My room was lovely and big with a stunning view over to Brownsea Island.
Nothing
Rooms clean comfortable well furnished. Staff helpful and friendly. Meals lovely. View fantastic.
Nothing at all
The staff were exceptional. Particularly, Rachel, Grace, and Toby and also the receptionist. We also liked the ability to use the facilities of the other two hotels.
The steep climb up the Hill to the hotel. Also the dinning menu lacked in variation.
Excellent location , very helpful staff, everyone friendly. And lovely food.
Location was lovely and staff were good
No room service. Covid is over and it would be nice to have room service. No newspapers.
Breakfast was very good and great service fresh and presented well
I think the furniture in the room was dated albeit wood even a high polish might help the fridge was not working and there were no shelves in it room service did not check the tea and coffee so my husband had to go and get fresh milk in the morning
Comfortable, clean room and great views. Good tea and coffee making facilities in room. Jacuzzi bath! Great breakfasts.
The evening meal menu. Very limited. Risotto was awful. Chicken was undercooked, so we had to wait for another dish to be prepared.. Not acceptable. Staff leaving used dirty plates on the table.. Not attentive enough to needs of diners. - water was not placed on table after being adked for at the beginning of the meal. Not enough staff.
Spacious room with lovely view. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast.
Right location lovely view
Service was slow no entertainment menu a bit repetitive
Stunning location, fabulous staff. Shout out to Sol restaurant manager & Barbara. Superb cooked breakfasts to order in the mornings. Dinner in the evening was excellent. Quality ingredients. Pianist on Saturday evening was perfect for dinner. DJ on the terrace was nice touch and gave a good relaxed vibe. We had a fabulous stay for our anniversary and staff made it special for us. We enjoyed lovely walks along Sandbanks beaches all in close proximity to the hotel.
The air-conditioning was difficult to regulate, it didn't seem to stay on, that could just have been us though! Rooms probably need a refresh of decor along with the bathroom. Power shower was excellent though, Aqualisa always good choice.
Lovely location looking over the harbour. Good breakfast with plenty of choices. Welcoming, friendly staff.
Room is tired in need of modernisation.
This was our second stay at Harbour Heights and once again it was absolutely perfect. The staff, location, cleanliness and comfort of our room and the overall presentation of the hotel was excellent and we will definitely have a third visit.
The only small complaint I would have, although it was truly minor and did not affect the comfort of our stay at all, but the only thing that I would've like if it was better, was the size of space available to store my toiletries and in the bathroom. The bathroom was well presented with good shower and toilet facilities. The water pressure was one of the best I've experienced in a hotel and the towel warmer and fluffy towels were the best. Although this minimal space to store my toiletries, it was possible to be overcome and did not hinder or make our stay any less comfortable.
The view was exceptional 🥰 Room was a great size, and having a balcony was fantastic with that stunning look across to Brownsea island. Staff were friendly and food was nice although disappointed that it wasn’t the same menu that was on the website, husband really fancied the steak! He chose the haddock and was very tasty. I had the lamb was really nice with the mash and vegetables. Breakfast was really good quality, sausages and bacon really good!
Room was dusty, and bathroom a bit tired and needs some attention, taps covered in limescale!
Lovely room and great views from both our room and on the terrace off the bar and restaurant. Great location
Parking was tricky to start with but became easier during the evening.
The location the cleanliness
Our room was very hot
Tired hotel. Needs an update. Dirty carpets in room and manky looking balcony. Good breakfast and comfy bed but that’s about it.
Recently had a one night stay. We booked a harbour view room, which was very nice and modern. However, due to an issue with this room, we were re-allocated an upgraded room, harbour view with balcony. Unfortunately this room also had issues, this time with the electrics. As we were only staying for one night, we decided not to move rooms again. However, the reception staff we spoke to about the room issues were very friendly and professional. Overall, despite the room issues, we will stay again given how great the reception staff were in dealing with the issues.
