Atlantic Palace Hotel

The hotel is 20 minute walk outside Sorrento but the road is too dangerous to walk. There is a shuttle bus though it first t operate past 11.00 pm and a taxi fare is 30 euro. There is good pool area and roof top bar but it is very quietindeed

There was a smell in our bathroom we reported twice but it wasn't really sorted or acknowledged on our departure.

המלון היה מהממם עזרו בכל דבר הצוות היה מדהים כל שאלה ובקשה היו שירותיים מאוד ! המיקום מצוין אנחנו התיידנו עם אופנוע 10 דקות ואתם במרכז. ביום הראשון לא השכרנו עדיין אופנוע ויש שאטלים מהמלון למרכז 2 יורו לבן אדם ומהבוקר ועד השעה 16:00 זה בחינם , שקט ממש המלון נקי

Réception, personnel très gentil coin bar aussi et salle à manger magnifique chambre aussi. Buffet excellent le matin.

Personnel au resto pas symptomatique du tout balcon équipement ordinaire et chaises piscine taché il manque un peu d’amour pour le prix payer sur certain e chose.

Så hyggelige ansatt og fine rom. Rommet vårt var ikke klart når vi kom, men bare 20 min forsinket. Da fikk vi en flaske prosecco på rommet med en fin beklagelse. I tillegg var det en ganske bra frokost med friskpresset appelsinjuice og godt med valg ellers.

The hotel was up on the hill behind the city center, but that offered fantastic views from our room. And the hotel offers a shuttle to the Sorrento city center as well. The staff at thw front desk was very friendly and very helpful, especially Serena. She was fantastic. I would highly recommend a room in the annex with a view!

The smell. Our room had a very pungent smell of sewage. The air conditioner was very insufficient.

L’hôtel explique offrir une connexion une wifi qui en réalité n’en est pas une je n’ai jamais dépassé les deux barres de réseaux . J’en ai pas eu du tout Á certains moments . Au vu du prix pour une nuit et pour un hotel qui se prétends qu’âtres étoiles c’est le minimum !

Clean, good pool, good food,helpful staff.

Too quiet for us, pool opened too late & closed too early for us. Shuttle bus timings were not regular enough.

Breakfasts. Food was not great.

Property had a great location, near the bus stop straight to Sorrento. Pool was nice and plenty of space for a sunbed.

Some areas needed some attention, like fresh paint etc. Giant crack in our room mirror and glass seemed flimsy, so you had a warped view of yourself. Felt like it didn’t have a true authentic feel but perhaps my fault as I booked last minute and didn’t really know what I was booking. Felt like I was in a complex rather than abroad enjoying the country. Breakfast was probably the worst experience of all for us. Not really wanting to see a full English abroad, coffee in the main breakfast area was undrinkable (from a machine), pastries were poorly labelled so you didn’t know what you were getting inside, and in the end we decided to not have breakfast there for the rest of our stay.

Magari la palestra all'aperto potrebbe avere degli orari più ampi, visto che è aperta solo dalle 10 alle 18 e d'estate è impossibile allenarsi in queste ore

Posizione dell'albergo ottima dal punto di vista del panorama, Stanze ampie e pulite. Ben curata la piscina. Colazione ottima, gentilissimo il personale.

Per quanto la posizione sia ottima da un punto di vista del paronama (dal balcone si vede tutto il golfo, Vesuvio compreso) è penalizzante la distanza dal centro di Sorrento. Mancano i marciapiedi per diverse centinaia di metri e non si può andare a piedi. La fermata del pullman è davanti all'albergo: pullman sempre pieno, difficile potervi salire. Va detto che c'è un sistema "navetta" dell'albergo: assolutamente insufficiente sia per gli orari che per i posti disponibili. Abbiamo preferito noleggiare un auto! Va migliorata la connessione internet

