Great location, beautiful surrounding and peaceful atmosphere, Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. The room was spacious, clean, and had a remarkably comfortable bed. Food was good and service was attentive and efficient. Special mention to Rahul Ramakrishnan, Eldho and Niveditha. We had a very good stay experience at The Vivanta - Ernakulam. We had by mistake booked the wrong Vivanta and were travelling with kids. The staff and the director of operations - Rashmi Menon were very helpful to make our transfers internally. It saved us a lot of hassle and we were glad that they went out of their way to help us.

Two-night stay in Vivanta. Welcoming staff at reception. Rooms are clean, but mosquitoes were present at night. The food was very good—poor internet connectivity. The internet connectivity is not secure. We were willing to pay extra for secure internet connectivity. We took a train from Kochi to Thiruvananthapuram. We took a hotel car to the Ernakulam Town Station. The driver did not offer to assist us with our luggage to get into the station.

As it was our special occasion the hotel made us feel very special right from the check-in process. Service level from almost each and every staff was typical of Taj standard - service with a big smile. Would like to especially call out Mr Sujith at the restaurant for going above and beyond in organising an ala carte dish (even though the restaurant was offering buffet dinner) that we did not want to miss during our first Kerala visit. However, we were a bit disappointed with the generic upkeep of the hotel. We were upgraded to an executive suite. The window glass offering view of the Kochi harbour was so dirty that we could not take a photo of the harbour. However, overall we were happy with our stay.

It was excellent ambience and view of Arabian Sea. Also easy to walk in native drive and take water metro. Breakfast buffet was excellent with so much of variety local and Non local cuisine. My kids loved them. Also swimming pool facilities were excellent net and clean and open with hot sun.

His proactive approach, willingness to go the extra mile, and ability to handle every request with ease made a significant difference to my overall experience. It is rare to come across such dedication and guest-centric service, and Nitin truly exemplifies the highest standards of hospitality. I would also like to appreciate Kartika and Lekshmi at the front office for their courteous and efficient assistance, always ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience. A special mention to Afzal from the housekeeping team, whose attention to detail and consistent upkeep ensured that everything remained immaculate throughout my stay. Thank you to the entire team for making my visit memorable. I look forward to staying again.

We had a wonderful stay at vivanta marine drive. Mr Nikhil was very helpful during our checkin process and was also generous enough to upgrade 2 of our 3 rooms. Everything was perfect, right from the check in to check out. Will definitely prefer to stay here again when i am back to Kochi.

Mufeed from the restaurant went beyond his call of duty and helped answer all our questions not related to the hotel, where all the reception staff where nice, friendly and polite, 1 exception stood out, Fatima always smiled and was always welcoming/courteous, this really made me feel extra welcome. I will deem this hotel as my first choice if re-visiting Cochin. 2 negative experiences: I ordered omelette and I got a cross between omelette and scrambled eggs (runny), I did not order omelette again during my stay, for a Taj chain, the sunbed mats are broken/ripped, I do not expect Tag Vivanta to use these worn out sunbed mats, they are not expensive for replace and the experience from guests maybe "for such a brand name/wonderful Hotel why are they not spending a small amount of money on the matts".

Love the location and the hospitality. Check-in experience was okayish, in-room dining was par (messes up the order couple of times) and breakfast buffet was pretty decent. Bathroom experience was below par as the WC didn’t look clean when arrived and towels smelled harsh chemicals. I’m not sure if there was a chemical residue which might be harmful to the skin.

Stayed at the Vivanta Taj Ernakulam for a day with spouse. The property is next to Marine Drive with a great view and walking pathway. The check in and check out was smooth. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. We food was excellent with a lot of options to choose from. Overall a great stay.

I am so glad I booked Hotel Vivanta. I was traveling solo as a woman for a work trip, and I not only felt so safe due to the significant security and attentive staff, the staff was so kind that after day four, it felt like a little home away from home. Everyone went very far out of their way to help me with various things, and the location made all my travel both personally and professionally very easy. They are between two options for water transport to Fort Kochi, and I used their private boat jetty for my backwaters cruise. That was very nice. The staff even waited with me for the boat to ensure that everything went smoothly. They did the same thing when they ordered a car for me, so that the details weren't an issue with the language barrier. The room was beautiful, the meals outstanding, and the overall service top notch. I'm staying there again at the end of my work trip and am excited to return. Oh, and for those who need it, the wi-fi is strong. I was uploading footage for a documentary every night, so the wi-fi strength made things much faster. And the laundry service was perfect. The one unique thing about my stay is that my next-door neighbor had an emergency in the middle of the night that I helped with, so I also got to see the staff responding to a medical emergency and they did very well. If I had to give any balance to this, I would say the water in the shower was always a little chilly. One day it was hot, but the other days it was a little on the cold side. And the promenade next to the hotel is a lovely to walk on. I pictured it with a more high-end story vibe based on the way it was described and it's not that. It's nice and very well used and I enjoyed it. It just was a little different from what I expected. Highly recommend Hotel Vivanta.

I have been going to the bar at Taj vivanta for the past 10 years. There is no other place at ernakulam which serves alcohol in such a homely atmosphere. It’s one of those rare experiences that makes you slow down and just enjoy the moment. I’ve had a long standing relationship with this place for nearly 15 years, and over time the staff has become more like extended family. Their service is thoughtful and genuinely caring. They understand your needs even before you say a word, which speaks volumes about their attentiveness and experience. A special mention to their Head, Mr. George, whose approach to customers is exceptional. He is personally involved and ensures every guest is well taken care of and is a true captain of the team. The dedication of Mr. Saju deserves appreciation as well. Last but not the least, Staff like Ananthu, who serves us with a warm smile is the warmth the entire experience. They are excellent at what they do and consistently make every visit comfortable and memorable. This is a place where ambience, service, and human connection come together beautifully. Vivanta Ernakulam is a beautiful hotel set in natural surroundings right near the sea. The sea view from the room is absolutely stunning, especially in the evening. The staff are highly professional and experienced. Compared to other hotels, everything here is much faster—whether it’s room service, check-in, or check-out. The laundry attendant, Raj, even reminded me about the collection timings when I had completely forgotten to ask. The food is delicious with an excellent variety of options. Overall, I strongly recommend this hotel. It’s a perfect place to enjoy Kerala’s natural beauty along with lovely city views.

