The location and facilities are great. The pool area is brilliant and there was plenty of sun loungers for everyone. The staff were especially good- no request was a problem.

Excellent location, and very nice, modern and roomy suites.

If I have to think really hard, then I would say I wish they had a slightly wider room service offering. Having said that, the suite came with a well equipped kitchen so, if I were there for longer, I could have bought a few things from one of the nearby supermarkets.

Infelizmente deram-nos um quarto com vazamento do AC, ao que o técnico da manutenção levou mais de uma hora a resolver o problema com a gente dentro do quarto, o que foi realmente desconfortável, uma vez que estava com a minha esposa e filhas no interior do quarto, e o hotel não se dignou em endereçar algum pedido de retratação. Posteriormente no final, uma das funcionárias da recepção foi extremamente arrogante e muito pouco profissional, ao ligar para o quarto as 11h:55, e exigir que abandonássemos o quarto antes do horário previsto para o check-out, alegando que o horário terminava às 12h e tínhamos imperativamente que abandonar o quarto imediatamente, o que foi uma atitude muito negativa para o hotel.

We had a really lovely stay and would happily come back. The hotel itself is beautiful and even smells gorgeous the moment you walk in. Overall the team made our trip special, with just a few small things that stop it being a perfect five stars. Let me start with the people, because they were the highlight. Reception were friendly and genuinely helpful throughout, they even offered to charge my phone during our stay when I realised I'd forgotten my charger. The spa staff were lovely too. We arrived at 12 on an early flight from the UK and check-in wasn't until 3, but we happily spent those three hours using the spa and indoor pool while we waited, which made the wait easy. They couldn't offer early check-in or late check-out as the hotel was fully booked, which was completely understandable and no problem at all. Our housekeeper deserves a special mention, super friendly, spotless, and so thoughtful. She arranged my niece and nephew's fluffy toys on their beds, even shaping the linen into a swimming-pool wave to match their duck toy. Such a sweet touch that the kids adored. The hotel also surprised us with a birthday cake delivered to the room, which was delicious and such a kind gesture. It really made the trip. The breakfast buffet was amazing, with a great range including lots of smoothie and detox options. Two small suggestions: the Nutella ran out at the pancake station, and an auto-mixing smoothie dispenser would help, as the smoothies separated a little and looked less fresh than they were. A few things that could be improved. The reception area was very hot with no air conditioning, noticeable on a warm day. The garage is quite tricky to drive out of, though to their credit reception often asks if you'd like the car brought round to the front, which is a nice service. On arrival, though, there was no one outside to greet us or help with our luggage, which a few of us found surprising for a five-star hotel. And on our last day, while a staff member kindly drove our car out, he stood holding the keys while we loaded all the luggage into the boot ourselves, a bit of a missed opportunity to offer a hand. One disappointment was the food at the Oasis bar by the outdoor pool. It wasn't good value, over €100 for two adults and two children, and the quality was poor, the tacos were very dry and the vegetables bitter. We heard the XXL restaurant inside is much better but didn't get the chance to try it. Overall, though, these are small things against a genuinely lovely stay. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are warm and attentive, and the thoughtful touches made it memorable. We'd absolutely return.

We are currently 5 nights into our week long stay at the Wyndham. We are having an incredible family the holiday. The hotel has an incredible vibe and is very luxurious. Pool is just perfect for families. Breakfast wonderful everyday. A huge shout out to Joanna and Anastasia in the kids club. They are incredible with our two girls, who have loved the Kids Club each day. So many incredible restaurants around Quinta de Lago! (Probably better than the hotels to be honest). We feel we have sussed them out and are already considering booking again for next year. Thank you for a wonderful Algarve holiday Wyndham!

There is only one swimming pool which I find surprising for a Hotel of this size which in turn means there is nowhere for you to go if you want some peace and quiet! No one was there monitoring pool games at any point during our stay so felt chaotic and extremely noisey at all times. This was the biggest downfall really, otherwise it’s a nice Hotel.

We had a fantastic time at the Wyndham Algarve this summer. From front door, to reception, to breakfast to the pool bar staff- everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Which I’m sure is why we, and other families keep returning! Thank you again for a fantastic stay at your hotel! We look forward to our return!

Fabulous holiday where there was plenty to do for the kids & the adults

Home from a fantastic 10 night stay here. The staff team are super and so helpful. 2 bed suite was great for our two children and us. Breakfast was extensive with plenty of healthy options. Thoroughly enjoyed a freshly cooked omelette while the kids loved pancakes with fruit and Nutella. I used the spa and had a lovely massage. We are coming back in October 🥰

From arrival until departure are stay was wonderful. Our room wasn't ready on arrival and the lovely lady from Guest Services took us to the bar for a welcome drink. The one bedroom suite is beautiful. My only negative is the location of light switches and controls for the electric blinds. Right in the centre wall of the bed. I opened the blinds multiple times each night. House keeping keep the room as if you're the first guest. Breakfast excellent Bar service both by the pool and in the main bar excellent Breakfast excellent. Great stay.