It had great views of Mt Vesuvius from the balcony

We were disappointed with the level of service and overall maintenance during our stay. The front desk staff were unhelpful when we asked for assistance arranging a transfer, simply directing us to the public bus on two separate occasions. On one evening, I arrived back late and was left knocking at the locked front door for 20 minutes before anyone responded. To make matters worse, we got stuck in one of the lifts, which are noticeably dated and in need of maintenance. Overall, the experience fell well short of expectations

La posizione è buona. Collegata al centro storico da autobus di linea e navetta gratuita, l'hotel è situato in una zona tranquilla e silenziosa. Il parcheggio è gratuito. La colazione eccellente, crepes pancakes e omelette preparate al momento con cucina a vista, top! Area piscine molto rilassante. Lo staff gentile premuroso e molto preparato per fornire informazioni. Lo consigliamo e sicuramente ci torneremo!

Room cleaning one of the worst. Our bedding had blood on from mosquito bites and the cleaners just turned it over! Shower slippy and bathroom floor for those infirm. I nearly slipped. They do minimal cleaning. The pool has steps which are not warned about inside the pool halfway., be careful. Big chunks missing from the edging which is sharp and bare wires exposed. Full of bits of masonry inside on the bottom. Towels not available after 3:30 No instructions in the room about using the phone, check out times etc. nothing at all. Busy road and no safe walking path to leave hotel. Too far away from the town as there is nowhere to go near hotel. WiFi terrible… can’t watch BBC news as it’s off and on buffering constantly so doesn’t work well on devices at all and just sits there spinning. There’s some much better hotels in Sorrento itself. This one is just hanging on with the basic maintenance. Evening meals?? We were served spinach every night for 6 nights as the main vegetable and it was horrible. It was a budget hotel, ok if you are not wanting any frills

Habitaciones muy amplias con terraza, la zona de piscina y jardín con jacuzzis estupendos y, aunque no está en el centro, el servicio de transporte del hotel tiene bastante frecuencia y te acerca en poco más de 5 minutos. Además, tienes línea de bus a escasos metros de la puerta del hotel. Y tienen acuerdo con un beach club maravilloso, no dejéis de ir, casi lo mejor del viaje.

Convendría renovar colchones y almohadas, no son nada confortables. El café pésimo, impropio de un hotel así, aunque el desayuno era bastante variado. Lo mejor del desayuno es la señora que te hace tortillas, huevos, tortitas y creps.

La struttura ha un grande potenziale, la zona piscina e jacuzzi sono molto belle. Ha un parcheggio scoperto e le camere molto grandi

La pulizia dell’hotel lasciava a desiderare, sopratutto il bagno si vede che c’è una pulizia grossolana o quasi inesistente, i rubinetti molto rovinati e il porta shampoo della doccia era rotto e rovinato. Sono tutti piccoli dettagli che non dovrebbero essere trascurati in un hotel a 4 stelle.

Il cibo della cena del 18/08/2026 assurdo…credo sia gravissimo per un hotel di questa portata permettere allo staff che lavora in cucina di infangare e rovinare il lavoro fatto da tutto il resto dello staff….perche se esce un piato immangiabile dalle porte di quella cucina si rovina tutto il lavoro fatto dai colleghi in precedenza ….per un cliente come me che alle 23:00 è dovuto uscire dall hotel per andare a mangiare altrove è stata una scocciatura …tanto che le sere a seguire non ci ho provato nemmeno a mangiare di nuovo lì…

Stayed here for 5 days, there is no chance this hotel is 4 star. The room was clean but basic. The balcony had a wasps nest in so couldn’t use the balcony. Asked for a double room and got a twin, the food is not the best but was okay. The bar is expensive and you pay at the end of stay. The hotel is far out of the town and you need the shuttle to get around. Would visit the area again but definitely not this hotel.

The room dimensions were very good. We had enough space for everything and the balcony very nice and spacious. The omlete made by the chef in the morning is very good! We also liked the fact that we had the shuttle bus to take us to the city center, even though the schedule is strict and not too often.

