Très bon hôtel, personnel très agréable, bon repas, juste à côté de l'océan.

The cocktails were lovely, the size of the room and lots of storage was good, we had a wonderful view from our balcony and the gym was well equipped. Also, delicious coffee. Very comfy bed!

Upon arrival we had to wait 25 minutes to check in, everything was very slow. We were then informed that what we consider the basics would be charged extra such as the use of the safe in the room would be €18. If you wanted more than one change of pool towels you'd be charged for fresh towels. Cakes and snacks in the coffee bar charged extra. The room had no towels in it after check in (two hand towels) so we had to go and source some. The air con leaked a puddle on the floor and my partner slipped on it and hurt his back. They did come to fix it but the damage was done. The mini fridge was broken, the door tray to put water in fell out of the fridge. Water was not replenished when the room was serviced. My bedside socket didn't work, thankfully we'd brought an extension lead. There was also no proper duvet cover it was a large sheet with a duvet inbetween another large sheet not buttoned or tied in to the sheets surrounding it, very strange. Food, most of the reason we choose to opt for somewhere seemingly nice and all inclusive was at best mediocre. It had canteen vibes, none of it was horrible but the selection was very basic and the food itself wasn't enjoyable. Also, not a lot of Spanish food which is the bit we looked forward to. Getting served in the restaurant area was slow and painful and god forbid you want a top up. Cockroaches, there was one running around the gym floor and one sitting on the coffee bar. When I pointed it out to the woman serving coffee she just shrugged and ignored it. WiFi was in and out, thankfully we had our o2 roaming or it would've been frustrating. Sunbeds: Day 1 we saw all of the sunbeds got reserved pretty early but we blagged the last two at about 2pm as it was gale force winds it wasn't as busy as when we'd arrived. Day 2 I went down to reserve beds which I've never had to do but it seemed the done thing.

Colazione ottima. Per quanto riguarda la posizione ottima per la spiaggia ma ritengo che un po’ fuori mano i negozi inclusa la farmacia che se uno è solo e non sta bene deve prendere un taxi

L’accesso alla spiaggia: troppe scale con ascensore che arriva solo ad un livello non ancora al piano spiaggia; specie al rientro fiato e assicurato! Altra cosa per me grave l’assenza di un PC corner a disposizione di TUTTI gli ospiti ( non solo i Privilege) anche a pagamento perché a tutti può capitare di avere un problema da risolvere non fattibile dall’ IPhone e non avere con sé in vacanza tablet o altro

El hotel lo único que tiene que ofrecer es una playa paradisíaca que no es suya gracias a Dios porque a saber como la tendrían, un hotel muy decepcionante un personal picó educado y todo muy desvencijado

Si hay que poner un pero son los cócteles del bar piscina que son de máquina. Son muy malos.

El spa me decepcionó mucho. Eso no es un spa, es una piscina con agua caliente y 5 chorros de agua, para 5 personas. El buffet muy escasa oferta para un hotel de 4 estrellas.

Todo está increíble, la cercanía a la playa, las comidas de calidad y variadas con opciones veganas, el personal encantador, nos dejaron quedarnos a la salida sin coste adicional a comer y todo.

Strand war ok... Auswahl an Essen mässig. Am Wochenende ist z.B Speck zu Rührei ausgegangen. Total unlogische Anordnung von Essen und Geschirr. Müsli an dieser Theke. Teller dazu bei der anderen. Das selbe bei Salat und Salatsosse.

Ubicación inmejorable, paraíso. El personal un 10 en amabilidad. Limpieza habitación, espacios de recepción y bar , piscina muy bien Gimnasio, mal...a parte de que no estaba muy limpio, no son estrictos en las normas y la gente usa las máquinas descalza o con bañador y sin toalla.

