Loved it. Will return
Fabulous hotel! Great staff beautiful surroundings good breakfast and lunch! The pool staff are 1st class!
All was good, dinner menu could be more varied?
The best staff beautiful hotel !
All good
staff exceptional
The overall hotel is lovely but quite dated. The rooms are a good size but again dated in their look and facilities. Kids excited that there is a TV in the bath, but its so old sound didn't work etc. The pool area is nice also just not a 5 star service. Breakfast was good but not for the money when you didn't get it included. Food in the restaurant was very good but took 90 minutes at which time my 8 year old was having a meltdown as so hungry! thew ladies at kids club were the exception, lovely but again the whole kids club needs an update and got messages telling me my child wanted as snack, could they not have provided som fruit or snacks for the kids......
The staff are nice but not properly five star trained. Not attentive or overly helpful in pool and restaurant areas / told on our first day you get 2 towels and a free water but thats it and everything else chargeable / which is fine but we didn't even ask and were just told this which was bit rude on our first morning. Really hard to get pool staff attention even though there are plenty of them, they were usually chatting to each other. Breakfast wasn't included in our rate even though we paid a thousand pound a night and then on arrival tried to upsell breakfast rather than tell us about the hotel. Turns out children under 11 get free breakfast anyway so were being sold things we didn't even have to pay for. Room service is a disaster, expect to call several times to chase. we got the worst view of any room, no little extras, noted welcoming, small bowl of fruit which you would normally get in a five star hotel. felt because we hadn't been to the hotel before and booked through booking.com instead of direct we were almost not important to them especially on arrival and with the room and extras. Staff need some more training, even though most of the guests are English many staff do not speak English so ordering or asking for things was a challenge. Staff didn't seem like they got on and at breakfast two staff had a massive argument where the whole of the outside tab les could hear / just little things like this need to addressed by better training. Spa is also payable and not worth it as clearly dated, the free sauna is a bit of a joke also. It's not a bad hotel just currently not worth paying that a nigh when better places to go. it needs a refurbishment and some staff training then would be up to par. Sad as I really wanted to LOVE this hotel and sadly nothing left us feeling like we wanted to return.
We arrived just after 3pm for a 2 night stay. All looked good on arrival. However, beware if you book this hotel personally, not via your business account. They may well actively punish you for it. We were advised that because a person who had an American Express booked just days ago, before staying (a few days ago”) , we booked our room by phone weeks ago, they had “bumped” us out of our room and we had to wait until 5pm to check in as a result. Those with American Express need more time to check out seemingly, draw your own conclusions as to why, and what the clientele are then likely like, if they need such a late check out on rooms that are already booked. In all my years staying in very nice resorts I have never felt such levels of disregard. Unless you paid with an AMEX (very odd in Europe), you don’t matter here, that was made crystal clear. I have never paid so much to stay somewhere that didn’t want you there, and made it really obvious from the first second you arrived. The opposite of a good 5* resort. As an experience, it’s 2-3*. For context, it’s not the most expensive, in the world, but for Portugal it might be. It’s around €1k per night (1200$). If this is the service, go to Spain, stay in an Intercontinental, you will be treated properly, not like an inconvenience, like a client. You feel welcome and valued from the first second, here, you are an inconvenience if you don’t book with an AMEX, you are “less than”. I will never stay here, or in any Hilton Group hotel for my business travel or otherwise. We were in shock. We booked our room, we were requested to prepay for it, then on arrival we were advised that basically “more important” people, by virtue of the credit card they used, had taken our room and delayed our check in by 2 hours. It was really clear “you don’t matter”, only “AMEX” clients matter. The person booking was probably using business points, not paying personally. Likely not a prospect for repeat custom. A really bad business model. They offered us “credits” and platitudes but for such an expensive resort they were all but worthless in the context of a short stay. The staff were relatively polite, not overly at management level I have to say, and not overly apologetic. It was a normal issue they were wholly desensitised too so they saw it as normal. We were treated as though we should have known this was a risk here. Confused looks. It was a burden to tell us this. It really spoiled our stay here, on arrival, and I have to say I would not book again as a result. Stick to Marriott, IHG etc who treat