Very cool people and great community and good food thanks
Location was good
The property is dated and in various states of repair and disrepair. The night club was closed and half the hotel seemed under construction. The hotel is also designed in island towers of 3 floors with 6 rooms stemming from the centre. With the humidity and the fact the cleaners use buckets of water to mop, the floors are a slippy mess layer at night. This resulted in my partner falling and landing on her face splitting her head open. The room was also not the cleanest with mould and dead bugs.
DO NOT RESERVE IN ANY DECAMERON HOTELS. The entire experience from the beginning has been absolutely horrible. There is NO AIR CONDITIONING anywhere except in the reception. The rooms are disgusting, outdated and not maintained. You will feel like you are being cooked in any area with food due to the lack of air conditioning and the ovens/grills which also brings up the food sanity. The receptionists don’t answer the phone, the security guard at the entrance was literally sleep when we came in. This is a sad excuse for a hotel and you are being robbed if you come here. Save your money and the headache. Book anywhere but in Decameron.
The service and food is ok, but the hotel is in a poor condition!! It really needs a hand: no good mattress, with the rain the water gets in the bedroom. The water were shut off for a few hours! It really needs a good administration
The personal and attention was good, the buffet food was unexpectedly delicious, even better than the booked restaurants they offer.
There is zero information about the hotel facilities and what they offer for the all inclusive, we realised that we missed few things just because the hotel at any moment share any sort of information with guests, there no even small doc with the info, no a single word during the checkin, is sad as this is crucial to enjoy a pleasant stay and getting the best value for the money you spent. Related with the rooms, all was in good shape, a bit old but functional, I feel that with some small renovation this could be a 10 out of 10 however I have to say that it reach an strong 7 just cuz of that, specially the AC, which worked but was not cold enough to get a very nice sleep.
Not to my expectations . The place needs an upgrade and 10:00 pm it was dead . Construction in the day..no night club. WiFi was horrible. I don’t believe l will go to any Decamaro Hotel. To be honest. .. The People at the Restaurants / cleaners/ Hillary at Customer Service was very professional..Your Hotels need Maintenance/upgrade .. it’s a very beautiful location.. But my friends, this is 2025… not 1940.please put bi-lingual at the receptionist desk.
Everything was really bad! No wifi in the rooms, no AC in the restaurant, bad conditions, hours for eating, so you don’t found always something to eat, in the middle of the shower the water stop, every door in the rooms have an opening at the bottom, ( so of course how the room can be cold) the lights in the hallway don’t work really well, sooo sad was my experience!!
Only the location
Extremely disappointing – not worth the price at all We booked an ocean-view room and paid a premium expecting a quality experience. Unfortunately, what we received was far from acceptable. The first room we were given was in very poor condition: the air conditioner barely worked and made a loud, constant noise, the room felt damp and unclean. We asked to be moved and were told we’d get a new room the next day. They relocated us to a room in the “new building,” which we assumed would be an improvement. Sadly, it was worse. The room was constantly flooded, the bathroom had a terrible odor, there was visible moisture on the walls, and water was dripping from the ceiling. It was impossible to rest in such conditions. The facilities are in serious need of maintenance, and for the amount of money we paid, this experience was absolutely unacceptable. No one should have to sleep in a flooded room under these conditions. I’ve stayed in many hotels, especially in Colombia, and this has been by far the worst experience I’ve had. Poor value, poor infrastructure, and a complete lack of quality control.
All inclusive ok para alimentação, porém bebidas horríveis. Não me hospedaria novamente.
O acesso a praia privativa é incríveeeeel!
I recently stayed here and was a bit disappointed with the overall experience. The facilities are not in the best condition—some areas look quite worn and in need of maintenance. The rooms are very basic, offering minimal comfort. The staff was a mix of very friendly and helpful people, but unfortunately, a few were not as pleasant, which impacted my stay. One particularly negative aspect was the presence of the Multivacaciones staff. They were quite insistent—at times even annoying—with their constant attempts to sell their vacation plans. These offers should be made through digital channels or at official offices, not directly at the hotel. It was frustrating to learn that the same trip was being offered at a significantly lower price through these promotions, after already having paid a higher rate. Considering all of this, I wouldn’t recommend this place. You can find more modern facilities and better service elsewhere for the same or even a lower cost.
