We fell in love Campsbay Retreat hotel! We recommend the hotel to all our friends. The reception we received was exceptional. The hot tub forest message was the best!!! The on the house tea and scones between 4-5pm every day

This place is incredible, from the views and tranquility, to the pristine gardens and access to the lovely small beach.

It’s not a major issue at all but the fact that there was no real indoor seating in the room, at a table, was a tiny bit unfortunate. There was only a ledge in the wall next to the small table but that was quite uncomfortable.

Great views and beautiful grounds, walkway to the beach. Welcome drink was a great touch.

We booked half board through Booking and there was a lot of confusion, both at check in and check out. This left us a bit embarrassed having to bring it up multiple times.

The room was clean and tidy with all the necessary items available.

I did not like that the main doors to the room faved directly into the paddle court and side of the main hotel. The photos had hinted at a more private location. The views were nice but very narrow. It would have been nice if the wood fire hot tub was pre lit. I realise I could have specifically requested this, but as I specifically rent a room which had one I would have thought it would be obvious we would like to use it.

It felt like I was entering my own home. Foxy the hotel dog was very pleasant and we played with her the whole time. The managers especially Damien and Sibo were very welcoming. The garden tour by Brendan is a must, and we enjoyed the cheese and fruits harvested in the garden. The waterfall and seatings with swings were magnificent.

Great!!! Hotel. location is a perfect blend of mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. The staff are very friendly and accommodating combined with service. The Spa is a must!!

From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The property is absolutely stunning, with beautiful gardens, peaceful walking trails, and an excellent location close to the ocean. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Every member of the staff was warm, professional, and always happy to help. Housekeeping was excellent, and breakfast offered a great variety of fresh, delicious food. A special thank you to Chef Slater Rasool, who prepared one of the best meals we had during our trip. The lamb shank, cauliflower soup, and risotto were all exceptional. His talent, kindness, and hospitality made our stay even more memorable.

We had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

pas de liseuse à la tête du lit, impossibilité de faire l'obscurité dans la chambre, la nuit, pas de rideaux d'occultation mais une dizaine de persiennes qui laissent passer la lumiere exterieure en permanence sur les façades; ce qui est regrettable pour un établissement de ce standing.j'ai du dormir avec un masque sur les yeux.

Very very nice hotel or retreat I should say. Location is one of the best in Capetown. Very nice rooms, I have tried two types. The spa is an exceptional experience.

We loved our stay here. The grounds were fantastically large and pleasurable for our lively 7 year old - this is very hard to find in central CT and the Atlantic Seaboard. We loved the hanging bridge over the ravine. The gardens have a gate onto the main Camps Bay drag and the restaurants are walking distance. The room was spacious and the wood-fired hot tub was good fun. The kitchen of Bella Restaurant makes lovely fresh tasty food, and it was convenient to have in-house dining, especially with a young child. The room was warm and comfortable; the main building is a beauty from the 1920s or 30s. It is not a perfect generic experience, as you may find in some big branded hotel. It is characterful and enjoyable and peaceful and very unusual for a central CT location. The service, albeit friendly, is occasionally not as efficient as it could be but the warm welcome makes up for that. Our go-to in CT in future. (They even had a charger on the grounds for our electric vehicle!)

Die Lage des Hotels, der Blick auf das Meer vor Camps Bay und die Atmosphäre des Hotels sind aus unserer Sicht nich zu schlagen. Hier kann man außerordentlich niveauvoll wohnen. Wir waren jetzt schon zum vierten Mal im Camps Bay Retreat und sind immer nochmal begeistert. Man hat den Eindruck dass nochmals eine Steigerung zu früher erfolgt ist. Hier gibt es wirklich nichts zu beanstanden.

The main building is an interesting historical building that has been well-maintained with lairs of character. The rest of the facility is modern, so you get the best of both.

It was far from the downtown waterfront area. About a 20min drive (but uber is easily accessible).

