Customer service excellent, from reception staff , shuttle drivers , food service , housekeeping all brilliant.
I saw 2 cockroaches at the Masala restaurant and that put me off. Thats the only negative comment that I have .
The breakfast buffet, staff, pool and BEACH!!!! The food was OK during the day, the activities during the day were wonderful, and the extra things to do while on the beach or pool was terrific
ordering food while at the beach took a very long time to receive so plan ahead. Some of the food was good and other times it was just OK or not good at all
Le check-in était prévu à 15h00.

Staff were very pleasant. We got upgraded to a villa which was absolutely stunning! The rooms were spotless and beds were very comfortable. Service was 10/10 all around. Breakfast was amazing and freshly prepared.
No complaints
The dining experience really took away from my overall rating. We went to the Dragonfly Restaurant twice. The first time, our reservation was for 7 pm; we were not served the entree until 9 pm. The second was slightly better but still too long. The Windjammer restaurant's entrees were inconsistent; some food was reasonably good, but other was Meh! For example, the Lamb Tagine, a $65 entree, was bland. The breakfast buffet was also downgraded in my rating because the food was lukewarm. It did, however, offer made-to-order omelets and a variety of fruit, yogurt, and oatmeal options. The Indian Restaurant was excellent, as was Papa Don's. The Upper Deck was good, but the service was again slow. I had to remind them to bring my cocktail. The beach service was also very slow. Often 50 minutes between making an order and receiving it. This was partially corrected when I asked a server if I would be better off going to the bar myself, explaining to him my experience with the long delays. He took this as a challenge and proudly brought me my drink within 25 minutes. Even the bar service was slow, but still the best of the lot.

Beautiful views. Upgraded to hilltop villa with infinity pool. Staff often mentioned family name.
I liked everything
The beach is immaculate, facilities are simply amazing. Staff are super friendly and go above an beyond to make sure your stay is memorable. An amazing place to enjoy your honeymoon
Vendors on the private beach constantly hassle you to buy their boat tours. This happens even when you are clearly listening to headphones or reading a book. Also the food is not great quality considering the price. Average food for £150 for a meal for two.
The new spa is AMAZING
all good.
Very generously sized room: we actually had a whole “apartment” with two bedrooms & two en suites. Comfortable, clean, good air con, good shower, lovely shampoo etc (L’Occitane!). Would recommended they introduce refill bottles though, single use plastic is not ok. Beach setup was lovely, really easy to get good sunbeds. Lots of activities available for those that wanted them. We were able to just rent snorkels and take them out with us to other beaches. Not a huge area to swim but this was due to high numbers of sea urchins in one patch; kudos to Windjammer for marking this area as risky rather than removing sea creatures! Parking at the resort was easy, I don’t think many tourists choose to drive in St Lucia (but you should because it’s totally fine and not scary and gives you much more freedom) Taxi service was good when we needed it (ie when we wanted to go out and drink/smoke) Breakfast was absolutely smashing, great choice of things, would recommend small portions and multiple courses to ensure you can try it all! On the whole the clientele seemed like quite nice, ordinary people compared to the high percentage of awful people we observed when we went to the beaches occupied by high-end resorts. Lots of Caribbean people from neighbouring islands arrived to stay for the jazz festival, which was encouraging to see.
Nothing awful, but a couple of things worth mentioning: 1) As others have mentioned, the room isn’t completely airtight to mosquitoes, could have better seals on the doors etc. (The number of mozzies getting in was minimal and one can’t expect to completely avoid them in a tropical climate). This would mean they wouldn’t “need” to fog, which is appallingly bad for the environment and local ecosystem and nobody should be doing this. The chemicals also leach into the sea, which Windjammer claims to be invested in protecting. 2) Food at the resort (with the exception of breakfast, see above) is overpriced and just okay, not great, in keeping with most resort food aimed at tourists. We only ate there the evening we arrived and the afternoon that we left. There were also the most enormous cockroaches flying around in the restaurant and occasionally landing on people… these are also to be expected in tropical places but it was very off-putting and we didn’t see them in any other restaurants we ate at! If you want good food, go local and support small local businesses. You won’t regret it. 3) Music situation in the restaurants was comically bad! They had two live musicians at the same time, with overlapping sound, plus they had left the quiet background music on in the speakers?! The musician where we sat was playing weird pop covers on a violin with a backing track and it honestly sounded like he had started learning violin within the last year. Very distracting if you care about music in any way. We actually asked to be moved from the lovely romantic table they had given us, just to be further away from the music. Also heard zero Caribbean/ local music being played in the restaurant/ bars whilst we were there. The only good music we heard at the resort was from a guy who turned up to the beach on a boat, possibly a water taxi, who had a speaker playing reggae etc.
