Really dirty to the point I would say unhygienic Carpets stained and dirty, disgusting built up of dirt and hair in corners of bathroom and whole room smelt horrible
Handicapped rooms are great. No stairs or steps, handholds in shower where most places you’re sure to slip! Generous with teas and coffee Window looks at parking lot, ground level, although by a M road convenience restaurants, very quiet
Easy access to shops
Stayed here for 1 overnight stay as we where visiting local areas of interest and this hotel was very conveniently located on the service station with good access to food in the service station.
Check in was wonderful, bath mat was dirty. Bathroom was clean aswell as the bedroom.
Good cheap stay, beds comfortable and clean, but shower had dust and hair around the edges and the toilet wasn't flushed when we had arrived.
Great receptionist really helpful and informative. Made our stay perfect.
Overall it was not a property i would rent again
The receptionist Charlie was excellent, friendly and very helpful
Second stay. Very pleasant staff.
My room was spotless and bed and pillows were so comfy.very comfortable stay .and will definitely stay again . Only thing was the tele sound and signal kept going .otherwise 120 /100 stay .Thankyou .
Never fails to deliver. Have stayed in sevwral Days inns. Excellent value for money.
Our room was an accessible room, as requested. My husband is unable to walk more than a few yards and He also suffers with COPD, which necessitates his having to have two machines to provide and distribute oxygen throughout the night. The bathroom was large and had many grab handles, but there was a BATH, not a shower! How was my husband supposed to get into a bath? There was ONE socket in the bedroom. ONE socket for two critical oxygen machines and a fan, not even a USB loint for charging our mobile phones. What an extremely disappointing experience over the two nights. Never again.
Perfect room, facilities and staff thank you.
no hot water in the morning surprised to be charged an extra £5 for overnight parking...for a motorcycle! I'd be happy to pay £5 if there was something to lock the motorcycle to.
Quick overnight stop to break our journey. Room was a bit dated but clean. Room was quiet and good value
The reception staff where amazing and very helpful however the room was filthy! Curtains torn, hanging down, stains on the walls! Broken sink, dirty stained toilet, shower was dirty and stained. Carpets were torn and stained. £90 including disabled parking. Total disgrace! Not impressed.
Nice hotel and friendly staff
A cheap overninght stay. Staff approachable and very helpfull. Place is tiered and in need of updating. Carpets and walls stained. The wholle building did no smell great. Supper clean bedding and towles. Dated but effective shower.
Good stay . Been before. Mattress was very poor soft and a big dip in middle. Rest all ok
Television was the only problem- it kept losing signal interrupting programmes
Dirty shower drain
Location is convenient to travellers and within the vicinity of Welcome Break. Cost of accommodation is affordable. However, property needs updating. Walls are moldy (bathroom), shower basin covered in stain, and the room smells musty. All of us woke up in the morning with bad cough. Booked for 3 but just provided amenities for 2.
Disabled parking right outside entrance to hotel, EV chargers right outside hotel. The lady on reception was absolutely fantastic, anything she could do to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable was no trouble at all. Staff like her are few and far between nowadays. Hotel is due a revamp in the near future I believe, which will further enhance the facilities and stay experience.
Had to pay car parking which is normally free if booked direct. Because we booked through Experian we were charged £5.
The room was dirty, everything was tired, shocking and the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in, in my life. Give it a miss.
Staff were excellent, chatty and very friendly. Quick asn easy to check in. Bedroom was large and clean, usual tea, coffee provided. However bathroom was outdated and not that clean unfortunately.
Not told about paying for car parking at the hotel, first we heard of it was when receptionist asked for parking fee. Bathroom sink had a massive creak right across the basin. Shower tray obviously had something stuck to the floor, since taken up and all the residue left, looked awful. The shower head was too high for me and had very limited movement with a spray of mist coming out from around the jets of water. Lights in room didn't work properly, door handles were taken off, untidy looking then knobs put on door, totally shabby 70s looking doors. The curtains were hanging off the rails and just left hanging. The mattress on both beds had big dips in the middle and the springs were extremely noisy. Maintenence is obviously not a high priority here, or the workmen doesn't have any skills.
Decent enough for short stop over.
Great staff
Arrived Thursday early evening, the lovely lady at reception was friendly and helpful. She also remembered my friend and i from November last year. We were given our key cards, as we had both booked in on line, put in the car registration at the desk. My room was clean and what i was expecting. Good 2 night stay.