I loved everything about camps bay retreat hotel. The minute we arrived we were warmly greeted and handed a welcome drink. The staff were really attentive and made our stay feel very special. The Manor House is lovely with stunning views from the terrace overlooking the gardens and the sea. You instantly feel calm and relaxed. The food was also really lovely and again the service was superb. We had a three bedroom apartment which was lovely a clean with our own hot tub and patio overlooking the sea. The layout of the hotel is really characterful with a drawbridge and walks down to the natural pool. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation and have been recommending it to lots of people since. The padel court was a brilliant bonus for our 14 and 9 year old. We have stayed in lots of places worldwide and the team here have really created something very unique and special.

Forest Spa massage is a waste of money. Massages were poor, in a badly heated tent. Hot tub not warm so we were moved to one that was then too hot. Wood fired hot tubs sounds great but does not work in practice - after 3 hours the one in our villa was also still not warm enough to use.

Excellent location - easy to walk into Camps Bay - but honestly the hotel grounds are so stunning it was hard to leave. Loved the swing bridge across the ravine, with views down to the ocean. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast on the porch was lovely.

The location is second to none, perfect for a stroll into Camp's Bay, picturesque grounds, great views. The breakfast and service was very good.

Unfortunately, the whole property is not well maintained.

Cozy vibes and perfect location as we kept warm from the major storm

Make sure you don't stay close to the road, its very noisy. Die views are great but overall value for money is not great. I like the open spaces of the property, but the room setup within the villas wasn't clear to me before we arrived. Staff very friendly, property very clean and tidy and location fantastic.

اجمل فندق سكنته هدوء ومنطقة واقيه وامنه والنزلاء كذلك، الصور لاتوفيه حقه ، الإطلالات تاخذ العقل جبال وشواطئ، اخذت غرفة الطبيعة رقم 12 ، اجمل اطلالة ممكن تشوفها يمينك سلسلة الجبال المحيطة بكامبس باي والغيوم تغطيها وامامك جبل رأس الاسد ويسارك شاطئ وغروب . مبنى الاستقبال جميل وانتيك وخشبي يوجد به مدفأه ومكتبه وافطار لذيذ الفندق محيط بالطبيعة والاشجار وجسر خشبي جميل يربط بين مبنى الاستقبال واللوبي والافطار وبين الغرف الطاقم متعاون وودود ولطيف ، كذلك يوجد ملعب بادل دايم مشغول وسبا راقي . انصح فيه للكبلز والناس الهاديه، المنتجع جدا رايق .

Wir hatten im korrekten Englisch ein Lunchpaket für morgens 5 Uhr gebucht.Leider war es nirgends und angeblich sollte der Securityman bescheid wissen Aber leider nichts.

The property was fantastic and spacious with our cabin with hot tub on the deck overlooking the sea. Lunch and dinner were great, the people were welcoming and helpful and it was a great location to either dip down to camps bay front or head into central cape down. we also really enjoyed the pools where we were able to relax under the mountains

The property in the middle of the city leads us to feel welcomed and with a feeling as if we were out of town and by the sea. Spectacular in its shape and arrangement of the villages. The reception was impeccable

Being for a very short period of time

We loved the location and setting of this hotel. Beautiful scenery and the spacious gardens were very welcome after busy days exploring Cape Town! The gardens were peaceful and the pools perfect for cooling down in. The proximity to the beach was great too. Views from the patio at breakfast were unbeatable and we saw both dolphins and whales on two mornings! The staff were extremely attentive and welcoming. We loved our stay and would come back again!

This is as the name suggests a lovely retreat, an east stroll from the main Camps Bay strip. It’s a bit of a splurge but at the hotel food, drink and services are very reasonable and it’s definitely recommended.

