I have stayed in cleaner rooms. There were dead insects along the skirting board and marks in the bathroom walls and shower. Seemed to be no insulation between floors as the elephant upstairs was thumping around both nights, on and off all night, both nights. We eventually gave up on sleeping and checked out very early and went home to our own beds. Probably won't be staying there again. On a good note staff were wounderfull and the reception area looked lovely.
Really handy for Stansted airport.
Great stay. Very quiet. Convenient for Stansted airport. Secure parking
Nice, clean close to the airport, after a 6 hours delay and missed flight connection… a quiet place ready to crash in was just what the doctor ordered! Definitely use it again!
It was ok for a short overnight stay.
Our room was over the front door which opened and closed all night ! Plus opposite the entrance to the lift which did exactly the same. Worse sleep ever ! No caring response from receptionist either
Rude staff dirty rooms restaurant and breakfast not in facilities
Friendly staff and very attentive.
I booked this hotel prior to flying from Stansted because hotel website says there is a shuttle bus...This is incorrect I was told at Stansted that there is no shuttle and that there are no local buses on Sundays. I had to get an Uber which cost £31 ! The person on reception was helpful and informed that we could use the local bus the following day and got us times. He also gave directions. 5 stars for reception staff, but the hotel website needs to be updated !
Booked in advance so good value. Plenty of free parking; registration plate is required with check-in. The man on reception was efficient and friendly. Hallway to room was clean and smelt fresh. Room had desk, two chairs, storage/hanging space, TV, was clean, neat and tidy with comfortable beds. A kettle with coffee tea facilities were provided. Shower was all good but the loose toilet roll holder was annoying. It’s in services so some food/drink facilities available. Less than 10 minute drive to Stansted airport - I would use again :)
We arrived late evening and were departing early am to catch a flight. Mohammed was prompt in checking us in (and out) and was friendly and helpful. The room was perfect; clean and cosy for me and my two grown up kids to share. Short transfer by uber to the airport to ensure we got our early flight. All in all a pleasant experience.
Just too much noise with the traffic and the aircraft. Staff were great and the room was lovely.
Hotels very clean and tidy , only issue was not being aware of the car park charges , £5 but I was only made aware when booking in , it was quiet thankfully as half the car park is electric vehicle charging limiting space for guests
Quiet location
The days inn itself was fine for our stay before a flight from Stansted. The staff were friendly and the room fine. Sadly, there are very unsafe manhole covers on the walkway running from the hotel to the services (uneven and with a deep dip in the adjoining path), the path is badly lit and even though I was watching my steps, it was pitch black and I fell over and badly twisted by arm and ankle, as were as grazing up my arms and legs. I have reported the incident to the receptionist, so I'm hoping the management look into it before someone badly injures themselves.
Ideal location for early morning flight from Stansted. Just what you need for overnight stay. Comfortable, quiet room. Easy access to service station amenities. Easy check in and check out. Good price. Nothing to dislike.
Easy check in really nice young man on reception. Room was excellent nice and clean, good bed & pillows, great bathroom. Tea & coffee tray nicely stocked. Quiet room. Easy very early morning check out. Perfect!
I stayed at this hotel recently and unfortunately, the experience was far from relaxing. The room faced a busy street and a car park, which made it extremely noisy throughout the day and night. To make matters worse, there was no air conditioning, so keeping the windows closed wasn’t an option — the heat was unbearable. Another major inconvenience was breakfast. Although it was included in the booking, guests were required to walk to a different hotel to have it. This was not communicated clearly in advance and felt like a hassle, especially in the morning. Overall, the lack of basic comfort and poor planning made the stay disappointing.
Very comfortable, clean, conveniently next to Stansted airport.
It’s very basic and poor, it’s noisy the sink had an issue it is cheap and near the airport but that is about all it has going for it. They could have done something to reduce noisy doors. It also has no lift.
I stayed here because I read there was a shuttle to the airport. Instead on checkin I was told there is no shuttle and it was supposed to be updated already. Instead I had to pay another £25 to get an Uber to the airport. This was terribly inconvenient because we were traveling with two kids with car seats. So we had to install the car seats again to fit into the uber. Then repack it at the airport. Uber driver was great but not having the shuttle was disappointing. Again there is NO SHUTTLE. Just a bus which didn’t seem reliable to the airport and the trip is at least 30 minutes. Otherwise room was your average budget hotel in UK. US budget hotels are so much better. So having American names UK budget hotels mean nothing.
Unexpected fee for parking as booked through 3rd party. No mention throughout the booking process or confirmation emails: checked in online and no mention of this either. Very disappointing
We had requested a cot for out toddler, upon arrival the cot had no base or mattress, just a folded towel to "cover" the frame of the cot. This was not at all suitable for anyone to sleep in. We complained to the reception and she managed to find another cot which did have a base. This was better however there was no mattress still.
Does what it needs to do bed and shower for an early flight
Reception staff dismissive and uninterested. Beds hard as nails. Alot of noise from above and the corridor.
No air conditioning
Shower pressure isn’t great. Woke up to someone signing their heart out at 2am this morning before we checked out. Staff were lovely and friendly.
