Our new favorite hotel!! We cannot say enough good things about the Atlantis Bay Hotel. It was perfection. From the beautiful rooms, fabulous restaurants, wonderful and friendly front desk, concierge, housekeeping, bell staff, absolutely everyone we encountered was pleasant and helpful. The hotel is stunning and set along the calm sea with a large pool and swimming platform, deck, restaurants and boat dock. Rooms were large and pleasantly decorated with large terraces overlooking the bay. They also had lovely welcome amenities, beach bags and everything else you’d expect from a 5 star resort. The restaurants and breakfast were 1st class and the food and service was exemplary. Loved the entertainment at night by the charismatic piano player. There is no beach, (don’t let that stop you!). but there is direct access into the warm and calm sea from the beautiful teakwood deck. We almost chose their sister hotel, The Sea Palace next door but our tour company advised us that Atlantis Bay was definitely what we were looking in a 5 star hotel. We felt beach at the Sea Palace was shared with too many hotels and was way too crowded for us. The Atlantis Bay pool and seaside swim deck area were sheer perfection and had a sense is calmness and serenity. The location of the hotel is wonderful too, just a 5 minute walk to the cable car which takes you directly into the center of Taormina’s main plaza. We are already planning to return to the Atlantis Bay next summer and will be counting the day until our return!

Unbelievable throughout. The sun loungers are right next to the sea and you can jump straight in from the bar. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun. The staff are beyond great.

Great location overlooking a lovely bay, 5 minutes walk from the cable car up to Taormina. Very stylish, our deluxe room had been completely refurbished. Lovely pool which we never used as the sea was amazing, crystal clear water accessed from a bathing platform. Really good service, food was excellent, particularly breakfast, and the food and setting at the water’s edge at Flame restaurant with the josper grill was outstanding. We loved being down by the sea during the day and up in Taormina in the evening.

We loved every minute of our stay at Atlantis Bay Taormina. From the moment we arrived, the service was above and beyond — genuinely attentive without ever being intrusive. The views from the property are spectacular, but the true highlight for us was Mermaid's Cove — the private beach and swimming area tucked right into the hotel's cliffside setting is unlike anything else in Taormina. Swimming there each day was pure magic. Our room was beautifully appointed, and the balcony/terrace was made for lounging with a bottle of local Etna wine in hand — the hotel was more than happy to bring glasses, a chiller bucket, and even open the bottle for us while we were out (via a What's app request) so it was ready on our return. We did hit one snag: our first room, 606, sits on the lobby floor right between the elevators and the lobby itself, and we were woken at 5am on our first morning by a steady stream of foot traffic and suitcases rolling across the tile floor in the hallway. It's a shame, because the room itself is lovely with a massive terrace — but unless the hotel finds a way to soundproof that hallway door, I'd steer clear of rooms 602–606, which all share that same noisy stretch. To their credit, the hotel moved us right away to another beautiful room on another floor, and from that point on everything was perfect. When we return to Taormina, Atlantis Bay is the only place we'd consider staying — it wouldn't even be worth looking at another property.

If you really want to go to Taormina (which struck me as an overrated place), Atlantis Bay (AB) might be a good option. The first decision to make regarding a hotel in Taormina is whether you want (and are willing to pay for) a beach hotel or a town hotel; the former are much more expensive. The best things about AB are the staff — always friendly and attentive —and the rooms, which appear to have undergone some renovations, such as the bathrooms and closets (despite the Deluxe Room looks smaller than the one's photo in the hotel´s website). Beyond that, I didn't find much to rave about, considering the hotel's cost. It faces the sea, but unfortunately, the view isn't pleasant, as part of it looks out over the outskirts of Taormina, including roads and a railway line. Additionally, all the the hotel could be more charming in many, many details. Important: be prepared to see a 5% surcharge on the booking total at the end — a charge that is technically optional. This struck me as improper, even if optional; any cost associated with the booking should be disclosed at the time of booking.