all clients with respect, don’t pay over the odds for Hilton where they profile you on the credit card you used to book. They will punish you for it. I don’t need a AMEX, I had one 20 years ago, I need a reliable hotel. They want business travellers here only by the look of things. People making personal bookings are “less than”, or “not privileged” was the exact quote I got. It’s a resort, not really a place for financial people using points for their family stay, the custom is diverse. As an aside, the hotel is nice, not 5* in other countries but very nice. The staff and service are 3* and that is our overarching view of this place. I am here now, it’s a 3* resort client service, likely 4*+ or 5* by how it looks. But nothing could take away from how bad they make you feel checking in. If you don’t use AMEX to check in they basically treat you as though you don’t matter, you are ballast on a ship, you exist to fill the rooms AMEX paying clients don’t have, and you should be glad that they “let” you stay here until an AMEX person wants your room. Easily the worst 5* experience I have had. To be told on check in that somebody booked a few days ago, was given your prepaid room and won’t be leaving until they are ready, is the epitome of bad client service. It’s below 3*. To lose your room to a double booked customer, who only booked a few days ago is the epitome of bad service, it should be studied by the competition on how “not to behave”. I felt bad for the staff. It’s not their choice, but they are desensitised to it. Do not book here unless you are aware of this. It’s almost €1k per night and you can be treated very badly just because of the method of payment used. If you have an AMEX ( and pound the skies for a job), then go for it. It’s probably quite nice. But if you don’t, avoid this like the plague. It’s a terrible place where you are profiled and reduced on arrival regardless of the room price. Astonishing. A terrible place in truth, unbecoming of our custom. A low grade hotel masquerading as something better. We are disgusted to stay here. If we had a longer visit (we come here for 1 month every year), I would have sought a refund and moved to another hotel, which are better in many ways just because they make you feel welcome and wanted. A disgraceful service, shameful.
Modern, comfortable, stylish surrounding with separate adults and children’s pools
Nothing
We booked the Conrad based on the many excellent reviews online for a friends 40th and arrived with high expectations. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t quite live up to them. While the rooms are very spacious, we found the décor quite dated and corporate compared with the rest of the hotel. The tiled flooring makes the rooms feel cold and particularly echoey, and noise travels easily — I was woken each morning by footsteps from neighbouring rooms. We were also surprised by the complete lack of background music around the adults’ pool. While we appreciate a peaceful atmosphere, it felt almost eerily quiet at times, with most guests wearing headphones, very little ambience. On a positive note, we really enjoyed the Nest Bar. The cocktails were excellent and it had a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately, our final evening ended on a disappointing note. We sat down for dinner at 9pm and ordered only a main course as we had an early flight the following morning. Our food didn’t arrive until 10:45pm — a wait of 1 hour 45 minutes, which we felt was completely unacceptable. To make matters worse the food that did arrive was very poor quality - the pork included 3 cubes of meat. Overall, there are some lovely aspects to the hotel, but given its reputation and price point, we expected a much higher standard and sadly left feeling disappointed.
The Conrad Quinta do Lago continues to exceed our expectations. We returned for our 5th year for a family holiday and once again the food, amenities and particularly the recent upgrade to the restaurant are top class. But what sets this hotel apart are the amazing staff. Ricardo's team at the pool, including Anna, Babu, Caleb, Esther, Rafael, Lucky, and Alan went out of their way to make sure we were looked after and were always on hand to help. They provided us with sushi that was to die for each day!! Eli, Mafalda and Filipa welcomed us every morning at breakfast with smiles and chat and anticipated our every need. The bar staff were equally as attentive and welcoming, every evening we received an amazing greeting from, Ilido, Rajon, Ranjita, Collins along with Niki and Bianca. A fabulous hotel stay. We'll be back next year.
This was our 4th time to stay at Conrad Algarve and it really did not disappoint. Myself and my husband stayed for 4 nights and it was amazing. The staff, each and every staff member are extra friendly and helpful. We had such a relaxing time, I did not want to leave. Thank you everyone at Conrad Algarve , cannot wait to return for a 5th time in October.
The property is excellent very modern beautiful interiors lovely bars , rooms are spacious well equipped . Bathrooms and products were beautiful Swimming pool and surrounding areas were very clean good quality loungers . Amazing members of staff throughout the hotel . Food was very good did not try Gusto .