.
Excellent stay for early am flight from Stansted
Property was hiding away from main road. You have to walk in a very dirty and dark road to get to property. Far from airport.
.
Omg could you put a toilet any closer to a wall Room was lovely and clean but tired I am guessing the apprentice plumber put the toilet there
The people that worked at this property were exceptionally kind and helpful. The property itself was grubby and the surroundings were dirty and trashy, but safe. I guess I got what I paid for because it was very inexpensive, but I think I was expecting a bit better upkeep in a chain that I am familiar with.
Just as I expected
The hotel was fine for what i needed but was very average. Quite run down and basic. On getting to my room the door was propped open with a towel as if it was still being cleaned. It wasn't, so was rather random. It was cheap and convenient for the airport though.
It was a solo trip and it was the perfect location. I had a good time. The room was very clean and spacious. I enjoyed my stay. Staff was helpful and the restaurant food was amazing. Thank you.
Too hot- aircon would have helped. Further from airport than expected, hence very reasonable price, i guess Staff very pleasant though - just fine for one night
It was a standard Days Inn. No air conditioning, no fans available, it was a very hot weekend. Room on the small side. It was an accessible room but we found the lowered bath with shower over very difficult to use. Shower not clearly labelled regarding temperature etc. Staff were pleasant and helpful when i asked them anything. EV chargers only forTesla cars. I had to use the ones at the service station. Inconvenient for a disabled customer.
The hotel was fine for a short overnight stay. The lady on reception came across as a bit unfriendly at check-in. We had to go back to reception to order towels which had not been left in the room and to report a broken item which we did not want to get the blame fore at a later stage. I would use again in the future.
Buen hotel
For the price, the hotel room itself was fine. Comfortable bed, clean and a hot shower. However calling itself an airport hotel with no shuttle to the airport is quite unfortunate. If you have an early morning flight, you can either book an expensive taxi, take the bus that only runs once an hour or take a chance on an uber showing up. Luckily our uber did show but it was cancelled several times that morning which caused added stress. I would not recommend if you’re planning to head to the airport early morning.
Convenient for airport and nicely refurbished. Staff were friendly and helpful, bedroom well furnished and clean.
Good clean accommodation, public areas could do with an upgrade, had to go to The Ramada for breakfast, which is not ideal if it’s raining. All in all it was value for money and was fine for our needs, surprisingly quiet considering it was at a motorway services
It is what it is. A one night stay place that's comfy enough to
It's nice and convenient for early Airport drop off.
Decent hotel for the money you pay.
We stayed two nights at the Days Inn London Wyndham M11. The highlight of our stay was definitely the receptionist Alex — she was extremely kind, let us check in early, and gave us great tips about London. Her hospitality truly made a difference. The hotel’s location is relatively close to Stansted Airport, which is convenient. However, getting to and from the hotel by public transport wasn’t always easy. On multiple occasions, we had to wait up to 40 minutes for a bus, which was frustrating, especially when carrying luggage or traveling with a child. The room itself had some downsides: the hallway smelled strongly of mold, and the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned, with hair left behind from previous guests. These details affected the overall comfort of our stay. In summary, we truly appreciated Alex’s excellent service, but the hotel could improve in cleanliness and transportation accessibility.
Stay here now before travelling the next day, always clean, bed very comfy, convenient for airport, would recommend
Great reasonably priced stay close to the airport. Requested a quiet room and we didn’t hear a peep. The hotel is next to the services so easy to walk over for food. The only little gripe was, I had read on reviews that the parking was free, but when checking in we were charged for parking. It was only £5 for the night so like I say, only a little gripe.
We needed a one night stay for 4 people. This hotel was very cheap and included all 4 in one room. So we got what we paid for and it was fine for one night. Close to the airport, room was ok nothing fancy, facilities at the welcome services (which is where this hotel is) were good. Good enough for overnight stay and shower before early flight.
Very clean nice reception !!
We stayed as we had a very early flight. Nice and comfortable hotel. Quiet and clean.
Good value
Worse nightmare!! The room was ok and what to expect from a cheap hotel to be honest, but the room was a bit smelly and the carpet could do with a deep clean to fresh it up! One of the cups was unwashed with remains of previous coffee in it so that was quite disgusting. Perhaps a little unlucky me to have booked that room at that day with the guest whoever might be booked the room above mine and the guest would not stop pacing in the room for couple of hours LITERALLY NON-STOP!! This was 10pm from 8pm, when I had to call reception to ask them to call the guest above as to ask he or she to stop walking in the room on which I could hear the paces above my head so it was a nightmare!! Then the guest stopped and by 3am they were up again and the torture has started one more time with the paces above my head!!!! If you ever book this hotel make sure you get the room at the top floor as I presume all floors are the same which can be heard from the below room. Good luck!!
Unfortunately found noisy as could hear person in room above stomping around at all hours
Ideal for airport travel
Work related
Great place to stay near the airport! The rooms are very comfortable.