Stayed here for work in Poole. Wonderful hotel location, stayed in room 211, fantastic views of Poole Harbour. Short walk to the sea, at least a couple pubs within 10 minutes walk. Very well equipped, clean room. Slept very well both nights. Used the bar and restaurant on both nights, excellent lamb shank meal on the 2nd night Special mention to "Amy" behind the bar, a pleasure to eat and drink there thanks.
I have a severe walnut allergy (I have EpiPens). I informed Harbour Heights of my walnut allergy on the online booking form I completed on 16th July. I then called them on 16th July and informed them again about my allergy to walnuts and asked if they could definitely provide an afternoon tea for me/ my group, given my allergy to walnuts. They assured me that of course they could and it would be no problem. The booking was yesterday (22nd August) for afternoon tea, and when I arrived with my husband, my mum and my sister, I told the waitress that I have an allergy to walnuts and that that should be on the booking. She said that's no problem and that they know that. The waitress brought out afternoon tea but didn't explain what any of the cakes were, so I asked if she could go to the kitchen to ensure that the cakes were definitely walnut-free. The waitress came back and said the kitchen could not confirm but there might be traces of nut in one of the cakes. She said that also might be one nut within the cakes but she wasn't sure which one. I explained that I needed to know which one because I am allergic to walnut but I am not allergic to other nuts. She apologised and said she would check again with the kitchen. I didn't eat anything from the afternoon tea whilst I waited because it wouldn't have been safe to until I knew for sure. As the waitress came back, she started explaining that the kitchen didn't know and it was "inconclusive" which nut was in the cake. I started saying that's not ok and that means I can't eat any of this. Just as I was saying that, my husband bit into one of the small cakes and it was entirely filled with pieces of walnut on the inside of the cake. He showed the waitress the pieces of walnut and said, "this is unacceptable; my wife is severely allergic to walnut and would have eaten this". She apologised again and a man, who we think was the kitchen manager, came out to say that the waitress had made the mistake and she hadn't passed on the information to the kitchen. However, I said he shouldn't blame the waitress because it's everyone in the chain's fault, and the kitchen should know which ingredients (especially allergens) are in their food, but he was keen to pin it on the young waitress rather than take any accountability. He was also rude because when my sister spoke to add some detail to what had happened, he put his hand up in front of her face so that she could not continue. The Harbour Heights kitchen does not know what is in their food and the members of staff do not have appropriate training regarding allergies. This was a serious near-miss and the most risk I have ever been in, to do with my walnut allergy. Had I not insisted that the waitress checked two more times after reporting my allergy four times, had my husband not suspected something was wrong and tried the cake himself, then I would have eaten that cake! I would have had to use my EpiPen, would have had to call 999, would have had to go to A&E. I potentially could have lost my life, worst case scenario. I feel very concerned about how the restaurant let me down and put me at such serious risk. A temporary manager of the hotel came to talk to us. He was very apologetic but we explained we could not eat here as it would not be safe so we would be leaving. Despite the young waitress and the temporary manager of the hotel being polite, Harbour Heights do not understand how to handle a kitchen and take allergies seriously and I feel I have to leave this review, because if I did not report this, someone else could be in the situation in which they trusted the first time they asked about their allergy and they could literally eat the allergen that they are allergic to.
This is a lovely hotel with the most gorgeous view from the terrace. I had a sea view room which did not disappoint. It was clean in our room and around the hotel. Quick walk down to the sea and beach. The downfall of this place is the staff service. Reception were very helpful and positive. The bar and breakfast area was awful. On a Sunday night I was told that there was no bread for any of the dishes. I had to ask repeatedly and go to the bar as there is no-one around. A bartender had no idea what was available on the menu and when I kept asking about dishes I had to ask, 'so basically you have no bread'. He appeared to shrug his shoulders and say yes with very little care. The general attitude was very poor. At breakfast one of the young women did very little and just spent the morning flirting with the chef. I believe it was Simi(?) who was running around looking after everyone on her own. This was a Monday morning. On Monday evening we had the same attitude in the bar so went somewhere else. Very very poor service with no food available. Such a shame as it lets down a very nice hotel.
