Hotel Isaacs Cork City

Location for exploring the town and surrounding areas was ideal. We didn’t have breakfasts but enjoyed a delicious lunch in the restaurant on our last day. The courtyard for evening drinks was perfect.

Room was better than photos on Booking.com and other review sites would have suggested. Check-in experience was great, with the receptionist giving some excellent advice on things to do in the city.

Few maintenance issues that I could have advised the hotel on checkout, but wasn't asked "how was your stay" or similar. Minor items for the hotel's attention - i.e. extremely noisy bathroom fan, very slow draining bathroom sink, room door was very difficult to open with keycard. Also, aircon unit was broken or disabled, so a tower fan was provided and the window was open on arrival - fine. However, the room remained quite warm. Noticed (too late into the stay) that the "open" window had another window behind it (very difficult to open), so there was no actual air coming from the outside. A very silly way for it to have been left.

We got a very spacious top level apartment, fitted with a full kitchen, spacious living room and breakfast bar. The rooms were also clean and comfortable.

Parking around the area is near impossible. You have to pre-book parking down the road for a discounted price through the hotel link. And the set down parking in front of the hotel is limited to 2 spaces and were full all the time.

Very good location. Only 2-3 minutes walk from the city center. Cask is a great cocktail bar.

The bathroom in our room was very small but it was adequate. It didn't affect us but twice I noticed other guests struggle with pulling their suitcases over the cobblestone that is between the street and the door to check in which is up a small side street.

Das Apartment ist zentral gelegen und doch ruhig. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten und Shops sind fussläufig zu erreichen. Die Küche war mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt. Die Wohnung ist ziemlich neu und sehr ansprechend möbliert. Da wir im 3. Stock gewohnt haben, hatten wir auch Aussicht auf den River Lee.

Da das Apartmenthaus keinen Lift hat, mussten wir unser Gepäck via Treppe in den 3. Stock tragen. Im Booking-Angebot ist dies nicht vermerkt. Das Hotel selber besitzt einen Lift.

El apartamento es fabuloso, tiene todas las comodidades, estuvimos en el de tres habitaciones y todas son dobles con camas super confortables . Tiene dos baños, cosa que agradecimos mucho. La ubicación de 10 y el personal encantador.

I stayed at Isaacs with my teenage daughter in a very smart twin room with comfortable (very comfortable) beds. We loved the location on Cork's bustling MacCurtain Street and went for a burger nearby. The fittings and furnishings of Isaacs are real quality - the building is lovely and the location is excellent. The staff were very kind and helpful, they did some printing for me and everything.

We stayed in August and the room was hot and because the bar was directly below us the room was double glazed so we couldn't open the window. We could hear noise from the bar until quite late and had to rely on a fan to keep cool in the absence of windows.

This hotel is in a really beautiful old building on a grand old street in the middle of Cork City. The rooms are generous and well appointed. The bed was so comfortable I took a picture of the mattress label to see if I could get one for home!

The hotel has a lively bar, so rooms on the bar side are double glazed to make them less noisy but this stops any natural ventilation. I have also stayed in rooms at the other side and these are better but both times I have stayed it was very hot!

The hotel is close to many good restaurants and shopping. The entrance to the hotel is through a side alley with a bustling restaurant and an attractive waterfall feature. The place has a nice ambiance and we spent more time there than we usually do in a hotel.

I think the guest room doors slam too loudly when they close. You can hear doors a floor away. A felt or rubber strip in the door jam is all they need.

Close to shopping, tour pickups and restaurants. Apartment style accommodations suited our extended stay in Cork.

Excellent location and the apartment was spotless and had everything we needed.

Practig gezellig hotel met een waterval in de tuin, rustige kamer aan de straat,maar geen hinder. In het centrum vlak bijveel leuke pubs (met Ierse muziek) en restaurants. Goed uitgebreid ontbijt.

Prima studio met alle voorzieningen die je nodig hebt.

Het bed was echt veel te klein en ook nog eens naar een muur toegeschoven (aan de andere kant was een deur). Het appartement lag op de vierde verdieping en er was geen lift.

Our window didn’t open and it was too warm to sleep well without having some cooler air flow. We let them know on first day but nothing was done to fix it before we left.