El precio de los restaurantes y bares del complejo la limpieza del gimnasio y que los baños de las habitaciones son un poco justos en instalaciones

Nos trataron muy bien, la habitación estaba perfecta, las instalaciones muy limpias, y la ubicación es ideal gracias a la playa que tiene alrededor que permite poder acceder directamente del resort a la playa y viceversa. Súper recomendado este gran hotel

Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer und das freundliche Personal im Restaurant, sowie die wunderschöne Meersicht von meinem Zimmer – Für die Aussicht war leider vor Ort ein Aufpreis fällig.

Der Diebstahl eines hochwertigen Markenkleides aus dem Hotelzimmer und der enttäuschende Umgang des Managements mit dem Vorfall. Da die Hoteldirektion ungläubig reagierte und keine Unterstützung anbot, musste ich die Polizei einschalten. Weitere Mängel: Zudem war der gebuchte "Meerblick" primär ein Blick auf den Pool und die Poolbar mit dem Meer im Hintergrund. Ein echter Meerblick war erst nach einem kostenpflichtigen Upgrade vor Ort möglich. Die Anlage ist sehr weitläufig: Um das Hotel zu verlassen, muss man zwingend Treppen steigen oder die Aufzüge nutzen. Da die wenigen Aufzüge ständig überfüllt waren und längere Wartezeiten entstanden, ist das Hotel für Personen mit Gehbehinderung nicht zu empfehlen.

Meravigliosa la vista dalla hall, dalla terrazza panoramica e dal ristorante. La pulizia è assoluta in tutta la struttura e nelle camere. L'accesso alla spiaggia è diretto, e dà su una delle coste più belle di Fuerteventura. Anche la piscina è bellissima, così come l'area spa. Una coccola. Molto apprezzato anche il servizio di colazione anticipata: danno la possibilità a chi deve svegliarsi molto presto (o a chi arriva tardi la sera) di avere accesso a una parte del buffet del ristorante per fare colazione anticipata o cena dopo l'orario. Lo staff si mobilita per questo ed è un ottimo servizio.

Nota negativa: la cena finisce veramente troppo presto. La fine è prevista per le 9 e 30 ma già ti guardano male se arrivi alle 9. Alle 9 e 25 cominciano a sgomberare in modo molto affrettato e brusco l'intero buffet, facendo volontariamente fretta perché la gente esca dal ristorante. Poco elegante ed eccessivo, considerato che siamo in una località di mare e le persone hanno piacere di rimanere in spiaggia un po' più a lungo la sera. Bisogna tenere in conto che sia nella struttura che in tutta questa parte della costa la sera si va a letto molto presto, poiché non ci sono locali nei paraggi.

El servicio es excelente porque su personal es super amable cercano y siempre agradable y con una sonrisa. La comida es buenisima y el buffet de desayuno y cena completo y en todo momento hay una persona encargada de avisar a la cocina para que reponga todo lo que se va acabando antes de que se termine con lo cual nunca tendras que esperar para servirte lo que te apetezca comer. Las vistas, la playa, el sol....el hotel es pura magia. El año pasado haciendo el check out ya reservamos este año y este año reservamos nuestra estancia del 2027.

Las instalaciones son muy bonitas, cómodas, limpias.... la cama super comoda, la habitación amplia , luminosa , una maravilla . Todo el hotel en si, es precioso!

La zona de spa, las piscinas interiores estan poco cuidadas y los chorros apenas funcionan. El problema de las hamacas en la piscina, dejan que la gente las guarde poniendoles una toalla encima y se van por horas y horas vacias y es casi imposible encontrar hamacas libres, el propio hotel debería regular ese tema.

Il servizio piscina, più precisamente il non poter prenotare le sdraio e l'ombrellone. Non trovo corretto che in un posto simile non ci sia spazio per tutti. Addirittura se si prenotavano dei posti venivano tolte dagli addetti le cose e messe in un sacco di plastica. Poi però se si pagava il bagnino allora si poteva stare. Vergognoso.

Buena ubicación, ambiente tranquilo, acceso directo a una playa increíble, un bufet bueno y variado.

