Das Hotel hatte schon bessere Tage gesehen! Die Zimmer benötigen dringen einer Renovierung. Die Tapete kommt schon von den Wänden. Die Klimaanlage ging nicht und in meinem Zimmer waren es nachts 27 Grad. Keine Fenster zum öffnen. Das Hotel bot ein anderes Zimmer an, aber dort das gleiche. Bin nach einer durchschwitzten Nacht ausgezogen, trotz des sehr hilfsbereiten Personals.

Well located, first class service, always a pleasure to stay there. Good restaurant, a quite VIP saloon, a dedicated attention to each guest, easy accesses to station or airport, many nice restaurant all around, golf course at walking distance, Big Mall too.

I always stay here when visiting my mum, i Stayed 7 nights, overall is good, but the air conditioner was not working. The room temperature is 25 C, it's in middle of March. Temperature 15 C daytime outside. The service is still good, they gave me a fan.

Hotel is average but staff is good. I visited in winter and heating system was working. However, mild smell of seepage was in the room. Cleaning was fine and breakfast was fine but limited options for guests staying in the hotel. Overall hotel is average rated.

Great service and attention to detail by staff. Spacious room and executive lounge was well appointed. The views were not particularly memorable. The food was average. Nevertheless, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Very spacious room. Could do with slightly better decor… This did not subtract from the cleanliness. Thanks for the lovely birthday cake surprise. It will not be forgotten! All in all I would recommend a stay here. I was there in 2018 however due to a technical issue I see that my review was not posted.

The cleaning crew is very nice and friendly. there is a little kitchen with refrigerator but no plates,knives or forks! The breakfast is variety of food especially China origin traditional food! We have a great weekend, will come again!

Good location, staff are very helpful, breakfast and buffet dinner spreads have many choice, also have local food. Swimming pool and sauna are very clean. My mum and I have a nice stay. The guy gave us un umbrella when we were planning to go out, instead of we didn’t notice. They care the details. Thank you for the good works

I was very disappointed with the location of this hotel. As Tianjin hotels were fully booked for this week, our company agency said I should go to the renaissance hotel. I thought it would be in Tianjin, as the address says that, but it’s actually 45 minutes east of the airport in Binhai, and it is in an industrial area with nothing else close by within walking distance ( or if there was we could not see it in the dark). We passed shops and restaurants on the way to the hotel but they were too far to walk to in the dark. The hotel itself is very nice and very friendly staff. The evening meal in the brasserie was either buffet ( not too bad) or a la carte ( not great). The a la carte main meal gave me the impression it had been stored pre cooked and reheated again. The buffet was much better and fresher. Breakfast was very busy and chaotic as usual. Maintaining your place when going to choose more food was a challenge as it is free seating I.e. you don’t get shown to a seat where the staff know you are now occupying, so you run the risk that someone will take your place. The room was nice, but not too big. The bed was ok, but the pillows were poor. The room was very noisy, especially with noise coming from the room on the floor above. Floors were banging significantly. The worst feature of the room was the heating , or in fact cooling. It was too hot and was maintaining 25 degrees , even if you set 18. It only made the fan turn faster with more noise but the temperature never decreased in 2 days.

Stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip. Very comfortable room offered a good night’s sleep. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and did their best to make the stay comfortable. A slight problem with a car booking when leaving for the airport but this was quickly resolved so I wouldn’t mark down for that. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again if I am staying in the area. Only slight issue was the smell of smoke in the room but it wasn’t enough to me a major problem.

It’s my first time to come to club lounge , lounge girls Wendy and Fiona ,have always warm greeting with me everyday they know me very well . Thank you for them all,and take good care for me every time.

Quality hotel with on site restraunt and bar, smoking area outside in a garden. Several small chique shops, they will assist you with whatever you need

It has been a while since I have visited this hotel for the first time. Back then I was not too happy with the substandard service. However, since my first review this place went through major changes, partly because of my review. The general manager has done a great job to address issues related to service attitude among the staff. While this hotel was an OK place before, now it is one of the top places measured by the friendliness and service attitude of its people. Charlie from the breakfast restaurant is probably one of the very best, knowing you by name and being always very friendly and very helpful, really great, many thanks! The front desk has good people too, Kaitlyn, Cherry, Snow and Michael Wang never failed to impress with their professionalism, many thanks for their help to resolve a complicated issue I had with receiving an international parcel. My lounge experience has improved too since staff there appears now to be much friendlier and to display care towards customers. I hope they can keep up this great job in the long run and not only towards me but towards all customers. In the end, people are what make a hotel a great hotel and this hotel succeeded to motivate its people to become a great place.