View from the room we were in it looked on to apartments belonging to vote I would have preferred a view of pool or the beautiful gardens
I can best sum up as follows. We come for sun, sea and golf but we stay for the service. This is a place that has mastered the art of customer service. We have stayed here now on 6 occasions and will certainly return.
My wife and I stayed here 10 years ago and our revisit this year was equally as pleasing. Wall to wall quality, attentive staff, well maintained pool areas and the food was delightful. Two things to mention - first the concierge team worked hard to arrange a car transfer to our son’s wedding nearby but pricing was initially awry. Secondly room service breakfast was generally a delight with top delivery service but on one occasion we waited and waited and waited. The concierge and reception girls were most helpful and resolved matters to our satisfaction very quickly. Occasionally things go wrong. The way hotels resolve these is the actual measure you should use. In both instances they were first class. Finally the breakfast box for early departures is a clever complementary service. Well done Conrad.
This hotel is wonderful, very relaxing and calm. The lobby and reception were welcoming, smooth check in. Had two rooms one was a Grand King and one King, to be honest no different apart from one had nespreso machine and extra water. Rooms nicely decorated, nice bathrooms, large balcony, only negative no dressing table! The housekeeping was fabulous, always cleaned to a high standard and turn down each night! There are two pool areas one for families and one adults, not sure if It is adults only but certainly seemed that way. The pool service is great, very attentive, easy to order drinks and food, and always happy to help get sun-beds and towels etc! Special mention to the sushi guy, the sushi was fabulous very tasty and fresh! The infinity (adult) pool is shallow but superb for cooling the off with amazing views of trees and beyond. Breakfast in the restaurant by the pool was one of the best I've had both in terms of location/setting but also food. Not rushed and doesn't feel too busy, there's a buffet for fruit etc but other hot food is ordered from the menu! Again great service here! Bar (Nest) lovely place for drinks, great cocktails very friendly staff! The location of the hotel is good, walk over the road and in the Quinta shopping square with bars and restaurants, other places easy Uber, they literally take 1-2 mins to arrive! Spa also amazing, had a few treatments all of which were high quality although very pricy! Golf was arranged in advance, I wouldn't bother with the transport as Ubers are so easy and give more flexible.
Amazing stay as always! The hotel is in a league of its own in Quinta. The refurbishments are exceptional and the staff are truly amazing, especially David & Joy at the kids pool. We will definitely return again and highly recommend it. Zero faults and outstanding staff.
Excellent location, staff were very helpful and a genuine appreciation for you being there as a guest.
Nothing
First class hotel! Lovely location lovely surroundings, great breakfast and lunch! The staff are excellent especially Ricardo and his team at the pool, and the girls at breakfast and lunch.
All was good!
We’ve stayed at the Conrad a number of times and the fact we return regularly says everything really. The staff are very helpful and make sure you feel welcome and cared for. The hotel is immaculate, the best in Quinta and a great place to relax and unwind. It is expensive but it’s a Conrad and you get what you pay for.
An amazing hotel with fantastic facilities. As always, the staff were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay special.
The photos don’t leave you disappointed. It is beautiful both indoor and outdoor. Fantastic service, amazing buffet breakfast, great choice for lunch ranging from by the pool to Michelin Starred. We headed out locally (by Uber) in the evenings to experience a range of venues and cuisines - if you are staying for longer than 2/3 days then you will revisit the hotel offerings as there are only 3 evening options. It caters for couples and families. There are 2 separate pools on different levels so if you want a quieter grown up pool away from the laughter of smaller children that’s catered for. Food and drinks are expensive (depending on your budget). There are lots of very wealthy people who stay here
I travel a lot with work and often stay in Hilton hotels in the UK. Each year my wife and I stay @ the Conrad and I can honestly say it’s the best hotel we have stayed in over the years. The quality of hospitality, the facilities, the breakfast, the service is all exceptional! Huge thanks again to the team there for being so welcoming and in particular huge shout out to Claudia at breakfast. She was so hospitable this week at breakfast and such a character who we loved seeing each day. Cannot wait to return! Chris & Amy Ireland
Very disappointing room - we booked a room with a pool view and received one with a view of the other wing of the hotel- having booked 6 or 7 months in advance , one might expect the hotel ensured we got what we asked for. I would advise anyone booking to ask the hotel to guarantee the room you might be looking at on the web!
