Really good hotel.
Good beach and really good restaurants.
Loved all of it! Family had fun, great food, friendly and helpful staff.
I wish it had an all inclusive package.

El trato del personal
The breakfast is very good and plentiful, with several local food options. Beach games are included in the price, and the hotel facilities are beautiful and spacious. Parking is very convenient; valet parking is not required, and you have access to your vehicle throughout your stay. There are also several dining options available every night without having to leave the hotel grounds.
The pool was not kept in the cleanest condition, and the bottom had several damaged areas that could even pose a safety hazard. No one was collecting the empty cups around the pool areas, which resulted in a lot of trash accumulating by the end of the day. The rental bicycles are in extremely poor condition, to the point that guests sometimes need to be transported back by golf carts. Housekeeping did not arrive at my room until 6:50 p.m., just as we were getting ready to go to dinner, which essentially meant that we received no housekeeping service that day. Although the breakfast is very good, there is not enough seating for all the guests, so you often have to wait for a table. There also do not seem to be enough servers. One day, we saw guests eating their breakfast without water or juice because there is no self-service option, and they had to wait for a server to bring the drinks to their table.
The location. Quiet and away from the San Juan traffic
Took too long to check in. The prices are the bar are crazy. Paid $11.75 for one single corona bottle. Never went back for another drink.
I had a great experience! Davianette, Laura and Diorenis were the staff that help me a lot. They were very patience and understanding with all my needs. They even gave my family a great food and hiking recommendations.
The rooms and the grounds were very nice and well maintained.
There is very limited beach and it is very rocky in and out of the water. This is not an enjoyable beach destination, very nice resort
Todas las instalaciones super limpias. La piscina excelente. Los restaurantes y la comida excelente. Tranquilidad absoluta. Descanso seguro.

JAILENNE was the best!! I came with all my friends and family for my bachelorette party, and jaienne accommodated us and we had to best time I could ever ask for. This place is so great and you will get the service you are looking for. This is a high end resort and Jailenne is someone you want to be taking care of you and your family during such a special trip in your life.
The resort was beautiful. We had an amazing time. Employees treated us like family. Super recommended. The room was clean, the restaurants were delicious, the pools, bar, everything was top notch.
Hotel and private Beach are beautiful! Paradise! The hotel is On end of island so far from tour locations. You can ask hotel for assistance ahead of time to get Cars. Lyft is an option but need patience and extra time as the island isn’t as efficient with Lyft. Food at hotel is pricey so look at menus in advance. There is a small 24 hour market with light eat options as well. Hotel is amazing - only downside is food options and location $60-$70 each way to other parts of island.
Rooms are very acomdate, is a place were you can disconnect and have a real vacation very relaxing place. Food and restaurants are very good
Worst hotel I have ever been in. Prices are outrageous. Luxury is nowhere to be found. This is a 3* hotel at best with 5* de lux prices
Excellent resort with very nice facilities and awesome location. Slightly understaffed as there was a 20+ minute wait to talk to the front desk agent during check in as well as when asking questions. I also wish they had an all inclusive option, covering food and beverage.
We had an amazing time from the moment we arrived until the last dusk drink at the pool bar!!
Hotel was amazing! Ramon González at the pool lounge/bar area was totally on point and knew exactly who we were! Ask for him and tell him 1606 sent you!!!
If you want a great cocktail, Jennifer Diaz is hands down the best bartender that I have ever had, she made the experience 10x times better and every single drink she make was phenomenal. When you go to the main pool, definitely ask for Jennifer. She is absolutely great and makes every drink with care and attention.
Beautiful resort. Great beach and pool. Many amenities. Rooms were very comfortable and large. Most of the staff were helpful and friendly. Tip was automatically added to the checks along with services fees and taxes. There is also a self parking fee and resort fee. This was excessive in my opinion. It is centrally located as well.
Amazing hotel! Comfortable room for 5 people, very big and clean. The beach at the hotel was beautiful, the pools very big, you can use kayaks and paddleboards for free.