I was a bit worried about the location of the hotel before we arrived as the last two times we have been to Taormina, we have stayed in Taormina itself, but I needn't have worried. It was a short walk to the cable car and doing this journey up to the town added to the holiday as the views are spectacular. Yes, you have to queue at peak periods but the queues go down quickly as they run the cable car continuously rather than every 15 minutes when it gets that busy. There are also some shops at the bottom of the hill for gifts, sandwiches, and the all important Pringles for the balcony in the evening. I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. From the time we arrived, to the time we left, everything was spot on and the staff so friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful welcome from Florencia on reception who took us to our room and explained what and where everything was and how it worked and our bags had arrived before we did. I take medication that needs to be kept cool and she cleared out the mini bar for us (apart from the Limoncello), so there was ample space for it to be kept safely. We booked bed and breakfast and didn't eat in the restaurants at night, but we did have room service on a couple of occasions in the evening and that was great for us as we only wanted bar food. This was delivered and cleared promptly and efficiently. The sun loungers were so comfortable and there was a "beach bar" with lounger service if leaving the loungers seemed like too much trouble, (which it did), and you could also sit in the beach bar/restaurant to eat as well if you wanted to. Everybody was lovely from the waiters to the Salvataggios who looked after everyone's welfare at the pool and down on the beach level and they were more than happy to keep my medication in the kitchen fridge as it would have cooked by the pool or sea. The ladies who cleaned our room twice a day were also really friendly and we managed to communicate with my basic Italian and their basic English, and our room was absolutely spotless. In short, the service, surroundings and the staff were second to none and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. However, despite all that, there are two people who stood out for us and helped to make our stay extra special. To whomever looks after your Trip Advisor page at VRetreats, please make sure you let Loredana and Teresa know just how outstanding they are. The view for breakfast is already stunning, but these two made each breakfast just that extra bit special with their warmth and how they looked after us. Please let them know that the fridge magnet and the photo is on my filing cabinet in the office at home and whenever I have forgotten what a lovely holiday I had as work is too busy, too annoying or whatever, I just look at their beaming faces and they still make me smile and I remember that holiday feeling all over again. They are a credit to your company.

This hotel was utter perfection from start to finish on every level! We absolutely loved our stay. The setting of this hotel is just sublime. The sea access was incredible as was the pool. We never had an issue getting pool loungers. The hotel assisted us incredibly with our special diet requirements. The staff were all fantastic and the service was amazing. A shout out to Sylvia for our initial welcoming. She is so professional! We can’t wait to be back!

There is a reason why Atlantis Bay is a Leading Hotel of the World. Once you arrive, you’ll maze through a beautiful labyrinth of a cave like wonder. The view from your room is simply jaw dropping and amazing. The Atlantic Ocean, the sunbeds, decorative umbrellas, and the twin hills is such a sight to see. The hospitality was amazing and people were so kind and helpful. The pool was gorgeous and again, nothing really beats the view. It’s conveniently near the Mazzarò cable car to head into town. One small critique is the breakfast. I think this should be included in your stay. It is at other LHW resorts (that I’ve been to). Leaves a bitter taste in your mouth when guests have to pay for breakfast.

