Great hotel with good continental breakfast

I had a reservation with booking.com, drove 6 hours to reach the hotel. Arrived exhausted, couldn't wait to flop into bed. I was denied check in because they would not accept VISA debit or cash, and would not accept any amount of damage deposit (even $1000). Since I didn't have a 'real' credit card they told me to find somewhere else to stay. It's okay to have certain policies but you need to communicate these policies BEFORE the person drives 6 HOURS to the hotel and tries to check in!

Liked the room concept with two small but separated rooms. Full equipped kitchen was wonderful (even though I didn't use it - but the possibility was exceptional)

Room was right beside the restaurant and very noisy

The Breakfast was terrible. The eggs were pan fried no flavor. The Sausage were salty and cheap. The bagels were dried out. The ketchup was watered down. And the individual packs of syrup were hard as a rock. We basically did not eat our Breakfast. The worst Breakfast I have every experience at a hotel.

The Breakfast needs to be higher quality. Also the lady that checked me in wanted full payment on my Credit Card, And would not take the $50x2 a night for a $100.00 deposit wanted the full amount on my credit card. I wanted to pay cash for the 2 nights. And take a $100 damage deposit, Made me do $200.00 I still paid for the 2 nights upfront and put $200 on card as a hold. No managers available to talk to

Arrived at hotel, had booked a Queen Suite, with pull out couch, when arrived was told they did not have that set up anymore although their advertisement on the Best Western website stated they did, so requested a Queen suite, was given a room with 2 double beds. limited toilet paper, when asked for another roll was told none available. If it had not been for the fact that I would have been charged for the rooms I would have gone somewhere else, if this is the way a Platinum member gets treated, never again

You get the expected good quality of a Best Western hotel. However the morning complementary breakfast was better than most. The gentleman managing the breakfast crowd deserves two thumbs up!

my wife and me stopped here on the way home from Alaska and was greeted by a nice young lady at the front desk, was given a nice quiet room and the beds were very comfortable. I would have to say it was one of the best night's rest on the trip. Breakfast is on the 2nd floor and it was very nice.. If I find myself in Grande Prairie again, I will be staying here!

Great hotel, clean, friendly staff, great bed slept like a baby the pillows are awesome. The breakfast was above and beyond perfectly cooked eggs, bacon, sausages, so much more delicious and it was free :) Top notch Italian restaurant attached to the hotel, (make sure you make a reservation) it is busy.

Very Comfy Beds. Good sleep. Nice staff. Better lighting than I’ve seen at other BW’s. Clean washroom. Great Breakfast. Air conditioning works very well. Heard my neighbours making babies. The man came out satisfied and his kid seemed horrified (Didn’t see a woman). It really brightened my day. Enjoyed my goon session and the complimentary lotion really helped. Really enjoyed my stay.

Average hotel that did the job for a kids hockey tournament. shower pressure was good, beds were comfortable. there are couple options to eat within walking distance. Parking can be a bit tight on the weekends as the parking lot is shared with a Pub and a Restaurant, but always good find a parking spot when needed.

The premises are very welcoming and comfortable. The staff is great and helpful. My husband had knee surgery, and the Best Western had a proper "accessible" room, that was well set up for a person with mobility issues. From now on, this will be our choice hotel when we go to Grande Prairie.

Hotel was good, lots of parking, prompt service. Room was clean, hotel was clean. Breakfast was hot and had good selection, gentleman working breakfast was attentive. Only oddity was shower was tiny, a little corner shower that was the smallest I’ve seen in a hotel in a long time

Breakfast was very good, and room was very very clean.

Bed was not to our liking. And the room above us had a dog that was very loud throughout the night and into the morning

We stayed for two days here and service was poor. They never made sure if our room was clean or not, if we needed something we had to go to the front and get it from them. Ladies working at the front were rude and I won’t recommend this hotel to anyone, did not enjoy my stay here.

Comfortable hotel with good restaurant and good location to nearby amenities and work location. Chose this hotel because a coworker recommended it and we were carpooling. Will likely stay here in the future for trips to visit our GP facility.

