I like this hotel very much. The bath room is great that I can have either bath tub or down pouring head. It made me very comfortable. The location is close to popular visiting area, come with a high-end dining and office around.

Number and type of shops around the area is limited

The Shangri-La name generally guarantees a nice stay and superb service in a premium hotel.

As a frequent aveler, I have stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel in Fuzhou, and it has left a deep impression on me. Location and Surroundings The hotel enjoys a prime location in the heart of Fuzhou, close to Wuyi Square, with convenient transportation and easy access to various attractions. For a traveler like me who loves to explore the city, this is a great advantage. Moreover, there are several vegetarian restaurants near the hotel. As a vegetarian, I was very delighted. Among them, the Zhilvqing Vegetarian Restaurant is just a short distance from the hotel, offering a variety of delicious vegetarian options, allowing me to enjoy a healthy diet during my journey. Hotel Facilities and Service The facilities and service at the Shangri-La Hotel in Fuzhou are excellent. The lobby of the hotel is spacious and bright, with luxurious decoration, giving a feeling of comfort and elegance. The guest rooms are clean and tidy, with comfortable beds and complete facilities, able to meet the various needs of guests. The hotel staff is enthusiastic and provides attentive service, always able to promptly solve guests' problems and requests. Alumni Gathering As a doctoral graduate of UQ, I also held an alumni gathering at the hotel. The hotel's conference rooms and banquet halls are fully equipped and can meet the needs of gatherings of various scales. The hotel staff also provided professional services to ensure the smooth progress of the gathering. My alumni were very satisfied

Wonderful Experience at Fuzhou Shangri - La Hotel I have to share my amazing stay experience at Fuzhou Shangri - La Hotel. 1.Room Experience When I checked in, the hotel gave me a huge surprise by upgrading my room to a suite for free. As soon as I entered the room, the luxurious furniture caught my eye. The vintage style really appealed to me. The layout of the suite was excellent, especially the design with floor - to - ceiling windows on three sides, which allowed me to have a panoramic view of the White Pagoda and Wuyi Square. The view was extremely wide - open. It was very pleasant whether enjoying the prosperity of the city during the day or the night view. 2.Gym Facilities The gym in the hotel also left a deep impression on me. The equipment inside was very complete, and the environment was clean and tidy. Working out here was a real pleasure. Whether it was the quality of the fitness equipment or the overall space layout, it could be seen that the hotel had put a lot of effort into it. For travelers like me who like to exercise, it was really great. 3.Service Level The service here was truly impeccable. Starting from the check - in process at the front desk, the staff were very enthusiastic and thoughtful, patiently answering all my questions. The doorman was also very attentive, actively helping with luggage and guiding me to my room, making me feel right at home.

It’s been a great few days. Great room, staffs services were excellent.

A development integrates a hotel, a business centre, and a mini shopping centre. Transport links are within 10 minutes walking distance. Many sightseeing spots are within 20 minutes walking distance. Staffs are friendly and nice. Some facilities could be upgraded, though.

Very nice

I was a rather frequent guest at this location before the covid pandemics. Upon return this time, I found the place drastically changed. The most striking thing is the greatly reduced space usable by the guest. The previous cafeteria is complete gone, presumable converted to some commercial thing. The vast tea/coffee/bar lounge is now converted to a dining place from early morning all to the evening. Hence, if you have a visitor, it may be a challenge for you to find an adequate place to sit down with them. With great effort, I still failed to find the gym, which used to be a very large place and full of exercise equipment. My search for the gym led me through a maze of staircases going nowhere. Afraid of being locked inside somewhere inadvertently I gave up. I venture to guess that in order to recoup the cost of maintenance, the management has been forced to convert very significant footage into venues rent out to merchants. Hard to blame them, but the experience suffers.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in central downtown and walkable to many local attractions.

Area was very convenient, but property uncleanness

This place is fantastic! From the time we arrived to check out the staff at every point were friendly and extremely helpful. The general manager Eric greeted us each day in the breakfast lounge and offered recommendations. Would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Fuzhou.

Nice hotel, a tad dated and had a fair amount of construction in the front 🚧 but overall a good deal for the price.

older 5 star hotel that could use a bit of a refresh

The room is good but food is not good and not valuable so don’t include with your stay.

We check in very late, and got the room upgraded which we weren’t expecting! Check-in was quick. We were very satisfied with the cleanness and the location of the hotel. Some area of the hotel is still undergoing renovations which we couldn’t park the car near the hotel otherwise everything is perfect.

I really took a good night sleep. And thanks for the late check out until 2pm which is really helpful due to my con-call from 12:30-1:30pm on the day I left the hotel.

Elegant and Grand Lobby, Nice Receptionist, Good Breakfast, Comfortable and Spacious Room, Clean Washroom. No indoor parking is not as expected.

Efficient and friendly staff. Ideal location - walking distance to many attractions, such as Yushan Scenic Area and 3 Lanes and 7 Alleys. Combining the Manager's welcome message and observing their general tidiness & cleanliness, I can tell they are trying. Hope that reupholstering or replacing their (in-room) couch is high up on their priority list. I was delighted that they have electrical outlets that accept US plugs without the aid of an adapter (although I have brought along my own just in case). We have thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at Shangri-La.

The hotel is old and it’s time for refurbishment. The furniture is old. Staff service is good and location is good.

Awesome service; staff ensured to change my mum's room which reeked of smoke initially. Room was changed when we returned after dinner with complimentary desserts for all of our 3 rooms. Bed was very comfortable. Location convenient; 10 min from subway, some food options & convenience store. Best part of the hotel had to be the impeccable service from the first to the last day, from concierge to bell boy & cleaning staff.

