One of the most idyllic places I‘ve ever been and the highlight of our trip in Sicily. These were days in paradise !

O ambiente do hotel é incrível, lindíssimo, com jardins, flores, frutas e um perfume maravilhoso. Isso se soma à vista incrível ao Valle Dei Templi, acomodações impecáveis e um ambiente inesquecível.

Doric is a slice of paradise. Enzo and Sylvia the owners who have created a special place. It ihas all the modern conveniences, yet maintains and respects nature and the authenticity of Agrigento. It is perched on a hill overlooking the valley of the temples. The staff are all there to please and truly happy and friendly. It is clear they love what they do. They grow just about everything on site including pomegranate, figs, lemons, olives, grapes, pistachios, and herbs. Enzo is an architect who designed everything and his stamp is every where. It is centrally located by Agrigento and the archeological site across the road. We went to the beach at San Leone just near the Scala dei Turchi which is less than 15 minutes away and had an amazing day by the sea. A place and experience not to miss. Bravo, we loved our stay!

Wow, simply amazing! Absolutely out of this world. Never been to anything like it before in Sicily. The attention to detail, the atmosphere, the gardens, the facilities and on top of all, the staff, were all amazing. The place is impeccably maintained and their selection of rooms is fantastic, with a good selection of rooms with private pool facities, that can also be heated for the winter. It's an eco resort, so functions on sustainability. They have a massive selection of their own produce offered at the amazing breakfast, as well as through their 5 star restaurant, including their own beer and olive oil. I have absolutely nothing to flaw. I will be back.

We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. From the moment you arrive the staff treats you like family. Everything about the property is thought through, easy to access and beautiful. The management goes above and beyond - Fabiana was wonderful as was everyone else. The food at Ambrosia is divine. The pool is over the top with the swim up bar and the bartender is amazing. All of this plus spectacular views of the Temple. I broke my leg after we had booked the trip and they did so much to make our stay easy for me, including procuring me a wheelchair for Il Risviglio de Dei. We did not even tell them it was my birthday, and there was a birthday surprise at breakfast and they decorated our room. Breakfast was spectacular every morning as we were greeted by Sabina and Alberto and the food was delicious. This was a stay we will never forget and we can’t wait to return. Next time I’ll be walking so I’m visiting the spa! The only thing you will regret about staying here is that you have to leave. ❤️🏛️❤️

Likeable eco-hotel located in a fabulous position in southern Sicily. Situated adjacently to the valley of the well-preserved and impressive Greek temples, there’s a great lateral cross-country view to one of the best examples whilst the Mediterranean lies directly ahead. Although there are only twenty-eight rooms within the Doric there are several configurations, some directly around the pool and some further away on the periphery of the property – where we were. After a warm welcome on arrival from the young lady in Reception, we were transferred to our room in a golf cart and so were able to appreciate the well-planned and diverse landscaping on the way to our room We had a detached dwelling with its own small pool and ample terrace overlooking the hotel’s varied garden and, of course, the Greek temple and the sea. Certainly enough room within for two to be comfortable but it is rather on the spartan side. Essentially, the bedroom had a large bed (the most comfortable hotel bed Mrs EPR said has ever slept in, and she’s slept in a lot), whilst the lounge accommodated a not very ergonomic settee and a desk. All the uncovered shelving and open hangers are in the lobby and if a lot of storage is required then some creativity will be necessary. Opposite is the bathroom with a capacious and easy to operate shower which always had plenty of hot water and was well-sealed. All this is perfectly adequate and functional accommodation, but the big wow factor of this suite is the exterior dual-level patio which has loads of room with sunbeds and reclining chairs plus its own small unheated (brrrr!) pool which is long and deep enough to swim three or four strokes from one end to the other. This area is diligently maintained and has adequate shade during the day and is a great alternative to the general pool area if privacy is your preference. The five chalets in this category are on their own street in the quietest area of the hotel, and the surrounding horticulture and its associated aroma is really very pleasing. Breakfast is taken in a separate area at the other end of the complex with the most friendly and helpful team on hand administering a good selection of all the usuals, much produced locally, with a particular emphasis on cakes. There’s also a very keen egg lady cooking variations to order. Although there is a large terrace with that temple-based view, there is also plenty of room inside to escape the breakfast time wasps. We ate in the hotel restaurant a couple of times and enjoyed the view, of course, plus well-crafted meals in the Michelin style ably presented by a team of very professional guys working the tables. There’s just enough parking availability on site with further spaces away from the main area if necessary. The Grecian Temples are about 10 minutes drive away, with Agrigento just beyond. There are a few out of town restaurants nearby although the quality does vary. We would be quite tempted to return to the Doric as the advantages far outweigh the minor unsaid niggles. The staff are all very friendly, the location and grounds are beautiful and the suite with pool served its purpose well without being ostentatious.