The service is extraordinary, the staff is very kind. Beautiful view from the villas. Comfy bed, huge variaty breakfast.
Massage ladies were a bit too pushy to go to the Spa.
Absolutely beautiful property and views Balcony is huge and my favorite place to be Restaurants were very, very good Nice beach chairs, plenty of towels Housekeeping was phenomenal
Very steep property with lots of steps Not near the city or other walkable places 2 hour boat ride each way to see the pitons, hikes, attractions etc Average poolside food Pricey grocery store Service at the buffet needs improving
Fantastic location Comfortable and clean lots of activities
One pool needed maintenance Directions to property There was no guidance on website from the main road The signs to the resort were after the directions from google maps sent you to the old back entrance which is impassable The resort knows this It could be solved very easily by more signage before the old entrance route
Everything was perfect! Shuttles were extremely quick. Staff everywhere were very friendly.
Unfortunately, there was an ant issue due to the weather.
@ times the wait time for the shuttle was long.
The location was a little far from everything.
My room was a 2 storey appartment and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a great choice for food options but I would recommend doing all inclusive as the prices are quite high.
There was a cricket/grasshopper screeching every night. I think it was in the air conditioning unit…It made it very hard to sleep. Just something to watch out for when you arrive.
Excellent food at breakfast, restaurants and bars. Amazing beach. Great entertainment. Majority of staff is extremely lovely and very helpful. Overall, wonderful, relaxing stay. I went there 10 years ago and had the best time. This past time, I had an even better time - which I didn't think was possible! Highly recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to St. Lucia. I would not stay anywhere else.
Some days we struggled to get the attention of staff on the beach to provide covers for chairs, or order drinks etc. Turn-down service was around 6:30pm-7pm, but if you were still in the room, you would miss it - as they didn't come back. Don't love how even when you're on the all inclusive plan, you have to wait to sign a bill at the end of every meal/drink.
Clean , freindly, on the beach
It was expensive, everything was in US $ ,
The resort is beautiful, we got upgraded to a 1 bed villa which was spacious and facilities and amenities were great. The view from the balcony was amazing overlooking the sea and mountains. Shuttle service around the resort back and forth to the rooms were great as the rooms are situated up in the hills up steep roads. Staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating. Breakfast was great and lunch menus around the beach and pool area were good. Complimentary water in rooms and around the resort. Overall no issues. Wonderful stay.
Would have been nice to have slippers and robes in the room. The need for better options on the room service menu. Dinner menu had no local cuisine option which was disappointing.
Everything
That I had to leave
This is a beautiful place! The rooms are spectacular, with great views of the water. The staff is amazing and very efficient. The steakhouse restaurant on the beachfront has a really great menu and the food did not disappoint. I think our waiter was having a rough night though. He seemed very overwhelmed. That said, he was the only member of staff in this entire place that has any sort of hiccup. I did have the opportunity to get a massage in their spa and can say it was one of the best I've ever had.
The breakfast buffet is about the same quality as any low level all inclusive. Not great, and very little variety from day to day.
It was a nice setup. The hotel is really beautifully designed.
Most of the staff wasn’t very friendly, especially the women. The food was average and it took 10 minutes to get warm water in the shower.
Location of the property
The service of the staff was very bad
Staff here were excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality. The beach is beautiful and the water sports were an added bonus. One bed villa is spacious and clean. It was in a quiet location and the shuttles up to the rooms were essential.
Food at hotel restaurants in the evenings is good quality but very small portions and expensive. We had a meal in the Dragonfly one evening and it was disappointingly small. Good tasty food but small and overpriced. We would have liked more local food. Other holiday makers commented on food prices too. The curries were good in other restaurants but expensive. Cocktails weren't very strong!
