Een mooie ligging en dichtbij ingang Kruger. Luxe kamer uitkijkend op de rivier.

Personeel op zich vriendelijk maar het geeft in z'n geheel een wat uitgeblust karakter. Avond eten was niet slecht maar daar heb je het ook mee gehad. Prijs/kwaliteit uit balans. Er zijn betere alternatieven langs de Crocodile River.

Hotel lindíssimo, muito bem integrado na experiência do Kruger. Espaço muito bem cuidado e uma vista da varanda fenomenal. Quartos confortáveis e bem mantidos, apesar de já terem alguns anos. Os miúdos adoraram o slide da piscina. Todos os funcionários foram extremamente simpáticos, cordiais e eficientes. Comida excelente, com um pequeno-almoço soberbo e packed breakfasts ótimos para os safaris.

O único ponto negativo foi haver vários pratos do menu do almoço out of stock.

Ficámos no Pestana Kruger Lodge durante a nossa visita ao Kruger e, no geral, é um espaço muito bem enquadrado no ambiente envolvente, permitindo uma experiência bastante imersiva na natureza. O pequeno-almoço é bom e variado, embora tenha havido algumas falhas na preparação dos pratos quentes: em mais do que uma ocasião esqueceram-se dos pedidos de bacon e ovos mexidos. O jantar em buffet é agradável, mas poderia ter maior variedade, sobretudo de legumes cozinhados para quem, por motivos de saúde, não pode consumir alimentos crus. Num dos dias, também não havia qualquer opção de peixe. É um espaço com uma localização e enquadramento excelentes e com potencial para proporcionar uma experiência muito especial, mas existem alguns detalhes de serviço, limpeza e manutenção que deveriam ser melhorados para que a experiência corresponda verdadeiramente ao nível esperado.

Os quartos são amplos e confortáveis, mas apresentam algumas falhas de higienização, nomeadamente no chão e na banheira, onde encontrámos cabelos. Nota-se também que algumas áreas e equipamentos já necessitam de alguma manutenção. Quanto aos funcionários, foi talvez o ponto que mais nos dececionou. O atendimento foi pouco caloroso e, de forma geral, sentimos falta da simpatia e hospitalidade que seria expectável num alojamento deste nível, especialmente num contexto como o Kruger, onde a experiência e o acolhimento fazem parte importante da estadia.

I have no idea why a lodge serving international guests would possibly only have an option of two single beds in the room. Apart from that this must have been the most uncomfortable beds that I have ever experienced! The air conditioner was not working, when this was reported to the front office staff they were disinterested.

The breakfast was excellent. A large variety and well prepared.

The location was excellent and the staff were generally good, with our dinner server being excellent.

The facilities are a little run down with mold in the bathroom, 4 lights wired into one plug, a plug socket hanging off the wall and, apparently, at the age of 64 you can't be trusted with the remote for the air conditioning which, when I finally got it, was rigged so that it wouldn't actually go below 23c even when it was set to 16c.

La struttura è chiaramente invecchiata e avrebbe bisogno di essere ristrutturata in alcuni punti (bagno della camera, impianto elettrico, acqua calda nella spa)

Le paysage est magique; vue sur les hippopotames dans la rivière depuis le restaurant. Le surclassement; la vue depuis la chambre a été l’une des plus belles de notre voyage.

Quelques petits soucis avec les wc et équipements de salle de bain. Mais plusieurs essais de réparation par le personnel. Malgré ces petits inconvénients, nous n’aurions pas souhaité changer de chambre!

Rooms are very outdated, didnt feel clean. Restaurant service terrible and very slow. Not enough towels. Tiny towels. Sleeper couch very small and uncomfortable.

L'habitació no estava massa neta i les instal·lacions podrien ser millorables. El sofà llit no era gens còmode.

Het ligt fantastisch. We hebben op het terras een drankje bij zonsondergang gedaan. Super mooi en met uitzicht op de rivier heel veel nijlpaarden. Ook ontbijt op het teras met uitzicht op de rivier, buffels gezien. Glijbaan ook leuk.

