Beautiful property with fantastic views of the temples. Easy walk to the temples. Beautifully decorated hotel, the temple view room was large with a small window but great views. Fun port hole window in bathroom with temple view. The property is beautifully manicured with old trees shading the breakfast area, the à la carte breakfast was delicious. A lovely pool area also. We highly recommend staying here.

What an absolute treat to stay at Villa Athena, the stand out accomodation on our Sicily trip, not to say our other accomodation was not so good just that Villa Athena was exceptional. The location within the archeological park allowed access to the valley of the temples through a private entrance as well as spectacular views of the temple of Concordia both day and lit up at night. The pool was lovely, the fitness centre whilst small was decked out with quality cardio and resistance machines as well as some free weights. The service was impeccable without being over the top, the breakfast and dinner were superb. Highly recommend you splurge on this accomodation if planing on visiting the valley of the temples Agrigento.

Varias cosas no me gustaron del hotel: una noche de las dos que estuvimos coincidió con un espectaculo en el valle de los reyes que empieza aprox a las 4 am y que dado que las habitación que estuvimos no estaba insonorizada nos despertó a toda la familia escuchando opera a un volumen considerable, el desayuno se sirve en un comedor que debido a los arboles deja suciedad constante en las mesas, la sensación constante de necesidad de colocarte la cena a precios desorbitados por persona.. Todos estos puntos junto a una falta de inversión, denota un hotel muy bueno de una epoca pasada venido un poco a menos

Creo que es un poco caro, pero me gustó la experiencia y disfruté de las vistas.

El establecimiento ofrece el confort de un buen hotel con una ubicación excepciónal dentro del Valle de los Templos. Las vistas a los templos desde cada habitación, el restaurante, y la piscina hacen de Villa Anthica un sitio único. A destacar también el trato del personal: Alessandro y Melanie su fisio cuyos masajes son un "must" si visitas la Villa. Por último, el desayuno a la carta incluido y que disfrutamos en la terraza, fue uno de los mejores momentos de la estancia.

Lo staff non mi ha fornito alcuna assistenza, giustificandosi dicendo che la struttura si trova in mezzo alla natura e che non era possibile intervenire. Di fatto, non ho potuto usufruire del servizio di colazione. In un hotel di lusso, il personale avrebbe dovuto trovarmi subito un tavolo alternativo al chiuso, coprire adeguatamente i cibi o offrirti la colazione in camera senza costi aggiuntivi. Dire semplicemente "siamo nella natura" è una mancanza di professionalità imperdonabile per quella categoria. Se non siete capaci di fornire una colazione in sicurezza all'aperto, non offritela. Essendo un hotel a 5 stelle, è inaccettabile che la vostra unica giustificazione sia stata che la struttura si trova in mezzo alla natura."

I liked the location and proximity to the valley of the temples.

The interiors and exteriors are dated. I’ve stayed in the property some years ago and I could tell not much changed. You could tell the property was once a luxury hotspot and you can certainly tell by the attitude of the staff. Unfortunately the place failed to keep up with the times and is left with deluded staff and service that’s sub par.

If you are planning a tour of Sicily you need to spend one night here. You get to utilize their special entrance into the Valley of the Temples. Then hang out in their pool with a view of the temples. Beautiful after our HOT day at the temples. Our room also had a patio with a view of the temples. Amazing!! Gorgeous all lit up at night. What a special hotel! The breakfast on the terrace was fantastic.

Such a nice place to stay! The food is amazing, the staff is so friendly, and the spa was great — we got massages and facials from Melania and she was amazing!! Also there are some kittens on the resort and we loved seeing them.

Wonderful hotel, in a spectacular position. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - the rooms are spacious, very comfortable and beautiful, and many have a terrace with a view of the valley of temples. The hotel has its own gate into the valley and a tour over sunset with a guide, which takes 2-3 hours, is highly recommended. Or you can visit without a tour guide if preferred. We used a junior suite for our 2 teenagers which worked well as the sitting area was converted to a single bed so they each had some privacy - almost as good as two separate rooms for them. The popular main restaurant is excellent for dinner. Breakfast and lunch is in the separate restaurant and both are also very good. Pool is great. We had the villa suite which is as good as the website suggests - the terrace is a wonderful place to sit. All in all would highly recommend. Worth knowing that in August and certain other times, the ‘Awakening of the Gods’ opera takes place in front of the Temple of Concordia, which is directly in front of the Hotel. Starts at around 5 am, with some rehearsing before that. The Hotel can get you tickets, or you can watch from the terrace - if you fancy an early morning.

