Buffet breakfast was adequate but doesn't have the wide choice of some four star hotels like the Santemar, for example. Only two coffee machines, which is not enough when it's busy.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Ottimo hotel in posizione centrale: un 4 stelle a tutti gli effetti, belle camere, tutto molto comodo, ascensore. Colazione strepitosa: offerta molto varia, niente di confezionato, torte artigianali. Personale molto gentile.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026The hotel was a larger, but the breakfast one than we had stayed in for the rest of our trip and as such is a little more impersonal & considerably more expensive, but then Santander was a bigger place and as a port town , this probably puts the prices up.
England were playing in the World Cup and we got to watch the first half in the bar/cafe, but then they just shut the bar without any notice, so we had to watch the rest of the game on my laptop in the room , without another drink. It closed at approx 11.45 as well which seems an odd time to stop serving

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026The location was great for walking to nearby sights in the city, and the breakfasts were very good. The room was large.
When we arrived, we had to completely reclean the bathroom. The toilet still had fecal matter in it. :( The cleaning staff didn't do a good job each day - they did not replace an empty tissue box, and left a bag of trash in the room one day. Overall, the room and furniture looked somewhat worn down. The room AC was marginally effective, which was an issue considering how humid it was. The beds were only average in comfort.

Reviewed Jul 7, 2026Central location and very conveniently located - walking distance to nice bars, restauratns and port! Bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious.
When we arrived in the room part of the wooden part of the wall was fallen and on the floor, and sharp nails were sticking out from the wall. Felt it needs a bit of maintenance for safety.