The room had mold in some parts of the wall. One of the shower heads was broken. The seif did not work. The room was not really cleaned on the floor very good.

The only plus for this hotel was it was in Sorrento and the room we were promised had ocean views of the Gulf Naples and Mt Vesuvius. The breakfast buffet was lovely. Serena at the front desk as well as Nino were lovely and helpful. The other staff were uninterested and at times rude.

We booked the best room in the hotel. The bathroom had a sewerage problem that smelt the entire time. The air conditioner could function well enough to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. The mattress was as old as the hotel and extremely uncomfortable. The pillows were not much better. When we asked for a fan we were advised there was no fans. This was a special stay on our holiday as my partner asked me to marry him on the Amalfi coast on a boat. Having to come back to a very uncomfortable room stole a bit of the high we should have been able to enjoy more

Abbiamo avuto la camera della dépendance ultimo piano. La camera era bellissima e con ampio terrazzo con panorama del golfo. La doccia aveva delle mini luci che sembravano stelle. Eccellente la colazione. Si può pranzare in piscina e per cena scegliete il buffet o á la carte. La sera si può ascoltare musica al bar. Personale attento e cordiale. Tutto perfetto. Ci torneremo sicuramente!

The room we had needs a refresh, especially the bathroom, one of the shower heads was broken, mould on ceiling, broken extractor fan, marks on shower base, some of towels given to us were ripped, mattress was hard, and pillows too flat

The location of this hotel was perfect for us, a short 10 minute bus into the heart of Sorrento. The hotel shuttle was brilliant and if that wasn’t available the public transport stopped right outside the hotel and this was also very reliable. The hotel was clean with house keeping and fresh towels daily. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly.

The beds were hard so not the most comfortable. The pool area could’ve been kept better.

Very large hotel, amazing space with incredible views. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were brilliant.

The walls are definitely not soundproof, we could hear the neighbour in the room next door snoring !!! Drinks were a little expensive, mainly the soft drinks, especially when you can’t drink the water.

The room was very nice had a large balcony.Cleaning was not up to standard.Toilet roll holder was never clean found bits on floor. Never enough toilet rolls had to ask at reception The dining room and evening meal room was lovely the staff were very friendly and manager and the lady who made wonderful omelettes was lovely.The food was excellent. I found hotel was find love it. I think restaurant staff made my holiday special.They should have a better store room for suite cases.The entertainment was disappointing should have been a bit more up beat .I loved my holiday it was a wonderful place to stay.

Het personeel en met name Alberto! Hij gaf ons echt een warm welkom en knoopte gesprekken aan. Super aardige kerel! Daarnaast de dame die in de week van 20-24 juli in de ochtend bij het ontbijt de eieren bakte. Ook zij was echt een heel fijn mens! Daarnaast was het zwembad fijn en de Lemon Garden zag er heerlijk uit.

Een paar dingen aan onze kamer, nummer 320. 1. De wc kon niet doorspoelen met de kleine spoelfunctie. Die is kapot. 2. De handpomp zeepjes waren kapot. 3. Na het schoonmaken van de kamer is er niet gestofzuigd, nog veel zand en grind op de grind. 4. De airco werkte niet of bijna niet. Ging steeds automatisch uit en koelde amper. Dit was erg irritant.

Det var et veldig fint og idyllisk. Fint basseng og område. Busstilbudet ned til byen var veldig bra!

Jeg hadde sett frem til å trene på morgenen, men treningsrommet hadde bare åpningstid fra 10-18. Det var også ute, så midt på dagen var det veldig varmt. Bassenget hadde også åpningstid fra 10-18, og vi skulle gjerne ønsket at man kunne bade senere på kvelden når man kom hjem fra utflukter.