The hotel is in a stunning location with fantastic views overlooking the beautiful bay
Considering that it charges 5 star prices, it felt very much 3 star
I’ve been coming to Harbour Heights for several years now and it remains one of my favourite places in the Poole area. The location is fantastic, with exceptional views across Poole Harbour – quite possibly the best I know of locally. I visit regularly and often eat in the restaurant, and I particularly wanted to mention Sol, who has looked after us on many occasions over the years. His service is exceptional. He remembers what I like and don’t like, how I like things served and even the timing of when I want things. He is always extremely professional, attentive and completely on the ball, without ever being overbearing. He is genuinely one of the best waiters I have come across and is a real credit to Harbour Heights. The only small suggestion I would make, particularly as a regular visitor, would be to change the restaurant menu a little more frequently and introduce some more variety. It would be great to see a few new dishes appearing more regularly. Overall, though, a fantastic location, wonderful views and consistently excellent service – with a special mention again to Sol for making every visit feel so well looked after.
View
The room was so old and bed was small.
The location is very good and the food was best in town. View is stunning
The air conditioned room. The gentleman on the front desk was excellent, extremely helpful. He helped us find an evening meal when the restaurant could not accommodate a gluten and dairy intolerant guest (despite being informed prior to arrival). This gentleman was great, very helpful.
The chef had no desire to help with a gluten and dairy intolerant guest. I advised them at least a week before of this requirement and there was only one item on the menu that could be eaten - a salad. The chef could not be bothered to try and help at all. We ended up going elsewhere with a very late booking. The gentleman on the front desk was great, he organised the booking and the taxi. But the chef, and restaurant staff could not be bothered. Not what I would have expected from a 4 star establishment.
Beautiful setting and views are incredible. The hotel must have been very luxurious 10-20 years ago but feels a bit dated now. There was sufficient parking. The main issue was the staff. The staff for the bar/breakfast/dinner were universally poor. There was a lot of staff on duty but they mostly seemed to be standing around and talking to their colleagues. We had to go up to the staff to request they took our breakfast orders and I noticed others did similarly. The bar staff were also very slow - one night there was three staff one duty but only one actually doing any work despite a queue. I had heard from others locally that the staff weren’t very good but I wasn’t expecting to be this bad.
Very comfortable bed, great view over the harbour. Great location for the beach. Very helpful and friendly staff. Casual atmosphere. AIRCON!!!!
Needs a little TLC here and there, minor maintenance. ie specifically around the exterior dining area - cobwebs etc.. Paint peeling here and there. But overall its very clean and tidy.
Breakfast was ok, nice choices , tables very clean Tables spaced out nicely, lovely view. No long waits Bedroom was spacious. Light and airy. Very clean Bed very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. First night
Only one small thing, I ordered the pancakes at breakfast, and was dissapointed to find that they were tougth as if they had been a shop ready made ones, I had to leave thom
Great location with a beautiful terrace and amazing views. We booked dinner on the terrace, and everything was outstanding — the food, the view and the service were all excellent. The bar, restaurant and reception staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and, most importantly, had air conditioning!
The location and the fine dining on the scond night.
That there was no swimming pool, although hat was my fault for not reading the facilities correctly.
The restaurant and the view were really good
The room was really tired looking and quite old fashioned for the money
The view
Location was amazing
Bit dated could do with renovating.
Today we went for Afternoon Tea at Harbour Heights. I have to say that from the moment we walked in to the hotel we were warmly greeted by reception staff and made to feel very welcome. We were offered a choice of seating, we chose an indoor table by the window with a stunning view across the bay and Brownsea Island . We we served by Toby , a delightful and humourous young man , absolutely first class service from him, a credit to the reputation of The Harbour Heights The whole experience was wonderful, and the beautiful sunny weather was a total bonus. We were so impressed we are coming back in a few weeks to sample the lunch menu.