The welcome was reassuring, after a very busy day of work , I was welcomed by the nice lady with smile. She checked me in wothout delay and promptly gave ironing board on first ask. Thank you
Hotel has started charging to park if you dont book direct. Condition of hotel very poor. Carpets etc look and feel dirty. Bathroom floor was sticky. Only one plug socket in the room, nowhere near the bed.
Nothing
Plenty of options too eat and seating
We booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 children. On arrival the room only had 1 bed for 1 child. We asked the person in reception and she said there was a pull out bed under. We went back to room and the pull out bed was there but very dusty and with no sheets. Went back and the receptionist said she’d bring some bed sheets for us. I wasn’t very happy but words didn’t come out of my mouth as I was in a bit of shock. Luckily when she returned she had thought about it and changed us to a room with 2 already made beds for the children. However, the shower floor was disgusting and there was only one towel for shower and one for hands. So in the morning when we realised we had to go and ask for more towels. Then we realised the shower gel bottle was empty. The bed was very uncomfortable, with the mattress bringing us both to the middle of the bed. The pillows were very uncomfortable too. Not recommended
I was shocked to see only 2 single plugs in room which were used for tele and kettle, there was limited capacity to change 2 peoples phones, iPads overnight. The shower tray was really dirty, the shower drain was absolutely filthy, the window in room would not shut properly, there was marks on bed sheets, there was stains all over the walls and carpets
Very reasonable price; convenient, hassle free. Fantastic value for money
2 people in a double room, so why only 1 towel?
Poorly presented and dated with rated ceiling. Arrived and left without a working television, several lights didn’t work, the shampoo/ body wash in the shower had run out. There was no usb points, only one useable power socket in the whole room.
easy to charge Tesla
Very friendly reception, quick check-in process. Got a number of food outlets next to the hotel and lots of parking space.
Good price, ok accommodation but very dated like an 80s old people s home. My room (004) ground floor by entrance had no lace curtain for privacy.Asked reception about this, just told “ it got ripped”!4 day stay not a single room clean or towel change or tea/coffee top up during whole stay. Poor.
Cheap and clan accommodations with friendly staff.
Excellent service from staff.
Unfortunately we arrived the place smelt of cigarettes in the corridor we entered our room to find 100s of hairs all over the bathroom we had to place a towel on the floor so we did nt stand on them the bed had seen better days there was a massive rip in the bed frame and the mattress was so bad you could feel the springs and there was a dip in the middle of the bed we ended up sleeping on towels too as the bedding was hairy and made us feel dirty. Very upsetting experience
Our stay was comfortable bed were lovely staff was very welcoming and friendly helpful especially charlie and their was an Indian man sorry don't remember his name lovely man
Perfectly adequate, front desk staff lovely but WiFi non-existent and not as advertised
The property is situated in a very good location and is very accessible. I know this may sound contrite but the the noise from the motorway does not allow sleeping very well and in this situation better sound proofing would be ideal
Had a one night stay. Friendly and helpful receptionist . Room clean and tidy, had all i required.
Convenient and clean but only one socket and nothing near the beds
Easy to access location
It. Was so dirty.Blood on the bed is Stains on the pillows , I had to be moved to a Different room and in the bathroom was so dirty. My husband did not shower 2 days we booked 2 nights i will never stay in days in again
Great
Good mid point between Manchester and London
Great value for money. Only problem was my booking via Expedia didn't show on Days Inn booking so it nay have been an Expedia problem.
For what we paid was ok. Staff were excellent and couldn’t have been kinder. Room was basic but had what we needed. The area outside was littered but mainly from Starbucks and smokers not necessarily staying at the hotel.
Great
Although cheep to stay I would expect not to find stains on the bedding.