Great location - easy access for taxis. Plenty availability of sunbeds and towels.

For us, only small issue was having bottle water available on first day only of stay. All hotels now provide water each day. Very important in warm climates where dehydration is a possibility.

Breakfast was good, but busy.

When ordering at the bars, we were overcharged twice (by mistake of course!) AND their Bar and food prices were extortionate.

The room was great, very clean, and spacious.

The pool area was and not particularly pleasant.

Firstly I'd like to commend the staff! All which were fantastic and went above and beyond. Miguel,Pedro,Bruna (loved them) and Frederick. Absolutely beautiful hotel, but would say on the lower end of 5* I'd say that as all the finishing touches weren't up to scratch. Paint that had left above or around the level area, holes in walls exposed where wires for TV's etc are big and visible. I noticed alot of doors walls with greasy-dirty marks all over,in particular a living room table that was in need of a good scrub! ( Which I left a note to be cleaned but wasn't looked at,but maybe cleaner didn't understand) The road was very obvious,but generally louder at rush hour. The grounds are beautiful and of course the golf courses. We felt safe at all time's which means a lot being 2 single ladies. We were also upgraded, bonus! Thank you for having us!

We enjoyed a 7 night break here in a 2 bed Sunrise Suite. The level of hospitality experienced was second to none. Our son has a number of allergies and from the moment we informed the hotel |(before we departed) to the moment we left we felt confident that he would be catered for and be able to enjoy his holiday. The whole food and beverage team were aware of his needs before we arrived. His food was made freshly and safely every day. We would very comfortably recommend the hotel for anyone with allergies. We are returning customers, we had stayed at the hotel 13 months before this trip. The team remembered our sons favourite food and made him treats relating to it for our arrival. What a lovely thing to do. The whole experience made us feel like guest satisfaction really is the top of the hotels agenda - from the Hotel Manager to the Housekeeping Team we have nothing but good things to say, The Suite itself is one of the biggest suites we have stayed in. The kitchenette is extremely handy with everything you need to cook a meal. The beds are large and comfortable, the pillow menu is a great addition. All in all a great trip. We definitely weren’t ready to come home!

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive, making our visit feel truly special from start to finish. The service was exceptional throughout, and the rooms and amenities were excellent. Fantastic breakfast. Thank you to the whole team for such a memorable experience—we can’t wait to return.

Very crowded pool area . As an older couple we were surprised by the number of families. Just not for us . There pool area was crammed with sun beds with only 27 umbrellas . Not a lot of shade Great for families and sun worshipers . We’re going back to Dona Filipe

The hotel itself is beautiful, well-located, and offers great overall amenities.

We experienced a major safety issue that completely ruined our stay. Upon arrival, we found broken glass on the kitchen floor of our room. This was incredibly dangerous. For a hotel of this standard, such a serious oversight in housekeeping and room inspection is unacceptable. It poses a direct safety risk to guests, and the cleaning staff needs to be far more vigilant.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Walking distance to the beach and golfing facilities. Also very close to bicycle hire and some impressive restaurants. Staff were outstanding and couldn't have been more helpful. We were looked after very well throughout our stay. Ella, especially, made a lot of effort to make our stay very memorable. Breakfast was great. Plenty on offer for a varied range of tastes and requirements. We didn't use the pool while we were there, but the pool area looked very nice. We ate in the hotel's restaurant on our first night, and this was one of the stand-out experiences of the holiday. Great food and impressive service. The gym was excellent, and the spa was small, but decent. Everywhere was immaculately clean. We will certainly return in the future.

The order in which guests are seated for breakfast, and where they are positioned could be better organised. Couples don't necessarily want to sit next to families with small children, who often make a lot of noise. The restaurant area is big enough to allow for some segregation, so my suggestion would be to seat families in one area and those who prefer a quieter breakfast experience to be seated in another. Otherwise, there isn't anything I can fault about the hotel.

The rooms, food & location

I didnt like how we were initially given a double bed that was two single beds pushed together. However, I spoke with the staff and they changed our room which was great.

Lovely room, very spacious and clean. Friendly staff. XXL restaurant has great food.

Pool was not heated so absolutely freezing. This is such a miss in Easter as it meant there were never any kids in the pool and ours wouldn’t go in. The indoor pool was heated a little but still pretty cold.

Have stayed here a few times and always a lovely experience. The staff go out of their way to help. Victor on reception super polite and knowledgeable . Food great- breakfast is amazing choice. Ate in XXL restaurant for a celebration with friends. Attention to detail and food quality was great. Everywhere in hotel was very clean and the smell of the HUGE diffusers was lovely.
