg klein.

What a great stay i had in the Papagayo Beach resort. I was here for the first time but everything was great. Especially the woman from the reception and housekeeping. They helped me with everything and made the house look new again every day.for sure i come back here.

The staff was very helpfull in all kind of ways. They even sang at my sons, birthday! He got a present for a non alcoholic drink at the beach. When the fan broke down, we got a new one within the hour. The guards at the gate never forgot to wish us a good day when whenever we past them. Really amazing. You can do your laundry. The houses are quite big for four people, enough room. Good working airco in the dormitories. Little swimming pool en one extra for the little ones.

Our stay was amazing! Hector and Nella made our stay so comfy and pleasant. Weather amazing and the house we stayed in was in perfect shape, always clean.

The resort was beautiful & located in a great spot on the island. Villa was clean & equipped with everything we needed. *Kitchen had plates, utensils, cooking supplies & even tupperware. *Dishwasher was helpful to throw everything in at the end of the day & wake up to clean dishes. *Bedrooms are wonderfully air-conditioned and comfortable! *No issues w/ noisy neighbors & plenty of parking. *Description said '1 bathroom,' but the villa had 2 full bathrooms *Fresh towels provided daily, or you could indicate using your towels more than 1 day. *Pools were great! We spent most of our time at the beaches. Papagayo's beach was a little confusing to figure out b/c each beach section is right next to the other. Cabanas are $69/pp according to 1 person. Someone else said they paid $100 for a cabana...? The beach chairs are free and worked fine for us. *Papagayo's section is a little farther from the restaurants which was ok. It was quieter and away from the DJ and crowds by the other restaurants. *Pool towels can be exchanged at the reception or @ the towel hut at the beach. *Grocery store nearby helped with buying essentials and snacks. *We drank the water straight from the sink & had no issues. *No restaurant on the resort property but plenty w/in walking distance by the beach. *Wraparound porch was lovely to relax on each night *Warning, there are def bugs both flying & crawling around the villa. It did not bother us but just a heads up. Everyone was so friendly!!

The beach resort was great, nice and spacious cabin with a beautiful large veranda all around. The huge sliding open doors give really that inside-outside feeling that suits the beautiful Curacao

The villa was clean, safe, and spacious. Landiz, the manager, treated us amazingly—very welcoming and helpful. A perfect stay overall. Would definitely return and highly recommend! Landiz is the reason that we returned and we were not dissapointed at all. Loved it!

We visit papagayo every summer for mor than 10 years! Home away from home for us! This year we stayed in one of the Royal suites. Spacecious with a private pool and beautifull vieuw! Whenever you need something staff is there for you! Thank you Landiz, Nella, Hector and Rosetta and all the others for making us feel welcome again !

We visited and stayed in the villas for a week for our birthdays and Hector made our stay so fun and enjoyable. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and friendly. Housekeeping cleaned the rooms daily, which I truly appreciated. The grounds were well kept and allowed for opportunities to view so many beautiful birds, iguanas, etc. The security was pleasant and provided an extra sense of safety that made the stay even more enjoyable. The beach resort, pool, ocean, everything was amazing. Overall, a great location and experience.

Jan Thiel has a great vibe and this property provides both easy access to entertainment and quiet areas/privacy to just hang out with friends. We stayed in Villa 115 and especially enjoyed the sliding doors that afford great views, ventilation, and privacy when desired. The property is clean, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the villas contain all the utilities and kitchenware you need. Furnishings are stylish and comfortable. The grocery store is within easy walking distance, as is the entertainment complex which provides a variety of bar/dining options at multiple price points. The Papagayo infinity pool (saltwater) is both beautiful and refreshing with plenty of beach chairs for everyone.

2 bedroom appartement and was great, great bed, porch, kitchen etc. Distance to beach about 400 meters. Didn't use the pool at the resort and restaurant was closed which wasn't clear to us. Yes I would come back.

We had a lovely vacation at Papagayo. The staff (especially Loechnella) was super sweet en nice. They helped us with everything. Would stay here again.

Staff are super helpful, felt very safe and comfortable. The villa was clean and all facilities in great working order. Food at the Papagayo Beach Club is tasty and prices are fair. Supermarket nearby is a plus when you like to prepare your own meals and buy more water and other bits and bobs such as sunscreen, mosquito repellent, after sun balms, etc.

Beautiful resort near Jan Thiel beach. Perfect location. Great restaurant, clean comfortable rooms and beds. Nice staff. We stayed in a villa and it was perfect for a family of 5.