This is not an international quality all inclusive resort. It is more like a Best Western with a view. The front desk service was horrible. They were indifferent. I asked four times on the first day to get towels put in our room (not a single towel was given to us) and to repair the broken phone. After four days, the phone was not fixed and we weren't even updated on it. Just "tough luck" The food is buffet style and decent, but not the quality you would expect from a "resort". There is no real beach, just a wooden boardwalk near a designated swimming spot. Housekeeping came once in four days. We had to keep snagging towels out of the linen storage closet. Views were nice, the pools are beautiful. the alcohol is pretty blah. Their idea of a coctail is half a paper cup of fruit juice and a shot of alcohol. If you are looking for a few days where you can hang out by the beach and not have to worry about going to a restaurant, this might work for you. But do not mistake this for a resort. It is a midlevel hotel with delusions of grandeur.
The property is well located about 5-10 min walk from all the restaurants and main attractions.
The service from this hotel is probably one of the worst service I ever experienced. The property is in very bad conditions. I stayed in the new building on the fifth floor. The water will run for 10 seconds then stop running for other 20 seconds. After I complain the maintenance guy mentioned that the pump was not strong enough. The curtain of the bathroom was to high and every time we shower the bathroom would get totally wet. One day they did room service they took all the towels and didn’t put new towels. I called the reception and the phone didn’t work. I went downstairs and it took two hour to bring the towels. They said is all inclusive, however there is not drinks or food in the room. There is not room service. If the breakfast finish at 10:30 am and there is not food at 10 am they do not provide more food. Honestly, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.
The property is very old. Room was very small and the bathroom was in very poor condition. The shower water was not consistent. Would fluctuate between hot and cold? Also, the bathroom sink was not secure. If I leaned on the sink, it would almost fall off the pedestal. Also, in order to reserve dinner or visitation at another property, you had to use your phone to make reservations when the portal opened at 8:00am. There should be an easier more convenient way to make reservations. Overall, not a good experience. Wont be staying at this Decameron again.
A very old hotel, with a very basic food, the restaurants where really difficult tu reserve and had a really bad food, the sncks and buffets were basic but good, they hadgood alcoholic drinks, basic activities and a bad actitude of the personal
The place is not as nice as it seems. The front staff members are not very friendly and helpful and the Decameron app doesn’t work well which makes it difficult to access to all of the amenities that they promise you. The staff at the restaurants and the cleaning staff are amazing they were friendly and left everything looking spotless
Came here 10 years ago , it was my #1 resort to go . February 2025 , I’m back again right now and telling you , the resort is a piece of crap. Don’t think about going in the sea , they won’t allow you to go, lifeguard should get fired , absolutely no access and really don’t care about travellers , freaking bad attitude , locals don’t have any respect , food is very lame . Alcool taste like ethanol . And the room , so much to say about it , lights don’t work, steady water temperature, you can dream about it . Ac dripping right on toilet , humidity in room will make all you clothes smell like a damp dog , mold everywhere, nothing against the cleaner he does the best he can but resort is falling apart everywhere. Watch your steps , holes are part of the decors . I can go on and on but I think my point is made , this is a 2 star resort . Don’t bother coming to san Andre’s , there’s way more to see elsewhere . 30+ trip traveller
The place is good overall.
the rooms are old and bathdrooms are bad and the food for breakfast it's bad
I do not recommend the Cameron Aquarium hotel at all, despite its claim of being all-inclusive with food and beverages. The drink service is of very poor quality. The “disco bar” is actually just a couple of people serving drinks from coolers with ice, without even having a proper refrigerator. The drinks taste terrible. Regarding room service, out of six days, we only had hot water for two. As for dining in the hotel’s supposedly good restaurants, you have to log into an app at 8 a.m. to make a reservation, which takes away time from enjoying breakfast. Reservations run out within ten minutes, so we were only able to dine there once. The internet is terrible; it disconnects every minute, requiring you to log back in constantly with a password, which is very frustrating. If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind, this is not the place. For the same price, you can find a luxurious hotel with excellent service. Additionally, San Andrés offers plenty of activities, and staying in a resort that doesn’t even deliver on its promises feels like a waste. I do not recommend this hotel.