1. Papa dons - decent Italian food 2. Clean and safe swimming pool 3. Prompt shuttle to and from lobby 4. Breakfast buffet 5. Efficient excursion team - shoutout to Carl who organised water taxi journey via Rodney bay
1. No variery of teabag in the room (no kettle either, there is Nesspresso machine that warms up water) 2. Insulation of walls needs improvement - I can hear people upstairs 3. TV needs Netflix connection - it's 2026
Die Lage und Unterkunft ist großartig
We have loved Windjammer for 25 years and the facilities have been improved since we were last there. Food was consistently excellent.
We were there in school holidays and it felt very full. Service was very patchy and slow including one morning a 45 minute queue for a breakfast table and one evening an hour to wait for food. Unacceptable in a hotel of this standard.
Staff were very friendly, the resort was safe, the room was clean, and the buffet breakfast was the best deal every morning. The resort shuttle transportation is a great solution to get around as the property is extremely hilly... the excursion office offers fun to do things on the island.
The Steak restaurant was way overpriced and the mart on the resort is a total price gouge. The spa was way overpriced for a massage...just realize when you are at the resort everything is expensive....
Everything
Nothing
My wife and I waited 15 years to go to the jade Mountain on St. Lucia. Who knew I would like windjammer much better. The rooms were fantastic, but Marcus and Bridget made everything worthwhile. I would stay here again 100 times before I stated any other hotel on island.
Lots of stairs on the side of a mountain
Beautiful location and very well maintained
Nothing
Lovely resort, great staff
Housekeeping missed replenishing items like toilet paper and towels on multiple occasions
l The beach was lovely and kept very clean. Hotel staff were very attentive on the beach, bringing water, fresh fruit, asking if everything was ok, providing fresh coconut water. The breakfast was self-service or food, which suited our requirements, and there was always plenty of it, and lots of choice. The omelettes were made fresh and they were lovely. Dinner was available at a few restaurants on site, and they were all very good. We only felt we wanted to go out for a change for one night. The choices were more than adequate for our requirements, and the quality of the food, cooking, and presentation was excellent. All of the staff around the resort, on the whole, were absolutely lovely. Very polite, kind and inquisitive. Keen to say hi, how are you, enjoy the rest of your day, etc... Really lovely to feel welcomed. The gym and the spa were fabulous. Nothing at all to speak negatively about. The grocery store was more than adequate for our stay. There is also a jewellers and a clothes shop that we didn't visit, but they looked very nice too. The lobby area is very nice. There is a separate excursions office. Don't get caught out, like we did, by the beach sellers. We booked a boat trip with one of them, believing them to be connected to the hotel, as they asked for our room number. They took a deposit of US$100, which was fine, but when we discovered they were beach sellers, not connected to windjammer, we didn't feel safe, and cancelled out trip, losing the deposit. We think the resort should perhaps warn guests of this on arrival. The site was kept very clean and tidy. Even rainwater was blown away by staff. Just a little noisy at times in that regard, but it's hard to manage those issues without noise, I understand that. We only got bitten by mosquitos on one evening, and then was when we ventured out up the coast for dinner. Nonetheless the lovely housekeeper offered to spray our room again for us when we mentioned it.
We thought the villa that we had was very overpriced. It appeared to be one of the oldest areas of the resort. From the outside they looked lovely, but on getting up close, a lot of attention was needed. Loose downpipes, some dirty areas externally, though the whitewashing was clearly done very regularly, as they were beautifully white from afar. The inside of the villa, in some areas left a lot to be desired. We had a two-bedroomed villa with one bedroom and bathroom on one level, and the other bedroom and bathroom on a lower level. We're absolutely fine with stairs, but this needs to be kept in mind when you are booking. The house is also on a fairly steep hillside, again, fine for us, and there are shuttle buses always available. The bathrooms in the villa were both very small, quite dirty in some places. The upper bathroom was very dark, and the lower bathroom was just very small. Sometimes the downstairs toilet didn't flush properly, but I worked it out during our stay. We asked maintenance to visit to address it initially, and they sorted the initial problem vey quickly. The kitchen was very tired too. Very old appliances. Some of the furniture looked very damaged and dated, albeit clean. The doors and windows didn't have the best security locks, but as the resort has security on site, I suspect they see that as adequate. The pool was more like a plunge pool to cool down, but the floor was dirty and the leaves and detritus from the surrounding flora and fauna, gathered during our stay. I had to change the mouldy cushion covers outside too. Some clean ones had been left in the villa, but they were in a cupboard in a plastic bag.