Beautiful location, peaceful but within a 10 minute walk of the beach front with some lovely restaurants. Staff are very helpful and friendly and the rooms are spacious . 10 minutes taxi to table mountain and 20 to the V and A waterfront in Cape Town

This is an incredibly beautiful and well-maintained property with breathtaking views! There was always someone working in the vegetable garden or the other gardens and the walking trails are so unique and special that you could really spend a whole day just exploring the hotel itself. The terrace overlooking the sea and the sunset is perfect for spending the evening. The breakfast at the hotel was delicious, and the restaurant in general is amazing! All the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed using the two swimming pools and a very special mountain pool. The welcome massage was very relaxing and was accompanied by a fruit plate and tea – a very nice touch. This part of the city is very safe, and you can also enjoy Camps Bay Tidal Pool (a 10-minute walk from the hotel), which is great for swimming and has a playground next to it—ideal if you're traveling with children.

Le prix du taxî pour l’aéroport était exorbitant ! J’ai payé 500 zar pour venir (en van) et l’hôtel m’a pris 1400 zar !!! Je pense que c’est du vol et que cet hôtel en profite parce que nous sommes des touristes

Great location, the views are great and there’s lots of different areas to explore. The staff were friendly and tried to help as much as possible.

I booked the best suite as a celebration for our recent engagement, however the week before was told that suite was no longer available and reduced to a smaller one. They offered massages and some sparkling wine as an acknowledgment but it wasn’t made clear there would be a reimbursement until I asked for it. I’m still waiting for that reimbursement to be organised a few weeks later.

Friendly, attentive staff. A lovely breakfast and restaurant. Brilliant location and super convenient access to Camps Bay. Very calm setting and extensive grounds, with lovely views. Lovely toiletries - I bought several to bring home.

Several flights of stairs to take the pram up and down. Something to consider for anyone with accessibility issues. Unfortunately the Padel court was booked up for our 3 night stay, except one slot in middle of the day. Staff did all they could to ensure we had a slot, but just a note that unless booked early, you may not be able to play with ease.

Eine sensationelles Hideaway inmitten von Capetown - anders als jedes andere 5 Star Hotel - ein herrliches Manor House und eine riesige Parkanlage mit Hängebrücke und fantastischen Blick auf den Strand von Camps bay, die 12 Apostel und den Lions head. Kurzer Fußweg zum Strand - 10 min Uber zur V&A Waterfront - direkt am Signal hill und der Cablecar zum Table Mountain. Perfekte Villen in allen Größen mit schönen Terrassen - unsere hatte einen Hot Tub auf der Terrasse. Frühstück klasse - Hotel Dinner mit super Steaks für kleines Geld! Super freundliches Personal - ein bisschen ein Geheimtipp - aber bald dann nicht mehr...

Ужасный запах в корпусе отеля, куда нас поселили из-за ароматизаторов. От запаха аллергия и кашель. Дали ключи от номера - они не подходят. Попросили поменять номер - нам отказали. Возможно, фотография на букинге не достаточно отражает площадь номера, но нам такого номера было мало. До набережной достаточно далеко. Вообщем, пришлосььзабронировать другой отель и переехать туда. Возможно, кому-то повезет лучше с номером . Рекомендую, если вы ещё не забронировали этот отель, то хорошо изучите вме условия и что есть вокруг.

It was surrounded by beautiful gardens, the service from the staff was fantastic, the breakfast was delicious, the security at the property was excellent .

De locatie is geweldig, het eten is meer dan oké, en het uitzicht overtreft alles.

The location and views from the hotel were fantastic. The set up of the room and staff support were excellent. There are multiple pools, comfortable beds and great views from balconies. The spa and gardens are also great to explore. I didn’t get to experience their sister hotels but those also seem highly convenient to see a different part of camps bay or western cape.

Location of breakfast beautiful and quality of food excellent. Rooms very comfortable, views great. Natural pool - a little too natural. Outstanding grounds.

Service chaotic, no communications between staff. Manager completely out of touch with the reality of what really goes on and needs to get a hold on staff to listen and act as promised. Didn't appreciate dog poo on lounge floor.

Loved the decor and modern style of the rooms. Every room was immaculate. Really liked the layout with kitchens and chill out areas for guests. The views from every room were stunning.. Breakfast had a wide variety and staff were friendly and attentive. Also, child friendly. Highly recommend.