This place is truly paradise. Beautiful resort, helpful and friendly staff, easy check in and out, great restaurant on the beach. We stayed in the villas and it was perfect. Well appointed kitchen and nice bedrooms each with AC. The doors that collapse and open onto the deck make it feel so open and airy you can really enjoy the weather and the views. Grocery store, gym, spa, everything is right there without being too busy. Jan Thiel beach and the restaurants that surround it are great. Easy access to anywhere you want to go. We will be back.

Geweldige villa met heerlijke veranda. Op loopafstand van het strand. Heel aardig en vriendelijk personeel. Enige dat ons tegenviel is de meerprijs voor gedeeltelijk zeezicht, het uitzicht op zee was zo minimaal dat was het niet waard.

Horrible noise feom a dj every night until 1 am!! Do not come for rest.. nobody told us there would be a private party. The bass is so loud the doors and windows are shaking. Very unpleasant. The manager is not around to have a chat and no respond to mails.

Property was nice, close to beach, cleaning staff and maintenance crew were great- kind , friendly and helpful. Since we had an ocean view villa we were close to the beach area and the music on Friday and Saturday late night kept us awake. Wish the rooms were sound proof.

We stay at Papagayo Beach Resort in a 4 bedroom villa and it exceed all of our expectations! The villa was spacious and set up perfectly! The staff were excellent and always helpful!

Amazing individual huts! We had a 3 bed. It was awesome!

Overall our 3 bedroom villa was excellent. Plenty of room for the 5 of us and the outdoor space was excellent too. The only thing that was disappointing is that the specialty restaurant on the resort property was not open. The beach club was nice with lots of choices for food and drink, there may have been a problem with the septic as there was quite a smell for a day or two between fresh water and salt water pool.

I don't recommend the resort - but do recommend the hotel. The ocean view room advertised on line is not the view you will get when renting an ocean view villa. We had a view of a roof. There are no screens in the living room in the villa, so basically, it's like renting two bedrooms and a huge porch. The sliding doors (which have slats in them that let the mosquitoes in) didn't even close properly, so we had to have someone come to close them for us. There were mosquitoes in the living area and bedrooms. There are mosquito nets for the beds, but the mosquitoes were in the living room as well. The bedrooms are air conditioned, but the bathrooms are not - so getting ready to go out is unpleasant. Hector in reception was super helpful and we were able to move to the hotel, but at a cost. They would not refund the difference in price, and the hotel was less expensive. They did cover the cost of a breakfast, but overall we lost about $200. The hotel was nice - very helpful staff. But inexplicably, there was a pile of dirty linens and garbage in the corner outside our room for the time we were there. There also is no beach right at the hotel - you have to walk down to the Jan Theil beach, which is just a few minutes walking. The hotel has chairs along a salt water pool - which is very pretty, but still not the beach.

Papagayo Beach Resort is a beautiful location. The Villa I stayed was very clean with a perfect structure for a family that wants to go out for dinning or lunch and also stay like your home. The attention of the staff is great, but we had some issues with the all inclusive system. I needed to call several times to the reception to ask to fulfill the refrigerator with water (in an all inclusive package, the refrigerator needs to be fulfilled on a daily basis, without asking). Another point os about the restaurant. Breakfast with not so many options (for the price we paid for the stay, I was expecting more options). Dinner - menu is always the same (everyday of the week) and the worst for us was that there were 2 nights with events in the main restaurant close to the beach and the hosts just had the option to ask for the snacks menu and not for the entire menu, which is not a reasonable option for an all inclusive package.

Beautiful surroundings, walking distance to the beach/restaurants & fantastic accommodations. The open air porch was so nice to watch birds, lizards & iguana. We were able to get groceries close by and eat dinner at our villa a few times. Hector was so helpful with getting the dishwasher running & laundry services. Loechnella helped us find a perfect spot to watch the Carnaval parade as well. Great people looking after us at the Papagayo Beach Resort- we felt very safe & well taken care of on this vacation.

Had a great experience with rental of four beach cabanas. Loved the service and the food. Had a great day at the beach and felt the $600 we spent worth it. Went back a week later and had rented the four cabanas again. Or we thought we had. Turns out they double booked two of the cabanas and wanted to split our group. After much strained conversation with the absolutely clueless staff we decided to move to the lower priced cabanas. Expecting to get four next to each other we were told we had to split up again as the four we chose had one of them booked. Spoke to the management which pretty much said you are out of luck as we will book these no problem. Obviously we were disappointed at that statement. We were left with no choice but to leave. The whole experience was total chaos. Leaving Curaçao with a bad taste and this just put us over the top. BEWARE when renting cabanas at Papagayo Beach Resort.

Ik vind het heerlijk rustig (behalve vrijdagavond en zaterdagavond), de Albert Heijn op loopafstand is handig en het zoutwaterzwembad is ideaal.