Que la gente reserva las hamacas y como llegues tarde por la mañana te quedas sin sitio para la piscina. Nosotros directamente las hamacas que no había nadie y estaban reservadas con toallas las quitábamos para poder utilizarlas.

Pues me gustó tanto la amplitud de la habitación, la orientación que nos dieron así como la limpieza de la misma. en cuanto al restaurante había mucha variedad tanto en el desayuno como en la cena que teníamos contratado, la atención de los camareros, te dejaban la mesa limpia en cuanto te levantabas a por otro plato.

La única pega es que tuve que esperar unos 45 minutos hasta que me dieron la habitación, por todo lo demás fue una estancia muy buena

* They allowed me to check in early, which was very helpful and much appreciated after traveling. * The location is wonderful, and the ocean view from the hotel was definitely a highlight. * They use a waterproof bracelet system to unlock the room doors. Being able to go for a swim without worrying about losing a key card was a fantastic, innovative touch that I haven’t seen elsewhere.

* Honestly, reading through some of the glowing reviews online, I have to wonder if they were written by hotel staff or owners because my experience was completely different. * Despite the nice location, there is no promenade nearby to walk around, which limits what you can do right outside the hotel. * You have to pay €2 if you want to change your beach towel more often than one time per week, and using the safe/locker in your own room comes with an extra fee as well. * The hotel is simply not clean. There was a noticeable layer of dust everywhere, and the bathroom cleanliness was highly questionable (see attached pictures). To make matters worse, I saw 3 to 5 cm long cockroaches in the hotel, and I am not exaggerating the size. * At one point, something started leaking directly from my ceiling. I had to go to reception three separate times before anyone bothered to fix it. As a result, I had to sleep through two full nights listening to the constant sound of dripping water. * The restaurant food is the exact same almost every single day. You can easily predict tomorrow's menu because it’s clear they reuse leftovers from the previous day. Some of the food was pre-packaged supermarket food out of a plastic bag that’s just been heated up, not fresh or cooked from scratch. Even the cleanliness of the tableware is questionable (see picture of the cup). * The staff looked exhausted. Basic politeness like saying "thank you" was met with complete indifference. On multiple occasions, I ordered drinks that were simply forgotten and never brought to the table. While the location and smart lock system are great, the lack of basic cleanliness, insect issues, low-quality food, and poor service mean I definitely wouldn't return or recommend staying here.

Great location, recommend the rooms away from the main hotel for a peaceful nights sleep. Service was excellent the staff work exceptionally hard. Animation guy was really good not pushy but warm and friendly and there were lots of various activities throughout the day if you wanted a break from doing nothing. Definitely will visit again for a relaxing week away. Tip would be take some towel pegs as a tad windy.

Las instalaciones de Spa son pésimas, piscina de agua fría, el jacuzzi no funcionaba, corriente en las instalaciones por dejar las puertas abiertas, el horario de las comidas y el elevadísimo precio de las bebidas en el buffet.

La piscina aparenta mucho más grande en las fotos.

El buffet del desayuno tiene una mermelada intragable, me pasé toda la semana untando con miel, mantequilla y Nocilla. La opción "sin gluten" hay que recordarla diariamente en recepción.

It was a nice comfortable room. Clean. Spacious. Very nice bathroom. Food was varied at dinner. Open spaces in restaurant but very hot inside.

Took a long time to check in. Dated in places. Staff for H10 not as friendly as in previous times. Shame that people do have to smoke on the terraces.

Great property, beautiful views. Super friendly staff, the Cuban cook at the Buffet Alain, delivers an amazing customer service and takes a lot of pride on his job. The rest of the staff in general were very friendly, great atmosphere. We felt at home.