Better than my expectation. It's an old building in Fuzhou but interior still in a decent condition. It's still the best hotel in city centre of FZ. Recommended!

Good clean environment and staff at counter respond well when asked. Help at concierge was prompt and reliable . Mr Allan Cao provided good service. Mr Ben Xue also helped to find the precise address of a church we wanted to go to and talked to the taxi drjiver to ensure he knows where we wanted to go. Good experience overall. But staff in restaurant and room service lacked the warmth, eq and accessibility expected from staff working in the hospitality sector.

Friendly staff with special mentioning of the Ez Cafe manager Ms. Candy Wang whose warm hospitality makes me feel at home during the stay

when I came to china every year I choose this hotel, but this year I feel so disappointed they give room is very very old and small and the room number is terrible I was ask for change they said only two left I will no come back to this hotel anymore good luck

Nice hotel but English is limited as mostly Chinese patrons.

Staff not professional enough. Made mistakes with the deposit and had to come 5 times to eventually solve their mistake. Breakfast is not very good for this type of hotel.

Me and my family stayed at Shangri-La because it is a trustworthy company. It well met our standards and even exceeded many. The room was a bit small but other than that everything and great. It was an excellent four day stay. It was an amazing trip and a big part of it is because we slept comfortably.

This hotel was lovely and all. But the room just felt old and a little small compared to others I had been to on my 4 week trip through China. The Staff were amazing and willing to do anything for you, the Pianist was just superb down in the bar/entrance, the location was very central.

Seems like one of the older version of Shangri La, but staff was nice and friendly. Very good idea with the special cousine week. Food was pretty good for Europeans.

A nice property, well maintained. The room I had was comfortable and clean. Unfortunately the desk staff is poorly trained, and not very helpful -- and sometimes straight out unhelpful. When I asked about arranging for a cab to the airport, one staff member tried to up-sell me on a limo service to the airport, which would have been twice the cost of a taxi. Subsequently another suggested I should leave for the airport four hours before my flight, apparently because holding a suitcase for me would require a minute or two of their attention. Service in the in the main restaurant is terrible, and it is very expensive. Certainly not what I would expect from a luxury hotel chain. I speak some Mandarin, which enabled me to get by, but this isn't a good hotel for someone without any chinese language ability. While the location is very central, there is a lot of construction going on in the vicinity (they are building a subway), and it is quite difficult to walk in the area.

Nothing special, mostly good service at check in, restaurant etc. just some check out issues, due to one staff in reception, did not know how to do his job... :-(

The hotel is 11 years old but it still well maintained. The staff is nice and helpful. It is a walking distance to local restaurants and shops. Also walking distance for several local attractions.

This was my 7th or 8th stay at the Shangri La Fuzhou. The facilities are great, but the bed is hard and the buffet breakfast was expensive and lacked quality.

The reception a bit off .general service seems to lack attention towards a guests need for a five stal rated Hotel.

The hotel is tired and needs a major update. A prime example was the toilet which had a replacement seat/lid on it which had stains and was so old and discolored that that it looked yellow on the white toilet porcelain The front desk was more interested in shilling for recognition awards than servicing the customers

Decent value

Excellent. Except when you are in the executive lounge, they will make you pay for the drinks for your guests. I have stayed with many other hotels on the executive floor and used the business lounge to have meetings with my clients. This is the only one that asks you to pay for guests' drinks.

I'm always a fan of Shangri-La hotels. As usual the rooms and service were great at the Shangri-La Fuzhou. I did notice that communal areas were smokier than my last visit which makes me think they didn't have the air circulating as high as they usually do. I would stay here again.

The Shangri-La Hotel in Fuzhou is exceptional, from its service to room accommodations to fine dining. By far, it is the best choice for luxury hotel in Fuzhou.

Plenty of great hotels in China, but not this one. Big, tired, needs updating......

This was my second visit at this hotel in the past 9 months. It was just as nice and its condition was just at good. It has great amenities.

NICE HOTEL, EVERYONE SPEAKS ENGLISH AND THEY HAVE A GREAT STAFF. ROOMS MIGHT BE A LITTLE TOO OLD.

We stayed 3 nights here in October 2013. We had previously stayed here back in 2009. The hotel is now starting to get a little dated. Our room was showing signs of wear and tear which you shouldn't get with a 5 star hotel at this price point. There was a puddle of water constantly under our bathroom vanity which I suspect was from a leaking pipe, the wall paper was starting to peel off the walls in certain areas of the walls, particularly bad just under the air conditioning vent and the furniture was a bit chipped and scratched because of it's age. We had previously just stayed at the 4 star Guidu in Beijing and the 4 star Central hotel in Shanghai before our stay in Fuzhou (both of these had undergone renovations back in 2011) both of those rooms were much nicer though not as big and alot cheaper. So for value for money I don't rate it very highly at all. Next time in Fuzhou we will look to book one of the newer hotels on offer and probably save some money.

My family and I enjoyed our stay in the hotel immensely. The rooms are excellent - good size with comfortable beds, and top-notch house-keeping. The hotel is also very well-located - in the heart of town. I'd recommend it to any visitor to Fuzhou.

Its nice size the bedroom, and the location its in the city center.

Overall it's a good hotel in Fuzhou, but the cleanliness in Jacuzzi and common male changing room has to be improved, and the buffet breakfast is a standard one without surprise.

Not a bad hotel. Just not up to 5 star rating. Can't comment on the food as i didn't try it. Getting a bit tired looking now.