It’s been three years since we holiday’d here, but the circumstances around the Middle East has prevented us from visiting Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where we have been staying for spring sunshine in recent years. But wow, Conrad Algarve has upped its game over this period, not that it needed to! Check in experience was fabulous, and our diamond membership was recognized with vouchers for cocktails and wine. The room was out of this world comfortable. Service was excellent, not dissimilar with Dubai, which you tend not to get often in Europe. This review has less words, as I’ve included pics which tell the most of the story. The only downside? It’s expensive, very expensive! Is it worth it? - in our opinion, yes it is!
From the moment you sweep up the palm-lined drive to the domed porte-cochère, the Conrad Algarve announces itself as something special. The facilities are, quite simply, superb. The infinity pool is the jewel — a serene sun terrace with service that makes idling away an afternoon feel like the most natural thing in the world — but it is only one of several, including a beautifully mosaicked covered pool that opens on three sides to the gardens. The Conrad Spa is a sanctuary in its own right, with an ice fountain, aromatic steam room, experience showers and intuitive therapists whose treatments are genuinely first-class. Add manicured gardens, a fitness centre, tennis, an imaginative kids' club and a golf concierge with the keys to Quinta do Lago's celebrated courses, and you have a resort that caters effortlessly to every kind of guest. But it is the food that elevates a very good stay into a memorable one. All outlets were fabulous with great service! The rooms are spacious and serene — muted tones, marble bathrooms with rain showers and deep tubs, private balconies framing the gardens or the water. Throughout, the service strikes that rare balance of polish and genuine warmth; the staff anticipate rather than intrude. The Conrad Algarve is one of the finest five-star properties on this stretch of coast, and it earns the description without caveat. Exceptional facilities, exceptional food, and a sense of place that lingers long after you've left. Highly recommended. ---
Everything
Nothing
Having been visiting this hotel since 2019, the recent renovations have taken it up another level. The new pool bar is a fantastic new addition and is great for drinks and snacks throughout the day. We had a fantastic welcome from Goncalez, the concierge, though all the team take a real interest in your day. Efficient and friendly check in from Diogo who also remembered us from previous stays. We had a King Grand Deluxe Pool View Room ( 322) spotlessly clean, great walk in shower and huge comfy bed. Housekeeping do a fantastic job with evening turn down as well. ( though I do prefer these rooms located around the atrium). The pool is fantastic for chilling and all the team there go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need. Lucky and Ricardo are such good fun and are constantly buzzing around. My only criticism is the "reserving" of sunloungers with books, bags and towels. I come down early so not a problem but after 10am its full!! The Nest Bar is great in the evening and Jao and his team are fab. Sushmita and Collins are just so friendly. Breakfast is superb lots of choice from both the buffet and cooked to order and Eli remembered my drinks choice every morning. We just love it here see you next year.
Amazing!!! Everything about this hotel is just so beautiful. Staff are all so friendly and helpful. Food is fabulous. The breakfast / restaurant area is just stunning. Bedrooms are beautiful and to add to that the Byredo products just make this whole place the most luxurious hotel!!! Can’t wait to return.
What else can be said about this awesome hotel and customer relations team who look after their customers. We’ve been fortunate to stay throughout its 13-14 year history, watching it being built during our stays at the Dona Filipa in Vale do Lobo many years ago. The recent investment in the reception, bars and Oilveria resturant have moved them up a notch towards perfection. The customer service team throughout the whole hotel are some of the best I’ve ever come across in the hospitality game; quiet, friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, professional…I could go on. This is one hotel stay you will never forget.
All very good.
We requested a quiet room on a high floor but were allocated a room on ground floor and a long way in fact the furthest room from the main lobby which was disappointing especially as we are both in our late sixties.