Wow wow wow!!! This is an hotel not to be missed. We decided to return to Sorrento as we wanted to visit Capri. Our experience in September 2025 was awful and we were reluctant to return. This hotel allayed all our fears and we had the most amazing 7 days in the sunshine. The staff definitely make your stay memorable. We are mentioning our favourites but all the staff are outstanding.. so thank you. Guiseppe on Reception is so approachable and I am sure I tired him out with all my questions. Natalino at the pool bar and the Restaurant is amazing and we love him. Alex (Fiorellino - little flower) we love and miss you so much. Tony worked tirelessly breakfast and dinner Nicole and I know is have spelled this wrong but she will know. Before arriving we saw complaints about the food...why we will never understand. But you can't please everyone all the time. The choices for the evening meal were fabulous and I am fussy but always found something delicious. Finally, our wonderful shuttle driver, Eustacio. How would we have managed our trip into Sorrento with out you. So prompt and pleasant. We wish all drivers were as excellent. We cannot thank you enough for our amazing stay and we really would love to return. We have recommended to all our friends and family.

Fantastisk værelse, vi havde nr 530 i Anneks med kæmpe altan & udsigt til Vesuv. Utroligt sødt personale. Fantastisk morgenmad. Mulighed for gratis shuttle det meste af dagen til Sorrento by eller man kan gå. Aften timerne koster 2 euro pr person. Besøger gerne igen.

Pool kun åben 10-18. Morgen og aften dyp havde været skønt at kunne. En af medarbejderne i pool området spillede meget høj musik og var svær at få til at skrue ned.

The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Free shuttle bus and if you missed that there local bus stops outside Staff so accommodation to requests eg early check in and late check out. Great cocktails 🍸

Totally agree with previous review but the hot tubs are now operating! We had a wonderful 10 day stay hereh. Used the shuttle bus often. Also popped into the opposite camp site to get refreshments from the shop there. Room lovely and cool. Great holiday

Only booked this property as it was last minute and kind of the only hotel that looked kinda decent and not old fashioned and also under a 1000 for the 4 days, the room was okay for the price point and the staff were lovely and helpful booking taxis etc.

The shuttle bus service isn’t every half an hour like they say so if you arrive after 12 you have to wait till 3pm to get into town as it’s unwalkable. The walk down was one of the most dangerous things I’ve ever done, there is no paths only road with blind bends and cars flying round the corners at 40-50 mph. We did it once and instead paid for taxis after the fact which was 30 euros each way into town or waited for the shuttle bus (evening had convenient times). The bus its self was broken the aircon didn’t work, Infact hot air came into the vehicle from the bottom vents. It was 34 degrees outside:) I thought I had maybe died and been sent to hell getting on that bus but we had no choice. The deck chairs round the pool were mouldy , the bed was solid as a brick , the mini bar wasn’t topped up everyday , the breakfast - horrifying but it didn’t bother me coz I don’t go to hotels for food but thought others should know. We did however eat in the lemon garden one night as the World Cup was on and we didn’t want to miss it , we had a late day getting back from positano and just reluctantly stayed at the hotel for the evening , the food there was so so so bad. I’ve had better pasta from a hospital cafe. Non of this is a reflection on the staff they were all so lovely and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you but this hotel is not 4 star I’d say more 2 star…. but you get what you pay for and with it being only 750 for 4 nights it’s probably value for money just very dangerous and inconvenient location , but like I say it was last minute booking with limited options in the area so we only have our selves to blame. If you have other options and spare time to check other hotels out don’t stay at this one :/

Ofrecen un shuttle que tiene un horario específico , es un poco limitado, y para el regreso en la noche tiene un cobro por persona en los horarios, El hotel es a 3 kms aprox. Del centro y el costo de los taxis son alrededor de 30 euros por trayecto.

Het stonk wat in de kamer. De wifi was zeer slecht en je had geen bereik. Bij het ontbijt waren de broodjes steenhard. In de badkamer was het hout rot dus hadden we een mierenplaag.