**Important: We booked a Privilege room, so some of the facilities and dining options mentioned below were included specifically as part of the Privilege package.** Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay at H10 Playa Esmeralda. The food, friendly staff and beautiful surroundings were the main highlights. The main drawbacks were the poor quality of the fruit-based drinks, particularly for anyone sensitive to artificial sweeteners, and the persistently high humidity in the bedrooms. The buffet food was good and varied, while the Privilege restaurant and Italian restaurant, both included with Privilege, were excellent. The quality of the food was one of the best parts of the holiday and a genuine reason we would return. The Privilege breakfast was particularly enjoyable, with a quiet and calm atmosphere overlooking the pool. The staff were genuinely friendly and happy, which made the hotel feel welcoming and comfortable. This was a major positive compared with some Caribbean resorts, where staff can seem under considerable pressure. Our room was spacious, well organised and had a wonderful view. The beds were extremely comfortable. The pools were excellent, and the indoor pool was particularly useful for avoiding the strongest midday sun. There was nearly always a breeze around the outdoor pools, making the temperature very comfortable. A new dedicated Privilege pool was due to open within days of our departure. It looked peaceful and had an excellent view. The hotel grounds were beautiful and spotlessly maintained. The outdoor terrace at the Blue Bar had incredible views, comfortable chairs and sofas, and was a lovely place to relax. The public beach is only a very short walk from the hotel, with fine sand and crystal-clear blue water. Two sunbeds and a parasol cost €15 for the day, with toilets and showers available. It never felt overcrowded, and even larger beaches can be reached within around 20 minutes on foot. There were, however, a few drawbacks. The air conditioning was not particularly powerful, and this is an issue affecting all rooms because the entire hotel uses the same centrally water-cooled system rather than individual compressor-based air conditioning. It could keep our room at around 22°C to 23°C, but it did not reduce the humidity. During our stay, the humidity in the room remained at 75% or above, which became uncomfortable at night. On some mornings, the room was warmer than outside despite the air conditioning running at full power. The system is designed for a dry climate, so this may be a problem throughout the hotel during humid weather, particularly for anyone sensitive to heat or humidity at night. There is little the hotel can do about this because it is a limitation of the system’s design. The curtains were thick and blocked most daylight, but they were not completely blackout. Some light from the hotel’s outdoor lighting entered the room at night. Anyone particularly sensitive to light may wish to bring a portable blackout covering or an eye mask. The biggest disappointment was the fruit-based drinks. Apart from the genuine orange juice served at the Privilege breakfast and tomato juice, the breakfast drinks and fruit-based cocktails were made from highly processed syrup blends containing added sugars and artificial sweeteners. They were extremely sweet and had a noticeable sweetener aftertaste. This significantly restricted the cocktail selection for anyone sensitive to artificial sweeteners. Standard all-inclusive guests had no access to genuine fruit juice at breakfast, which felt out of keeping with the otherwise high standard of the food. Despite these issues, H10 Playa Esmeralda is a beautiful, peaceful and exceptionally clean hotel with excellent food, comfortable rooms and genuinely welcoming staff. Better-quality fruit drinks and effective humidity control would make it outstanding.

Unable to go to lunch without staff removing your stuff from the pool beds. This was shocking to be honest . All inclusive holiday which means we go off and eat/drink throughout the day . Me and my wife were on our honeymoon so we wanted to do everything together . We were told by staff that if we were to walk away from our sun beds even to get a drink , or go in the pool etc . Our stuff would be bagged up! I understand the no reserving of beds in the morning. However during the day if ive got up early enough to get a bed and come back to find it has been taken by someone else who hasnt made the effort to get up and get one . Thats unfair!

No hay nada alrededor. La habitación que nos pusieron estaba muy expuesta y pasaba mucha gente a pie, por lo que no podíamos tener las cortinas corridas.