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was varied and the views are stunning.
Came here with my friend who had visited previously and raved about the terrace view. She’d had a couple of salads recently with her husband but they both agreed that they were presented with far too much lettuce! So on our visit we decided to share a couple of sharing boards. Quite honestly they looked like they had been put together by a child! The meats sharing boards: Toasted bread A few pieces of chauceuterie meat A small pot of onions (strange) A small pot of olive oil Total £22! ……… Absurd! The veggie sharing boards Toasted bread A pot of cold slimy veg - Aubergine and Artichoke A small pot of hummus (best item on the board) A small pot of onions A small pot of olive oil Total £22 We sat on the larger right side of the terrace where we were told there was not table service which was fine by us. We had to pay in advance when ordering our food and drink. What a shocker to be asked if they could add a service charge to our bill despite no proper/official table service. The female staff member was embarrassed to ask and my friend reluctantly agreed. If we had known the quality of the food, we would not have been paying it. What’s more how can you add a service charge if you are not prepared to wait on the tables? What a shame that the restaurant is so disorganised and the quality of food so poor. It explained why it was so empty on a lovely hot lunchtime with incredible far reaching rules. We have heard that the owner has applied to see the business in order for a block of flats to be built. This may explain the lack of restaurant professionalism. I can’t recommend this venue unless for just a drink or maybe fish and chips which looked half reasonable! Such a shame!
Great breakfast and bonus that the restaurant has amazing views. Nice room with air-conditioning and pleasant view.
I was happy with the hotel
- breakfast was not tasty - wasn’t allowed to have breakfast outside - the staff clearly designed the system to suit themselves not the paying guests - parking wasn’t reserved for guests
Review of The View restaurant - went yesterday evening, group of 6. Chosen for the view and the varied menu on line. Once in restaurant presented with a much reduced menu with far fewer options. One of our party gluten free. Found something but again few options. Waitress said menu hadn't been updated on line, and many complained about menu change. All a bit disappointing. If you were staying there for a few nights, not much variety at all.
We loved our stay at the hotel, We had a lovely view from our window and it was just a short 10 minute walk down to the beach! The food was great and the staff were all extremely friendly and easy to talk to. The view outside the back of the hotel is amazing especially around sunset and we loved watching the boats in the harbour.
There wasnt much choice on the menu for dinner or breakfast, the restaurant fills up very quickly so get there early!
This is a venue that potentially has everything you would require. The venue, views and terrace are great. Sadly, the attitude and service provided by some staff reflected very poorly on the hotel. On our recent visit, we ordered and were provided with incorrectly prepared cocktails. Having brought this to the notice of staff and requested correctly prepared drinks, to be told by poorly trained bar staff that ‘they are busy’ simply isn’t good enough - an attitude that delivering sub standard service when busy is somehow acceptable ? Great shame as other staff were very pleasant and helpful. Difficult to recommend to friends and colleagues on our latest experience but hopeful that an increased emphasis on customer service might improve matters.
Absolutely incredible views. Our room decor was very dated but the views were worth going for. Extra bonus points for being dog-friendly and for the staff having a helpful, friendly disposition. We also enjoyed an excellent dinner on the terrace.
Position
The staff were friendly, the hot breakfast options were good, and I enjoyed the terrace and the view.
The room wasn't cleaned thoroughly, and the room service could have been better. I also felt that the quality of the dinner didn't justify the price.
Loved the view across the estuary-breathtaking
When we arrived the back of the building was underwhelming but made the view of the estuary that more spectacular
Lovely hotel with a spectacular terrace. We got a warm, smiling welcome from the receptionist who was very helpful. Our room was ideal and the aircon was on full blast - it was the July heatwave so was really needed. The restaurant has a fantastic view out over the bay. The food was ok.