Het buffet diner had niet veel keuze. Vooral de kids baalden, geen friet, pasta of simpel vlees ( vooral curry of vispotje). Ontbijt was wel prima

La qualità del cibo si è rivelata molto bassa sia a colazione che a cena: la scelta dei piatti è estremamente ridotta e molte portate calde (come la carne a cena) venivano servite fredde. A peggiorare le cose è stato l'atteggiamento del personale durante la colazione. Mentre stavamo preparando due panini da mangiare più tardi, siamo stati fissati a vista e ci è stato chiesto il numero di camera con un tono accusatorio, facendoci sentire a disagio come se stessimo facendo qualcosa di illecito. Nel complesso, un servizio buffet da rivedere totalmente, sia per la qualità delle materie prime e della preparazione, sia per l'accoglienza e la cortesia verso gli ospiti.

Great location just outside Kruger Malelane gate. Unit for 2 adults plus 2 children was good size. Room facilities all very good. Restaurant buffet dinner was nice with decent choices. We gave breakfast bags because we were leaving early to get into the park and the food provided was good and lots of variety. Pool looked lovely but we didn’t have time to try it out. Deck overlooking the crocodile river and park was lovely to watch the hippos, crocodiles & elephant.

Die Lage am Crocodile River ist fantastisch. Von der Restaurant Terrasse hat man einen fantastischen Blick auf den Fluss und wir konnten Krokodile, Hippos und Elefanten beobachten. Auch von unserem Balkon sahen und hörten wir Hippos. Gutes Frühstück und Abendessen, à la carte oder Buffet. Das Malelane-Gate zum Eintritt in den Kruger-Park liegt nur ca. 3 Autominuten von der Lodge entfernt. Die Lodge liegt zwar ausserhalb, aber der Fluss gehört bereits zum Park, was Tiersichtungen ermöglicht. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Das Zimmer war okay aber nicht super. Ich hatte mehr erwartet.

Rooms are definitely smaller and shabbier than what is shown on the website. Everything would need a good refurbishment (bedside lamps assembled with different pieces that don’t fit together, etc). Food at the buffet dinner very disappointing: grilled chicken wasn’t grilled, but kind of boiled and soaked in a BBQ-like sauce, vegetable rice inedible, sautéed vegetables tasted rancid. The only good point of the place is the terrace overlooking the river, and the staff that is indeed very nice and courteous.

Les chambres ne sont pas à niveau. Les draps ne sont même pas à la taille du lit. Moins de serviettes de toilette que d'occupants. Le 3ème lit n'était pas fait. Le buffet le soir n'était pas de bonne qualité, alors que le menu à la carte servi le lendemain était meilleur.

The quality of the property has deteriorated since our last visit, dstv wasn’t working, WiFi was down, I requested a double bed to be made 4 times over 3 days, food was average, there is also a bad smell coming from the little river strip next to the rooms.

Food was ok, the first days a set menu, later on the week was buffet. food was tasty, just no much of variety. Staff super friendly, people is really nice.

Rooms in general are dark and smelly... when you shower or use the tap you can smell the sewerage coming back... beds are really uncomfortable. the linen is awful. towels, terrible so old and small.

The best part of the stay has to be the location. Breakfast is very decent too.

Maintenance is a serious issue. In our unit the toilet leaked, the shower drain was blocked, the airconditioner made noises and the one table had marked water damage.

The staff were exceptionally firendly and helpful.

Colazione eccellente, con un'ampia scelta di prodotti di qualità. Il caffè è davvero molto buono (detto da italiani!). La piscina è ben tenuta e gli spazi verdi sono curati con grande attenzione, contribuendo a creare un'atmosfera rilassante e piacevole. Il deck panoramico offre una vista spettacolare sul fiume, soprattutto al tramonto, quando il paesaggio diventa davvero indimenticabile. Un luogo ideale per chi cerca tranquillità, comfort e un contatto autentico con la natura.

Avrei apprezzato di più l'ascolto di musica tradizionale africana, che avrebbe contribuito a creare un'atmosfera più autentica e in linea con il contesto locale. Personalmente, ho trovato la musica jazz meno adatta all'esperienza.

There had been a lot of rain in the months preceding our stay and there was an odd musty smell at the entrance to the room but not the room itself.