I today visited the restaurant with three friends. The decor is breath taking. We were welcomed by the most friendly and polite staff. We all ordered the whole chicken meal, this did not disappoint! The meal is huge and you are served a whole chicken, vegetables and potatoes with a bread basket! It is to die for! I am so sad that I am only on holiday visiting a friend and I will not get to enjoy this place on a regular basis!! You MUST go if you are in Tianjin!!! You will not be disappointed!! Enjoy 😊

Good hotel belonging to Marriott, to be renewed. The outside building and entrance are quite ok and well looking but starting from the elevator to the rooms it really need to be retrofitted. A part of this, all good and generally recommended.

オートロックの調子が悪かった

I stayed a couple of weeks in two rooms so far, 1021 and 1521, both suite rooms due to upgrade for platinum members. Although I initially wanted to write this comment soon after the first checkin, I did not, but now it is time for it. The rooms are not special or not outstanding or exiting in any way, just old fashion furniture, outdated but still acceptable. No highlights can be expected. The suite rooms are two rooms, a bedroom and a living room, a smaller toilet and just a bit bigger bath room with bath tub. Not nice at all. All in all, the room shows zero attention to details, terrible color combinations, a mix of all kinds of design of questionable taste, and as mentioned, really outdated. The mattress was in both rooms of inferior quality, already permanently caved in and deformed and much too soft. Your quality of sleep is clearly not at the heart of anyone here. Even worse, the hotel uses heavy chemicals to clean the linen, I have no issues with this in other hotels, but here my skin is permanently itching when in contact with, need to wear cloths at night. The room gets cleaned every day but many of its corners have not seen cleaning since long time, especially the 1021. I am non-smoker and have chosen a non-smoking room, but on the floor and in neighboring rooms, mainly Chinese are smoking even with front doors opened. Complaining at front desk does not change a thing. The rooms have acceptable wifi and tv with CNN, which turns black multiple times per day because of censoring by the Chinese government. The hotel has a nice gym and a huge swimming pool, with some strange people who are forcing you to wear a swim cap even when your hair is zero or 1 millimeter long. There is a sauna too, unfortunately just around 60-65 degrees Celsius, which is not enough. On the first floor is a breakfast restaurant, food with some choices, not bad but boring after a long stay, the service is ok (if you push them a little). The hotel has a club lounge on floor 12. The size is ok, have some more public and some more private corners. The food is clearly not a highlight, it could have more choices and better quality, here again, no attention to details. The biggest shortcomings however is the total lack of service attitude, no any of the personnel there is actually interested in you! It goes like this: you visit the lounge for the first time, you walk in, nobody of them gives you even a "hello sir", they are seeing you but not coming to offer you a table, you are somehow less interesting then their game on their iPhone. After you found a (hopefully) free table, you attempt to sit down. Now a staff is approaching you, no no, not to say hello to you, not to ask what drink you would like to have, etc. The only thing she actually says to you is: "Your room number?" She seems to believe her main job is to check your permission to be there! Nothing else. That is low low low Chinese style in an international hotel. I know, bad Chinese hotels have no service just unfriendly staff, but I am sorry, I do not accept this unfriendly behavior in an international hotel which is part of the Marriott chain. Shame on you to still not have learned how to deliver attention and service for your best customers! And this is how a good executive lounge experience starts (still in China, but in a different hotel, a Hilton or a Le Meridien or Westin): The entrance is manned with a friendly person, she asks your room number and learns your name, from now on she calls you by your name and she will recognize you every time you come back, will smile and say good evening mister x, nice to see you again. She takes you inside and leads you to a free table, you don`t need to guess whether a table is still free or taken, she knows it. She asks you whether you would like to have a coffee or something else, and she will make it or will order it for you. She makes sure, your table is serviced, empty plates or glasses get immediately removed, you don`t need to remind them to come and take, etc. But this hotel fails to have a lounge where staff is caring about details and caring about you, but in fact, they could`t care less, even after a month of stay. And it is not their English skills, they can speak English quite well, it is their unfriendly attitude. What this hotel needs is less foreign customers who stay there because they need to. What this hotel needs is staff with experience abroad, at least a GSM and GM who actually understand their customers. After all, this Renaissance hotel is substandard in service, major improvement and staff training is needed, while its facilities are not bad but not outstanding and rooms cry out loud for modernization, where bed linen is heavily contaminated with chemicals and unhealthy. There are alternatives too, just a minute away is a nice Sheraton.