We have had a lovely holiday at this beautiful resort by the sea but what has made it extra special is the staff. They cannot do enough for you & so friendly. The breakfast team are excellent & the manager Hamza was so friendly & efficient, always smiling & great at his job we loved him. The Atlantis Bay is the best hotel I have EVER stayed at and I would 100% come back! The staff are incredible, they remember every single detail and are very polite and attentive - I have genuinely never met a better team of people! The rooms are gorgeous and the location/views are breathtaking! This hotel is 100% worth a visit and I’ll be recommending to all my friends and family. We just spent a week in Atlantis Bay and it truly is an amazing hotel. We loved our stay but were disappointed that we could only score it 4/5 due to an issue with the room. Overall the staff and service in the hotel is top notch. Every single member of the hotel crew is genuinely pleasant. No request is ignored and they engage so well with the guests. The food for breakfast and dinner (see separate Nui review) is as good as any hotel. The lunch at the pool/beach is also very good. The hotel facilities are great - all focused on the pool and beach areas with paddle boards available to use and they also arrange e-foils and boat rides. There is plenty of seating at the pool and ocean areas, but no real beach. Direct access to the sea from the platform area. At night Carmelo is the local entertainer and is really good fun. Cousins with everyone guest and every singer and loves having duets with guests from all over the world. Our only disappointment was the room, and specifically the balcony. We paid a 30-40% premium for an Executive Suite Sea View which is their highest level room. The room itself was fine with separate room for our son and lovely bathroom. However the balcony area was tiny and one of the smallest in the entire hotel. It bore no resemblance to the on-line pictures, got no sun all day, and was directly above the hotel utilities. We weren’t able to enjoy the balcony at all and it was the main reason we paid a significant premium for the room. We spoke to the manager, who was very pleasant, and she explained that they have 3 executive suites and only one has the large balcony shown on line. Overall Atlantis Bay is a real treat for a luxury trip to Taormina. You just need to be careful with room selection and check specifics with hotel beforehand. Thank you all for a great visit.

Perfect stay and perfect staff

We had an outstanding time at our stay. Not only is the property the best in the city but the staff on every level is fantastic. Professional , kind , anticipation any needs you won’t beat the service. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The food was also perfect. If you want to have memorable location with the highest service come here. It is also located perfectly for the trolley.

We were initially going to stay higher up in Taormina but ended up staying on the water at AB and have zero regrets - it was one of the most beautiful and well-serviced hotels at which we've ever stayed. The views from the rooms, the pool, the beach are just stunning. The restaurant serves a gorgeous breakfast and is an incredibly romantic setting at night for dinner. Every member of the service staff is so friendly and so eager to be helpful. Bathrooms are incredibly well appointed and turn down service provided special little updates every night. Location is extremely convenient to the cable car. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Incredible location. Directly on the water and a short walk to the cable car, which takes you directly to Corso Umberto, the main shopping strip in Taormina. Away from the busyness of the city of Taormina while also being in close proximity. The atmosphere is peaceful, and extremely well maintained. The rooms were impeccably clean and hotel staff came by our room twice a day to straighten up and leave extra waters for us. While being a very expensive hotel, they do everything they can to exhibit hospitality in every way. This is a premium experience for a premium price. The noise level was very quiet, and the hotel piano player Carmelo was a delight in the evenings if you want to hang out and enjoy some live music. Oreste and Pancrazio were so accommodating and made us feel right at home on the water. Giulia and Giuseppe were very welcoming and helpful any time we had any questions. There is nothing like sitting by the beach all day and having staff come by asking if you want drinks, getting to order food, and relax for the afternoon as you get to swim in the sea or the pool. There are no bad views here - everything is beautiful. I truly cannot think of a better place my wife and I could have stayed to spend our honeymoon. We’re already thinking about how we can bring our family back here someday! Also - DO THE UNFORGETTABLE WELCOME on the website!! Our driver was so kind and welcoming (I wish we could remember his name), as well as our boat guide, Antonio, was incredible. I won’t spoil it too much, but on a day when we arrived where the water conditions were perfect, the unforgettable welcome was truly unforgettable.