This place is a gem. We spent only 2 nights here but would have loved to stay longer. The hotel is located on a quiet small hill next to the Valley of the Temples. You can see the temples from a distance when you're having your breakfast and from your room. We took the room with the pool in August and having that pool available in the heat, and even for warm night was just beautiful. Swimming and seeing the temples from a distance with the hotels' vineyards in between is an absolute stunning view. The room is spacious and ver well equipped even for having 2 young kids with us. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating anytime of the day. The room are very clean, and staff clean it twice daily. If we could live in this hotel, we would. If we ever come back to Sicily, this will be on the top of our list of places to return to. Thank you.

Can't praise this hotel enough. The service is 5 star all the way. The grounds are just absolutely gorgeous. Everywhere you look are citrus trees, pomegranate tree, olive trees, rosemary and flowers, flowers, flowers, all set on a hill overlooking a desert like valley with the Valley of the Temples standing over it, and the ocean in the distance. The views are incredible both day and night. There is an outdoor pool with bar and a restaurant, which we enjoyed. The hotel is very eco friendly getting 95% of their electricity from their own solar field and growing a lot of the food they serve. This is a truly special place. Our room had an amazing view through the floor to ceiling French door, and a totally covered indoor pool, with enough doors and windows to open to make it feel outdoor. The private in-room pool was cleaner than clean and had constant water cycling through it as water spills over the front Infinity style. Given how hot it was in Agrigento, the in-room pool was awesome for a late night swim after dinner. Otherwise, the room is all white, very modern and simplistic. If you are visiting Sicily, don't miss out on spending a night in Agrigento so you can visit the ancient sites, have a great meal in the very nice town, and enjoy a stay at this unique hotel. As an added bonus, this hotel was priced way under what they could be charging, coming in at 1/3 of what we spent on other hotels in Sicily.

This boutique hotel was top notch. Clean & spacious guest rooms; updated and new amenities; delicious restaurant; friendly & dedicated staff (GianMarco, Fabianna and Patrizia). The breakfast crew was extremely attentive and the views of the historic Temples were stunning. We’d definitely go back again!

Il Doric Boutique Hotel è un resort meraviglioso, una di quelle gemme che raramente si incontrano nel Belpaese. Tutto è stato semplicemente perfetto: dalla calorosa accoglienza alla professionalità dello staff, fino alla camera incantevole con piscina privata riscaldata. Pulizia impeccabile e una vista mozzafiato sul Tempio di Giunone che da sola vale il soggiorno. Un'esperienza indimenticabile.

Tutto, bellissima struttura panoramica sulla valle dei templi, immersa nel verde con personale estremamente gentile e professionale, piscina strepitosa, ed ultimo ma non per ultimo il ristorante di alto livello.

Doric hotel was fabulous. The views are amazing, we felt so lucky to have the temple to see at night, the rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean, the restaurant is top notch, great service fantastic cooking and excellent ingredients. The staff were all so lovely.

Doric Eco Boutique Resort was an excellent base for both relaxing and exploring Agrigento's Valley of the Temples and the surrounding countryside. Set among vineyards and farmland, the property offers a peaceful setting with beautiful views and a genuine sense of place. The accommodations are a collection of casitas—some attached and others freestanding—scattered throughout the landscaped grounds; many feature private plunge pools, including ours. While our room was intimate in size, it was thoughtfully designed and provided everything we needed for a comfortable two-night stay. The resort embraces its agricultural roots, with a small working farm and its own vineyards, adding to its authentic Sicilian character. Both the breakfast terrace and the poolside restaurant overlook the Valley of the Temples, creating a spectacular backdrop for every meal. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the terrace on our first evening, and the following day I treated myself to a relaxing spa treatment. Be sure to leave time to unwind and enjoy the resort, as we did after visiting the Valley of the Temples, local wineries, and other nearby sights. It was the perfect place to relax between excursions. Warm, attentive service and a tranquil countryside setting made this one of the highlights of our time in Sicily. We would gladly stay again.

Our stay there was exceptional from the very beginning. I really enjoyed the tour around the complex. Staff was very friendly and customer oriented :) I appreciate all the effort they put to make our stay the best possible. And our room was the cherry on the top. The private swimming pool with the view of vineyard and the temple; and the amazing scent of flowers coming from the garden in front of it! Great breakfasts and restaurant. If you have a car, the valley of temples is very close.

Stunning location at the top of a hill, with panoramic views everywhere at the resort. Our room was beautiful, all of the staff were friendly and helpful. We loved it and are hoping to come back!