We stayed here half board for 11 nights. Lots of good things about this hotel and just a few bits that let it down. I would say it is a 3.5 star hotel as opposed to a 4 star hotel because of the few bits I will mention. Location - it is a bit out of the centre of Sorrento, some people do walk along the road but the shuttle service is included and runs 5 or 6 times a day. It is €2 after 8pm and we found this a convenient way to get in and out of the town. If not the 008 bus runs every 20 mins ish and the pickup and drop off is outside the hotel. Rooms - we had a double room with balcony. Room was fine, a bit of wear and tear, double shower a nice touch and we had a table and chairs on the balcony. Aircon was also included. Food - for me the food was excellent. Breakfast is a buffet, but is the biggest selection I have ever seen with a made to order omelette and pancake/crepe station too. There is most bits of a cooked breakfast, cereal, yogurt, fruit, granola etc and a wide selection of pastries I’m not sure what more you could want from breakfast. Dinner is a cold buffet antipasti, and hot starter and main course chosen from the menu which usually has about 4/5 options a night. I’m a vegetarian and I did find some evenings the options weren’t as good (sometimes just an omelette for main course) but they were flexible and allowed me to choose sometimes two starters (such as a soup and then a pasta dish for my main) with the cold buffet option too I was well covered. Dessert was another help yourself and had ice cream too. Drinks aren’t included in half board as expected but the only thing I didn’t like was that you don’t pay for the drinks each night and therefore end up with a hefty bill at the end of your stay if you’re not careful! Entertainment - there were 3 nights of live music on the roof terrace which was great. Ended at around 10:30pm each time so not to disturb those not participating. The bar prices however are far too high with €14 for one cocktail. I think if this was lower they would do much better up there. The view from the roof is beautiful though and you can see Vesuvius. Staff - a mixed bag of staff. Many of them were friendly, welcoming and chatty others didn’t speak as much. We actually got engaged on the roof terrace and the barman helped my fiancé by bringing the ring over with our drinks making our stay extra special. The only slight disappointment around this was there was nothing complimentary such as a small glass of prosecco to celebrate our news. When I have stayed in 4 star establishments where others have gotten engaged around me I have seen complimentary drinks given and so I felt this a little disappointing. Reception helpful and will give you a bus timetable. Facilities - the pool area was pleasant. The pool itself did turn many of my swimsuits green though, but it was a nice pool otherwise. Unfortunately the jacuzzis in the garden are currently not working which was disappointing. We didn’t find the gym until our last day and this was basic but would’ve been nice to have been pointed out to us (it’s on the 3rd floor!) Overall we loved our time here and we would stay again, just a few bits that could easily be improved on that would make all the difference here. If you’ve booked here already, don’t be alarmed by some of the very negative reviews because we had a very pleasant stay here!

A few things to know about this hotel: Location is great! You can walk to the Queen’s Bath swimming hole, there is a market nearby that makes delicious sandwiches and other grab and go items. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel’s front door and it is easy to figure out the bus system to get to Piazza Tasso, the port, and shopping district. You are too far to walk to these locations if staying here. We prefer not staying on the central areas where noise can be an issue and we were pleased with this location. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pool area is very clean. Breakfast is complementary and offers many options. It is the same every day but there are many options to choose from including made to order omelets and crepes, freshly squeezed orange juice, and a wide array of pastries. We ate dinner in the Lemon Grove one evening and the buffet was quite good, especially the salmon and eggplant Parmesan. Maya Beach Experience admission was included and is a great way to spend a day. Here are my criticisms: We had many service issues including: * broken toilet seat * AC is tied to patio door closure. Ours never seemed to recognize that the sliding door was closed and locked and the AC would turn off. We had to call maintenance several times during our stay. When working, the AC was great, better than most. * Our kids’ room door did not lock - maintenance came up with a workaround but not a fix. *No hot water in showers one night of our stay Housekeeping was meh - i dont think floor was swept while we were there. Some things were either not included in website information or did not appear as advertised: *Water is NOT POTABLE *Hotel shuttle requires reservation and is not free at certain times of the day *Hotel shuttle requires reservations and is not free at certain hours * Hot tubs are not functioning and are in bad state of disrepair *Gym facilities are badly outdated and not usable *Pool hours are far too restrictive. Closes at 6pm. Towel service unreliable. At the beginning of our stay, I was very unhappy that things were not accurately or transparently portrayed on the hotel’s website. If you care about aesthetics, you will be disappointed here. There are areas of the property that seem neglected: crumbling plaster, piles of equipment or items that should be stored out of sight, planters with dead plants, etc. Other areas look quite nice. The staff keeps this review from being 2 stars. They are patient, attentive, responsive, and helpful. By the end of our stay, I had made peace with the shortcomings of the property and appreciated its location. Most days we were rarely at the hotel. We appreciated coming back to fresh towels, a made bed, working AC, and this property felt very safe at all times.