Amazing place , everything was stunning
Go every year. Great hotel, location and staff
New owners have done a great job in recent upgrade but being put in bedroom on 1st floor behind the bar not a great experience ( tradesman entrance felt like ) Breakfast excellent but 45 euros when all I’m eating is coffee, toast and a fruit bowl is outrageous
The hotel has recently been refurbished - it is beautiful. The pool areas are gorgeous, as are the restaurants and the Nest bar. The food and drinks are absolutely delicious. Breakfast at the Olivera restaurant is a real treat and sitting at the pool bar watching the sunset over the main pool is very special.
There are many things the Conrad has got right in its reopening but some things still need improvement. The number one issue for guest experience at the moment is the scarcity of sunbeds. For some reason the management have decided that they are in a position to charge €350 for cabanas that come with sunbeds at the bottom pool and elsewhere. This creates a situation where guests are struggling to find a sunbed and half the beds are empty because guests will not pay for sunbeds at a 5* resort. This is a hotel in the Algarve not a beach club in Ibiza. Other things that could be better - there are plenty of staff around the main pool but no one ever asks if you’d like a drink which seems like a missed opportunity in terms of revenue for the hotel. There are also odd examples of trying to “nickel and dime” guests such as giving one carton of free water by the pool but charging for more than than and charging €9 for a matcha latte at breakfast. Small things but they add up.
Another fantastic stay at the Conrad Algarve. Our family loves this hotel and we return year after year because the standards are consistently exceptional. The staff throughout the hotel are outstanding and we genuinely cannot fault a single aspect of the service. A special thank you to Beatriz, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail were truly appreciated. My partner is vegan, and the hotel catered brilliantly for this, with thoughtful options and excellent service at every meal. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel itself is immaculate, with beautifully maintained facilities, spotless rooms, and a luxurious atmosphere throughout. Every member of staff contributes to making guests feel welcomed and valued. Thank you to everyone at Conrad Algarve for another wonderful holiday. We are already looking forward to returning next year. ★★★★★ 5/5 – Highly recommended.
After spending 10 wonderful days at the Conrad Algarve, I can honestly say it exceeded our expectations in almost every way. From the moment we arrived, the experience was first class. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, with a lovely, friendly bellboy helping us with our luggage. We were also offered drinks on arrival, which was a really nice touch after travelling. Our room was spacious, modern and, most importantly, spotlessly clean. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep every night. The balcony was also a great size and perfect for relaxing. Housekeeping did an excellent job throughout our stay, and the evening turndown service was another lovely touch. The food across the hotel was fantastic. Breakfast offered both an extensive buffet and made-to-order dishes, with plenty of choice and staff happy to accommodate any requests. We also enjoyed several lunches by the pool and in the restaurant, and every meal was excellent. The quality of the food was superb, and the staff were always friendly and attentive. As amazing as the hotel itself is, the standout feature for us was the Sereno pool area and, without a doubt, the incredible pool boys. They genuinely made our holiday special and are a huge credit to the Conrad. Nothing was ever too much trouble they were constantly checking if we needed anything, helping move loungers and always making us feel looked after. A special mention has to go to: Lucky – Such a genuinely lovely guy. He always made time to come over for a chat, checked that we were happy and had the biggest smile on his face every day. His positive energy really added to our holiday. Caleb – A fantastic young man who was professional, friendly and took a genuine interest in getting to know guests. He looked after us brilliantly and was always a pleasure to talk to. Saymon – Another incredibly friendly and helpful member of the team. Always welcoming, always happy to help and nothing was ever too much trouble. We really appreciated everything he did for us. Ashaduzzaman Babu – What can I say? An absolute legend. We ended up becoming friends over the course of our stay, and he genuinely made a huge difference to our holiday. He works incredibly hard, is kind, funny and always goes above and beyond for guests. We looked forward to seeing him every day by the pool because we knew we’d be looked after so well. Baboo is a real asset to the Conrad and deserves every bit of recognition. It’s difficult to find faults with the hotel. The only very minor points would be that the temperature-controlled pool could perhaps have been a little warmer, and there could be a few more sunbeds around the Serena pool but luckily we’re early risers, so it wasn’t an issue for us. Overall, this was an outstanding stay from start to finish. The hotel itself is beautiful, but it’s the people who truly make it special. We’ll definitely be returning and sincerely hope to see Lucky, Caleb, Saymon and Babu again on our next visit. Thank you all for making our holiday so memorable.
