Plunge Beach Resort

The hotel is very good; my dissatisfaction is with Booking.com. They confirmed my reservation at the Holiday Inn, but when I arrived, there was no booking. This happened in New York in June, and I’ve decided not to do business with them anymore.

nice location beach staff/bar/restaurant staff were great. manager on duty was a real sh.. tried changing my room. He wanted to charge me a higher price than I showed him. It was Online wasn’t going for it.

pictures online need to be updated. It also says it has EV charging it does not there’s one charger around the corner that charges four times the normal rate driving an electric car. That is a big problem.

The resort is very nice and clean! Has a boutique feel. I like that there is a food shopping center within walking distance among other retail locations. Very convenient.

BUYER BEWARE! I could not stay there after check in due to loss of power there there was no electricity or hot water. My stay was pre paid by booking and both parties refuse to give me back full refund after multiple times of trying to get my refund back. I had to book another stay somewhere else for the remainder of the days. They refuse to refund because it is non refundable but could stay policy. 😖 Don’t go there

La playa

A ver : No hubo electricidad el dia que llegamos hasta el dia siguiente a las1.00pm. Despues nuevamente al dia siguiente tampoco hubo electricidad , es decir dos dias. Luego no habia señal en la TV y la gente de COMCAST estuvo los dos dias tratando de arreglar el tema sin exito. Como comprenderan .....todo un desastre por los acontecimientos. La actitud de la gestion considero que fue nefasta, ya que si sucedio lo indicado debio dar auque sea un gesto si no una exoneracion en el servicio de uso de la playa en la arena ( resort) que no se usa por solo poner tu toalla en la arena??? El sitio me gusta aunque muy basico .

Read the fine print it’s not exactly beach front from the bungalows m. If you’re lower level you can’t see beach from room and they make it seem like you have your own pool and you don’t. Adult pool is what the description should say. And the adult only pool closes before regular pool.

Instalaciones antiguas, falta remodelar, ni había TV, agua caliente ni teléfono. Me cambiaron a una habitación más grande pero muy simple

La habitacion era super comoda y el acceso a la playa era a pasos de la habitacion. Tambien que la estadia incluya silla y sombrilla en la playa fue fundamental.

Julio was great at check-in period Juliet was very informative and helpful at the bar. Suzette and Marie were great at the checkout. All in all I had a wonderful time And most importantly My wife Was very pleased.

Awesome location, and loved the adult pool and food/bar on the beach.

Our air conditioner in the bungalow wasn’t working that well. Also there was an annoying dog that barked all the time. The bungalow should be for guests 21 and over and kids were staying in the rooms.

The only things that made the stay enjoyable were the hotel itself. The location is excellent, the pool area has a great atmosphere, the food is good, and the staff is outstanding. Every employee I met was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely worked hard to provide excellent service. Unfortunately, those positives weren't enough to make up for the bungalow experience.

After staying in the One King Bed Bungalow, I honestly wouldn't book this room again. For the price, I expected something unique and comfortable, but the room was the complete opposite. It was extremely small, unattractive, and far less impressive than the photos suggest. The bathroom was especially disappointing. There is almost no counter space to place a toothbrush, toiletries, or personal items, making it very inconvenient for more than a one-night stay. Although the room includes a coffee maker, there's still no microwave, which is another unnecessary inconvenience. The soundproofing is poor. You can clearly hear conversations from the neighboring room, making it difficult to relax or sleep peacefully. I was also disappointed that the "private" plunge pool uses salt water. Personally, I didn't find it enjoyable or worth paying extra for. Honestly, I'd recommend booking a standard room in the main building instead. It will likely be less expensive, more spacious, more comfortable, and a much better overall value. In my opinion, the One King Bed Bungalow simply doesn't justify its price. I expected a premium experience but left feeling very disappointed.

The hotel's location is excellent. The beach is just steps away, and the overall atmosphere is one of its biggest strengths. The pool area is very nice, and during my stay there was live entertainment and music, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food and drinks served by the pool were very good. The best part of the hotel, however, is definitely the staff. Every employee I interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about providing great service. Overall, the hotel has a fun, relaxed vibe that makes it enjoyable to stay.

My biggest disappointment was how the beach umbrellas are handled. They remove them as soon as there's even a slight breeze. I completely understand safety concerns, but on several occasions the wind was barely noticeable, and being left without any shade under the Florida sun makes spending time on the beach very uncomfortable. The soundproofing between rooms also needs improvement. I turned on my hair dryer, and shortly afterward someone knocked on my door asking me to lower my TV volume—even though the TV was muted. If a neighboring room can clearly hear a hair dryer, the walls simply aren't insulated well enough. Another downside was the lack of both a microwave and a coffee maker in the room. Those are basic amenities that many hotels provide today. Lastly, many of the chairs and couches throughout the property were heavily stained. They may have been clean, but they looked worn and unpleasant. I also wish the TVs supported streaming apps like Netflix. Overall, I enjoyed my stay because of the great atmosphere and outstanding staff, but there are several details that should be improved for the price.

Beach bar had nice views

Room was a nice size but sparsely furnished. Room with the ocean view has a volleyball net right outside. People played until after 10, telling and screaming in the dark.

Die direkte Lage am Strand war gut, auch dass pro Zimmer zwei Liegen und ein Sonnenschirm inklusive waren. Geräumige Zimmer, gerade mit mehreren Koffern von Vorteil. Ein Supermarkt war ebenfalls in drei Minuten fußläufig erreichbar.