Lovely hotel, albeit a fair distance from Washington when the traffic is bad. Super golf course and great pools. Sadly the beach had jellyfish so no swimming in the sea.
During our week stay at the resort the fire alarms went off a total of 4 times during our stay. I remember one staff member telling me that they were testing the fire alarms around 930am. Once the fire alarm went off @130am in the morning. I have no idea why this happened. When I tried to call the front desk the phone just rang & rang without answering at all. Overall, it wasn't a bad place to stay, but whomever the engineer is they need to get their act together and test the fire alarm system at an hour which is between the hours of 11am - 4pm. The staff was very friendly, but I must admit the $100.00 daily hold on my credit card for incidentals was asking a bit much for a whole-week stay. Eventually by Thursday Hyatt had released the hold on my credit card. I really would like to give this resort another chance and so should you. Your experience will be very different then ours Lord willing.
Had a great experience at the resort!!! We loved all of the things to do and the relaxed location of the resort. Their staff was amazing and we hope to come back in the near future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wanted to recognize the exceptional staff. Every employee we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The bellhop provided excellent advice for visiting Old San Juan, including where to park and the best route to explore the city, which made our day much easier. The woman overseeing the beach and kayak activities was knowledgeable, professional, and kind. The resort grounds, pools, and common areas were immaculately maintained throughout our stay. It was clear that a great deal of care goes into keeping the property beautiful, and we often saw staff working hard to keep everything clean and well-maintained. The beach was one of our favorite beaches in all of Puerto Rico. It was beautiful, relaxing, and a wonderful place for our family to spend time together. What stood out most was how genuinely kind everyone was. From the bellhop to the activity staff to the team maintaining the grounds, every person we met seemed to take pride in making guests feel welcome. Every interaction we had was positive, and the staff consistently went out of their way to be helpful, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay. Food and beverage prices were definitely on the higher side, but that’s to be expected at a luxury resort. If you’re looking for a high-end vacation experience with excellent service, beautiful grounds, and a wonderful beach, this resort delivers. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation in Puerto Rico.
We had an amazing stay at Hyatt in Puerto Rico! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and surrounded by stunning scenery. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and spacious, and the amenities were excellent. We especially enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, delicious food, and all the activities available on-site. Every detail helped make our trip memorable. We left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to coming back. We highly recommend Hyatt Rancho Grande to anyone visiting Puerto Rico and looking for a wonderful getaway!
Staff was friendly special a/o to Tanya at the main bar she was the sweetest by lobby the staff was very helpful very informative I love love love this place will definitely stay again if your thinking about booking hurry up it’s beautiful.
The beach! It’s quiet and peaceful.
I was confused about how exactly is the trolleys scheduled so I walked almost all the time
From the moment our family arrived, the front desk staff treated us very well. We were given an early check-in, and I believe they noticed we had a child with a disability and assigned us a better room. The transportation staff was very polite. The pool bar staff provided excellent service, and the waiters at all the restaurants were very friendly. I have no complaints; it was one of the best service experiences I’ve had in Puerto Rico.
the coffee, only 12 oz in the market or molido
Property was was clean, picturious
It had absolutely nothing to offer/do other than swim and golf.