This property was a dream. The views of the Valley dei Templi at sunset can’t be beat. The staff were incredible both at the reception and at breakfast. Our room had a jacuzzi, a sauna AND a steam room. Fantastic for relaxing after a long day of exploring

This is a really beautiful hotel. The design and landscaping of the resort has been very thoughtfully done and the planting is beautiful. Wonderful colourful, fragrant flowers , shrubs, fruit and herbs, many of which are incorporated into the cuisine. Lovely Ortigia products and thoughtful touches like water and nuts for our onward journey. The view from our villa was spectacular (as I imagine are many of the rooms). The food was delicious. The breakfast was the best we had in Sicily - so many wonderful things to choose from. Finally we had a small issue - the resort owner came and found us at breakfast and sorted it to our complete satisfaction. The lady on re caption could not have been more helpful. This is an excellent hotel in a beautiful spot (don’t judge it by the approach road with very good service. We stayed 2 nights but wish we had stayed longer. Thank you.

Prachtige locatie met uitzicht over de Vallei van de tempels. Met slechts 10 minuten rijden vanaf het hotel naar de entree. Het ontbijt was geweldig mede met dank aan de ontzettend vriendelijke bediening van Lydia en haar collega’s! Ook voor het diner hoef je ‘s avonds niet op zoek want het uitzicht en de service zijn waarschijnlijk moeilijk te evenaren.

What a wonderful place! Fantastic location looking towards the Valley of the Temples (less than 10 minutes drive away) amazing food (including for vegetarians), immensely welcoming and helpful stuff all in a very attractive contemporary spa resort setting. Our room came with our own private plunge pool - which you can light up in different colours - looking out at the Temple of Juno. Locally sourced foods a speciality, including their own olive oil.

Simply perfect! Great location, quiet and comfortable. Great staff, nice and helpful. Great food and great wine. Clean, cosy and with beautiful views on the valley of the temples. It’s been a pity we only staid two days. I wish I had knew it before.

I've stayed in probably 1,000+ hotels in my life averaging 90 nights a year for many, many years, and this was one one of my most pleasant stays ever. It's impossible to cover all the positives. 6 out of 5 stars, friendly check-in and entire staff, welcome fresh fruit slushies, golf cart transportation to your room (like a bungalow), spectacular Juno Temple & sea views, private plunge pool with said view, modern room with a spa feel, spa available, excellent AC, stocked mini bar featuring all sorts of locally produced items, hotel grown organic products (fruit, nuts, water, alcohol[s] the list goes on . . . .), gardens, excellent restaurant, private transportation to Agrigento sites, seemingly green and self-sustainable. . . I really can't get over this place and wish I stayed another day -- or two. Kudos to Delta Airlines who recommended this property via their hotel program. I've already told multiple friends about this hotel. If you're in Agrigento, STAY HERE! Just loved it!

This was our favorite resort in all of Sicily.—and that is really saying something because we carefully selected and stayed at five different fantastic places. Getting there was a bit of tricky (didn’t help that there was a large cement barrier on half the road on the way up!) but once you familiarize yourself with the area it’s not a problem. The resort is a great base to visit the Valley of Temples. From the jump the staff fall over themselves to make you happy. Everyone was friendly and helpful from the front desk to the servers at the restaurant—first class all the way. Exceptional customer service. Upon check in you can enjoy a refreshing granita and take your first peak at the Temple of Juno in the distance through their binoculars. The entire resort faces it so you get that spectacular view in the distance throughout your stay. Our suite with hot tub was fantastic and very private. The AC worked well and the hot tub worked well. If you want to use the hot tub you just call the front desk to turn it on 10 minutes before. No hassles. You can also just set a schedule for them to turn it on. All the amenities were nice and the bed was very comfortable. The pool area is a real plus. The pool is heated and very comfortable even in early April when we visited. This allowed us to ENJOY the pool! Other 5 star resorts in Sicily need to do this! It absolutely made our stay. Here you can actually enjoy lounging at the swim up bar. Because we were there during the start of the season we felt like we had the place almost to ourselves. It was amazing. I highly recommend booking a two hour relaxation session at their spa. This includes an hour of hydrotherapy in their spa followed by massages. The spa is AWESOME—complete with sauna, steam room, ice room, large hot tub with jets with a great view—and you get the place to yourself! It was one of the best spa experiences we’ve ever had. The Michelin star restaurant on site was delicious and breakfast was excellent with exceptionally attentive service. Overall it was just an amazing stay. Highly recommend!

A truly amazing stay. The quality and design of the room with private plunge pool was exceptionally. The staff were well trained, professional and polite. We travelled with 2 miniature daschunds who were welcomed and spoilt. The two restaurants Sicilian for lunch and dinner and the terrace for Breakfast overlook the ocean and the Valley of then Temples .The owner of the resort was on hand every day ensuring all our needs met.

