Everything was perfect! The location is the best imaginable, the jacuzzi in front of the ocean is breathtaking, everything was very clean, Janine was so nice and helpful, and to top it off the courtesy wine just makes you feel welcomed!

Nice view from door/balcony, but extremely windy area. Good location to port/shopping/restaurants so a car isn't needed. Nice sunsets.

The door is your only window in the unit. Would recommend some solar lights outside. Very dark at night with the steps/rocks. I would have provided beach towels and a bed blanket. There was only a thin tapestry on top of sheet. No fan in the bathroom which explains some black mold. Also, there were no drawers or anywhere to put your clothes in.

The property was clean and comfortable. Close to everything , bus , ferry, shopping.

Proximity to Chora Town, port, Portara, and the shops and restaurants. Was excellent location for bus transfers as well. Janine who managers the property was excellent and helped with suggestions and recommendations. We made use of the spa bath nightly and it was a great base for island hopping.

Was probably a tad smaller than the photos depicted on Booking.com but that is not the properties fault.

The view and proximity of the ocean was amazing. The hot tub was great and we loved sitting out back listening to the waves. We were also so close to the port and buses that getting around was super easy and it was great boarding the ferry and walking so briefly to our room.

This property was super convenient located right next to the Portara and the public transportation stop which can get you anywhere on the island for a fraction of the price of a taxi. Short walk to Chora town with all of the restaurants and shops. We really enjoyed the attached hot tub to our room with a view of the Portara and sunset and the convenience of the location. Staff was extremely nice and helpful when we arrived and left the property. Would highly recommend staying here!

Parking is challenging in Naxos generally, if you have a hire car, and the entry way is a bit of a wind tunnel, but overall this place is incredible.

La vista unica e la vasca da idromassaggio. Staff molto gentile. Posizione comodissima appena dietro il porto (2 min a piedi) con possibilità di parcheggiare davanti alla struttura.

La nostra stanza non era ben divisa, aveva un bagno enorme e poi un angolo cucina molto piccolo e pochi spazi dove riporre le cose. La pulizia è molto da migliorare, non a livello del prezzo e anche molto umida con tracce di muffa in bagno. L’esterno non si può sfruttare molto perché spesso c’è molto vento essendo totalmente esposto.

Our bathroom did not smell great (sewage smell) that did not go away in the evenings. It was a bit confusing to learn all the manuals in the apartment for how the blinds work.

The cleanliness was appalling. Bathroom wasn’t cleaned. Nail clippings on the couch. Stains on the sheets. Jacuzzi wasn’t cleaned. Mildew on the wooden ladder in the bathroom. Aircon drops water on the bed that wakes you up in the middle of the night.

Great location to the port and old town for shopping and dining.

1) Terrible sewage smell coming out of the shower drain after using the shower. Staff did try to put some sort of scent but that didn't help. 2) While sittng out on the deck having wine, 2 different couples just walked right onto our deck, and onto the next deck, and continued walking like nothing. Definitely trespassers. 3) Tour groups stop right there at the edge of property by the hot tub . . . literally placing drinks/purses on the edge for photos, which was beyond annoying.

Location, location, location. From being walkable to downtown and the port to being in the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset each night without battling the crowds to the top of the hill. This place was everything and more.

I loved this property. It was a short 3 minute walk from the port yet it felt like it was away from the madness as we had the most amazing view overlooking the sea 🌊 and the beautiful temple of Apollo. Janine was AMAZING. Literally looked after us so well with restaurant recommendations and booking taxis for us to Naxos airport. The room itself was beautiful. Pictures online do not do it justice. We’ve already booked again for next year. Do not hesitate in booking this accommodation. Absolutely exceeded expectations. Thank you so so much Janine and the lovely cleaning lady. You are both worth your weight in gold. Xx

Fantastic location, two minutes to walk to town but around a quiet corner with beautiful views of the Portara. Despite other poor reviews, our hot tub was clean, functional, and lovely.

Very cool, beautifully designed / decorated with an amazing outlook over the sea and to the Temple of Apollo. Location was perfect for us, the apartment was very well equipped and Janine could not have been more helpful. A great experience and would liked to have stayed longer - would highly recommend.

No issues or improvements required. Perfect location for visiting the Old Town.

Perfect location for our purposes because it is close to the port but once we were there we regretted that we didn’t book for longer because the accommodation is excellent and the views over the sea, only yards away, are superb. There can’t be many better outlooks in Naxos

Best location ever beside beach with wonderful view of the Portara. The apartments are spacious and really well equipped. The welcome was great and the owners were really helpful when we had a problem. They did their best to resolve our issue and when they couldn't they moved us to another apartment.

The water in hot tub was not clear when we arrived which was disappointing given these are expensive apartments, they knew we were coming and the apartment had been vacant the previous day.

