Everything was great except the room’s washroom was very old and not well maintained

It was comfortable and clean. The food in the restaurant and bar was delicious, we tried both locations.

It didn’t have a magnifying glass mirror in the bathroom, so trying to apply make up in the dark was taxing, as lighting in the room was mainly ambient.

Great location, peaceful, close to the Wicklow National Park. Room was very clean, spacious.

The only downside was bed, consisting of two single mattresses instead of king size.

Beautiful restaurant, great service and delicious food. Great golf course.

Layout of the bathroom was a bit odd, but great shower.

The staff were amazing so helpful especially Olga I was a bridesmaid at my brother's wedding and Olga and the other man in charge sorry can't remember his name couldn't do enough for us it really made everyone's weekend so special. The bar staff were fabulous and the entire place was just beautiful

Beautiful scenery and surroundings. We had a lovely view over the course from the restaurant and a fantastic meal with great service. Breakfast was lovely too. The bed was comfortable and clean with good pillows, however it was two twin mattresses pushed together so not as comfortable as a king bed.

The bathroom could have been cleaner with some attention to detail. No air conditioning meant it was very hot overnight.

Badly organised good staff throughout the hotel. It’s a good hotel that could be an excellent hotel with a bit of better organisation and attention to detail by management.

Disappointed thatbthere was nondrawer space in our room. The areas to store clothes were not big enough for two people. The extractor fan in the bathroom was incredibly loud and the cover did not fit properly - when we tried tofix it, we saw that the filter behind had not been cleaned for some time

Wonderful setting at a championship golf course in the beautiful nature of the Wicklow mountains. Easy access and location, close to Dublin. Great facilities, spacious room with comfortable beds. Nice breakfast buffet.

While bedrooms and general areas were very clean, cutlery and plates at breakfast were not entirely clean.

Friendly staff,great views from dining room

A very comfortable hotel located in one of Wicklow’s favourite beauty spots. We weren’t there to play golf but it is very much a golfers hotel. Bedroom was really comfy, a suite with a lounge and balcony plus conveniences like fridge, kettle and coffee machine. We ate dinner in the bar and the food was delicious we had the steak. Special thanks to Marie at reception for her friendly welcome and helpful service.

The location.

Service is poor. Extremely poor. Room service is the worst I’ve come across. I asked for food at 9:40pm after checking in at 9:20pm and all they said they had were chicken and ham sandwich. And when I asked for orange juice the waiter who eventually served it gave it to me at the door, while I had opened the door (and said “come in”) for her to come and place it on the table. I felt insulted. They do not even provide ironing services and guests have to iron their own clothes.

Great location and property but the room was unbearably hot. The hotel was unable to provide a fan upon request, which made the stay really uncomfortable.

It was a beautiful setting right on the golf course. Our suite was lovely. Would’ve been better with A/C & a bigger bed as advertised.

In an unusual heatwave, there was no a/c! The room was stifling hot 🥵 The hotel provided a fan but not enough to generate cool air. In addition, the room was advertised to have a King size bed. We had a standard Queen. I specifically choose hotels for the large bed as my husband & I are tall people and seriously require the size of a larger bed. Booking needs to update this on the description. The included breakfast was standard. As was the dinner in the cafe downstairs. Nothing to write home about. Good but could be better.

It was nice hotel and very well trained and kind staff. Excellent breakfast. If the weather would be different, score would be much better.

There were two really bad things: - no air conditioning in the room. After very hot day the room was so hot that I had to go under cold shower three times during night. We had nearly no sleeping. - very old windows - the only window in the room could be opened only for about 20 cm and nearly no air could come to the room.

The staff in hotel basically ignored us. Had to chase down a menu in the bar/restaurant . Chase down a waiter. Chase drinks... Reception were lovely

Comfortable bed, beautiful grounds

Food and beverage department left a lot to be desired. 30 minutes at the dinner table and not one person came over to take even our drink order We had to go up to the bar to order. Manager and wait staff kept circulating by tables but not actually looking to see if anyone needed anything. The table next to us had to get up and ask where their tea was that they ordered at least 40 minutes earlier and a guest at their table asked where her food was 20 minutes after that, only to be told that the order never went into the kitchen. Breakfast next morning was also poorly attended. Buffet not restocked, hot food was cold and really only one poor girl was working her tail off, and the others were walking around looking busy but actually doing very little. Poor Food and Beverage management here to be honest. The front desk staff were lovely. The rooms comfortable but the heating system was difficult to figure out. Our room was very cold. The lighting was so poor, that I couldn't even read my book.The housekeeping staff were all very friendly and the room was spotless. Absolutely beautiful grounds, super for walks and a haven for golfers, such a pity F&B let the side down so badly. Ps.There were two younger girls working one at dinner and one at breakfast, who were working so hard. They deserve not to be singled out as members of the poor team, they were trying so hard to keep everyone happy but it was too much work for them alone. This review makes me sound like a difficult person to please but I rarely write bad reviews, this hotel could be great, they just need to improve their food offering and service.

Very dated in parts such as the main bar area. Could do with some comfort and warmth such as a fire and nicer tables/lighting. Additionally there was Christmas music playing in summer?? Just needs atmospheric help.