The room
More amenities would be good
I want to start by saying that the customer service was excellent. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely tried to help. Unfortunately, the overall stay did not match the premium price we paid. When we arrived, our room had several cleanliness and maintenance issues. The curtains had visible stains, the bathtub had dirt and stains on the bottom, and there were hairs inside the tub. The bathroom also had a very unpleasant odor. We reported it, and although someone came to address the issue, the smell returned shortly afterward. Another major issue was that the refrigerator did not work properly. We were traveling with our two young children and brought yogurt and juice for them. The yogurt spoiled, and the drinks never stayed cold. We reported the problem, and while someone attempted to repair it the next day, it made little to no difference. The TV experience was also disappointing. Streaming services like Netflix required using Google Chromecast, which is not very user-friendly for iPhone users. As a result, we were unable to enjoy the TV during our stay. The restaurant prices were extremely high. A simple Puerto Rican meal consisting of rice, steak, beans, and fried plantains cost about $44. On top of that, a 16% service charge was automatically added to the bill, and we were still prompted to leave an additional tip. One of the biggest frustrations involved breakfast. We were traveling with our 1- and 2-year-old children, who were sleeping. We asked if we could take breakfast back to our room, but we were told it was not allowed and that breakfast had to be eaten in the restaurant. Waking up our sleeping children or leaving them alone in the room simply wasn’t a reasonable option. Lastly, I booked through American Express Travel and expected to receive the late check-out benefit that I had been told would be available. Unfortunately, that benefit was not honored. Overall, while the staff was outstanding, the hotel’s cleanliness, maintenance, and value for the price fell well below expectations. If you plan to stay here, I highly recommend renting a car and eating outside the resort, as the on-site dining is very expensive.
My husband and I booked a last-minute trip here for his birthday, and since it was our first time visiting Puerto Rico, we wanted a resort with plenty of amenities where we could relax between exploring the island. Check-in was quick, easy, and efficient. We were taken to our room by golf cart, and our bellman was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a King Garden View room, which was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was a highlight, with a large walk-in shower, a separate toilet room for added privacy, and even a 65-inch TV. The pool was the standout feature of the resort. It's a beautiful lagoon-style pool with plenty of space and a swim-up bar, making it easy to spend an entire afternoon there. On our first day, we ordered lunch by the pool. The food came out quickly, the portions were generous, and it was exactly what you'd expect from good poolside dining. I'd give it a solid 3.5/5. We also received two complimentary mojitos at check-in, and they were absolutely delicious. We ordered room service one evening, and it was very consistent with the poolside food: generous portions, quick service, and another 3.5/5. The servings were so large that we couldn't finish everything. Our only frustration was that the room didn't have a refrigerator for leftovers, and we hate wasting food. Although we spent much of our trip exploring Puerto Rico, it was always nice coming back to a clean, comfortable room at the end of the day. Our only real complaint was the flooring. The room is entirely tile, and after showering it became quite slippery. Even a small area rug or bath mat outside the shower would make a big difference for both comfort and safety. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The friendly staff, beautiful pool, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location made it a great home base for our first trip to Puerto Rico, and we'd definitely consider staying here again.
the tranquility, the cleanliness of the rooms
food was very expensive
I paid for the Oceanview room so I could sit on the porch and watch the ocean roll in at night and during the walk directly on to the beach. Three days in large fences went up restricting everyone from the beach in front of my room and building. We lost access and view and no one could tell us why. I finally found out from the pool people that a corporation was having a private party and took up just about all access to the beach. WTH??? I had 2 days left on my vacation, no direct access to the beach and my view now became a portable bathroom and a generator. No more clean smell. ,just the smell of generator gas burning in the night and it was loud and drowned out the tv since they were directly in fron tof my room. Don't waste your time with this resort. The staff were very pleasant and the cleaning ladies were exceptional. Too bad the Hyatt Regency big wigs didn't care about the individuals who paid for their rooms for the location, ease of getting on the beach, and view.
This is a beautiful resort in a lovely setting by the ocean. The pools, rooms & grounds are well kept. The service is exceptional! I would definitely recommend!