Great location near The Temple of Apollo - Janine was incredibly kind and met us off the late ferry @ 1am to give us access to our room, which was very appreciated. The room was spacious and reasonably priced and near the Old Market which had great bars / restaurants / shops.

We didn't have any views - but we were warned when booking that that was to be the case, so didn't expect any. Only rooms on the other side of the building have views of the Temple, so double check when booking.

The location was convenient. It had a beautiful view.

We had great communication with the owner. We were met at the port and then a short walk to the apartment. As soon as we opened the shutters to the terrace, the view was breath taking. I have never had such a fantastic view in my life. I could have sat and looked at the view all day. I spent a lot of time in the hot tub, just enjoying the view. The apartment had everything that you would need. It was situated in an area close to everything. If I went back to Naxos, I would stay there again without question.

There is very little storage in the apartment to unpack your clothes apart from a hanging rail and a shelf. I had to leave most of my things in my case, which isn't a big problem and I worked with it. I think some kind of privacy between the two apartments with hot tubs would be nice as you dont really want to be in them at the same time looking at each other, some kind of screen. Also even though there is a sign off the beach informing walkers that it is a private area, they take no notice. More often than not when we were sat in the hot tub, people would just walk across our terrace and stare at us as if we were animals in a zoo, not sure what could be done about that.

Kaltes Ambiente, sehr ungemütlich, der Whirlpool ist direkt im Zimmer. In der Küche fehlt so ziemlich alles, was man erwartet. Reine Geldmacherei, schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Die Filteranlage und die Pumpe des Whirlpoos läuft die ganze Nacht, wir konnten wegen des immer wieder beginnenden Läms nicht wirklich schlafen. Das Zimmer ist durch den Whirlpool feucht, unsere Kleidung dann auch.

Writing Portara will always hold a special place in our hearts. From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely exceptional. They arranged the most wonderful driver to pick us up from the airport and take us anywhere we needed throughout our stay in Naxos, making our trip completely stress-free. The room was beautiful, with breathtaking views and the perfect location — literally steps from the sea and the charming labyrinth of Old Town Naxos filled with shops and restaurants. Waking up each morning to the sound of waves crashing beside the Temple of Apollo felt like a dream. Breakfast on the seaside terrace quickly became one of our favorite memories. The room had every thoughtful touch imaginable: robes, slippers, water, wine, microwave, iron, hairdryer, coffee maker, shampoo — truly everything we could possibly need. Every detail felt warm, welcoming, and perfect. And then there was “Max” — the sweet gray striped tabby with one bad eye who unofficially adopted us during our stay. He waited for us every evening when we returned from our excursions and somehow made Portara feel even more like home. This place is magical, and we already cannot wait to come back.

The only negative we found was having to leave.

The only recommendations i have:. Some sort of a nightlight or very dim light for the bathroom for night use, if I had used any of the lights available in the bathroom at night it would have affected the bedroom area. if I had switched any of those lights on I would’ve woken up my husband up sleeping in the bed. But I needed a like to be able to see the steps and the toilet and it was very dark. And a lighter blanket than the very large quilt for the bed. I was cold and that large quilt was too much/too hot. It needed something in between the quilt and the thin bed cover.

Una suite con una de las mejores ubicaciones en la isla, a pocas cuadras del puerto, (llegás caminando). Increíble vista al mar y a la Portara. Equipada con lo mejor para la estadía, incluso tiene para cocinar, todo tal cual se ve en las fotos. A una cuadra de supermercados y de la costanera con todos los restaurantes y cafeteria. La atención de Janine fue increible, tuvimos que llegar antes e irnos despúes por una gran tormenta y ella nos ayudó en todo. Volveríamos sin dudarlo!

Janine, manager, met us at the port and walked us to the hotel which was just minutes away. I felt that was customer service above and beyond! The room was exactly as depicted on the website and it, the view, and location was simply jaw-dropping. The room and view makes us want to come back!!

We had also reserved a room for our friends. Unfortunately, they did not realize the doors automatically lock when it closed. They did do that at night and had to come to our room to wake us. We tried calling every number available to help us and no one answered. We even called booking.com and no one there could help either. Our friends had to end up sleeping on the floor in our room until morning. I strongly believe the hotel needs to put a plan in places so if this happens to other guests they are not left stranded. Fortunately, our friends could sleep on our floor. But what if either one of us were the only ones staying there? That would have been a terrible situation.

Great location. Grocery store, bakery, laundry, restaurants and shops were all just around the corner. Steps from the ferry terminal. It was very easy to walk to the place with our luggage. Room was very clean. Host was accommodating with our needs and gave great advice for locations around the island to visit. Luxury stay with bathrobes and slippers. Bed was comfortable. Rain shower had lots of pressure.