As soon as we arrived at the staff asked for a good review and a tip. That is not a way to feel a guest welcomed. We found the service pushy, the restaurant staff is better. The hotel has a beautiful view, the size of the room is ok. The interior Design terrible, everything is made of plastic, the tables, the chairs, the lounges, the almos!!! And expensive

A fantastic 5*star hotel with great views of the temples. The valley of the temples is only 7 min driving away. We went with our friends and did enjoy the very professional and friendly staff and the excellent regional food presented in a nice modern way. There are the manicured gardens with stunning views where you can find the vineyards with a grape variety they resurrected after 300 years. We were drinking this delicious wine during our dinner. There is a wonderful SPA with heated pool and the delicious breakfast is served on a dedicated terrace with great views. Our room had a private pool with view on the temples giunone. The scents of the jasmine and the lemon are all over the resort. We really did enjoy our short stay and will go back to this beautiful place.

A truly outstanding place. The property is very new, beautifully designed and perfectly integrated into the landscape. Our junior suite with private pool was exceptional. The panoramic view of the ancient Greek Juno temple and the sea is simply unforgettable, especially at sunset. Service was superb throughout the stay — professional, warm and attentive. Definitely a place we would gladly return to.

The eco stuff is a bit odd at times. We had the biggest pool towel I’ve ever seen but there were no bath towels (you are supposed to use the same towel) and the bathrobes were very small. Understand that’s it’s probably because of the remote location but very odd to be asked not to put paper down the toilet in a hotel at this price point!

Stayed here 2 nights on self drive tour. We took advantage of offer to upgrade to junior suite. Well worth it - far more space. Perfect location with stunning views of Valley of Temples. Staff v friendly and helpful. Food high quality. Lovely breakfast on outdoor terrace. Property and grounds immaculate. Free parking. Good internet connection. An oasis of peace and quiet. Not cheap but you get what you pay for!

Super Zimmer mit hervorragender Ausstattung und fantastischer Aussicht. Das gesamte Personal ist extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch kulinarisch ein echtes Highlight: gutes Frühstück und ein köstliches Abendessen im Hotelrestaurant mit exzellentem Service. Eine absolute Weiterempfehlung!

Das Früstück war zwar gut - aber nicht hervorragend. Hier hat das Doric m.E. noch am meisten Potenzial. Abstimmung beim Personal war noch nicht optimal und es enstand z.B. der Eindruck, dass der Koch zum ersten Mal ein Omelette zubereitet hat (lecker war es danach aber schon).

Expérience magnifique. L'hôtel déjà très beau il y'a 3 ans est encore monté en gamme. Décoration raffinée et soignée. Très confortable, vue incroyable, services hautement qualitatifs (piscine, jacuzzi) et environnement très apaisant. Très bon et beau petit déjeuner. Staff au petit soin et flexibilité très appréciable (late check out). Un petit bémol sur le bruit généré par un groupe très bruyant (couvrant nos discussions à table). A magnificent experience. The hotel, already beautiful three years ago, has improved even further. Refined and elegant decor. Very comfortable, incredible view, top-quality amenities (pool, jacuzzi), and a very peaceful atmosphere. A delicious and beautifully presented breakfast. The staff was incredibly attentive and their flexibility (late check-out) was much appreciated. One minor drawback was the noise from a very loud group (which drowned out our conversations at the table).

Beautiful setting, quite new hotel, heated pool, staff super-helpful, a lot of extra's in the room, very nice breakfast with freshly pressed orange juice, granita, possibility for freshly made eggs, etc. we took lunch on arrival in the restaurant: we had some high expectations, but were a little bit disappointed about the food. They overcharged us two items (25 euro too much). In an expensive five star hotel, we don't expect to be "voluntary" charged a percentage for the staff. This is in the restaurant and for the hotel. I think this doesn't suit a high class hotel. We gave something for the staff, but not the full amount they proposed.

The Doric was beautiful with warm and lovely staff and excellent accommodations. The room was spacious and charming. Our only complaint was the music at the pool.

The property was beautifully maintained. It was stunning! I love that the restaurant on sleep was exceptional. A swim-up bar in the pool was an added plus. I wish I would’ve booked more days at this property.

Private pool in the suite was great, with a view down to the sea. The room was comfortable size with all needed for two, and the food was great. The host who welcomed us Fabbiana was lovely as were all the staff.

we waited a little bit of a time for dinner one night in busy restaurant, but minor. Everything else was perfect.

From the moment we arrived the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was incredible…with a private plunge pool and views over the valley of the temples. The restaurant food was delicious and breakfast was superb. Wish we had stayed longer