Lobby área
Our room got locked from inside but no one was there
The place is paradise on earth. Personnel make the difference. Jacob, Edwin and Ramon are kind and professional. Highest recognition and appreciation
The resort offers many amenities including spa, beach access, multiple pools, multiple on site restaurants/markets/quick dining options, paddle sports and golf nearby. While nice, some of the areas look a bit worn and could use updating. Attention to detail is not a focus. After rain and storms, there was a crew picking up vegetation debris but not picking up trash like plastic cups or food wrappers. They have individuals cleaning the pool furniture, but not picking up the trash that has blown behind the cabanas. This is an overall nice resort, but I've stayed at nicer resorts for the same price in Curaçao and other islands. Staff are friendly however one experience baffled me as a guest. I entered a coffee shop on site and two employees were talking off to the side of the walk up order kiosk. I went to kiosk and started to place my order by the attendant who looked over at the employees uncertain if to take my order or not. I asked to two employees if they were ordering and apologized if I went ahead of them by accident- again they were not in front of the kiosks. They said they were going to order. I offered to let them continue and I would wait. They both went ahead of me. Many resorts I've stayed at have employees trained to always put guests first. In this situation I am not trying to imply I am better than employees, just attention to high level service. Puerto Rico is a nice island but not sure I would return.
Hotel is beautiful. For what you pay I would have expected better customer care and attention to details. Why should I have to call Housekeeping daily. The check in and check out line is far too long. The food and beverage was average. I travelled with a large group to a wedding and we spent a significant amount at the Hotel. A small token beyond those awful, cheap mojitos would have been great. I expected so much more in terms of customer care and attention to details.
Excellent lodging accommodations, very friendly staff and excellent food. The nature surroundings are beautiful.
We just got back from a week at this resort and loved it. We’re a family of 4 with two kids, ages 5 & 11 and for us, it checked almost every box, which was a win as far as I’m concerned. The pool is the MVP and we spent most of our time there. We liked that with how it was designed, you could carve out your own little area and it never felt too crowded. And it was nice with other families there as both girls made great Vacation Friends. The pool bar is cool too although they ran out of the Bliss Lager on our first day, which was a bummer because it was pretty good. Actually all the places did, which was odd as it was pitched as their main beer. The other MVP was the Lobby Bar. Great atmosphere, great service and great food. We ended up eating dinner there twice and got lunch from there a couple of days as well, bringing it over to the pool. The kids loved the pizza. On the last couple of nights, there was live music and that was a lot of fun. Other restaurants: Nectar’s: pricy, but really good and worth it. Sand Trap: the one miss of all the spots. Sleepy vibe and the food was pretty bad. Brasserie: Solid, good Italian food, although the atmosphere felt like a cafeteria as it weirdly didn’t have any music playing. We didn’t mess around with the other places but sure, they seemed nice. There are two beaches- the main one and the sneaky one. There is a reef about hundred yards out that makes the water feel like a lake, which is okay but makes it a little boring after a while. Kayaking is a nice way to break things up although the staff will comment on your daughter singing Moana songs and no, the comments won’t be positive. We weren’t super keen on that. We went with the two bed room and it was perfect for us. Although the lack of hooks was weird and annoying. There was nowhere to hang anything wet. I didn’t understand that. The staff are delightful and helpful. The tour desk is cool but we opted to rent a jeep (there is a desk for that) and do the rain forest on our own instead of doing the tour as it was cheaper and gave us more time to explore. We also took an Uber to old San Juan, which was super cool. Oh and another MVP was getting food delivered from Walmart, mainly breakfast food and snacks. That helped save some money as the market is pretty pricey. Overall we loved it and would definitely recommend it. But do your homework as it is a bit expensive and things add up.
The resort is pretty but I fear that’s all cosmetic and superficial. Things like Comfort and accommodations are lacking. Truly Disappointed. The room could use better maintenance. The mattresses were heavily worn with a noticeable dip in the middle, and everyone in my family woke up with back pain after sleeping on them. The pillows were also very old and had lost their shape and support, making them uncomfortable. The shower had visible black mold, which should be addressed. Overall, the condition of the room did not meet our expectations specially for a resort, and updating the mattresses, pillows, and addressing the mold in the bathroom would make a significant difference. Now this portion of my feedback is more opinion based. Amenities were OK but basic nothing special or spectacular to make the hotel stand out. Parking spaces are tiny while consistent with similar parking spaces in the island, the resort could’ve easily spare a few inches to make it better for guess who are clearly traveling with bags and equipment. Some nights my son and I had to exit the car before my husband parked otherwise we would risk not being able to fit thru the doors or hitting the vehicles next to ours (even when we are not heavy set people) I can only imagine someone who is heavier or more built. Location wise, if you value privacy, this is excellent as is very secluded and guarded. However, it is about an hour away from San Juan and about 50 min away from the ferry to go to the smaller islands.