Superb location near Malelane gate and overlooking the Crocodile river. The good points were the the waiting staff were very helpful and friendly, as were the security staff on the gate. The breakfasts at the buffet were really good and, again, the staff were lovely. Dinners were a bit haphazard. If it was a buffet dinner, the selection was good. If there weren't enough people staying in the evening, they went to a set menu which was only average. The salad starter was generally not wonderful, a few salad leaves, tasteless tomatoes and a few other bits. The worst bit of the food side was the breakfast box on the morning of our departure. Previously this has contained a sandwich, a muffin, a packet of crisps, an energy bar, a piece of fruit and a carton of drink. This time, we got two slices of dry bread, a small pat of butter, one tiny piece of sweaty, rubbery cheese and an apple, not even a drink. To say it was disappointing is a huge understatement. I took a photo of the contents and intended to send it to the hotel but think it is pointless as they won't reply.

The room was looking very shabby and didn't look very clean. On the bathroom wall there was a long brown streak coming down from the roof which was almost certainly bat poo as we could hear bats squeaking the roof above. We love bats but if you have them above a hotel room you certainly need to keep on top of the cleaning. The cupboard containing the mini fridge had doors where the wood was peeling off and they wouldn't close properly. The bath was looking stained and dated. The worst thing was that one of the electric sockets on the wall was completely loose, hanging off the wall, even though it had appliances plugged into it. This is clearly not safe. We reported it and it was eventually sorted out. We then noticed on the day we were leaving that the same socket had two appliances (desk lamp and hair dryer) wired into one plug. Again, we're pretty sure this is not a safe practice. We constantly had to ask for things to be done. Each day something was missing from the room - toiletries, bottles of water, even toilet rolls, so we had to go to reception and ask for these. They did sort these things out but in what I believe is supposed to be a 4* hotel, you really shouldn't have to chase things. The final day we got back and our room hadn't been serviced at all. Beds unmade, towels unchanged, nothing topped up. I rang reception who didn't know anything about it. They sent someone from housekeeping who didn't know what had happened either though he did immediately start cleaning the room and was very apologetic. Something was said about the room key having been lost but surely if that was the case they could have done something about it or at least left a message on our door to say there was a problem? We spoke to Hellen, Guest Services Manager, about it - she apologised and said she would find out what had gone wrong and email us. Needless to say, we have received nothing from her at all.

The property is nice and close to Malenane Gate with easy access to the Kruger Park.

Dinner was definitely below standard, especially considering the high prices. The lamb chops were mostly bone and fat, and the cheesecake was nothing like an actual cheesecake. At the breakfast you were limited to the offered sparkling wine and were asked to mix it with orange juice to not consume too much??? First time I have experienced this.The room was not cleaned properly, with items from previous guests still left in the fridge. The view overlooking the little stream was disappointing, as it was littered with plastic rubbish. There was no toilet paper provided and only one set of towels available.

- Ma chambre n’était pas entièrement prête à mon arrivée. Nous étions 4 et la chambre avait été préparée pour 2 personnes uniquement. - Un rasoir usagé était présent dans la douche à mon arrivée … - Le sol n’était pas lavé … En marchant 5 minutes pieds nus, vous pieds deviennent sales … - Plusieurs fuites dans la salle de bain : douche et baignoire … - La piscine est très sale… À 230 euros la nuit, c’est pour moi inadmissible …

I floden nedanför rummet grymtar flodhästar och längst stranden kan du ibland se olika antiloper. Mycket bra frukost som du kan avnjuta på verandan, likaså middagen. Lack of maintenance, in the main lodge, steps from the lion units to the main lodge are not well kept.

Nur wenige Meter vom Krüger Park Gate entfernt gelegen, überzeugt die Unterkunft mit einer schönen, gepflegten Gartenanlage und einer tollen Terrasse mit Blick auf den Fluss. Als praktische Zwischenübernachtung ist sie gut geeignet, für einen längeren Aufenthalt jedoch weniger empfehlenswert.

e Zimmer waren sehr dunkel und es gab viele Mücken im Raum. Zusätzlich war das Türschloss verbogen, sodass sich die Tür nicht sicher abschließen ließ. Der externe Wäscheservice war ebenfalls enttäuschend: Für ca. ZAR 790 wurde die Wäsche kaum sichtbar gereinigt zurückgegeben, lediglich stark parfümiert.

O alojamento está a precisar de uma renovação e o serviço do restaurante piorou muito. Em 2005 era excelente até tinha carne de caça à “lá carte”, agora resume-se a um buffet com pouca variedade.