Just a few minor things. Would have appreciated paper towels in the kitchen, and facial tissues and face cloths in the bathroom.

Premium location, 3 min walk from the port where we came in. Very comfortable flat, amazing patio and hot tub overlooking the Temple of Apollo.

No hot water for the entire stay. Cold showers were not appreciated. Told our host bug it wasn’t corrected. Wifi didn’t work - not corrected. Lost water completely for a few hours but not the hotels fault.

The welcoming host was incredible and super helpful, met us at the port and escorted us to our room, even though we arrived on a super windy day! She is incredible, helped us rent a car and explained all the amenities. Was also super responsive whenever we messaged. The location is excellent, you are walking distance to the old town, restaurants, bars, and the port itself. The suite itself is lovely, very spacious and has everything you need from an espresso machine and microwave to an ironing board and hairdryer. The jacuzzi also works well, with a great view from the window. The bed is comfortable and the television is amazing.

Despite putting the jacuzzi in sleep mode, it starts working again by itself after a while. This didn't really bother us, as it was like white noise that sent us to sleep. However, in our last two nights, the keypad outside of our room wouldn't stop beeping and was very annoying, so we had to leave the television on just to sleep. On our last night, there was also a horrendous smell of sewage coming from the bathroom. Though I must admit, I don't think this can be attributed to the accommodation but rather Greece's primitive plumbing. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay so we still believe the pros outweighed the cons. The AC wasn't that powerful, which for guests visiting in April like us was fine, but it might be a different story in the summer..

I chose your hotel primarily to enjoy the advertised jacuzzi. Unfortunately, it was not functioning during my stay. You then offered me the option to use the jacuzzi in the neighboring room, but it had a strong chemical odor and visible mold on the headrests. These issues significantly affected the quality of my stay. Despite this inconvenience, the hotel refused to provide any compensation, which I find highly disappointing given the impact on my experience. I am submitting this review to express my dissatisfaction and to file a formal complaint regarding the conditions I encountered and the lack of customer support.

Location was close to town: shops, restaurants, buses, ferry, all were within reach and that was the best part of this.

The cleaning was subpar... When we arrived we noticed we didn't have any toilet paper or towels, but since we received the room a bit earlier than the check-in time, we thought that was just a small slip. However, during our 6 night-stay, nobody replenished our toilet paper ( we had to go buy our own ) and no fresh clean towels were provided. It was obvious the cleaning is not the strongest point. Everything in the room was dusty and a bit worn out. I find that unacceptable for a property that considers itself "luxury". Cleaning is not a luxury, it is a must. The rooms facing the back street don't have any privacy. Basically there's one terrace for 2 rooms, each with their own jacuzzi. So imagine using that jacuzzi ( that again, nobody ever cleaned ) and seeing your neighbours do the same thing within 2 meters. The back street also seems to be some sort of meeting point for local teenagers during the night, so it can get loud. And if you think the rooms facing the sea are better, please consider that Naxos is quite windy so you might not be able to enjoy your sea view either. This property was really bad value for the money we paid, wished we should've paid more attention to the bad reviews.

Walking distance from the ferry port. The suite was beautifully finished, ultra modern and very hi-tech in a fantastic location. Janine the property manager was extremely helpful and the transition from collecting us from the port to handover was streamlined to perfection along with all the local tips of gems to visit on the island to make the most of our stay.

The kitchenette needs a proper work surface at the side of the sink to prepare drinks and food instead of around the vanity units, also sufficient cutlery was needed and a toaster. The maid service was just to empty the bins. Proper light switches needed at the side of the bed for getting up in the pitch black room so as not to fall down the 2 concrete steps the bed was elevated on.

We had a wonderful stay at Portara Suites! The room is beautiful, very comfortable, and has an amazing view. Everything was spotless and well taken care of. Janine was simply exceptional — very kind, polite, and always ready to help. She took care of everything we needed with great attention and warmth. It was a perfect experience in Naxos for us. 💙

The staff is trully amazing with a welcome.at the port at arrival and excellent advices on restaurants and things to do. The location is fantastic 2 minutes from.the ferry and the city old town 1 min. You can park the car around as well for free. The view is just stunning with the sea and the temple.and the jaccuzi on the terrace. You can swim right in front with dozens of fishes and crsytal clear water. Perfect location to explore the island. The flat is very confortable and well equipped. Good security as well.

The flat condition is a little bit used by the seafront location and many clients so it is a little bit used. There is no soundproof isolation between bathroom and bedroom due to the door itself providing no intimacy.

L'établissement a refusé de nous rembourser la dernière nuit alors que c'est la compagnie de bateau qui a changé ses horaires quasiment au dernier moment, nous empêchant de rester la dernière nuit

The location was excellent! It was close to the Chora, laundry services and grocery store less than a block and Janine was fabulous! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