It is a pity that the car park immediately in font of the Days Inn has now been converted to the environmentally unfriendly electric car charging points so robbing the hotel of close and convenient parking for guests
Great Receptionist, really kind and helpful. Ideal location for all local attractions
Courtesy of staff
Helpful member of staff
Very convenient. Hotel needs updating
Very dated hotel, room smelled and was dirty, shower had hair all over the wall and red mould everywhere. Bedroom Floor was wet and there was old receipts between the sheets and duvet. Window wouldnt lock as it had previously been forced open
Just what I needed for my short trip to MotoGP at Silverstone. Would definitely stay again in the future
The stay started badly when we had to wait for ages for someone to appear at reception to book us in. I had bookewd 2 rooms, one for my husband and me and a second for a german friend who was flying home the next day. I was booked into room 106 and our friend into 108, but the key cards got mixed up and we ended up with swapped ones and the girl on the desk said it didn't matter which one we took, which I thought a bit odd. When we got to our rooms, our friend's on had a very smelly bathroom and sticky carpets, so he arranged to change rooms and was put into 110. All three rooms had only one powerpoint in each, and that was by the mirror over the desk area, nowhere near the bed. Our friend has sleep apnoea and has to be able to pug in a machine to keep him breathing whilst asleep, but enquiries at reception, (eventually, as trhe lady had disappeared again) found that the hotel did not have any form of extension lead and had it not been that by luck we had a jo-jo reel in our car, we would have to have left the hotel and found somewhere else to stay. We didn't expect much at trhe price, but the ability to stay alive was a glaring necessity. Between 10:30 and 11:00pm when we were in bed and my husband was asleep a man used a keycard and walked into our room! I pointed out his error then after he left I engaged the lock and security chain. We discovered in the morning that the same had happened to our friend!!! The rooms had obviously been let again to someone else!
Very comfortable, at a reasonable price
Over priced with spiders and insects
.
Clean, tidy
Really poor quality stay in a room that quite clearly wasn't up to the standards of cleanliness you would expect. Dirty facilities and had trouble checking in, which when late was very frustrating
Was as youd expect for a £45 a night hotel, clean and a bit worn around tue edges but everything worked. They even had a fan which took us by surprise as it was one of the large ones.
Nice and clean but is starting to look slightly tired. Could do with a refurbishment soon
The electric’tripped’ three times whilst we were there. For example ..You couldn’t put the bathroom light on if TV was on as the electricity tripped out.. the reception staff had to reset it every time. Very inconvenient for me and my husband who is disabled. It was very noisy being adjacent to a motorway; I don’t think the glass in the windows was ‘sound proof glass. We didnt enjoy the breakfast which you had to collect in a polystyrene box from the motorway service station. The meal wasn’t very palatable and very greasy.
Staff were friendly on arrival but and beds were comfortable. The television did not work (the aerial had been wired directly into the socket not using the plug) and there was only one electricity socket for two people.
Uncomfortable bed. No plug sockets next to the bed. Room and bathroom were very tired and in need of refurbishment.
Needs refreshing and more plug sockets - only 2 in the room! Also could do with usb sockets for charging phones etc
* It was budget friendly. * It was conveniently off the M40 with fuel, car charging points, a Burger King, KFC & Starbucks within walking distance. * The staff were very helpful & friendly. * The room & bathroom were old & dirty. * The bed was one of those hotel beds that everyone dreads - it sagged in the middle & we could feel every spring. We did not sleep well because of this.
It’s functional and is a good clean place to stay
The shower had hair near the plug/drain area, when their is x2 people in the room and only one chair it can be awkward when trying to have something to eat
Hotel ok but a little tired. Good point to stop over on journeys to airports maybe
It has everything needed for a quick stopover. Rooms clean but a bit dated. Adequate toilet and shower facilities
Great stay as always
The phrase, it does what it says on the tin, springs to mind. It is a clean basic bed for the night, during an extended journey. It was quiet with the windows shut but inevitably you can hear the motorway with them open, which might be an issue in the summer, if your room is at the front.
Great location
Quite clean inside. Had a disinfectant kind of smell. Plenty of hot water. Paint work in corridor needs redoing. Had not realized when i booked that is part of motorway service stop. Only stayed the one night. Will not stay again.
Had a good sleep
Room and hotel were clean. Great value for money. Reception staff very friendly and accommodating. Used as a stop over on a long journey home - perfect for this!
TV didn’t work, internet didn’t work.
Very comfortable and clean and the staff very helpful and pleasant in both the hotel and Welcome break.
Motorway services perfect position for our visit. Quiet at night.
Quick stopover and very convenient for us
Good staff and room, bargain.
The receptionist was very friendly. The bathroom was filthy, for example pubic hairs in the shower that hadn’t been cleaned. They hadn’t cleaned under the seat of the toilet. We were woke up to the sound of sawing as our room was opposite the utility room.
Great value for money for one stay - this hotel is located a service stop on M40. Rooms were fair size and clean and beds were comfortable
Good value for money - a comfortable and pleasant enough room (if a bit aged) and a decent bathroom/shower
Warm welcome and very helpful reception. Large room and very clean. Design a few decades old with limited power points and no USB slots. However, excellent value for money and easy wifi.
The lady at the reception was absolutely amazing she went above the rest .