We stayed in the apartments. Super comfortable, well equipped, great location close to the train station and city centre. Just a really nice place to stay.

The low water pressure in the shower. The noisy pub downstairs. The thick duvet was too hot.

Wir wurden unglaublich herzlich und nett empfangen! Das Zimmer war gemütlich und hatte ausreichend Stauraum. Wir haben die zentrale Lage und auch die Nähe zur Parkgarage sehr geschätzt.

Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. There were multiple breakfast options which was very nice. The staff was extremely helpful on dining and pub suggestions.

Not a fan of the big city, but that isn't related to the hotel. Saw stuff in the city that isn't to our liking. But overall it was a wonderful stay.

Goed gelegen in het centrum van Cork en niet ver van de vlieghaven. Mooie kamer en badkamer, en een goed bed. Vriendelijk personeel, gezellig terrras en een geweldige cocktailbar! Wij zouden hier zo weer opnieuw overnachten!

The bed was fantastic!! Crisp sheets, lots of thick fluffy pillows, great duvet. The room we very clean, and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. I didn't get to eat at.the green room but it looked wonderful.

Room was nice and big. nice view out to the front of the building. bed was very comfortable. Friendly service at check in.

the bathroom was like wheelchair bathroom. there should be a light for the mirror over the sink. At 9am there was very loud noises coming from room next door. we found out it was the cleaners. That noise should be kept for at least after breakfast times are over.

The stairs as we were booked unbeknownst to us at the top floor. Very steep stairs- no lift. Defo could more cooking - basic seasonings. Dirty burnt pan. Dish towels were dirty and greasy. No cleaning supplies and no service for 4 nights.

Ubicación inmejorable dentro de Cork, está en una calle llena de restaurantes de moda pero nada ruidosa. Nos alojamos en un apartamento de dos dormitorios y un baño. El tamaño del apartamento bien, salón-cocina con lo necesario. Buena decoración.

La limpieza, aparentemente estaba limpio, pero había algunas cosas sin recoger de los anteriores huéspedes. En los apartamentos, no hay ascensor, debes subir escaleras con las maletas.

Bien situé dans une rue animée , pas loin à pied de l’arrêt de bus pour Cohb et pour l’aéroport. Les réceptionnistes sont accueillants. Belle chambre.

Ma chambre donnait sur le resto donc le soir musique et bruit mais avec la fenêtre fermée ce n’était pas vraiment gênant 🙂

très bel établilessement parfaitement bien situé, entre le centre ville et la gare, hotel très original, jolies chambres donnant sur le patio interieur, très bon restaurant, on y reviendra certainement.

Gyönyörű a vízesés az udvarban, és szuper, hogy reggeli közben ezt látod. A recepción minden dolgozó szuperkedves és rugalmas volt. Az ágy kényelmes, a szoba mindennel felszerelt: vasaló, vasalódeszka, hajszárító is volt. Eredetileg az egyetem közelében akartunk megszállni, de nagyon örülök, hogy végül a itt sikerült szobát találnunk, mert Cork nagyon kompakt város, minden nagyon közel van, nagyon jó volt minden reggel besétálni és élvezni a várost. A közvetlen közelében, a sarkon két szuper ír kocsma is van, igazi ír élőzenével. A választásnál a másik fontos szempontom az volt, hogy szép, régi épületben legyen.

Nekem nem hiányzott semmi. Mondjuk ilyen árkategóriában még nem volt szállásom :) Ja, mégis: jobban tetszett volna a szoba, ha merészebb színeket használtak volna - a miénk szürke-fehér volt.

The parking arrangements were unclear in the instructions and the actual car park where they have the arrangement with is quite a long way away and still costs a lot of money plus the lifts are out of action until further notice due to building work. The room was quite stuffy with only a small window. However, they had provided a fan in the room.

L'appartamento si trovava proprio sopra un pub, perciò è stato estremamente rumoroso fino a tarda notte. E' stato difficile prendere sonno a causa della musica ad alto volume e delle chiacchiere di chi era al pub.

This is an absolutely fabulous hotel. It's got that Wow factor as soon as you see it & goes to Wow, Wow when you walk into the main entrance. Thereon it remained faultless for us. Staff acted like they were invested in to the hotel, great restaurant, adjoining cocktail bar. Short walk to the station town. A brilliant place to start our Irish vacation.