I had such amazing experience!!! Overall this stay was everything and more for a girl celebrating her birthday! I had dinner at Nori and they made me feel sooooo special! From Anthony's VIP treatment and attention to every detail to Emmanuel whipping up one of the best Hibachi meals I've ever had I couldn't be happier!
We had a beautiful dinner! Service was great & not rushed Camille was very attentive! Definitely amazing for a resort dinner❤️ Sushi was fresh and the edamame may have been our favorite we’ve had. Highly recommend, prices are also great no complaints!
Hyatt Regency was one of the best resorts I have been to. It was relaxing, I loved the different options for pools and beachfronts. The food was amazing- we had the breakfast buffet, Nectar, and the dinner offered at the same restaurant where they host the breakfast buffet. The staff were naturally friendly, nothing felt forced. The views were immaculate. The rooms were beautiful, I only wish I had more time to stay inside! Too much outside that we didn't want to miss. I would definitely stay again, and I would totally bring my child, and nieces and nephews.
Richard and Pedro at the Martini Bar are magicians who can craft whatever your heart desires!
I had an amazing experience. The sense of community between the staff and how thoughtful they were about each detail was very impressive. The breakfast buffet is an amazing experience, better than a cruise. Carlos makes the best omelettes. The hospitality of the staff was remarkable. I had such a relaxing and fun with my family. The facilities provided an excellent setting to enjoy nature.
This is quite remote part of the island, we had a little trouble getting deliveries accepted through UberEats and Walmart as drivers didn’t want to make the drive. It’s a come and stay type resort, just keep in mind. Beautiful facility, spacious rooms, 3 available pools on site and beach access but it was a bit seaweedy when we went in mid June. Main pool has many shallow 1-3 ft areas for children to play in. Meals are expensive on site so heads up.
Stayed here with Family in first week of July 2025, Hotel rooms are really clean and hotel staff is very supportive. Private beach is clean and beautiful. Swimming pools are also awesome. Free Kayaking also available. Free complementary drinks are also available. There also onsite activities available like cycling, pickle ball, tennis Etc. I really had a wonderful stay at this hotel with my family. I reached this hotel one day late because my flight got delayed and also opened up a case with them by submitting all documents for a refund but after multiple follow-up I stopped following up with the Team.
We were waited by Carlos the pool guy. He did a great job matching the vibe of the table and I really enjoyed my meal!
Me and my friends had a blast here! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, Carlos from the pool specifically was very funny and attentive, and he made me and my friends feel very welcome.
Amazing meal with great service. Angelo was attentive and had wonderful recommendations. My spouse loved his steak and I was thrilled to have the vegetarian option of cauliflower steak. Definitely recommend!
First time to PR and the resort exceeded my expectations! It was extremely clean and the rooms were beautiful all around. Lots of things to do like restaurants, game areas, events, hammocks, 2 pools, a beach and a spa! I got my first massage ever and I was NOT disappointed. You also get access to the spa facilities before and up until 5 pm the day of your booked service! I could go on and on, but it was a great stay! I would love to return.
I can't really say that there is anything to complain about. It was a beautiful stay and if there was anything we needed, it was easily taken care of.
It’s beautiful and clean.
It was a long distance between our room and the lobby/parking so we had to walk a lot.
The relaxation and resort experience
Nothing
The room was large, quiet, the bed was very comfortable
There was no balcony to enjoy the view
The beds were very comfortable and the staff at the front desk were extremely helpful.
There was an issue on our last night which did not allow us to sleep almost the entire night. The police arrived and staff were in and out of our building all night. Extremely disruptive, wee were offered a mere $50 for the inconvenience.