Just returned from one week at this hotel, and we were generally quite impressed. The room was a great size, with a fridge and safe (chargeable, which is unacceptable), huge walk in shower, large balcony, and very clean. The areas around the pool were nice, plenty of sunbeds, indoor pool if you fancied getting out of the sun, and great views. The pool bar was very handy, we popped in their daily for " light refreshments " and the snacks at lunch time were good. Lobby bar was the main hub in the evenings, with occasional entertainment which didn't really impress, but gotta give them credit for trying. Good selection of drinks and table service was very efficient. The buffet was great for breakfast, but we found lunch and dinner to be sparse. The Italian restaurant however was good too. We would return, simply because It was so pretty and so relaxing.

The adults-only hotel is located in a quiet part of the island, close to the ocean and beach, providing comfort and privacy. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. The service is very friendly and professional. The atmosphere is perfect for relaxing. We met friendly, competent staff who helped us have a wonderful time. The cuisine is varied and delicious in each of the three restaurants. It is a wonderful place for rest, relaxation

I stayed as a party of six for 7 nights, booking two superior rooms and one twin room. Overall, we had a good holiday and there were plenty of positives. The hotel is clean, well maintained, and in a great location. The issues we experienced didn't spoil our holiday, but I would think twice about returning. The main disappointment was the all-inclusive experience, which I found underwhelming for a 4 star hotel. The all inclusive felt very restricted and largely centred around the opening hours of the main buffet restaurant. Outside of the restaurant, there were no self service food or drink facilities apart from water stations. The pool bar food service was particularly disappointing. Rather than being able to help yourself, everything had to be ordered, often resulting in long waits. The food quality was inconsistent and generally below expectations. Unfortunately, on one occasion I had to return a dish due to it being seriously undercooked. We eventually stopped using the pool bar for food midway through the holiday. The drinks service was however good. The main restaurant was also somewhat of a let down and did not provide a particularly relaxed dining experience. All the food is cleared promptly at 2130 hours. The atmosphere often felt more like a canteen opposed to a 4 star hotel restaurant. Food trays frequently took too long to be replenished, and there were often lengthy waits for freshly cooked dishes. All inclusive snack options outside the restaurant were limited. The only included snack outside the restaurants, on the all inclusive option was the "cake of the day" from Mike's Coffee Bar, which unfortunately appeared to be the same baked tart throughout the week. Aside from that, the only other all inclusive option available was a small selection of cookies. I also found some of the additional charges surprising. Random scanning of the all inclusive wristbands felt unnecessary and inconsistent, and I cannot remember the last time I stayed in a 4 star hotel and had to pay extra for use of the room safe. Pool towel exchanges are limited to one complimentary change, with additional exchanges charged at €2 each. Another issue was the shortage of sun beds. There are clearly not enough for the number of persons staying at the hotel, which inevitably leads to people reserving beds early morning and not using them until much later in the day. This became a daily frustration. The rooms, cleanliness, location and general upkeep were all very good. The all inclusive felt restrictive, particularly when it came to food availability outside restaurant hours. Combined with the additional charges and ongoing sun bed issues, I’m not sure I would return. Good points • Clean rooms and well maintained public areas with attractive décor. • Clean indoor and outdoor pools. • Comfortable beds. • Stromboli restaurant was excellent. (one complimentary visit included) • Great location close to a lovely beach. • Good drinks service. We all genuinely had a good holiday, and I accept a lot is based on personal choice / expectations

El personal en general muy agradables. Las piscinas y la sauna muy bien. Las bebidas de buena calidad y las comida variada.

Quizá serían necesarias duchas dentro de la piscina climatizada. Se nota que necesita alguna reforma en las habitaciones, pero las camas son cómodas.

Im Hotel gibt es eine Wasserfall, der uns beim Einzug gestört hat. Wir konnten jedoch ein anderes Zimmer beziehen, welches uns die Ruhe gebracht hat.

Im Zimmer gab es nur 2 Hacken auf denen man Handtücher aufhängen konnte. Das Schloss bei der Türe war defekt, wir konnten nicht ins Zimmer. Das Geschirr im Speisesaal war regelmäßig schmutzig. Der Weg zum Strand war viel zu weit. Während wir beim Frühstück waren, muss man mir Geld aus der Geldbörse entwendet haben. Das Personal insgesamt war nicht besonders freundlich, bis auf einige wenige.