There was genuinely nothing I could find fault with.

Pretty entry, great - exceptional breakfast.

Misleading- entry with waterfall and resturants on either side are separate businesses. Front desk was irritated by any questions and can't help with basics. Restaurant is not part of hotel so if you need ice or water you have to go to Restaurant and ask which is uncomfortable. No fridge in room so you had to get water and ice every night. Can't keep snacks in room. Desk would not assist with anything and the fancy, high class Restaurant was not happy with us asking for ice, etc while busy. Front desk doesn't want to be bothered and Staff actually made us uncomfortable waking thru lobby - no eye contact- if you ask a question it was clearly a bother. It was hot when we visited, windows in our room didn't open and room was stuffy and hot. Google said a/c but there is no a/c.

Los apartamentos del hotel Isaacs están muy céntricos, hay un supermercado al lado y muchos pubs y restaurantes. La estación del tren está muy cerca y la de bus también. La parada de bus a Kinsale está a 5 min del hotel. El personal del hotel fue muy amable.

El precio de los apartamentos no se correspondía con la calidad de los mismos. Además de no tener ascensor y aire acondicionado (eso ya lo sabíamos), nuestro apartamento tenía las habitaciones muy pequeñas, lo justo para pasar, y la cocina tb y no tenía microondas. Era muy oscuro, el pasillo estaba pintado de azul oscuro, tanto las paredes como el techo y las puertas. En las habitaciones hacía mucha calor, el hotel nos ofrecía un ventilador, pero no había sitio donde colocarlo, y si abrías la ventana oías el ruido de los trabajadores en el patio, pues en el bajo estaban las cocinas (tb te llagaba el olor a comida). El otro apartamento era un poco más grande y luminoso pero igualmente hacía calor. Otra cosa que no nos gustó fue que hicimos una única reserva de 2 apartamentos, pues éramos un grupo grande, con unos meses de antelación, y, al llegar, nos dicen que tenemos los apartamentos separados, pensamos que serían en distinta planta, pero fue en distintos edificios, lo que nos resultó incómodo.

Room was stuffy with no air conditioning. Street very noisy with windows open, double windows kept out noise but made the room stuffy. Staff provided two fans which helped some.

Heerlijk appartement met prima faciliteiten op een top locatie voor bezoek aan de stad en (dag)tochten. Bussen en treinstation op loopafstand. Heel vriendelijk en gastvrij personeel. Het hotel zelf heeft prima en gezellige ontbijt en diner faciliteiten en de buurt heeft ook veel eetgelegenheden. En een kleine supermarkt dichtbij.

I found the bed very hard and didn't sleep great in it.

The only negative was one of the two rooms did not have air conditioning and it was very warm. We did get a second fan from staff when requested. The AC unit had been installed but was not set up yet and it was a very hot/humid couple days when we stayed.

We stayed in the newly renovated apartment accommodations about one block from the hotel. The apartment was lovely and comfortable. Location - windows overlooking the rooftops was not very appealing Biggest downside was that our apartment was on the fourth floor, up many carpeted stairs. We are fit and it was a challenge. The location would be very difficult for many people. Suggest the hotel explain this very clearly when booking.

Fabulous hotel and stylish interiors- particularly loved the light shades from India. Staff were so helpful and welcoming. Great city location and would recommend to anyone visiting Cork.

Absolutely Nothing.

We booked a hotel to find out we were staying about 10 doors down in a flat when we got there with our bags had to climb 70steps with our bags . Got there to find a bed up against the wall reminding me of my college gays and a shot of with no fire exit . This place is a nightmare my partner was so afraid she stayed up for most of the night. I know it may have explained it wasn't on the hotel campus when I was booking but I still was booking on the Hotel Isaac which stated 48 MacCurtain street the worst night I spent in Cork sense I was 18 in the 90s

Sehr nette Leute an der Rezeption und ein sehr schöner Innenhof. Außerdem ist die Lage in der Stadt sehr schön. Zur Straße hin natürlich etwas laut.

Das Zimmer war nicht auf dem neuesten Stand, die Klimaanlage sehr laut!
