Staff are always very friendly

The elevator, room and floor we stayed on all smelled strongly of old cigarette smoke. It was so bad it made it hard to stay in the room. Had to open the windows at night to help get rid of the smell of the room. We did mention it to the front desk staff and they said they'd look into it.

Clean, comfortable, room with good breakfast. Staff were very friendly. Close to everything we needed. Free day to access parking

Location is great, breakfast was decent - room TV choices are very good. Lots of charging facility in the room. We liked this a lot compared to other places in Grande Prairie.

Minor comment but breakfast eggs could certainly have been a bit better.

Quiet, location and staff

It is quiet, best location, lovely staff.

I only wish that hotels in Canada would offer better quality breakfast. It is not only this hotel. Traveling a lot you see countries that offer the best breakfasts. It’s just a Canadian standard that could be different and make this hotel stand out.

We wanted to reach out to Management and let them know of their exceptional employee Mae. We were checking out of the Encore suites by Service Plus on July 5th, we checked out early at 6am to get home to Edmonton. When we got to our vehicle we saw that a vehicle had boxed us in and we were unable to get out of the stall to leave. We went back in to let them know if they could get ahold of the person to have them move their vehicle so that we could leave. Mae was so empathetic and resourceful she worked tirelessly to help find the guest to have them come move their vehicle so that we would be able to get out of the stall. I was so impressed with how respectful she was with everyone and her skills of being able to solve our problem with limited resources as guests are not required to leave vehicle information and license plates! She is a Rockstar!!! Within the hour she had found the person and they came down and moved their vehicle and we were able to get on our way. Thank you so much Mae! Hope to see you again next time we come to stay.

We arrived after a long day of riding motorcycles the scenic road from Edmonton - Mae The receptionist Mae was alert and welcoming forthcoming with accurate suggestions and accurate dining reservation . The room was clean and the bedding and towels fluffy and new . Complementary bottled water available. The breakfast varied and plentiful. Drinks warm and cold to suit . The manager’s care to details touched us and Stephanie’s check out receptionist zeal reached us with what had been forgotten . Thank you all for a 10 out of 10 stay ! Fabrice Marcolini -

Beautiful property that is kept exceptionally clean!

The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean.

Unfortunately, the breakfast left much to be desired. The hot food was not good, the eggs rubbery and hash browns so dry. This was really the only thing wrong with the hotel. Chose to eat out for breakfast on the second day.

We’ll we came to check out today. And got double charged, they charged my credit card upon checking in and when we checked out they asked to ask my friend to pay for it. So we got double charged. So disappointing. We came back and they said it was pre authorize when we check in, but that never happened before when we check in here. I just don’t like how the staff in the receptionist did that and make my friend payed instead of paying it in the card that was kn the file.

Beds were comfy.

Breakfast was lack lustre compared to other hotels in the area of the same value.

The staff were great, the rooms were very clean and nice! Great location.

The bed was so itchy, I wanted to scratch my whole body off. Then all night the building was making extremely loud noises, like huge bangs almost like pipes or a furnace and it was constantly happening every 20-30 minutes. Kept us up all night.

I stayed with my family for my daughter's volleyball tournament mar 6-8 /26, the rooms were amazing. But the staff was top notch,will definitely send other friends and family there. The continental breakfast was amazing also

Bathroom tissue was not soft at all. Same with Kleenex. Change in brand or type since previous stays. Only hair shampoo and conditioner provided. No body lotion provided.

Size of room great and having fridge and microwave bonus.

In room bed was beside washroom so when someone went to bathroom light disturbed sleep. I do recall other rooms having this configuration but could be wrong.

Very comfortable and close to everything. Friendly staff also! They had a free dinner on Tuesday night! Delish!

The staff was great. we happened to be there the night of the corporate appreciation and it was great to be able to sit there in the room with the various people watching the Blue Jays game and having a drink and a nice meal. I think the room size is perfect and having a microwave a fridge a sink a coffee maker right there is a bonus.

The only comment I can be negative about was the pillows were uncomfortable. I guess the other thing I can comment on was maybe ensuring that the clock radio is not set on an alarm as we didn't do that and the alarm went off at 3:00 in the morning. Lol

Our room was close to an intersection. The noise of vehicles accelerating from the stop sign was disruptive.

The breakfast was well rounded. The hotel was well appointed and immaculate.

The staff are all very nice but Mae was especially cheerful and very helpful. Her smile & personality made me feel so welcome. Definitely recommend staying here!

This hotel us my go-to when I am working or visiting Grande Prairie. The staff is ALWAYS wonderful, the rooms are spotless and the breakfasts are very tasty. The hotel is located centrally, which allows easy access to all areas of the city. Shopping and dining are within walking distance. My fave place to stay!

For its price range Encore offers a high standard of comfort. My room was spacious and well furnished, with a convenient kitchenette, nice walk-in shower, comfortable bed and good wifi. Two minor defects were the noisy fan heater/AC, blowing cold air in my face, and which I could not switch off without actually unplugging it from the wall socket. How can a newbuild hotel not have proper air conditioning? Oh well, I suppose this remains the norm in N. America. Breakfast was also pretty standard - wouldn't it be nice if the breakfast fully matched the swish accommodation? How about some fresh berries, proper breads, cheeses, salad vegetables, hummus, salami, smoked salmon, vegetarian alternatives? The hotel is located near the edge of the city beside a mall, with easy access and adequate parking.

When we checked in the gentleman behind the desk was friendly and communicative. And he was was friendly throughout the rest of our stay, already taking the time to say hello and all how we were enjoying our stay. The fellow from maintenance was nice too

Clean, quiet rooms. Friendly and efficient staff. Adequate hot breakfast included. On Tuesdays there is a hot snack/appetizer in the main lobby at dinnertime .

Everything was very nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast, as all service these days, was rather cheap. Shrinkflation at is best. But I didn't stay for the food. I recommend this hotel.