I could not wait to write this review - Atlantis bay is the PERFECT destination for anyone looking for a blissful waterside retreat! I highly recommend the “unforgettable welcome” boat ride in - Antonio took us in to the grotto and it was truly unforgettable! The staff at Atlantis Bay is exceptional - Pancrazio was always there when we needed water or a plate of French fries, asking us while we sat by the pool or bay and bringing the items right to us. Oreste and every other staff member in the dark blue shirts (whose names I wish I had asked) that helped us set up towels and the stand up paddle boards are delightful and helpful, we had lovely chats every time we sat by the water, with our needs anticipated before we had to speak them. The breakfast is absolutely worth it - they have every food you may want (Italian and American-style breakfast options) and it is all delicious! The staff remembered that we drank a lot of water the first day we went to breakfast and would bring us an extra bottle without us asking - it felt like they got to know us over the five days we stayed! Giuseppe, Giulia, and Frederica (and all other concierge staff) were extremely kind, helpful, and professional. They held our bags so we could enjoy the amenities at check-in and took everything up to our room once it was ready. We were also able to enjoy the amenities after we checked out while we wait for our flight. The staff also organized a taxi to the airport for us, which helped make the start and end of our trip as easy as possible! Taormina is accessible by the Funivia cable car only a 5 minute walk away - I highly recommend anyone wanting to visit Taormina stay here as you can still enjoy the busy city environment while having a home at the water to relax. We had the most incredible stay at Atlantis Bay for our 10 Year wedding anniversary. The staff went above and beyond to spoil us any way they could. What amazing staff! We had a private dinner booked that exceeded our expectations. The food was superb, fresh and we are still thinking about it ‘til today! We dined at every restaurant at the hotel; Flame was our absolute favourite. 10/10 perfect! We cannot wait to return to Special Atlantis Bay with our children.

Beautiful Hotel directly at the Bay with amazing views, breakfast and Service. The personnel was lovely, the hotel restaurant really good and the private beach area cozy and quiet. Taormina city Center 10 min away by car - ask for Georgio, he was driving as around the whole time including to Catania airport :)

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the bellman Walter and he was so kind. Then we were greeted at the front desk by Florencia. I have to say she was the sweetest person we have ever been greeted by at a hotel. We arrived at 8:30 am so she took us down to breakfast to make sure we were taken care of. After that we sunbathed in one of the most beautiful decks where service was impeccable. Giulia, the concierge, gave us the best recommendations regarding restaurants and always updated us via Whatsapp.The whole trip was amazing and we can't wait to come back. My wife and I can't wait to come back.

We had an amazing one-week stay and everything exceeded our expectations. The view was absolutely stunning and made every morning and evening special. The service throughout our stay was exceptional — the staff was always friendly, attentive, and happy to help with anything we needed. A special thank you to Sonia and Giulia from reception, who made our stay even more enjoyable with their kindness, professionalism, and warm hospitality. They were always welcoming and ready to assist with anything, making us feel truly cared for throughout the week. The food was outstanding, with every meal being fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. The rooms were spacious, spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained, making us feel relaxed from the moment we arrived. Overall, it was a perfect experience and we truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. Our stay at Atlantis Bay Hotel in Taormina was nothing short of exceptional and truly one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. From the very beginning, every member of staff was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. I spoke with many different members of the team prior to booking, as I was specifically looking to reserve the Presidential Suite for a very special occasion -I was planning to propose to my girlfriend during our stay. I booked directly with the hotel because I wanted everything to be perfect, and the team went above and beyond to make that happen. Carlotta, the Event Coordinator, was amazing in helping organise everything behind the scenes. The hotel assisted me in arranging a violinist, a décor company, and even helium balloons for the proposal evening. Cristina, the violinist, created the most beautiful atmosphere during the proposal and made the moment even more magical than I could have imagined. Unfortunately, we experienced significant delays arriving into Catania Airport, but even then the service was outstanding. The hotel’s driver waited over four hours for us without complaint and still welcomed us warmly on arrival. Once we reached Atlantis Bay, every member of staff greeted us so politely and made us instantly feel relaxed and cared for. Throughout the entire stay, every single member of staff was wonderful. They helped me keep the proposal a complete secret and supported me every step of the way. The Concierge and Front Desk teams were exceptional at arranging restaurants, bars, and recommendations for us, always greeting us with genuine warmth every single time we walked through reception. What really stood out was how personal the service felt -the staff would always take a moment to speak with us properly, which created a real relationship rather than feeling like just another guest at a hotel. A very special thank you to: - Giuseppe at the Front Desk - Giulia and Daniele from Concierge - Silvia and Davide at the Bar - Carlotta, the Event Coordinator - Cristina, the violinist And an especially heartfelt thank you to Francesca Pinto. She dealt with a few issues we faced with such grace, professionalism, and kindness. She even allowed me to keep the room keyring as a gift to remember the hotel and the exact place where I proposed. She also kindly offered my partner and I complimentary spa massages and arranged for us to use a beautifully refurbished room with a huge balcony before heading to the airport, allowing us to shower, relax, and get ready comfortably after our spa session. That level of care and hospitality is incredibly rare. The views from Atlantis Bay are absolutely stunning, and our balcony became the perfect setting for one of the most important moments of our lives. It genuinely felt like a home away from home. We cannot thank the entire team enough for everything they did for us. We will absolutely be returning to Atlantis Bay in the future, and we will always hold this hotel very close to our hearts.