The hotel location is picturesque and central The atmosphere is sophisticated and yet friendly. The rooms are clean, spacious and have anything a guest can need for a stay and more. The biggest asset of the hotel howler has to be their staff. From the staff on the reception desk, Karthika, Leksmi, Ancila that were answering any of my silly questions with their local knowledge and a smile, to Agnal that used his UPI to pay for a service I needed, were amazing. The staff in the restaurant like Eldho made each meal special. The housekeeping manager, Krishna went above his role when we had a medical emergency. Great location, great people.

I would especially like to commend the restaurant team for their exceptional service and friendly attitude. A few individuals I would like to mention are Shaiju at the Front Desk, who has always gone above and beyond to assist me on various occasions; From restuarant , Shaju, for his genuinely friendly nature and high-quality service; and Eldhose, who is very caring and charming. I would also like to appreciate the ladies at the kitchen counter, along with many other team members whom I will mention in my next feedback. Overall, the entire team, including the Front Office senior managershas been outstanding. I am extremely happy with my stay over the past decade and look forward to many more pleasant experiences in the future.

An overall all-round great hotel in a terrific location with friendly, courteous staff. Loved the dining experience with live music during dinner. This would be my choice if I revisit Kochi and will certainly recommend it to friends and family.

Great location. Great Staff. Food was good. Room is very dated. Strong odor/perfume in the hallway. Tons of mosquitos. Had an event in the Ball Room. It felt old and ancient. Some areas felt like the 1980s. I hope they update the room and facilities. Tons of options in the area.

Office meeting at Vivanta Came here for a Quater 2 cycle meet of our company which lasted for days, on arrival we received a warm welcome form Mr.Nikhil which was really amazing and very welcoming . The whole place is designed and decorated wonderfully and the best thing is cleanliness is maintained beautifully the support staff is also good with communication and skills. Proper hygiene is maintained. I really appreciate the staff and management.

This was my fourth stay at this property. I still keep coming back, primarily for the location and the views from the room. I did not notice any visible change in the entrance lobby or floor areas after your extended renovation, but the absence of the sounds of hammer and drill during the day was nice. Your restaurant staffer Eldho's warm enduring smile and attention is always noteworthy. Same goes for some of the others at the hotel too.

It was nice to stay at Vivanta Ernakulam ( Cochin). Old property but renovated fully now, so expect some limitations. Rooms are neat and clean. Checkin was good and they gave an upgrade which had a good view. Food was tasty and we enjoyed. Room service was fast. Breakfast buffet was good. Kerala dishes were tasty. Joby at restaurant took care of us during buffet and Fatima was serving us during Lunch. Joby was an old timer and is with the hotel for a long time . Very humble and down to earth and such a service makes you feel happy. Staff service was very good overall. In the room, bed was comfortable. Enough drinking water bottles kept and more were brought once emptied. Nice it was. Night dinner we had Fish biriyani and Idli ulli chammanthi. Biriyani was very tasty but the other one few pieces were hard. Nice bar they have with good ambiance but as seen in a previous review, stock issues still exists. Because of Campari stockout I missed my favourite cocktail. Management needs to look into. Margarita was good. The highlight of the property is the location. Bang on Marine drive at city center and very close to shopping areas. The marine drive walkway has an entrance from the hotel and very good for a morning walk of 5 km straight by the side of backwaters. Many hotels and restaurants at walkable distance. The outside area from gate to porch needs to be beautified further to get a wow effect. In all a nice stay well enjoyed. Thanks to the staff.

I had gone for Breakfast and Dinner and I loved the food there. The food is delicious. The breakfast spread was lavish. The North Indian Thali I had for dinner was scrumptious. My wife and I took a short staycation at Vivanta Ernakulam and it was really worth it. The fantastic location on Maine Drive made it easy to drive around town, but the private gate to the Walkway along the waterside was a real bonus. It is safe to stroll and enjoy the breeze and the view The whole hotel had been renovated and the rooms were really nice, with convenient modern fittings, and a nice soothing colour scheme, with all amenities. The complimentary breakfast had a nice big spread, all of which looked and tasted good. The standout, however, was the pleasant, helpful efficient and courteous staff - who made us feel at home. Keep up the good work, Vivanta Ernakulam!

Nice hotel, at a fabulous location. Easy access to nearby islands. Rooms are spacious with all the amenities. They were kind enough to upgrade my room to a suite. Highly appreciated. Quality of food was also good. Staff was attentive and courteous. Overall a good experience.

Had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The overall experience was excellent from the warm hospitality to the prompt service. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained and the location added to the charm with its beautiful view. The food was delicious with a great variety, and every meal was a delight. Special thanks to Ancila and Nikhil from the reception for their courteous assistance and professionalism and to the lady Karthika at the restaurant for her attentive service and cheerful approach. We were pleased to get an early check in after an overnight flight. We enjoyed the complimentary boat trip on the lake. The staff were all very welcoming and the service was great. Food catered to all tastes and I enjoyed all the meals we had here. The view from our room was not the best but we didn't spend much time there as we were busy exploring. The swimming pool looked lovely but sadly we didn't get time to try it. The butterflies in the garden areas were fabulous to watch.