I visited the spa for a body scrub. Melania is an exceptional therapist. It was a very relaxing treatment. The products smelt amazing and I was given some free samples afterwards.

The property’s location is exceptional. The rooms, service and food were also exceptional.

The only comment would be that it takes quite a long time to get your food at the restaurant, be prepared for long meals.

An extraordinary experience at Villa Athena Resort. Staying at this beautiful hotel is a true privilege, especially because it has its own private entrance to the Valley of the Temples. Being able to visit the archaeological site directly from the hotel is something truly special, and the views are simply breathtaking. We could even see the Temple of Concordia from our bathroom window! The hotel itself is beautiful and perfectly located, making it an unforgettable place to stay while visiting Agrigento. We also highly recommend experiencing dinner at **La Terrazza degli Dei**. The setting is spectacular, the food was excellent, and dining with such incredible views made the evening truly memorable. The service was also outstanding, with the entire staff being friendly, attentive and professional throughout our stay. A truly exceptional experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Valley of the Temples. A stay at Villa Athena is definitely worth it!

La chambre était très agréable, l'emplacement absolument parfait. Tout était propre. Le spa était très agréable notamment la masseuse qui a fait très bien son travail.

L'arrivée n'était pas très agréable, l'accueil n'était pas excellent. Nous avons attendu 1h notre chambre alors que nous étions arrivés à 15h exactement. Pas vraiment d'explication, pas vraiment d'accueil chaleureux, dommage pour ce genre de lieu.

The on-site restaurant is outstanding, offering delicious food and breathtaking views of the ancient ruins. The large swimming pool is beautiful and perfect for relaxing. The location is simply unbeatable—the hotel's gardens provide direct access to the Valley of the Temples, making it an ideal base for exploring this remarkable site. The hotel is just a few minutes' drive from Agrigento's historic old town and San Leone. It is also conveniently located near the famous white cliffs of Scala dei Turchi and several beautiful sandy beaches. Our only minor comment is that the bed was a bit too firm for our personal taste. We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

Privatni pristup do Udoli chramu je velky bonus k pobytu, ale moznost navstevy chramu v nocnich hodinach je unikatni moznost s uzasnou az magickou atmosferou toho mista.

I stayed at the hotel for one night only with my son. We were immediately greeted by the hotel staff who were very kind throughout our stay. Lucky us, as we got an upgrade to a room with a view on the tempels. There is a private entrance that guest can use to visit Valle dei Templi. The restaurant, bar and pool area have a view on the tempels as well. Dinner and breakfast are excellent. Would highly recommend to stay there!

I had the most luxurious relaxing anti aging facial from Melania. She included massage of the head, neck, arms, hands and feet. I felt truly rejuvenated after the hot Sicilian sun. Also treated myself to a pedicure from Chara who did a wonderful job restoring my feet from all that walking. Calluses gone and feet massaged and ready to hit the ruins again.

Top Hotel, wunderbarer Ausblick auf den Concordia Tempel. Besonders zu empfehlen das Abendessen im Gemüsegarten, gemeinsam mit anderen Gästen, man hat die Chance auf interessante Bekannschaften. Fie private Führung durch die Tempel war super.

Das Frühstück wird zwar serviert, kein Buffet!, etwas ungewohnt. Man könnte aber an den Semmeln arbeiten, die sind weich, der gekochte Schinken ist Pressschinken, also da könnte man das Eine oder Andere verbessern, aber das ist Klagen auf sehr hohem Niveau.

Villa Athena Resort has one of the most extraordinary locations imaginable. Situated inside the archaeological park of the Valley of the Temples, the hotel offers breathtaking views of the Temple of Concordia, which can be seen from many parts of the resort and is beautifully illuminated at night. Having a private direct access to the archaeological site, with the possibility of buying tickets at reception, is also incredibly convenient. However, our experience did not fully live up to the high expectations of a five-star resort. We had booked the highest room category that was not a suite, a Deluxe Room. We were quite unimpressed to find that our room was located in the basement. There was a walk-in closet and a nice bathroom, although not very big and an annoying detail was that both the towel rack and the towel drier was located directly besides the toilette. The staff were generally professional, but the service did not always have the warmth or personal touch we have experienced at other five-star resorts. The food was good although expensive and quite enjoyable in the spectacular surroundings. The à la carte breakfast was particularly enjoyable! When checking out we noticed that an expensive spa visit was incorrectly charged to our bill, despite never having used the spa. The charge was removed after we pointed it out, but we felt that the matter was handled with very little apology. Villa Athena is a place where the location is the true star. You pay a significant premium for the privilege of staying next to the Valley of the Temples and waking up with views of ancient Greek architecture. For us, the setting was absolutely worth experiencing, but the room allocation and service issues meant that the overall experience fell short of what we expected from a five star resort.