Restaurant service at dinner was slow and our waiter seemed more interested in what was happening elsewhere and had to come back to check our order again. Likewise with our bill, the manager didn’t seem to match our bill with our table. Quite disappointing as the service didn’t match the setting. Breakfast, however, was 5/5! A lovely welcome, smart service and really good food.
Amazing views
Handy location. Staff are so helpful!
The location is fabulous but…… We went for lunch. Lovely and cool with great views - however…….I rang to book a table and was told it wasn’t necessary. We arrived to be told all the best tables were reserved! The restaurant manager was unwelcoming to the point of being rude! The service was awful! Twice I got up to get a fork. One water came with ice and lemon after I specifically asked - did not arrive for my friend! Food was ‘ordinary’ and expensive. No non-alcoholic wine. We won’t be returning
Incredible views and double aspect balcony room. Evening meal was very good. as was the breakfast.
Shaky start .. view from room superb very suprised how worn the wooden furniture was.. First evening waiting at the bar witnessed a disagreement between bar staff and what I thought at the time was a member of the public. But is was a restaurant manager.. all over a dash of lemonade. Really unprofessional and they didnt care about customers being there. The following morning different manager a member of staff was asking them.a question...as we approached the sign to wait to be seated. The managers response very impatiently...just use your iniative. His whole demeanour was impatient and fed up. There were three tables ours included waiting for orders to be taken. We had been waiting quite sometime, I got up and walked towards himwas not really doing anything inparticurly, he looked up at me before I ecen opened my mouth and said I'm coming over now. Which strongly suggests he knew he should have taken our order...with a loud voice shouted to the other two tables I'm coming over to you all. Very lucky for him the patrons were all very nice. Its an expensive hotel and people pay a lot of money really don't expect this behaviour. The second night, just had a drink didnt want to be in a potentially hostile environment, howver it was very calm as was breakfast. Completely different experience, A lovely lady took our order, very timely, the breakfast manager seemed occupied talking to a group of ladies about where he was born. . Don't take your staff for granted or your customers!! Good views will only take you so far
Breakfast was excellent
More variation re evening meal .asked for olives and you didn't have any .not good .was on the menu
Not good.. My husband & I after a long walk decided to pop in for a coffee to enjoy the lovely view on Sunday morning around 10.45am. We were met with a waiter whos welcomed first words were “Not now!” In a very curt manner.. “We don’t open for lunch until 11am you’ll have to come back” In which we responded “we’re not looking for lunch just a coffee but with that welcome don’t bother”. We would if been happy to wait.. if given that option.. and a much warmer welcome!
The views and the friendly staff made our stay.
The rooms, including the furniture and the bathrooms are very dated.
Fantastic views over the Harbour & Sandbanks, really good location, lovely staff especially Brian who worked nights.
Nothing to moan about really , just few niggles: Bathroom bit dated but shower was very good , dust behind the coffee machine on the desk and cobwebs where you can put your suitcase on the wall , and air con could do with a clean as vent was dusty , if it had been TV programme 4 in a Bed it would have lost points.
Stunning views, appalling service and quality of drinks. A surly barman who didn't want to be there at all, served warm, flat lager. Huge queue at the bar. A real shame . His attitude was completely off. Never going back.
Vriendelijk personeel, airco
We vonden het voor de prijs een wat afgeleefde kamer, duurste verblijf van onze rondreis en minste kamer
The towels were big and fluffy
The hotel is very tired and needs to be upgraded. The room we had on the 3rd floor in the ceiling arches had very odd angled mirrors. The food at breakfast was terrible and there were not enough staff so they were trying their best but service was very slow.
The location is good, the View, the breakfast
There doesn’t seem to be anyone in charge in the evenings although the staff are pleasant they only seem to have one person on the bar most of the time and then they didn’t have a lot of the wines on the menu, nor did they have any oranges or limes to go with drinks/cocktails. They could take a lot more money if staff were going to the tables in the lounge and out on the terrace taking orders and getting drinks quicker to people instead of sometimes having to wait at 15 mins! The bedroom furniture is also looking a bit tired now, we have been a few times in the past here. Matt on reception was very good. And the new young waiters/waitresses were very polite and apologising for the delays.