You should see their disco, it was awful, food is not good, not coming back there
The hotel is good have plenty of activities to do but the check in is slow and it's not very clear when can you collect your key. The hotel is in a very good location and the drinks are pretty good the buffet breakfast needs more improvement with salty option like sandwich mini burgers etc no just eggs
Worst hotel in San Andres. I really recommend you look into the smaller hotels in the island. This is a loud hotel, bad food, terrible customers, just don't stay here.
We were a little disappointed on the overall condition of the hotel. It really needs maintenance and deep cleaning. Staff were nice and ready to help when needed.
Room needed a deep cleaning, needs updating, some structures on the property need repair/replacing
Close to the beach.
Hotel is dated and facilities are not that great. They did not change out the towels. They forgot hand towels and asked twice for them and never arrived. No potable water and they only give one water bottle the entire stay. The bathroom roof was leaking after it rained. It smelled like sewer in some areas. The all inclusive food was not great. Too many flies around the food. The in included non alcoholic drinks was not great. The nightly shows were a joke.
The food really good
Building totally too old needs to be updated Rooms needs more supplies like towel iron very poor place and old need more upgrades in the buildings need
beautiful location
The buffet was average at best , the juice were awful and water down!. The staff was ok at best. The view was beautiful and the restaurant with reservation was good portion were smal. But very good
Worse hotel and vacation, terrible staff and dirty place
I purchased our flight and hotel together through this app, and while we were at the location & Expedia charged behalf the hotel extra for our stay since more the a month ago we fully paid, I contacted the hotel 2 times before arrival & they were not able to find my reservation and of course, I was not charged, finally someone on Expedia said that we were ready to go. This trip was not what we expected for the amount of money we paid, plus the overcharge, the worst experience ever with customer services from the Hotel and Expedia I wish could respond to this issue since I was never notified and they should not sent an approval of your reservation unless you are set to go. Photos and rooms are not as shown. Hopefully nobody is force to book first directly to Decameron and hopefully Expedia customer service gets more accurate and helpful, I called twice and both times I was charge differently,
The AC didn’t work much, there was no hot water, and one of the specialty restaurants didn’t have AC. we voiced concern to management and they didn't do anything
The food wasn't that good.
We loved the views, loved the seafood restaurant, the convenience of having the dive shop at the resort. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Nelson and the rest of the dive crew were wonderful. We enjoyed our stay very much.
The ocean swimming pool is great, really great. The papercups, the restaurants, the staff, the lack of flexibility of all the staff, the lack of towels, dinning options, etc. Are far from good. There is no flexibility, what so ever, for an early check in. There is zero flexibility on beach times. The bar alternatives aren't great. It took them 40 minutes to get me a towel on the first day, even after I had to wait until 1500 to do the check-in. On the second day, and on the third, I didn't get any towels in my room. The rooms are full of rust. All in all, price/quality is good, and the beach is just amazing. The service is just not good at all.
The young lady that checked us in went way above and beyond duty in helping us when I was having difficulty paying with my debit card. I wish I could recall her name.
We loved the room, but there were no lamps on the nightstands for reading. The food was , but there was not a lot of variety from day to day. I found the food in the specialty restaurants a little disappointing.
terrible food, and bad service, the only good thing is the location and the nightly shows , i won't come back until it gets a new management, the checking process is a really nightmare, uncomfortable experience
The location is great and the rooms that face to the sea have great views.
The service from the hotel staff is horrible. We waited more than half an hour to get pre-registered in the front desk and there was a long line waiting and the reception staff didn't even care to hurry up. And in all places of the reception and online it says the check in time is 3pm, but the staff told us they would have the room available up until 5pm which is ridiculous and completely could be called false communication that violates consumers' rights. And that staff got angry and impolite with us since we insisted to have the room by 3pm and started just ingoring us until finally came the manager and gave us the promise to have the room by 3pm. And we were assigned to a room right above the sea, the view is marvelous but the windows could't be closed well. Then the rain entered the room and flooded. We couldn't even bare the stay the second night and moved to another hotel. It was definately the worst service I've ever experienced.