Excellent hotel in the Grande Praire area. Easy access to the surrounding area that is close to some great restaurants and entertainment venues. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast provides an excellent choice of food and beverages

Hot breakfast buffet was an excellent advantage. Well stocked and supervised by a helpful and attentive elderly gentleman. Property and accomodations offered all that we required. Will stay again when in the area.

Something caught me off guard, I took a very early morning shower around 4-4:30am. I want to apologize to the guest's around my room, why? The person who was above me had a shower just after me, and the noise from the pipes was outrageous, it literally could wake the dead. If I was sleeping it definitely would have woken me up. It may not be the same in all the rooms but mine horrible. Otherwise it's a Best Western so you know the rooms are going to be good. Their breakfast the best one so far.

service is good, I extended my stay couple times, got the help from front desk. Room is clean, and food is good in restaurant. The location is not preferred, but still ok.

I found the bed was very uncomfortable for me atleast and the pillows were also uncomfortable when I turned the fan on in the bathroom it was screaming sounding like it was going to come out of the ceiling thinking it’s due to be replaced. The breakfast wasn’t great but it was free. Not at all like a restaurant style breakfast

Quiet, clean, spacious, pet friendly, continental breakfast room had windows that provided the view, friendly staff who were mindful of my needs.

Hotel is very clean, staff is friendly and easy to access. However I would not recommend this hotel. The bar in the parking lot on weekends is extremely loud, takes up all prime parking for guests and if it’s busy the staff are extremely unprepared for heavy traffic in the breakfast room. We had an our team stay there and 3 mornings in a row there was no plates, no forks and no juice cups. Let alone barely could keep food in the containers. The team booked ahead so the hotel had plenty of time to prepare however they did not as there were two teams there. The breakfast room lady was running off her butt to keep people happy without help. Pretty expensive stay for what you got. Breakfast items are good and decent options. Bacon, sausage, eggs and even real ones cooked over easy some mornings, waffles with strawberries and hash browns. But again, if you’re facing the parking lot…. Bring ear plugs!!!

The location was good.

The hotel itself is old. We had an issue with the toilet and asked the front desk for repair when we went out. When we returned 7 hours later the toilet still wasn't fixed. When we asked the front desk the guy said the repair people were out. Huh? We also asked for a late check out from the same guy. He said ask tomorrow. The girl in the morning was pleasant but said no.

NO HOT TUB..Website clearly shows a hot tub and you know it's this hotel as there's a Kal Tire across the street,can you say false advertising. The staff, room, cleanliness and breakfast all good but no hot tub!!

Boyfriend and I had a good sleep but I always choose Best Western whenever I go its just simply amazing! I would always recommend Best Western to family and friends a bit pricey for me but its all worth it.

It was clean always and have good breakfasts but this time no enough food to serve coz was run out of stock.

It was noisy because of the nearby pub within the location. Not appropriate to have it the same area of the hotel coz people needs to get a good rest while outside is noisy.

Rooms were a tad smaller than other hotels, which is noteworthy since I have an extra large sized kennel for the dog.

The staff were friendly, hotel is in a great location - there's a restaurant in the hotel and also across the parking lot that you can walk to. My coworker told me their breakfast was awesome (I skipped breakfast).

We booked a suite online via a visa debit, after a 5 1/2 hour drive to the city of Grande Prairie we were looking forward to relaxing after a long day at a event. We called the front desk around 2:00pm to ensure we would still be able to check in later that evening. Arrived at the desk at 10:20pm when asked to pay we used the card that we reserved the room on, declined. We asked what the problem was, they only take credit card. No problem, this is a big chain I'm sure they can make an exception in this case. Add a larger deposit, or whatever they need. The answer was no, there is nothing they can do. I asked why, the answer “we had something happen last week” I looked at my kids half asleep in the lobby chairs and then at my wife. We informed the desk clerk we would be leaving. If you don’t take visa debit, then don’t allow it to be used for the online booking. What a shame.

I bought a package , flight & room. Seems to be a mix up somewhere as they want to charge me for room ??

Nice to have a restaurant close by and the breakfast was great.

Construction on the main road by the hotel getting in and out was difficult at times. We travelled from Lethbridge to attend the horse races - at the races they were announcing if you stay at the Best Western Hotel mention you are attending an event at Evergreen Park and you will get a discount- they new nothing about this!