Everything
Maybe can have an option to include buffet through booking
Excellent
The property grounds are beautiful, with a very nice beach front and a large main pool with pool bar and several other small pools to choose from depending on your vibe. The rooms we stayed in were large and updated nicely.
The restaurants/ food could be greatly improved for this level of resort!! Being more upscale -there needs to be better quality food if charging those prices. We went off property several times to eat. This property has a lot of potential with the location and grounds but please step up the Restaurants! This would be the reason that I would hesitate coming back even though I loved the property. Also having a bar at the quieter adult pool would be nice
The rooms and facilities were generally clean, and the majority of the staff were very friendly. Its proximity to El Yunque is a major plus. Even at high occupancy, the resort never felt crowded. Highly recommended for families.
Although there are multiple food options, in general the food was overpriced and some of the restaurants were simply not good. The wine was not very good, either.
Everything was beautifully decorated. The cleanliness of the property truly set a great standard for me. It was genuinely a wonderful vacation and the location itself was breathtaking. They treated me incredibly for my birthday. 10/10.

Huge pool, good breakfast. Very nice landscaping but I guess that also leads to mosquito/no-see-um issues, they do have golf carts that can shuttle you around. Self parking is pretty convenient because you can park closer to the bungalows. The hotel recommends renting a car and I’d agree, it’s pretty far out of the way but super straightforward to get to. Rooms were pretty big. Was able to add a rollaway bed and a crib to our premium king room.
No-see-um bites were intense, always have to use their bug wipes before going out. Beach is incredibly rocky but that’s due to the coral reef. No waves either. Room floor was all tile, which got slippery when wet. They’re very generous with their pool towels though. The size of the resort can be an issue, we were able to get a close room to the main building but I can’t imagine being at the far end if traveling with kids. Housekeeping sometimes didn’t restock certain things but could call the front desk and they would send us more than what we needed.
It’s on the ocean and a reasonable distance from the airport.. close to the rainforest which is good for activities.
It’s older in need of major repairs and /or tear down,.. the layout is awkward and villas far from the main building.. felt like timeshare rentals. Restaurant service had mixed up staff ..
Staff were very friendly and attentive. Beautiful property, nice size rooms
Food was not to the standards expected at Hyatt Regency with exception of the 1787 steak house restaurant. The bathroom, while large was not in the condition expected at this price level.
Great location, plenty of activities to do during the day, but not much of entertainment or amenities at night, rooms was clean, and spacious, food and drinks was overpriced, except for Nectar restaurant, service was exceptional and staff was excellent and super friendly
The general layout was great
It had zero vibes - felt like a conference centre
My wife and I came in just for one day at the end of our trip. It was the best day from our two week trip! We spent a relaxing day at the pools and exploring the grounds. It is such a nice property. Our favorite part was our ending breakfast at Prime 787. Our waiter Amaury was the best service member I have ever had! He was genuine, authentic, helpful, and a very kind man. The other staff Keneth, Yonielgz, & Ivonia, were equally great!
The property is gorgeous including the rooms in front of the ocean. Loved the spa as well. They mistakenly served us pistachio after we explained my son's nut allergy, a lethal allergy for my son so we advised the team to list that allergy on the menu as it's the #1 allergy for kids. Yara the f&b manager was very gracious and they were very apologetic. Kyaris M. and other staff members were very accommodating the following morning w free breakfast. We will definitely come back.
Yesenia at the kids club was amazing! She made our daughters feel so welcome w her hair braiding. Little things go the longest way - thank you
Sam Hernandez was super helpful and gave us advice and plan ideas for Puerto Rico.
I had a really great experience! for the second time in a row. The staff were super nice and welcoming, especially Jorge the bartender he was great. The drinks were made perfectly, and everything just felt really good quality. I’d definitely recommend it!
Jorge was amazing! He had such a great attitude, was very friendly, and made delicious drinks. His recommendations were spot on. I would definitely come back because of his service!
Sam is very friendly and good food