I wouldn’t stay here again
Was only there to sleep before flight, adequate
Cheap and cheerful which was just what we needed after a long day of travelling. It was quiet despite being so close to the motorway. There were some snacks available to buy but we ate in the services instead.
To clean Moore please
Really nice place to stay before we fly off from Stansted,it’s always clean and bedding nice and fresh, nothing fancy but it suits us.
Great value for money and nice and quiet.
Room very clean. It was very basic with poor chairs and no table. One of the chairs had been very badly repaired. There was plenty of room for a small table. The bathroom toilet roll holder kept falling apart. Towels are very thin and poor quality. Curtains marked and wouldn't close properly. Would not stay here again
Very easy and comfortable
Easy
Area was difficult to find from the bus stop. No street lighting when its dark. No sit down restaurant, just fast food. Not all fast food placeswere
Convenient, clean, welcoming.
There were cobwebs in the corner of our room and there was a damp smell. Apart from that ok.What you would expect from a budget hotel. We DID NOT expect to pay for parking. Apparently it was introduced earlier this year, £5 per night
Perfect for an over night airport stay. Clean, confortable. No problems.
Good location and clean
All very nice. Noisy as expected as near airport and services.
The only reason for my low score is the was bed had springs sticking out and my husband and I had a terrible nights sleep, but we couldn’t fault the staff.
was ok . nothing fantastic about the place
Overnight stay before leaving from Stanstead airport. A little tatty but served its purpose well. Located in the motorway service station so busy but easy access. Would use them again.
Reception staff was on the phone talking all the while during check in ,talking to us in between, no personal touch.
The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful! The room was great, and very nice/clean for the price. Exceeded our expectations! They had everything perfectly set up for 4 people, the trundle bed was even already made. Also, a perfect location for getting to the airport early the next morning. Overall a wonderful experience.
I was charged £5 as parking fee when checkin. This extra charge was not mentioned when making reservation via hotels.com! The front desk lady was rude and just impatiently asked me to pay instead of explaining the details to me
Cheap & reasonably clean
The room was clean and very spacious.
We wasn’t there very long, room was ok, the charger points at the side of the bed were broken, had to plug in my phone on the other side of the room which wasn’t ideal
Good parking and quiet room.
Quaint cottage type rooms, excellent Pub for food and drinks and a beautiful view of the Thames, Highly Recommend!!
The hotel was exactly as we expected, but the service was better. The receptionist could not have been more helpful. The room was spacious and had everything you'd expect from a 3 star place. It did need a little touch of paint to spruce it up a bit, but it was nice and clean and comfortable. It was easily reached by bus from Stanstead airport. There is a welcome break station next to it, so has whatever you need. It also has a partnership with the Ramada bext door for breakfast and dinner- which were both really good. In fact, better ghan we expected. Great stay for us.
We arrived from our flight 01.30, guy on reception was amazing found us a room on the ground floor as my friend can’t manage stairs and I forgot to mention it when I booked our rooms. Room was warm when we arrived, tired decoration, could hear upstairs moving. Beds comfy, linens clean, big shower, towels okay. Would stay again
Excellent, simple stopover when you have a very late arrival into Stansted and a long drive to face. Good value, clean, comfortable room and bathroom facilities. Kettle and with tea and coffee. No frills and short drive from the airport.
Clean, comfortable space for a quick sleep before a very early flight. Parking was charged at £5 extra as advertised. Easy to find, just off the motorway.
Well. You get what you pay for. The bed largely worked and, for a handy hotel near Stansted, that's really all that mattered.
Functional nights stay before a flight the following day - convenient and cheap - nice little hotel
This hotel does its job fine, but the room cleaning this was not great with the runner across the bed being heavily and unpleasantly stained, and also a lot of dark hairs in the bathroom.
Family room
Affordable hotel, clean with good location. The receptionist was very helpful. Over all good stay
Friendly staff, comfortable bed, very clean room, on site parking. Just right for my needs.
My family and I had a horrible stay here. The hotel is run down, dirty and in desperate need of renovation, or at least some basic maintenance. The rooms were smelly and unkept, but it wasn't even the worst point. One of the rooms that we were given had somebody living there already! Thankfullly the person wasn't there when we opened the door. We went to the reception and explained what happened, and were given another room. This second room was not cleaned after the last check out, there was garbage in the bins, used utensils on the table, the bedding had hairs on it and was not changed. Third time lucky and we got a room that smelled like someone emptied a can of Febreze in it, but we were too tired to argue and went to bed. The guy working at the reception who was responsible for all this mess didn't even say sorry, and was terribly rude and uncaring through out. People like him should not work in jobs like that if they hate hospitality, which he clearly did.
Nice and clean hotel for basic needs - one or two night stay for flights etc. Friendly staff. Changed our room to twin without a problem, it was also a larger family room. The only problem- pillows. Synthetic and hard but then again - I do struggle with pillows in many hotels if they are not real feather pillows.
A great place to stay before or after an early or late Stansted flight. It was all good
Surpricely I was told to pay extra for parking. While booking there was not mentioned about it.
it is really good if you are just stopping over for the day
Charming staff. Everyone was so polite and friendly. Warm, comfortable and excellent value.