The location was great as it was in the center and within walking distance of restaurants and the beach. The room's view of the sea was breathtaking, especially in the morning.
Food was great as advertised. However, 1 or 2 of the restaurants were closed. I was expecting more than 3 restaurants opened as per the website but that was fine overall. That certainly did not ruin the trip.
Given the price, the property is in serious disrepair. The resort boasts “all inclusive” but really the drinks are very generic liquor and the restaurants were closed multiple days during our week long stay forcing us to eat at the buffet. The staff was friendly however it rained heavily and our room was constantly inundated due to leaks on the roof. The shower was painstakingly small had awful water pressure and it took forever for the water to warm up mildly. The hotel is close to the shopping district but the outside is constantly swarmed with locals trying to sell you car rentals/trips/souvenirs.
Nice buildings albeit old and in need of repairs. It rained and floors got wet and there were leaks in the ceiling. Restaurant and bar staff were nice. The front desk staff rude and uncooperative. The food was average at best. I have been in several All inclusive resorts. This one was the worst. I wouldn’t recommend it and definitely won’t return
Bad conditions
Nothing to like. Absolutely horrible. Mold and mildew in the room. The facilities haven’t been maintained in years. No ac. Bedbugs. Bad food. For $400/night. Left after one night. Cancelled the rest of th stay and switched hotels due to the horrible conditions.

All things considered this is one of the nicer hotels on San Andres. The staff was excellent! The food, bar service and dining at the hotel is good. The hotel layout and ocean front views are excellent Downtown shopping and dining a short walk from the hotel. Tour activities are nearby. English widely spoken but it helps to have a Translator app on your phone. WIFI is a problem sometimes.
The worst service ever, the phone in the room didn’t work, when you ask for an iron you have 20mins to return it and if you don’t they catch an attitude with you. The food is horrible and the people serving the food had an attitude. The rooms are not clean the the plastic curtain in the bathroom was dirty. Old room and not recommendable.
The property is centrally located and everything is convenient and safe around it. The rooms are on the ocean and we can enjoy the silent sounds of the waves sitting in the balcony. The condition of the rooms themselves are terrible. Everything is falling apart .. from the doors, blinds, to the attachments in the bathrooms!! Room service is non-existent and there is no phone in the room to call lobby !! Food is absolutely disgusting and the liquor is cheap and tastes bad .. no wonder it is all inclusive. Do not choose this property for "all-inclusive".
Buffet wax excellent
Wi-Fi should be better
the property was run down, they haven’t maintain it like they should, the bathroom was dirty and had fungus, and it’s smell. The food wasn’t good. Every time, I ate it, I would get sick
The Good: If you happen to get a room facing the ocean, the view is beaufitul. The Bad: Literally everything. The food is so disgusting that you can barely eat it. There are a few restaurants other than the buffet but they book up within minutes in the morning and the food is as bad as the buffet. The staff here are the worst I have ever seen at a hotel. They clearly do not care about anything and go out of their way to make things as bad as possible. They have someone with a gas powered mower outside the room at 5AM and if you call and ask them to stop. they will laugh. There was one employee there named Karina who was actually great and helpful, but everyone else was terrible. Would avoid this place.
Loved this property. It is right on the water and there is an amazing swimming area. The beds were comfy, rooms were clean, and the staff were great. Also the food was good. Will stay here again when visiting San Andres
Amazing hotel with perfect location, nice and friendly staff (not the front desk) with activities everyday
Property poor maintenance the shades of my room were all broken the morning sun went thru windows
Safety for guests and a very attentive staff.
Building is to old. Need remodeling
Rooms should be assigned to new guests by 3 pm as published and "not between 3 pm and 4.30 pm". Decameron should have more staff to facilitate check-in as current staff appear to be overwhelmed at times! Otherwise it is a great all-inclusive resort!
nothing
service was so terrible
the view in the room
very expensive drinks and food very poor
Friendly up east team made our stay pleasant and fun. Great location!