I had a fantastic long weekend here. The hotel is beautiful and immaculate. The service was mostly excellent, with just one issue that needs addressing: the person who cleaned my room should be advised to wear deodorant, as there was quite a whiff of body odour in the room after they had finished. However, the cleanliness of the rooms is exceptional, and the rooms themselves are gorgeous. Whilst this is an excellent 5-star experience, it still has some work to do. The hotel has no vibe, soul, or atmosphere, which is very noticeable. I was told the hotel had 96% occupancy over the weekend I was there, so I would have expected more of a buzz around the place. I would also question the price-to-value ratio. It is very expensive and, at this price point, I would expect an X factor that is currently lacking. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily return, but the hotel needs to develop more personality and a stronger sense of occasion to fully justify its premium pricing.
Lucurious Hotel with fantastic staff in every department. Suite was amazing & Gusto restaurant is a fabulous michelin star delight. Great pool & facilities
Gorgeous hotel and the staff were lovely - they literally couldnt do enough for you - amazing food and cocktails in a beautiful setting - such a nice atmosphere a perfect week from start to finish
Facilities are excellent, large room size & balcony, easy location and improved renovated breakfast bistro/service.
Free valet parking, but desk abandoned most time. Underground carpark has out of service lift. Lack signage. Housekeeping. 5 of 6 days our room wasnt serviced until the evening, altho room free. V disappointing (key extra versus self catering). When serviced it was however excellent. Renovations layout, requiring you walk through a bar to get to get to rooms. Very disjointed.
Very helpful staff
Very poor room allocation with workmen opposite and on north side of the hotel. Had to upgrade to a suite.
Very nice service charge and service
Location
Service very average food served cold it’s a building site far from a five star facility at the moment
Its in a reasonable location
Terrible service definitely not a five star service would consider staying there again. Poor maintenance and in a construction site
Today 6th June 2026 is our final day at the Conrad in Quinta. This has been the best week. We have had a very relaxing break and as usual the hotel was immaculate, the rooms/restaurants are fantastic and the pool is brilliant. What makes this hotel is the staff. From Breakfast, to a day at the pool, to sitting around the bar for sundown the staff cannot do enough to help and make sure you have everything you need. My wife and I love this hotel and its people. We have been coming here since 2019 and only Covid prevented us from coming every year. As this break comes to an end we can’t wait for the next time we arrive.
There was a lot of works going on around the property
A tough one to review, but at £500 a night then things should be much better than they were! Location was easily accessible, right until you want to walk across to the shops or next door to the fantastic Indian restaurant. No one had cordoned the extensive building works to the front of the hotel leaving us walking along/through a building site! We turned back and went out on the other side of the road on the first time out - then found we had no path there either! I don't understand why it is so hard to mark out a route for safe walking. I don't want to use an Uber to go a few hundred meters. There was no mention of the works on arrival which is an oversight - sure you could forgive this, but when you're chilling on your balcony at 9 in the morning and all you can here is building then it's not ideal. The Hotel itself is lovely - clean areas, great rooms and a lovely team. Really enjoyed the spa area and had a great massage. We used one of the hotel pools and enjoyed this area. There was something about the room that I couldn't work out. I guess the A/C is a shared system with gas/water being pumped around the whole hotel as it was quite loud at night when trying to sleep - sounded like someone running a tap constantly. Strange, but ear plugs and a great sleep on the lovely pillows and mattress. It really was a lovely room - we used room service for breakfast for 1 each day - €42 delivered to the room - ticked every box for continental breakfast and it was enough for both of us and substantially cheaper than going to the breakfast lounge. I wouldn't mind moving the room to another location - or just don't visit until the building work is completed. It's expensive and should be better.
Another wonderful family stay at the Conrad Algarve. Having visited several times before, it’s always a pleasure to return, and this visit was no exception. We were delighted to be upgraded to a Junior Suite, and our family group of six, spread across three rooms, was very well looked after throughout our stay. The refurbishment works are transforming the hotel. The redesigned public areas, bar, breakfast restaurant, pool area and new pool bar all look fantastic. While some work is still ongoing, the improvements already make a huge difference, and we can’t wait to see the finished result. As always, the food and drink were of a high standard, and the service from every member of staff was exceptional. A particular highlight of each day was my traditional midday Sagres beer, enjoyed in the Algarve sunshine. A fantastic family holiday, and we look forward to returning again soon.