Hotel tranquilo, solo para adultos. El entorno, tiene acceso directo la playa. Hay aparcamientos en la parte trasera.

El buffet algo mejorable, no había mucha variedad para ser un hotel grande. Esta un poco pensado para extranjeros cierra a las 21:30

A medence bárjában a színvonalon aluli saláta amit ebédre kértünk és a koktél gyenge minősége szinte alkoholt sem tartalmazott.Hozzáteszem félpanziós ellátásban mindenért fizettünk.A tengerre néző kilátás nem minden esetben igaz,annak ellenére hogy azt foglaltunk.

Peaceful location, leisure facilities, 5 mins walk to beach, room size and comfy bed, buffet variety and freshness. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful.

Vegetarian food could be more clearly labelled - had to check with chef each evening. Room and around hotel could be a bit cleaner, but was acceptable. Staff a bit abrupt sometimes.

Everything was excellent. Most importantly for us, the hotel was exceptionally clean and very well organized. What impressed us even more was that almost all of the staff spoke German fluently, which made communication very easy. The rooms were also clean, modern, and stylish.

Breakfast and dinner were excellent, with a wide variety of choices. However, lunch was quite repetitive and almost the same every day.

La politica que tienen con el agua potable, desayuno puedes beber del dispensador,almuerzo también,en la cena si quieres agua no puedes coogerla del dispensador,lo tienen tapado,no puedes llevarte tu propia agua si no compras una botella de plastico vacia que venden por 4 euros,si quieres agua la pagas y es del dispensador que tienen tapado,no tienes otra opción, me parece algo fuera de lugar y cutre cuando en el desayuno la gente tiene cava para servirse,no volveré por ese motivo aunque todo lo demás esté bién

Horarios de comida. Tuvimos un par de días problemas con las tuberías del baño que nos salía agua fecal por la bañera al ser la habitación en piso bajo. Y el filtro de la rejilla de la habitación estaba bastante deteriorado

The hotel was lovely. It was peaceful and relaxing. We found everything to be clean and well maintained. The food was very good, varied and tasty. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Our main criticism would be the location. You are completely isolated. There are no amenities or shops nearby. There is nowhere of any interest within walking distance at all. We felt that had we known about the location we would not have booked a holiday here.

La habitación que nos asignaron, muy grande y al lado de la salida a la playa, suite junior en zona privilege. La atención personalizada de la camarera Rocío (gallega), muy atenta, amable y detallista. Buena profesional. Hotel sin niños, muy tranquilo, silencio, muy bueno para el descanso.

Por desconocimiento no sabíamos que la media pensión no incluye bebidas en la cena y no fuimos avisados, ni siquiera agua. La presión del agua es muy débil aunque parece ser un problema general del sur de la isla.

Letti scomodi nonostante fossero ampi ma con materassi usurati si sentivamo le molle ho riposato male . Per quanto riguarda il buffet colazione ottima ma la cena per quanto riguardava carne e pesce poco ,e il solito petto di pollo e il solito diciamo merluzzo scottato alla piastra con dosi minime ... primi inesistenti se nn paella basica ... io diversificherei la carne e il pesce variando e aumentando le porzioni. Per il resto frutta e verdura e dolci il top. Sempre che uno si sazi solo con quelli . Nell' insieme discreto

Hotel molto tranquillo, pulito e con ottimi servizi. Buona anche la cucina. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

La sera non c'era nulla da fare nei dintorni e l'animazione serale dell'hotel non era un granché. Cassaforte a pagamento.