Während unseres Besuchs waren sehr viele Algen am Strand und im Wasser. Die Fliesen im Bad waren teilweise etwas lose und gebrochen.

Staff are so friendly and helpful. Suzette, Kent and Eugene were all wonderful! The property is very well maintained, the pool is always being cleaned, plenty of chairs available by the pool, toiletries in the bathroom are great! Fruit infused water in the lobby is a plus and some days there was complimentary juice made on site that they offered in the lobby by the check in desk. Our balcony was lovely to have. I felt very safe and comfortable in the area—you have to wear a plastic bracelet for duration of your stay but it’s reassuring to know that random people from the street can’t come in and use the pool or facilities. No fuss when I asked to check out at 12pm! Staff was wonderful in helping get me an umbrella on the beach and were super attentive (Shaun and Tim thank you!) Publix is literally across the street, along with Dunkin and CVS! We didn’t make it to the local restaurants and stores in town by the water but we loved this place so much we are coming back in September to check it all out!

The mini fridge in our room is very small. They can easily fit a larger one in the huge space we had. A coffee maker in the room would make it so much better but I understand they are running a business and there is a coffee shop in the island tower lobby that serves fresh coffee, drinks and even a huge assortment of ice creams for purchase. Tons of red seaweed in the ocean but that’s Mother Nature and nothing the property can control.

Location, beach, free bikes to use, restaurant on site. The decor is so cute and the amenities were great. We loved everything. It is walkable to restaurants and beach stores. Our teens loved there was a volleyball court on the beach

We loved everything about this place.

Ocean view room was very nice. A nice touch was having Eugene so us to our room. Eugene was very nice and told us of some of the recent renovations.

It was unusual not to have a coffee maker in the room. The pool bar was nice to have as an option but the bar area smelled so bad we could not stand to sit at the bar or in the tables near by. The garbage cans in the hall near the elevator were full and not emptied at any point during our 2 night stay. The front desk staff were friendly but the check in process is very slow.

Small hotel with easy parking near the shore at the peaceful Lauderdale by the Sea. Staff is extremely and authentically attentive. We were greeted by Jessica and Suzette at the front desk who were extremely courteous and pleasant, very professional. Our room was made daily by Elaine, a sweetheart. Very pleasing people. I can’t wait to return. It’s also worth to mention the quality of the breakfast at Octopus and their waitresses.

The decoration of the walls and colors and the carpet needs to be changed.

Andre was the utmost with helpfulness. As well as Jose. Jose made SURE I had everything I needed and we were well taken care of. The front desk staff was absolutely the best. So accommodating & the room was so close to beach, and it was spotless.

The young guy at the beach bar was just alright. Never in a hurry. And we never felt like they needed our business. Food at bar was just okay. There was a girl working there too-someone’s she was nice, & sometimes she just wasn’t.

Shower only had two settings: hot or boiling hot 😭🔥The carpet is really old, them felt uncomfortably like “elementary school”, and is that a photograph of Ed Gein on the fifth floor ????? Also there were ants 🐜 🤢 The desks were basic wood… very odd.

Unfreundlicher Empfang Irgendwie hatten wir das Gefühl, dass mit unserem Zimmer nicht stimmte.. Wir haben dann nach langem warten, und nach Freigabe vom Manager, doch noch ein Zimmer mit Meersicht bekommen. Leider wurde mein Verdacht bestätigt. WC Spühlung funktionierte nicht richtig. Klimaanlage war defekt (lief nur mit Vollkühlung weil Temeratursensor defekt). Interessierte bei der Reklamtion niemanden. Der gehobene Preis stimmt mit dem Erlebten nicht überrein. Nicht genügend Badetücher für 3 Personen im Badezimmer. Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen.

This property should be condemned. The balconies are being held up with structural pilling s tools for it not to be falling down. Honestly, I thought about checking out. I loved that the location was right on the beach. The staff were amazing! The hotel was always kept clean! Beach chairs are provided daily which was a plus for me. The bar food was good!

😟 I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. While the staff was friendly and did their best to be accommodating, the condition of the property was unacceptable and overshadowed any positive aspects of the experience. The hotel's beachfront location is its only real saving grace. Unfortunately, once you step inside, it's clear that the property is badly in need of major renovations. The hallway carpets were old, heavily stained, and appeared dirty. The dark blue paint throughout the hotel made the entire atmosphere feel dark, outdated, and dingy. Several pieces of furniture in my room were worn, damaged, and should have been replaced long ago. I was so uncomfortable with my room that I requested to be moved, but I was told the hotel was fully booked. As a result, I spent as much time as possible away from the room and on the beach. Instead of enjoying my accommodations, I found myself counting down the days until I could leave. For the price paid, I expected a much cleaner, more updated, and comfortable environment. The location alone cannot make up for the poor condition of the property. Until significant renovations are completed, I would not recommend staying here.

Umbrellas were not available for the beach on 3 of 4 days we were there. Winds were what I would consider light, 10-15 mph, and ALL other properties along the LBTS beach had their umbrellas out, but not the Plunge! Their umbrellas don’t have screws to hold them in the sand, so they won’t put them out if there is any wind!!! Bungalow king room was decent, but no view whatsoever and furniture was lacking. There was NO closet, no vanity in the bathroom, the only lamp in the room was a small handmade lamp next to the bed. Air conditioning was good, relatively quiet, but ceiling fan controls didn’t work for speed, simply on and off, luckily it was on low. Bungalow pool was very nice and peaceful. Main pool was large and very busy. Bar was really fun, but food and drinks were a bit limited and expensive, though not too bad.