Location
Large red stain on room carpet, some of the tile grout in the shower needed cleaning, and a corner of the bathroom flooring needed sticking.
Location , views from garden terrace, clean. Staff attentive and helpful particularly to our elderly parents who were with us and have mobility issues. Breakfast offer and service very good.
Some of the bedroom furniture is damaged, aged and needs replacing. Didn’t like the Ibiza style music mix performance on the terrace Friday night. Not everyone’s cup of tea, and put us off staying in the bar area for more drinks.
Good menu choices in morning and evening. Room was nice with Balcony and view.
A small number of areas could do with a spruce up
Enough
Stop
View was excellent; tidy room; good evening food; staff friendly; we would go back
Breakfast not early enough for ferry departure
The view is amazing, they had a DJ on in the early evening, as well as a BBQ, which was an added bonus we weren't expecting. The staff were very friendly.
The rooms were very spacious but they are very tired. The décor needs re-doing, along with new furniture and fixings. The bathroom are also very old. The shower is over the bath with a shower curtain, we only stayed for one night so we didn't use the shower.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Location is great with amazing views. Room was very spacious and clean and the breakfast was great.
Great experience, afternoon tea was delicious, warm scones, good choice of sandwiches and cakes, teas etc. No 1 is the view - simply stunning. Wished we had booked outside for lunch. Quality service and staff. Would recommend. Only downside is a small car park
Lovely property, very clean, room was spacious. Enjoyed our stay.
Nice location wth fantastic view of harbour from room and dining room
There was nothing I didn’t like about the property. Unfortunately the weather prevented us from dining on the terrace and that was disappointing.
Lovely surroundings and great staff. Value for money with lovely full plates and great environment to relax and chat.
Beautiful view of the harbor. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent tea and coffee facilities in the room.
Limited menu for lunch and very expensive and let’s not forget to ask to remove the service fee if you want to.
Wonderful weekend at this hotel in a beautiful setting! What made it fantastic was the staff Sol, Zac and the friendly receptionist! Because of them we will be back SOON !
Very disappointed, beds uncomfortable, misty windows, low grade furniture, rude restaurant staff.
The views and the size of the room
Excellent view from terrace & very friendly staff. Great breakfast too
The location was great and the views were fantastic, sunset DJs were a great idea on Friday and Saturday.
Other than 3 members of staff the rest were rude especially the breakfast waiters, very unfriendly and not good with children. We stayed for 4 nights and the room was not cleared once or bathroom cleaned just made the bed. Really not acceptable
More bar staff on Friday and Saturday nights
Good location, nice views. Staff are friendly but not enough of them!
Rooms desperately need renovating and not worth what they charge. Terrible decor, stained wallpaper, old furniture with an old smell, large chips out of the woodwork. I refused to stay in room 200 and got moved to 212 which was much better albeit the air con was useless.
Amazing views, very comfortable room, everything a little dated in the room otherwise, lovely dinner
Excellent location with amazing view and superb staff.
The room felt tired and in need of refurbishment. The furniture was dated and damaged, there was a musty smell, and the bed was too soft for us. There was also noise from people drinking on the terrace until late. At £319 for the night, we were certainly paying for the view. Without that, it would have felt hard to justify the cost, especially as the off-season would seem the ideal time to make some upgrades.
Clean, comfortable and quiet room with good curtains to cut out light during summer months. Amazing view, helped by gloriously hot weather. Good breakfast
Sadly the menu let this hotel down. It was very limited. Also the service at the bar was slow and the staff seemed very stressed, particularly on the bank holiday. Clearly they needed more staff on duty.