The first time we stayed in Playa Esmerelda was around 25 years ago, and reading the reviews we wanted a relaxing chilled holiday, so we knew exactly what to expect. We booked a superior room on AI basis and our room couldn't have been more perfectly located as the first one from the lobby 2501. We found the food very varied at Breakfast, lunch & dinner in the restaurant ( we didn't eat in the pool bar) and the staff all very friendly , all the staff at the Blue bar in the lobby were really great and very accommodating. There are free water stations around the hotel where you can help yourself anytime day or night and fill up your water bottles, don't worry if you haven't one as they sell them for 4 euro. Music in the Blue bar is chilled and starts at 8pm, we didn't venture to the pool bar for late music as we were just there to chill down. If you are looking for the most relaxing holiday then I can't recommend Playa Esmerelda enough, if you are looking for fast food chains & karaoke bars then Costa Calma isn't for you, but it certainly ticked all the boxes for us

Stayed here for one night due to hotel logistics. We had shortlisted this prior to holiday but went for the vibe of Tindaya instead. We had two rooms booked at Tindaya but as they were full occupancy when we arrived, the two rooms were opposite sides of hotel. So offered us Esmerelda for the night until two adjacent rooms became available. So took chance to try it. Also we had one 17yr old with us so had knocked Esmerelda off our list early on. But this didnt seem to be an issue with the hotel being adults only - didnt really question at the time but could be because we were essentially getting a favour from both sides they didnt note or mention being underage. The handover was handled really well, good comms between the hotel so everything was in place when we arrived. We had two rooms at the front of the hotel overlooking the sea. I will say they are a bit of a trek to go and forwards from the pool and restaurant areas. Nothing showstopping but not the easiest route. We had two adjacent rooms and with our patio doors opening out onto a nearly private piece of grass it was like having a min-garden to ourselves. Restaurant was good. Decent good range and if you are a little bit of a foody there are a la carte type dishes available - on comparison with Tindaya - although Tindaya food is good, proteins are limited to grilled meats which get a bit tiresome after a while. Main bar was really nice. Again the drinks are a little more bespoke than Tindaya which adds to a little bit mote class. Pool area was nice - bit of a theme - compared to Tindaya it was nice to be able to head to pool and actually get sunbeds. Overall the decor is slightly dated - could do with a refurb. But would definitely shortlist if we visited Fuertaventura again.

We are here at the moment so I thought I’d write this review now. Starting with check in: we arrived weary after s long journey (90 mins) from the airport. We stood waiting at the desk for over 25 minutes! At no time did any member of staff acknowledge our presence or offer us a drink whilst we were waiting. When we eventually got to the desk it was a fairly uneventful check in. A drink was offered and we were shown to our room. I did report this all to a manager called Eduardo. The room is nice and the bed very comfortable. We were given 1 pool towel each (not the biggest we’ve seen and very well used) and were told we could have ONE free change during our 10 days and if we wanted an extra change it would cost €2! Thankfully we had brought very large towels from home but this would have been a problem if not. I then went to open the safe only to find out that it would cost €18 or €2.70 per day to use In all the years we have been travelling we have NEVER been asked to pay to store our valuables away. I have a lockable suitcase so we used that instead. Sunbeds are okay but there have been incidents during our stay when people couldn’t find one. Some staff are friendly but others could do with some customer service training. I did speak to a manager 4 days ago to ask if I could take a soft pillow down to the pool area as I have fibromyalgia and find the lounger quite uncomfortable- he said he would get back to me…… I’m still waiting! I would have appreciated an answer even if it was a no! The food is okay but it can be a bit of a free for all when busy. One big gripe I have is that there is a water machine in the restaurant which you can help yourself to, BUT in the evening they cover it up and charge €3 for it!!! It’s the same water, they just put it in a bottle out the back. I now take a plastic bottle with free water in to dinner with me. How they get away with this is beyond me. With 2 days left here I’m looking forward to getting home and won’t be booking an H10 hotel again.

Hotel algo anticuado, la piscina termal y el jaccuzi no funcionaban a veces, y el buffet faltan algún camarero y que estén algo más atentos a la hora de atender.