The bed was very soft. I've been able to get the most honey sleep. The breakfast was excellent also, and most of all, the receptionist was so kind.

I was here on business for 5 days so not much into visiting any nearby attractions but I did attempt that long 5 kilometer walk to the out of the world Tianjin TEDA Library which in my opinion is worth a visit as if it were a sort of tourist attraction. The Club Lounge was just refurbished so it was a nice place to have light dinner and drinks, but food selections was just a short 5 to 10 minutes walk away so no issue too. The subway station was about 15 minutes away so getting to downtown Tianjin can take more than an hour and 30 minutes so it is better to get a taxi instead. Also I think this was one of the first international hotels to open so the rooms look dated and time for some gradual refurbishments to freshen up the hotel. Other than this it was a pleasant stay with really friendly staff.

I spent a few days here for a business trip and it was a great spot. The staff is extremely accommodating, the restaurant has a wide variety of options, the room was very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in the city.

This is a good hotel choice if you are visiting Tianjin TEDA (not same as downtown Tianjin). Centrally located hotel and walking distance to nice restaurants and shops I have been there almost 10 times this year and service over is great especially their executive lounge. Wendy and Cherry are great. Also in the downstairs restaurant look for Charlie and Kevin for any issues Few concerns I have is they allow smoking in the rooms and if you stay there during summer the AC doesn't work that well. All in all great place to stay.

Cherry and Fiona of the Club Lounge: one word for them is “excellent”. Thank you for a great birthday cake surprise! Loved it. Your hospitality was outstanding. The lady chef who welcomed me for my breakfast in the club lounge was also wonderful. Thank you! Wonderful surprise upgrade... Very spacious room. Couldn’t ask for anything bigger. Thanks. Furniture though Art Deco would benefit from a good refurbishment. Excellent service from house-keeping. Hotel is located near the cultural arts centre and that’s why I picked it. I recommend a club room for a wonderful experience. You’ll find other lovely services in the hotel too. Take a walk around!

As a platinum member, I was upgraded to a "huge" suite room with a full-size refrigerator! It had a very comfortable sized working desk that was superb for me. As expected, the bed was great for a good night's sleep. The Executive Lounge on the 12th floor had amazing array of breakfast and Happy Hour choices. Quiet with a great view of Binhai Cultural Centre and Wanda Shopping mall directly across! I like to commend Catherine who served me most of the time I was there. She remembers my English breakfast tea, sunny side up or omelet each morning! I could do my printing before each meeting so it was wonderful to have an "office" handy. This all happened during the busy Golden week holidays and Catherine remained attentive to my needs (even when someone took my regular breakfast table one morning!). Thank you Renaissance for a wonderful stay and professional team. Suggestion: provide more rotation of your Happy Hour menu because I stayed 11 nights and after a while, it became boring! The Renaissance is very conveniently located, walking distance to MSD/Isetan, Library/CBD in Economic Development Zone and many eating places and banks.

Good hotel in centre of Teda. Walking distance to local bars and has great facilities itself. Big menu in restaurant - buffet is very good. Meat cooked to perfection. Selection of both local and western food. Orange crepes were to die for. Very helpful waitstaff always will to help. A+

This hotel is very good for foreign visitors. The staff is friendly and will meet your needs when asked. The exexutive lounge has a good breakfast and happy hour. The lobby has live music all the time in the evenings, it is a good place to unwind.

I was there for a closure of business for 4 days. The hotel is big and has the required facilities, including a gym. The prices for the food and drinks are elevated, though the staff is friendly and most of the staff does speak English. In case you are in the neighbourhood this is a recommandabel hotel.

Hotel and rooms are good, friendly staff. clean room, very good breakfast buffet, but very limited the à la carte menu for dinner, The hotel is near the underground shopping centre which has wide varieties of food.

Spa very dirty rooms too hot impossible to cool down, tired and in need of new decor. General service excellent especially the breakfast and attentiveness.

Stayed here for 5 weeks in total. Good hotel, nice comfy rooms. Good food and service - try the buffet which includes local drinks. Or just up the road there is a row of 4 western type bars. Jacky's for food (best fish n Chips in China!), and Wei Ha next door for drinks and atmosphere. The local area is a little sterile, but quiet and safe, and walking distance for anything you could need. Easy to get further around as taxis plentiful and cheap in TEDA. Just wave one down with a red light on in the front screen.

This is a great hotel. Check in was pleasant and quick. Our room was spacious and spotless. The staff were all kind and helpful. It's in a great location with lots of shops and restaurants close by. I highly recommend to this hotel.