The villa setup gives real privacy and calm, and the resort layout on the hillside feels like a Mediterranean-style village. You use the resort shuttle to get around, but it’s easy and well organised. All-inclusive was genuinely excellent, especially the cocktails. We tried two restaurants and the steak restaurant (The Deck) was a standout. Staff were exceptional: warm, relaxed and genuinely helpful. They also did a thoughtful birthday touch which felt personal. A small but adorable detail: they have cute little sunbeds for kids on the beach.
Not a dislike, but good to know - because it’s built on a hill, you’ll use the resort shuttle frequently, but it’s part of what creates the privacy and views.

Paid for two rooms, given one. Still waiting on a refund. "Extremely disappointed. I paid upfront for two Ocean View rooms, but the resort only gave us one room for the entire stay and said it is considered as two rooms. We were refused to provide a checkout receipt and asked to contact Booking.com. Booking.com acknowledged the issue over a month ago but has completely failed to issue a refund for the room we never received. Deceptive practices by both the property and the booking platform. Proceed with caution."
I like that they brought the SPARKS dog rescue to the cocktail party to let us know about animals on the island.
I don’t think the fire breathers should be putting the kerosene in their mouths.
Special thanks to Lesar/Lisa (check-in ambassador), Liane (from breakfast restaurant) & Terrance (airport pick-up/drop-off driver) for an absolutely fantastic service experience!!! Many blessings to you all.
Beautiful setting, well run, friendly helpful staff, great accommodation and facilities
Not much - its fabulous However Gluten free options on the buffet breakfast and Caribbean buffet evening should be clearly labelled - particularly for coeliac guests
Personeel komt opdringerig over. Hou daar rekening mee
Everything was wonderful!
The hotel should extend the breakfast room at dragonfly
Our final room was okay. Nice view, nice size.
It did not have the beach view as advertised, had persistent ants and a dirty tissue was left in closet. Were not given room advertised and had to fight to get this room. Did not get into this final room until 8:00 pm.
Great property with a lot of facilities by the beach. The beach is stunning.
It is sitting on a hill so it is important that your room is not at the very top of the hill. There is a frequent shuttle service running through reception, though.
Er werd verbouwd tegenover ons appartement
Enjoyed the beach and lots of lounging spots. Variety of restaurants onsite. Liked that we could book island excursions once we arrived. Very friendly staff
1.5+ hrs from airport but that’s the price to pay to reach the resorts
So aesthetically pleasing. So clean, so well put together. Everything practically on your doorstep. Loved it
Nothing!
Villa layout
That there wasn't an adult only pool
The staff were amazing, happy to be there and always a smile. The hotel is well kept and the beach is immaculate, comfortable sun loungers and the perfect setting for a sunset
My requests would be because of the tiled floors throughout the room, it would be nice to have a rug either side of the bed. Also a mirror in the bedroom, by the socket for blow drying your hair.
Great location great staff
The food can be better
Everything was amazing!!!
Love the all inclusiveness of the property. The fact that you get to experience everything without having to leave the property
Was not happy about my room . It looked totally different from the picture when we booked . It didn’t feel clean it needed an upgrade. Plus you can hear everything from the guest next door which was very disturbing.
Amazing views. Friendly staff. Ask Damian and Carnice for coconuts.
Nothing
Service was really good generally. Several issues with room were attended to and resolved super fast and efficiently (eg water,, Wi-Fi etc). Shuttle buses to and from accommodation was excellent with fast responses and the drivers so polite and courteous. Room was heavily discounted so was good value but would’ve been below expectations and poor value if full rate was charged. Breakfast choices good and food at Dragonfly and Upper Deck was very good. Beach was lovely and also quiet. Beach service was really good, until the resort got busier.
Large Cockroaches running around in Jammers restaurant ignored by staff (first we’ve ever seen in any of the Caribbean islands). Service levels dropped when it got slightly busier. Room nothing like photos advertised (old, outdated) but really comfy bed and balcony with fab sunset views compensated for any disappointment.
The meals were delicious the service was great.
