Absolutely loved our stay, this will definitely be our go to motel when in town. We were in town for a tangi and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay; Thank you Kelly and family for giving us such an amazing stay while we were here

A few repair issues in the unit i.e. kitchen cupboard door came off its hinges.

Children received lovely welcome treats of chocs and sweets and coffee pods for the adults, thank you. It was a lovely touch. The motel is at a great location, our room was a good size for our family of four. Had all the amenities we needed for our short stay. Room was dated, but it was clean and tidy.. The electric blankets and heaters came in handy too.
Little kitchen appliances like the toaster and kettle could do with an upgrade or proper clean as both were showing clear signs of wear and tear. Otherwise it was all ok.

The condition of the room, the cleanliness, and the overall upkeep were not consistent with the images and descriptions presented on your website. Because I booked based on that advertising, the difference between what was promised and what I experienced was both disappointing and unacceptable.

There was no hot water from the time we checked in until the following day. However, the owner kindly allowed us to use the shower in the room next door, which was a little inconvenient but appreciated. It also would have been helpful to have a designated car park directly outside our room, as most of the other rooms appeared to. I had to move my car because parking outside our room would have blocked access for the guest staying a couple of doors away.

Fully wheelchair accessible spacious unit. Large bathroom with grab rails and detachable shower head. Nice touch to have a complimentary shower chair. Highly recommend😁
Nothing. There is some construction going on but it didn’t impede our stay. The only downer to our visit to Whanganui was the weather but it was nice to have a warm place to stay.

Reviewed Jun 27, 2026Our room was large, clean and matched the description and pictures. We had a convenient carpark right outside our door, and the garden view was very pleasant. The motel is located within moderate walking distance of supermarkets and the main city centre.
Our only concern was that the main heater did not work efficiently. There were 2 small, alternative heaters provided and, using all 3, we managed to stay reasonably warm.

Reviewed Jun 17, 2026Der Parkplatz direkt vor dem Zimmer. Wenigstens hatte es genug Heizöfen im Zimmer die Aircon hat keine Heizleistung gebracht.
Das schlechteste Motel auf meiner Reise, überall hatte es noch Schmutz von den vorigen Gästen, bei der Kaffeemaschine lief der Wassertank über Nacht aus. In der Dusch hatte es Schimmel und der Ventilator tönte wie ein Triebwerk. Die Polstergruppe war durchgesessen und der Fernseher funktionierte nicht. Der WC Ventilator war dermassen verdreckt dass er praktisch nichts mehr abzog. Wenn man nach draussen schaute hatte man das Gefühl es habe Nebel, die Fenster war dermassen schmutzig.