We stayed at Atlantis Bay in May 2026 for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely perfect. Our spacious balcony suite had a breathtaking ocean view. The entire hotel felt like a private oasis, far from other hotels and crowds, so peaceful to return to after a day in Taormina. It’s just a three-minute walk to the cable car, which was so convenient. From the moment we arrived, the valet took care of us, and every staff member was exceptional and professional, a special thank you to Walter, Giulia, Tiziana, Lori, Luisa, Davide, and Lorenzo (and many more, couldn’t remember everyone’s name). Giulia helped my husband arrange surprise flowers that were so beautiful! The breakfast was incredible with so many options. Dinner at the restaurant was a delight, and arranging excursions was seamless. We took a hour long boat tour through the hotel and it was awesome! The hotel smelled amazing, the cleanliness was impeccable, everything was just fantastic. We can’t wait to return!

This hotel sits in a sheltered spot on a very pretty bay and we loved our week long stay. Our room on the 5th floor was very nice and we enjoyed the spacious terrace with an amazing view. The room was spotless, beds very comfortable, quality linens on the bed and the housekeeping staff ensured that the room was serviced to a very high standard every day. It was quiet at night and we slept very well. We enjoyed our breakfast experience overlooking the pretty bay, all staff were attentive and professional. The quality and variety was fabulous. I loved my omelette made to order every day. The pool is on the small side but the temperature was good. The staff at the pool and the sea were wonderful and we felt pampered with their service. I particularly love swimming in the sea so I was a bit disappointed with the access to the sea with not enough rungs on the ladder to easily enter and exit the water. Another small gripe was to see broken tiles at entrance to the toilets. We really had a relaxing holiday at this hotel, every member of staff , reception, porters, housekeeping, pool and restaurant were polite, courteous, hard working and professional ensuring that their guests had a great stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and genuinely accommodating, which made the whole experience feel extra special. The hotel itself has an elegant luxury feel throughout, with stunning surroundings and excellent food. Set within its own beautiful “mermaid” bay, the location is absolutely breathtaking and an Instagrammer’s dream. A special mention must go to the Reception team, and especially Sonia, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We would return in a heartbeat!

The rooms were elegant, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, and every detail throughout the hotel felt thoughtful and luxurious. The private beach area and access to the water made the experience even more special. The location is perfect as well, with easy access to town while still feeling secluded and relaxing. What truly elevated our stay, though, was the exceptional hospitality. Sonia was absolutely incredible throughout our visit — warm, attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. She went above and beyond to make sure every part of our experience was seamless and memorable. Her kindness and recommendations made us feel so welcomed, and she is a huge reason why this trip was so special to us. Atlantis Bay exceeded every expectation we had. If you are visiting Sicily and looking for a luxurious, relaxing, and unforgettable experience, this is the place. We cannot wait to come back!

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the Atlantis Bay. From the moment we arrived to the last minute before we left we were looked after by all the members of the staff. They were very profesional, friendly and always available to help. A special mention for the reception staff, in particular Sonia, Guilia and Florencia and the staff around the pool and bathing area. What a weekend! My girlfriend and I spent three days in this wonderful property. The rooms are beautiful, with a view over the Bay of the Sirens. A special thanks goes to the entire bar staff, especially Viviana and Francesco. They served us at the beach bar, telling us the story of the bay while we enjoyed delicious cocktails. L’emplacement, les pieds dans l’eau, la grande gentillesse de l’ensemble du personnel, sans exception, la qualité des prestations en chambre ( literie, produits, attentions…)

Das Atlantis Bay liegt an einer romantischen kleinen Bucht. Etwa 100m vom Hotel liegt die Talstation der Gondelbahn, welche ins Zentrum Taorminas führt. Das Personal ist freundlich.