The hotel, staff are always helpful and attentive in all areas
Not alot.
Everything - stayed there numerous times over the last 12 years or so. Best hotel in the area by far
Nothing
This hotel used to be one of the best in the region. Sadly, what remains today is mostly the reputation and one of the highest price tags in the area. The disappointment starts the moment you arrive. Instead of entering a peaceful luxury resort, you immediately feel like you are checking into a large-scale construction site. The courtyard and overall atmosphere make it clear that the hotel is far from operating at the standard guests would reasonably expect. Even if you try to ignore the construction, the service experience does not justify the price. The hotel is clearly too large for the number of staff available. Waiting around 45 minutes for food became normal, and housekeeping was unreliable. We would leave the room in the morning and return around 2pm, yet the room still had not been made up. To be fair, the staff and management on the ground seem to be trying their best, but goodwill cannot fix poor hotel policy. The real issue is that the hotel appears to be selling a premium experience while operating with construction disruption, serious understaffing and service policies that make the guest experience worse. The clearest example was being charged €8 just to have a plate and cutlery sent to the room. For a hotel charging some of the highest rates in the region, charging extra for such a basic request feels petty, desperate and completely out of touch with the level of hospitality guests should expect. Overall, this no longer feels like the luxury hotel it used to be. Given the construction, poor service levels, long waits, unreliable housekeeping and unreasonable extra charges, I would strongly recommend reconsidering your booking.
Staff were excellent
I stayed at the Conrad for some peace and quiet. Unfortunately I was woken very early due to construction happening at 7am. It was not a good experience and, for the price, I would recommend booking elsewhere.
Lovely hotel room. Large and spacious. Once again very impressed with the overall facilities and hotel. Reception staff always friendly. Room was always cleaned to high expectation.
Pool service could have been a little better. New staff seemed to be working.
The hotel was exceptionally clean, paired with great facilities and service.
Modern comfortable hotel we have stayed in previously. The staff are always extremely welcoming and helpful.
There was work being done on the hotel and surrounding area which we hadn’t been advised about.
Spotless, friendly staff, comfortable in every way
Clean, spa, staff and just a fabulous hotel
Spa
Não ter o quarto pronto à chegada.
Cheiro muito intenso a comida na ala do hotel onde fiquei
I rarely write positive reviews but the service at this hotel was so good it needs to be mentioned. They are next level polite and helpful. Staff at this Conrad needs to start a training program for Waldorf Astoria properties asap, as they effortlessly outshine them.
bom
Inconcebível um hotel de 5 ***** desta qualidade não ter um carregador para carros eletricos.
This was my third time to stay at this hotel, twice before with my husband and this time I was with my two sisters and I cannot fault this hotel at all. It was both of my sister’s birthdays and I want to thank the staff for leaving the bottle of rose and birthday plate in the room, it was such a nice touch. The staff are unbelievable, they are so friendly and helpful they cannot do enough for you. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and I love how it has been refurbished. The food is exceptional and the service is second to none. We had a thoroughly amazing time and I will make sure to return again very soon. Thank you all for making our stay so memorable
Great staff and facilities
All good
A correct overall experience, exceptional staff, high-end equipments and accommodations, but however we will not return to it for the following reasons, - Diamond status, and upgrade request refused at check-in - Diamond status, and location of the room at the back of the building, without a view, facing a building under construction with noise of work during all days of our stay - No relocation proposal despite our request to the person who accompanied us to the room. (We never known if the hotel was really fully booked in march) - Sunday evening meal at the OLIVEIRA BRASSERIE restaurant with live music, impossible to talk to each other or enjoy this moment so much the sound volume was high - Giving up wanting to enjoy the NEST BAR for the same reasons of noise, music and conversations at too high a volume High rates compared to a stay that wasn't exceptional at all.
All very good - nice hotel nice staff
Nothing
Staff were exceptional. Very friendly and helpful, made me feel very welcome and they couldn't 't do enough to help. Staff were the highlight!