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno davvero piacevole, anche se breve, al Villa Athena Resort. La struttura è splendida, in una posizione unica, e il livello del servizio è stato eccellente. Un ringraziamento speciale va al team dell'accoglienza, sempre sorridente, professionale e disponibile. In particolare desidero ringraziare la Signora Gaia, che è andata ben oltre il suo ruolo: si è gentilmente resa disponibile a verificare il tour guidato che avevo prenotato autonomamente, assicurandosi che fosse tutto confermato, e ci ha inoltre suggerito ulteriori esperienze e luoghi da visitare, contribuendo a rendere il nostro soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Come unico suggerimento, aggiungerei una tenda oscurante all'oblò della camera, perché al mattino entra molta luce. Inoltre, durante la colazione la presenza di numerose vespe ha reso l'esperienza un po' meno piacevole.

Every member of the staff was genuinely kind, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. They helped make the occasion feel even more special with their thoughtful service. If you’re looking for a unique place that combines history, beautiful surroundings, outstanding hospitality, and an unforgettable atmosphere, Villa Athena is hard to beat. We will return.

Villa Athena has unmatched views, incredible service, and beautiful grounds. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. We stayed one night as part of a driving trip across Sicily and it was a delight to have an evening overlooking the Valley of the Temples! After days driving and hiking, a little time in the pool followed by a massage from Melania at the spa was transformative. The views from the restaurant at night are absolutely incredible.

We had our own patio off the room and we were close to the lovely pool. They have private access to the Valley of the temples entrance. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had room 104 with a balcony. The view of the temple was fantastic. Easy direct access to the ruins, we wandered around mid afternoon and had the place to ourselves. Great pool area.

Upon arrival, we were made comfortable in the living room adjacent to the check-in desk. Before we even begun to register, two glasses of champagne were poured. Registration was professional and relatively easy. My AE card was on file and she only needed our passports to finalize the check-in which she did from the sofa. She arranged for our luggage to be delivered to our suite. While this was happening, she escorted us to the various dining options which included a dining table in a less formal setting of the vegetable garden where all ingredients were grown. We chose to eat in the mid terrace dining space where the piano was playing. Exceptional dining experience with local wine. The pool area was well maintained and there were staff available at all times to address any needs that one would need to be addressed. Our suite faced the Temple of Concordia and at night time was even more spectacular. We travel the world and we both would state this was by far one of the best experiences we have had. I highly recommend for focus on customer service and satisfaction. Truly a Five-Star Experience!

No jantar, há um delicioso piano de fundo com uma seleção musical perfeita, porém, a gerência faz uma "barbecue party" movida a Tarantella e Funiculi - Funiculà que infelizmente contamina o clima perfeito do jantar à vista deslumbrante do Templo da Concórdia.

Wow!! What a beautiful spot. Our only disappointment was we only booked one night! Spectacular hotel overlooking the magnificent Greek temples beautifully lit up at night. Hotel was excellent. The best steam shower I’ve seen anywhere in the world, very comfortable rooms. Boris at the front desk was outstanding, helping us find a great guide and making our stay so comfortable helping us with so many questions! The hotel is beautiful with stunning gardens, pool and excellent dinning! We had a fantastic dinner in their signature restaurant where Alexandro looked after us with great recommendations. The food was superb! Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the temples was another treat! Highly recommend this place if visiting Agrigento! The hotel also has special access to the temple ruins so it allows a little extra time in the evening! Just loved this place and their people!

If you are interested in viewing Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, do yourself a favor and stay at Villa Athena, the only resort situated within the archaeological park. The hotel does anything and everything to welcome you but the best part of our trip was the view of the Concordia Temple right from our room, as well as throughout the resort. It is truly breathtaking to view it at every turn, as well as lit up at night. We even did a picnic at their local farm.

Overall the Hotel was lovely with a pool, with lunch/snack and bar service by the pool, a nice fitness center, and nice enough rooms that were well airconditioned. The hotel has a beautiful view of the Valley of the Temples, and a private entry way to access this site, which we did with our private guide. That is a nice perk of staying at this hotel. The restaurant was very fancy and overpriced though. I got a lobster with pasta special and I should have asked for the price in advance, my mistake, it was $80 Euros!!!! The made to order breakfast that was included was lovely and very good. There isn't a lot in this area of Agrigento, so we only stayed one night to break up our drive from Trapani to Ortiga/Siracusa.

