Hotel Elms Christchurch, an Ascend Collection Hotel

At my workshop

Noisy street

The staff were amazing, room was very comfy, the meals were delicious

Okay, bit pricey .

Nothing

Service was excellent. Rooms clean.

Walls were a little thin could hear neighbors talking.

Service

The facility is a bit dated

I’ve stayed here twice now and would happily stay again. The staff have always been friendly, and the rooms are comfortable, homely and well presented, with particularly nice bathrooms.

On both occasions I stayed, breakfast was served in the bar rather than the usual breakfast area. It wasn’t a major issue, but the bar becomes quite cramped when most of the hotel is trying to have breakfast there at the same time.

Lovely hotel. Comfy beds and friendly staff.

We booked our room months ago and our friends who had booked far more recently had a refurbished room that was much nicer. The lighting was very bright with no lamps to soften the atmosphere. Coffee was a kettle and instant powder whereas our friends had a Nespresso machine.

Convenient to everywhere the price is good the restaurant has great food

Pillows to thick feels like sleeping on 3 not 1

Clean modern

Fantastic staff and good sized room. Could walk to the local gym for a session and having the bar attached to the Hotel made life easy for dinner and breakfast

Our bed wasn’t very comfortable.

The room was spacious, clean and well maintained. The bathroom was well lit and the shower had 2 modes, which was nice.

The 2 modes in the shower did not function perfectly and there was a noticeable drip that came from the shower at times.

Around very good

Food needs attention

While the inside was clean you could tell it hadn't neen used in a while outside had smoke butts in a pot and spider cobwebs like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time and one dead plant

having to pay for Netflix not enough sugar or coffee a cold bathroom

Great position with a restaurant and the food was divine. Staff helpful, friendly and efficient.

Location Very handy for what we needed

All good

Staff very friendly. Restaurant menu value for money and good selection. Bed extremely comfortable and room was really quiet.

Da falta de café da manhã como opção a ser incluída de forma acessível, na diária.

O café da manhã era muito caro e mediano.

Great sized room. Lovely to have a bath. Two big beds and sky tv. Flew in to attend a function being held there, really great to just wander along the corridor afterwards. Function was well catered and on used was perfect.

Beds were comfortable, room was clean and it was very quiet. Just what we needed. We enjoyed our stay so much we decided to stay again a second night. On the second night we decided to eat in and we ordered the steak and chips with mushroom sauce and a side salad. The steak was perfectly cooked to our liking and the chips were what chips are supposed to be. Perfectly seasoned, crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the outside. Needless to say after a hard day, it was exactly what we needed. Thanks so much.

Nothing. Liked all.of it.

Just a good all round place

Großes Zimmer, sauber, gutes Frühstück und sehr freundliches Personal.

Location was handy. Very friendly staff and very tidy premises. Room was good size and very clean

Warm and cozy, good parking.

Extremely comfortable beds and pillows. I did not miss my own bed at all.

Nothing.

Great location close to a variety of food locations.

Bar and restaurant staff the last morning of our stay wasn’t friendly when redeeming our drink vouchers. It was a total inconvenience to her.

Stayed many times, comfortable rooms with all you need

Clean and tidy

Convenient and good for conferences

Great location with a lovely restaurant on site. Room was comfortable and staff friendly - highly recommended

Very accessible for us live out of chch

Nothing

Friendly staff to welcome you to the Hotel, comfortable rooms and bed with great eating facilities at the hotel so you can dine in and not have to go out for meals..

N/A

Good selection of food. Really helpful and friendly staff.

Nothing

Good location, clean, modern.

Everything was good, the only issue we had was the blue lights from the modem? That lite up the room brightly all night.

Beds comfy , Heated towel rail enough power points and good space for bags Lots pillows

Two people staying but only one thick towel the rest were thinner Towel rail above toilet (even with lid shut when flushing means they aren’t really clean but realise short of space ) Toilet seat in room 307 not properly attached - just a note for future maintenance

Clean tidy and very comfortable

Na

Lovely rooms best we’ve stayed in, in Christchurch reminds me of Novotel. Restaurant food was amazing.

Parking was a bit hard to get if it’s a full house

Great staff. Good room. Hotel was nice, tidy and clean. Would definitely stay here again. Close to shops and easy to get to.

Loved that you couldn’t hear any traffic noise.

Having a restaurant improved the experience. Loved the breakfast and dinner selection. Conveniently close to shops and close distance to where we were travelling.

Quiet, spacious, super comfortable beds, the upgraded rooms are superb, great restaurant and bar, friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended. It is a hidden gem!

Everything

Nothing

The staff were very helpgul, the room was lovely, warm, comfortable, very clean, the bed was great.

The wifi wasn't fantastic though. Free and good Wifi isnt hard to do, there are brilliant people out there building good connectivity solutions thesdays - poor wifi isnt a cost thing anymore, its about good consultation with people who know what they're doing. Try Wifi guys - if they still exist as a business. They manage tge Wifi for Coast to Coast through the mountain range - they can fix it easily.

Very comfortable rooms and bed The food at Fig was very well cooked and presented compliments to the chef's. Will stay again

Good for mobility access

Temperature in room kept changing. Beds were too soft.

Clean tidy

Rooms comfortable, bathroom needs a serious makeover.Get rid of the bath ,very dangerous for elderly. Not enough hand holds.put in a shower.

Two queen beds in each room made for a comfortable stay.

Would have liked breakfast to be included in the price.

Very comfy bed and everything i needed thanks.

I struggled to get something on the TV as the cable had been disconnected from the aerial. However, I was able to cast TVNZ+ Perhaps it had been disconnected, as it may have been analogue. However, it would have been nice to watch the normal TV, not just casting. Thank you for listening.

the bed is super comfy and the compact room I had this time is very good fdor a short visit.

there is a bit of noise from the passage way