Das Badezimmer ist im Verhältnis zur junior Suite eng. Die "freiwilligen" Trinkgeldzuschläge auf der Schlussrechnung von 15% bzw. 5% für Service bzw. Roomservice sind zuvor nirgends erwähnt. Größere Transparenz wäre diesbezüglich kundenfreundlicher.

This hotel was so beautiful and the service was amazing. Everyone working there was so kind and helpful, we felt very welcomed. The breakfast was amazing every day. The views were incredible. The concierge organized a wonderful tour of etna. Only downside was that the air conditioning wasnt individual by room, they had to have it on for the whole hotel or nothing.

I stayed over 200 times in Leading Hotel properties around the world in the last years but my recent stay in Atlantis Bay really stands out. After not booking via lhw.com my wife and I arrived at the hotel with a booking confirmation but that made it not through to the hotel. It was obviously not the hotels fault but Francesca and her team at the front office made everything possible to get the problem solved so that we can enjoy the stay in this fantastic hotel. Francesca gave us an upgrade to a fabulous suite with an unmatched view. Breakfast was exceptional. Service was outstanding. I cannot recommend more Atlantis Bay for a stay in Taormina.

Cleaning Staff is not to be trusted at all. Belongings go missing and there is no accountability. they show up knocking on your door all hours of the night. Some are in uniform and others are in street cloths. They will always tell you there is no camera or it was out of service when an incident occurs.

Great hotel with superb cliff location, excellent breakfast with a fantastic offer of premium pastries, beautiful sea views and staff very attentive.

Pool is not heated so no longer usable in October. Parking at 40 eur / night was more expensive than the rental of the car total costs. City is quite far away, reachable only by car or cable car.

Excellent hotel, location and staff. Daniele (one of the concierge) was great, he arranged everything we wanted with great detail and we couldn't be happier. We had a wonderful stay here and felt very welcomed & cared for.

The room is excellent big and luxurious the bathroom is also big not tight like most hotels around. The restaurant is 5 star the waiters are very professional and polite and cheerful i had a good experience with mr. Stefano, mr. Lorenzo, mr. Cateno, and miss Gusy . I would like to thank the concierge. The hotel location and everything worth the the money you spend .

The hotel is beautiful with excellent sea views. We stayed in a junior suite which was lovely and very well serviced. Breakfast was 5 star with a wide selection of hot and cold dishes. Dinner too was delicious. Staff were fantastic - always going the extra mile to make the stay memorable. A special mention to Sonja at reception, Luisa and Inez at the restaurant - who were outstanding!! A very big Thank You for those personal touches. Highly recommend the hotel.

5 stars awarded for wonderful location, memorable views, welcoming attitude, attentive outstanding client focus & service, rooms and quality of breakfast. Nothing is a problem for team serving its guests. Delighted to be upgraded to a suite. 4 stars for restaurant lunch & dinner.. good quality I judge to be over priced.

Superb location and very professional staff, Daniele at the concierge desk was amazing in welcoming us and explaining everything about the area and recommended some great excursions, the yacht experience was by far the most memorable. Would definitely return.

We spent three nights at the Atlantis Bay Hotel in October. Having previously stayed at the Grand Hotel Minareto, our expectations were very high. However, we can confirm that they were fully met. The hotel's location is perfect. It's in a beautiful bay and only a short walk from the cable car that goes to Taormina. The staff, whether at reception, in the restaurants, or housekeeping, were always very friendly and professional. I would particularly like to highlight the phenomenal breakfast and also the restaurant where we had lunch. The food was delicious and we enjoyed it very much. We can highly recommend this hotel to everyone and will definitely return again.