En general, todo. El personal fue muy atento, sobre todo Marcelo que nos atendió muy bien y fue muy amable.

No me gusto la cena, creo que para el hotel que era la cena era pésima muy poca variedad y el horario hasta las 9 y media cuando los canarios cenan a las 9 y media

La ubicación muy cercana a la playa. La habitación estaba bastante bien y la comida en general bastante buena. Un plus que tenían muchas opciones vegetarianas.

Imposible conseguir hueco en la piscina. Dos días sin éxito a pesar de que el hotel indica que no se puede reservar pero la realidad es que desde horas tempranas las hamacas están reservadas. Nos tuvimos que ir a la playa.

Firstly I must say the esmaralda is one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in there was always staff Cleaning. The room was Great ,the view not so much it looked on to derelict land but could see the sea if you looked to the right, the room was cleaned daily the maid done a great job. The pool was lovely again always kept clean. The down side you have to pay for pool towels to be changed 2 euros, you do get one free change. Also you only get one bottle of water on arrival which is a glass bottle so cant refill at the water stations, we did buy a plastic bottle to refill but the maid threw it away . Wadi the entertainment host was great he kept us entertained with French bowls and darts. We feel the entertainment in the evenings finished to early , it finished at 10.30 and was just getting going. The beach was not far just down some steps and was beautiful . All in all a good relaxing week. Karen

AI 6 night hol with family. Lovely room. Fab food lots of choice. Pool area lovely, clean comfy rooms. Manuel was brilliant at the bar he made our hol! Andy was also great who served us in restaurant. Not much at resort but bus to jandia area reasonable. Nice shop on site and coffee bar. Loved the turtles by the waterfall in hotel. Beach was nice but be prepared for nudies. Would return.

Goteo del aire acondicionado de madrugada que me impidió descansar. Al estar ubicado en la entrada de la habitación y justo a la altura del baño me resbalé y casi me caigo, ya que inicialmente no sabía de dónde venía el ruido. Por la mañana se dio el parte a la recepción y se arregló.

Our second visit to this hotel, 4 years after our first visit, and this felt even better. As residents of Fuerteventura, we're not coming for the sunshine - so the hotel really has to shine, and the H10 did. It was the small detail that made the difference above other hotels, such as a drink offered on arrival at check in. This is a lovely, peaceful hotel, great for relaxing. Our room was ready at 3pm, and was modern and clean. Previously we stayed in the main building - this time we were in the blocks nearer the beach. The rooms here are super quiet, but it is a longer walk back to the main building for breakfast/dinner. Food is of a really good standard, and regularly replenished. Always lots of tasty options to choose from, and we enjoyed the themed nights. All of the staff were very friendly - at every level, always greeting us with a friendly smile. There is always a chef around in the restaurant who can assist with information about the food and ingredients/allergies. The entertainment is spot on for the hotel - there's no "theatre", but instead usually a music option in the main bar and another music or entertainment option in the pool bar. This is much better than some badly put on "theatre show", and fits the relaxed vibes of the hotel. The scannable wristbands make it really easy to add extras to the room, and are far better for accessing the room (no need to remember a key). The Wi-Fi worked throughout the hotel and was free. Just a few minor criticisms. Firstly, we were Half Board, and were surprised that there was no drink option included with the evening meal - not even water. This should be reconsidered. Second, the safe in the room is not included and is an extra fee. These days this should be included as standard. And a few things were out of order - including the 2nd lift in the main building, which often led to a lengthy wait for the lift. The steam room was also out of action, and looked like it had been for a while, which was a shame as we were hoping to make use of this. Finally, it would be a real bonus for the rooms that have space on the balcony/terrace to have sunloungers outside - we had a terrace but only chairs and a table. Some of the other rooms we noticed did have sunloungers. Only minor criticisms - we'll certainly be back, and we recommend this hotel.