The food was varied and excellent in all of the restaurants and buffets we visited. The staff was very friendly and ready to help. The proximity to the boardwalk, restaurant, and commerce is good. The room was disappointing. For the amount of $$$ we paid, I was expecting much more. It seems maintenance is very low on the list of priorities: broken safe, broken phone, broken blinds and balcony door, to list some.
Good place to stay, a great location, good facilities, food at the buffet is OK, La Bruja Restaurant is amazing, The Thailand Restaurant is also a great option. No beach Connectivity to internet or WIFI es absolutely impossible.
The room I did not like it, it need renovation, bathroom need renovation, the room has only one plug, in this times we have few devices. Check in was a bad experience more than 2 hours waiting to get key. Check in is manually more than 70 persons in one room waiting for the key.
Literally this hotel and resort, was the worst I have ever experienced in my life. I would normally stay at Marriott Properties, but my Colombian girlfriend wanted to Stay in San Andres. The check in was a literal nightmare. No matter when your plane arrives, you can't check in till late in the Evening. I even offered to pay to get an earlier check in. This fell on ignorant deaf ears. Lobby and buildings are not beautiful by any means. They throw all your bags in a room open to all. Where it can be easily stolen. The absolute worst part is the All inclusive food, that is barely edible. In the Barracuda restaurant, the Ribs were tough as nails, Rice combination with questionable fish. Steak pimienta with the worst cuts of beef. One day the only thing I could stomach was the fruit and White bean Soup. I had made a request as this was a special occasion. The hotel gave me Red tape about how it was requested. Customer service was just non-existent. Spa services and Swim up bar are completely closed two years after the pandemic started... completely ridiculous. The rooms are all small and dirty, hard as Rock bedding, laughably small bathrooms. It was always loud at night. In the Thai-style restaurant, I could not even swallow the sushi appetizer it tasted so horrible. The bamboo wok dish was okay, but would have been better with beef instead of chicken. All in all one of the worst resort stays of my life.
It was in a good location. It wasn’t worth the price. The rooms are very old fashion
Fantastic location, delicious food, close by attractions
The property is particular because is partially built over and inside the sea, which is spectacular. The problems are: the size of the rooms, the age of the rooms, the overall maintenance of the hotel which is quite dated. Food quality and choice is rather poor and must be improved A LOT. Variety of food must be improved. Internet connection EXTREMELY POOR or nonexistent as well as the signal of the cell phone inside the hotel, it seemed to be in Cuba. It was quite an adventure...
The hotel is in disrepair. The food was absolutely horrible and made me very sick one night. The staff is very abrassive and rude. I would not recommed this hotel to my worst enemy.
My Fiance and I went to the San Andres island in Colombia in June 2021. We found out that it's hot but windy all year around and May thru December is the rainy part of the year and rained a lot when we were there but was told November and December is the worst time of the year because of how bad the storms are in those two months.January is the start of the dry season and is the best time to go but it's extra hot.The resort does have the best veiw of the ocean of any hotel and resort on this island, The resort is in the process of being repaired because the resort has been neglected for many years it seems so they are currently repairing rotting wood, painting buildings, repairing rusted metel railing on balconys and painting rooms. The resort is not English friendly and neither is the island but the hotel does have 1 or 2 English speaking people around but good luck in finding them at check in or if issues arrive. The resort is set up nicely inside with beautiful coconut trees everywhere. The resorts food over all was good, breakfast and lunch is the typical Colombian cooked foods with no American type food, dinner reservations are made each morning at 8am at front desk. All the food and drinks all day are part of the all-inclusive including alcohol drinks but the alcohol is not the good grade alcohol.drinks were poorly mixed. The rooms were setup very basic with no WiFi internt in room,no fridge,no ice bucket and no English speaking cable channels but did have AC and hot water.
Everything was great except the wifi. There was no internet at all and when you would finally connect it would really slow.
The employees were great very nice very caring and the service, food was great love every moment we we're there
Great entertainment, great food.and facilities. Trinidad Bueno Peña is an awesome staff memeber. He is hilarious and a great entertainer. He really made.us feel welcomed. Nichi, Melanie and.Goku were awesome as well. Great dancers and entertainers