Not much, most everything was perfect - perhaps the pool to be warmer but it's not easy for the hotel to control the sun
Gorgeous hotel. Excellent facilities
Excellent location, well appointed with beautiful gardens, pools, spa was spacious and had lots of pool options. Gusto restaurant was excellent, no complaints at all. The others would rate as good, but perhaps the food was a tad overcooked.
The property is being renovated so there was quite a bit of building work at the entrance. We were told this was planned to end in the next month.
Nothing. After a terrible stay, tap not working in the room neither was wall socket. Then ended up with food poisoning which the hotel have asked us after the event do we want an investigation. The hotel should automatically invetsigate such instances when we told them we only ate at the hotel.
Food and the room.. The room as outlined above and the food.. food for the in room service we received on the last night appeared to be lovely. That was until 1.30am in the morning my wife was up being violently sick and constant diarrhoea. My stomach was swirling at this time. We was checking out at 8am and when we checked we just wanted to get out of the Conrad. The receptionist asked if we had a good time where we did not respond. Later that morning it was my turn but this was while I was on the plane on the way home (both ends also, violent sick and also diarrhoea). When we got home we complained and all the response was that did we want this investigating. For the sake of the current customers and people staying at the hotel this should be a must to investiagte, not ask the customer if we want an investigation. Totally unprofessional.
The Best Hotel In QDL Just Got Better, we always book directly with the Conrad and request the same room or area of Hotel and we get it. When you arrive you are welcomed by the same staff as you saw 6 months ago or a year ago which says a lot about a Hotel. The refurbished Atrium area , bar and restaurant is beautiful. We don’t dine much at the Hotel as QDL has so many nice restaurants, but when we do it’s perfect. Breakfast is always absolutely sublime in both the selection and freshness of food and service is exquisite. Twice a year at this Hotel is never enough and we are going to sneak in an extra visit in 2026
Spa was totally overpriced
Spa prices
The environment is calm and luxurious. The rooms are spacious and the staff are excellent.
There were some works, by the brasserie/pool and the apartments which is ongoing from my stay here last year.
The location and the high standards
Nothing
Bastante confortável e excelente pequeno almoço
O circuito de águas não é nada de especial. Deveria estar incluído no preço do quarto. Não compensa, de todo, o preço face ao circuito.
Conforto
Poucas opções de alimentação
cleanliness, hospitality, I loved the spa.
the dining area could've been a little warmer, that's only if I had to pick anything negative to say.
Excellent A lovely hotel . Spacious rooms.. very clean and well kept. Food in main restaurant was delicious and very fresh. Holiday was made for us by lovely staff. Concierge very helpful, especially Cecelia . Pool area well managed . No complaints .. very much a five star hotel. Recommend
Everything
That the adult only pool , had children in playing very loudly also ball games . This happened on 3 days . It was complained about to staff , who did speak to the children , but was ignored . Lots of people around the adult pool not happy . In particular on day 3 the whole pool was taken over by the children and families playing games . It was like a villa pool party . Totality surprised as would not expect this from the Conrad . Have stayed on a number of occasions and this has not happened. I understand it’s summer holidays but there is a pool for families and children .
Great location , set up, facilities
The doors and lack of ramps for buggies. Simple but will make a difference, get some proper guiness glasses in.
Prima
Ontbijt was minder. En het extra bed op slaapkamer was erg klein.
Very clean and chic
The staff and the Nest bar
Great hotel & services. Very friendly. Good food & wine selection. Spa facilities & location.
A long walk between Spa & room.
Excellent return visit to Conrad Algarve. This hotel is absolutely spotless and reception were super helpful when we arrived. The staff are a credit to the hotel and cannot do enough to help you. Since our last visit in October 2023, The Nest bar has been renovated, which we found made it much more welcoming and comfortable to relax on an evening. Thank you to Rajon, Rangita and co for looking after us on multiple occasions. We are looking forward to returning again after further renovations are completed. The only downside to our stay was the ongoing construction works on the apartments at the front of the hotel. Our room faced directly onto the building works so on occasion we did hear noise from this. I would also suggest a temporary privacy solution as on occasion the balcony felt overlooked, although o appreciate this may be outside of the hotel’s control.