My wife and I had a lovely massage with Melania and enjoyed all of the spa facilities. Very relaxing after a hot day!

I am sitting at the pool remembering the amazing dinner we had with Govanni in the garden with an amazing view of the Temples. I highly recommend the entire garden dining experience. The food was outstanding, the chef was primo and Govanni completed the experience with his loving charm. The most beautiful music served as a backdrop to a perfect evening. Highly recommended!! Additionally, Alessandro is the most attentive and accommodating concierge we have had in Sicily. He has a magical ability to anticipate your every desire.

3 fantastic days in this beautiful hotel. Staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive throughout. The room (classic) was luxurious and well equipped with a balcony. The terrace restaurant was exceptional and atmospheric, the Sicily tasting experience in the kitchen garden was very enjoyable. Our massage at the spa was bliss and time by and in the outdoor pool awesome. And the location...wow! Didn't want to leave, a brilliant way to spend our wedding anniversary.

Our stay at the Villa Athena Resort was spectacular. It stands out as a highlight on our multi-town exploration of Sicily. This 5-star resort sit inside the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Archaeological Park of the Valley of the Temples and offers breathtaking views of the Concordia Temple. We dined at the resort's restaurant the first night, enjoying the freshest fish and superb service while watching the Concordia Temple change colors as it was lit up against the night sky. The following morning, we purchased our tickets at the front desk and were escorted from our hotel to the gate entering the park -- it was that easy! We spent the entire day exploring these fascinating ruins, set amidst olive and almond groves. By the way, the Villa Athena Resort also has its own lush garden; the produce is used in their freshly-prepared foods. Special thanks to Alessandro, who went over and beyond to make our stay so wonderful.

The location to explore the Valley of the Temples is unique and second to none. Breakfast is especially delicious and, like all the reviews say, their yogurt is some of the best ever tasted.

The location was amazing with the view of the temple, the hotel in itself was fantastic, big room, lots of amenities, very clean and the staff was helpful and very nice. The swimming pool was also beautiful, clean and relaxing and the breakfast was incredible. Overall, our stay was great and I would definitely recommend it. We didn’t stay long so we couldn’t try everything, but there are different restaurants and activities being organized during the day.

Charming hotel with a private direct entrance to the ruins. The hotel is set iin a garden with a nice pool area, everything facing the Concordia Temple. We had a suite consisting of an average sized living and bedroom, a small closet, a terrace and a modern bathroom. They offer 3 terraces for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All very nice and with excellent menú and food. AC works well. WIFI could be more stable outside. Staff is very atentive. The best hotel in the área.

Giovani and Vincinzo were amazing. Everything was perfect. The wine! The food! The music! Perfecto!

Fantastic position with direct access to the archaeological site. Spacious, comfortable room with a magnificent view of the Temple of Concordia. Excellent breakfast.

The only down side was the expensive barbecue meal in the evening. The food was average however the staff and other guests were excellent.

This is a great place to stay to visit the park- the private entrance! So handy. The dinner was excellent, we had the Gea Tasting menu- expensive but worth it. Best beef cheeks ever. Waiters cheery and helpful. We parked in the 1st spot outside reception under the pine tree- huge mistake. Car was covered in sap. But this is the sign of a first rate hotel, the staff organised a car detail on a Saturday morning to clean the sap. Excellent service from them, handled very professionally. Finally the best till last- a huge shout out to young mate Bruno at the pool. He is an asset! So attentive, and even remembered our drinks order ( mojito/campari spritz)- made our day at the pool even better. Bang up job Bruno you legend.

The view of and the proximity to the temples is wonderful. I also really enjoyed the pool, the pool bar, the view from the restaurants and the beautiful live piano music over dinner. The staff were welcoming and efficient.

The room was very small for two people, I'm glad we only stayed two nights. Also the food wasn't wonderful, especially at the dinner in the garden, and it was VERY expensive. The dinner in the garden was a set menu with wines and I felt that the quality of the food and the wine was very disappointing, especially as it was billed as showing off Sicilian cuisine and wine. I'd already tried some very good Sicilian wine in other places (my favourites are the Etna biancos and some of the D'Avola Neros) so the ordinary red that was served up at this dinner didn't fit the bill.

We stayed in a beautiful suite with a view of the Temples and were in awe every time we looked out the window or sat on our deck. The room was phenomenal with a sitting area, comfortable king size bed, and shower and separate bath. You cannot beat this location - you walk through a gate to get into the temple complex. We dined at the restaurant and had an incredible view of the temples in the night sky. The staff members were so kind and helpful. This was an experience we will never forget.