We have just spent 14 days at Atlantic Palace, no palace what a disappointment, 4*, no chance we stayed half board food very very poor especially evening meal, all food over cooked pasta was a joke,rooms cleaned to a basic standard, gym was basic, dirty & broken equipment, pool side music too loud did complain no result, please avoid Atlantic Palace.

Underbart läge nära Sorrento centrum. Går buss precis utanför som åker ner till centrum på 5 minuter. Skönt att hotellet har egen parkering.

Väldigt lyhört. Vi blev väckta vid 7-7:30 varje morgon av städvagnen och personal som talade högt med varandra precis utanför rummet. Fick sova med airpods om man ville sova längre än så, vilket man ofta vill i Italien då kvällarna är lite längre. En annan underlig sak var poolen på hotellet. Alla våra badkläder blev helt gröna. Misstänker att de kanske använt för mycket eller för lite klor i vattnet.

Rent, fräscht, väl underhållet. Restaurangen Lemongarden, där vi intog lunch och beställde pizza direkt från vedeldad pizzaugn i trädgården, fantastiskt.

Maten var sådär, vi tog buffe en kväll, men det var i stort sett bara grönsaker, så det var en besvikelse. Det bästa med frukosten var att man kunde få färskpressad apelsinjuice. På den otroligt vackra takterrassen var inte baren öppen, (25-28/5) det var tråkigt då vi gärna hade suttit där på kvällarna och njutit av utsikten. Kanske för att det inte var högsäsong? Lite otippat att shuttlebussen inte hämtade oss i hamnen utan vi fick ta oss till ett annat hotell först och där bli upphämtade, men det funkade ändå.

Emplacement exceptionnel avec vue sur le Vésuve dans certaines chambres et de la terrasse du bar. Piscine et Lemon Garden magique où le diner était servi pendant notre séjour. Chambre propre et très confortable, belle salle de bains. En dehors de Sorrente et au calme. Très bon petit déjeuner, très copieux.

Personnel globalement bien mais inégal et pas toujours chaleureux. Tout petit parking, attention. Navette mises à disposition par l'hôtel pour le centre ville de Sorrente, mais à certaines heures seulement et payante le soir. La piscine ferme à 18h, quand on revient d'une grande journée de ballade c'est un peu tôt.

Lovely area hotel clean and as expected. Staff are excellent very helpful and friendly. Special mention to Tony cappuccino. Made the best coffee every morning and always ready with the black pepper for dinner.

Staff were totally disinterested. They tried to pass someone else’s restaurant bill onto our group twice.

Had a lovely stay at the hotel at the beginning of June. The staff were outstanding the the food brilliant with a wide selection for both breakfast end evening meals. A couple of times a week we had dinner in the garden areas that was beautiful at night. The hotel is a bit of a walk to the town centre and not for the fait hearted. With no pavement in part of the route. There is a courtesy bus available , but would have liked it to run more often. There is a lovely bar on the roof roof with views of Mount Vesuvius.