Booked restaurant for my wife's birthday, we checked the menu (note : not a sample menu). It had John Dory fillets, Prawn and Scallops, Mussels, all of which we would have liked. On arrival we were told that one of the chefs had just walked out and that they could only cater for 15 guests, but as we had booked all was fine. We had a drink and enjoyed the fabulous views. Once seated and ready to order we were disappointed to see that all the things we liked were not on the menu, we asked about the John Dorey and were told that whilst that was on the online site they had not used that menu for 5 Years. The only 2 fish courses were smoked haddock and scallop risotto with a poached egg or fish and chips. I decided on the risotto but after a few minutes we were informed that they had swapped the smoked haddock for salmon. In the end we ended up with a Chicken burger and Belly of pork. We waited for the wine only to be presented with one we didnt order and on querying this, were told that they had sold out of the wine we wanted. we ordered a drink to be taken on the terrace to see the sunset, which we had to chase up twice from the bar before it turned up ? We made the best of it but it was hardly what we had imagined as a 'special' meal other than the price which was over £130, with return taxi fares nearly £60 made it very expensive for food we didnt really want and wine that wasnt our choice. Other diners, not the "lucky" 15, were allowed to sent out for takeaways !! Even given that they had just lost a chef the whole set up seemed to be under managed and too few staff. The hotel and restaurant needed attention and money spending on it and definitely passed its sell by date I would recommend it for a sunset drink but stay away fro the food.
Most things were great.
The bedroom walls were paper thin. Could hear everything in the room next door.
Traditional breakfast was good, fruit selection for those who enjoy something more healthy. We had a room with a balcony and the view was breath taking.
Some of the room decor is getting a little old, and there was limited availability in the restaurant on our second night, thought the BBQ was very good.
We had a beautiful view from the balcony; the room was large and light. All of the staff that we met were lovely and really friendly.
The room itself was tired, and if honest needs completely renovating. it also had that damp smell that can be a little unpleasant. Breakfast was possibly the worse we have ever had in any hotel throughout the world, not even displayed nicely cheap plus little choice.
Sehr gutes Frühstück und tolle Betten
Good location
Nothing really
Our room had a great view
Room a bit dated
Breakfast was good. Room spacious. Staff friendly.
Fridge had a leftover bottle of wine. Room smelled of aftershave.
Lovely views over Poole Harbour and very friendly and attentive staff
Room, while clean was small and in need of a refurb.
The location is ideal for local places of interest and parking is good.
Room seemed to have been recently updated, very nice. Views are brilliant. Easy parking. Room was quiet .
Price .. compared to others is a little hight.
301 Room was clean welcoming & Fabulous!
Better pillows on the bed , they are much too solid! Mattress much too hard! We did not sleep well At all! Constant door banging all night long ground level! Staff possibly moving between rooms 🤔 Very disappointing to look At the front of the building on arriving, needs some TLC!
Location
Some furniture a be little tired
The view from the bar and when having breakfast was amazing
The rooms were very tired and they urgently need updating. The curtains were ripped and the furniture is old and damaged. The doors are heavy and the floorboards are creaky. We were woken up at 6am due to the banging of doors and floorboards above our room. For the money we paid these rooms are unacceptable and not a 4 star hotel standard
Harbour view and location, disabled parking, well-appointed bathroom
The bedroom wooden furniture was tired and in poor condition. The uncooked breakfast offering was poor - there are several bakeries in the area which could have been sourced for something other than "routine" bread, the selection of dried fruits and nuts was limited. The pictures on the walls and in the bedroom were uninspiring or frankly depressing (golden brown sausages).
Luxury accommodation, great location with wonderful views and first class staff
Location
But dated and overpriced
The rooms are are lovely - spacious and comfortable with super bathrooms. The outdoor terrace is superb with incredible views, as is the indoor dining. Breakfast had a good selection, all fresh and we particularly liked the choice of freshly cooked breakfast choices.
The bar staff and service on an evening was slow and they were quite rude. Outdoor dining should be an option, even with a limited menu.
